Michael Lee Stone, 59, of Mossey Rock, Wash., formerly of Galatia, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia with the Rev. Buddy Peyton officiating. Burial will be in Brushy cemetery in Harco.
He was born to Nancy and the late Ivan Stone.
He was a Navy veteran.
He is survived by three daughters, Michelle Stegman, Melissa Stone and Nancy Kay Stone, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Karen Schlachta, also of Cincinnati; three sisters, Nancy (Tom) Greenwalt and Barbara (John) Snell of Decatur and Kay (John) Jackson of Galatia and five grandchildren.
Robert Edward Smith Sr.
Robert Edward Smith Sr., 75, of Lecanto, Fla., formerly of McLeansboro, died 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2003, at Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal Rivers, Fla.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Russell Monroe officiating. Burial will be in Smith cemetery near Dale. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2003 at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, the former Emma Lou Gholson; a daughter; a son; two grandchildren; a stepgrandchild and a brother.
Macel Anna Hobson
Macel Anna Hobson, 93, of Greencastle, Ind., passed away Tuesday evening, Dec. 10, 2002, at the Waters of Greencastle Nursing Home.
She was born June 1, 1909, in Braxton, W. Va., the daughter of William Adam and Maude (Ewing) Johnson.
On July 26, 1930, she married
Gerald Dale Hobson and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2000. She had worked at Penny's and at a dentist office in Crawfordsville, Ind., and for Goodyear in Akron, Ohio. She had been a housewife and homemaker.
Macel was a member of the Ladoga Christian Church and the Ladoga Home Ec. Club.
Survivors include a son, Gary Hobson and wife Janet of Greencastle, Ind.; three daughters, Charlotte Walter of Harrisburg, Ramona Herring of Danville, Ind., and Sandra Reichard and husband Cary of Gainesville, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Raymond Johnson and wife Johnie of Texarkana, Ark.
Her parents, husband, three brothers, four sisters, one grandson and twin great-granddaughters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, Dec. 13, 2002, at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home in Greencastle, Ind. Friends may call at the funeral home 10 a.m. to noon Friday. Burial will be in the Ladoga cemetery.

Alvin Drue, 88, of 324 E. Walnut St., Harrisburg, died 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, in the Carrier Mills Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Ownly Williams and the Rev. Donnie Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn cemetery, Harrisburg. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at the funeral home.
He was born Jan. 23, 1914, in Harrisburg to the late Samuel and Gertrude (Buckner) Drue. On March 24, 1936, he married
Mary Helen Claybrook, who preceded him in death on March 20, 1995.
He was a retired maintenance worker from the Harrisburg National Bank. He was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Harrisburg.
He is survived by a son, Charles (Aundreya) Drue Sr. of Carrier Mills; two brothers, Kyle Drew of Pittsburg, Pa., and Samuel Drue of Chicago; a niece, Betty Lou Wheeler of Maywood; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Drue of Carrier Mills; two close friends, Charlotte Taborn and James Coleman of Harrisburg; six grandchildren, USAF Senior Master Sgt. Richard (Donita) Drue of San Antonio, Texas, Brian (Kristi) Drue, Denise Drue, Damon (Cherry Shaw -- fiancee) Drue, all of Carrier Mills, Charles (Cheryl) Drue Jr. of Harrisburg and Derek (Juanita) Drue of Murphysboro and 10 great-grandchildren, William, Julia, Melissa, Jerica, Jaycie, Auburn, Caden, Chasity Bahari and Richard Blake.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Drue Sr. and William Drue and two sisters, Mary Dewitt and Juanita Woodard.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

She was born April 27, 1905, in Pinckneyville to the late Arthur J. and Lavicee Lou (Fisher) Quick. On March 2, 1925, she married
Guy R. Lynch, who preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1992.
She was a cook at the Masonic Children's Home in LaGrange and a member of Ledford Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son and his wife, Ronald and Beverly Lynch of Rock Falls; four grandchildren, James Arthur Lynch, Dennis Lynch, Michelle Renee Crebo and Mary Louise Rice; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Arthur James Lynch, four brothers and eight sisters.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials in her memory to the Ledford Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Charles R. "Ray" Evans Sr. from Villa Park, formerly of Harrisburg and Eldorado, at rest with the Lord on Monday, December 9, 2002. He retired from his position as 1st Vice President of Exchange National Bank in Chicago in 1984. Ray was the husband of the late Barbara (Booten), son of the late Dave and Antoinette Evans, son-in-law of the late Ernest and Mae Booten. He is survived by his son Chuck (Jeni), his daughters Susan (Roy) Matthews, Laura (Randy) Clark, granddaughters Tiffany and Brittany Matthews and Lindsey and Leslie Clark, and great-granddaughter Rebecca "Becca" Matthews his brother Dr. Tom (Dolly) Evans, and many cousins in the Harrisburg and Eldorado area.
