June E. Westaver
Mrs. June E. Westaver, 75, of St. Peters, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998 in Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Peters, Mo. She was the widow of Jack E. Westaver.
Her parents were the late Raymond Pola and Mary Louise Ferrell and she was born on June 17, 1922, in Harrisburg.
Mrs. Westaver was member of Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church in St. Peters.
She retired as Administrative Assistant from Armco Steel after 20 years.
Surviving are a daughter, June W. Jones of St. Peters; a sister, Mrs. Herman (Jeanne) Hertenstein of Kentucky; and two grandchildren, James E. Jones Jr. of St. Peters and Mrs. John (Julie) Darter of Cottleville, Mo.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at The Baue Chapel of St. Charles, 620 Jefferson St., St. Charles, Mo., where friends may call. Burial will be in St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church, St. Peters and may be sent to the Baue Funeral Home.
Florence Coffee
Mrs. Florence Coffee, 88, of 1420 South Washington, St., Harrisburg died at 1:21 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998 at Harrisburg Medical Center.
She was married
to George E. Coffee on Aug. 22, 1936 and he preceded her in death on April 5, 1989.
Mrs. Coffee was born on Oct. 10, 1909, in Harrisburg to the late William and Florence Gary Thomas.
She was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Mable Reynolds of Cottage Hill and Edith Warren of Centralia; a step-daughter, Flossie McGehee of Equality; two step-sons, Charlie Coffee of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and Euel Stoles, of Dyer, Ind.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Oveda Parks, and Earlene Parks; a son, Robert Parks, two brothers, Earl Thomas and Jim Thomas; and a sister, Ruth Thomas.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg, where friends called after 9 a.m. until service time. The Rev. Mark Haumschilt officiated and burial was in Rhine cemetery at Raleigh.
Will Lindsay McGregor
Will Lindsay McGregor, 77, of Clay, Ky., died at 8:10 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 5, 1998 at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, Ky.
He was a retired miner and a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Jachin Lodge No. 739 F.&A.M.; in Clay, a 50-year Mason and a Kentucky Colonel.
Surviving are his wife, Jean McGregor; a daughter, Carol Vanover of Clay; two sons, Roger of Brentwood, Tenn. and Gene Lynn of Harrisburg; a sister, Helen "Sissy" Perkins of Madisonville, Ky.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Vanover Funeral Home. The Revs. Rick Oakley and Ron Austin officiated. Burial was in the Odd Fellows cemetery in Clay.
Visitation was held Saturday from 3 to 9 p.m. and Sunday until service time. Masonic rites were held at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice of Webster County.
Ray Forrester Jr.
Ray Forrester Jr., 46, former Eldorado resident, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998 at the Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry.
Further family details and funeral arrangements will be announced later from Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado.
Mary McClure
Mrs. Mary McClure, 83, of 18 West Baker St., died at her home at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998.
She was the widow of Ollie McClure, who preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1976.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1915, in Harrisburg to the late Logan and Ella Minor Beal.
Surviving are two brothers, Jess Beal of Johnston City and Tom Beal of Chicago.
Four brothers, Willie, Ernie, Eddie and Arthur Beal and two sisters, Naomi Meuller and Aline Mitchell, preceded her in death.
The body has been cremated. Memorial services will be announced later from J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
Johnny W. Palmer Jr.
Johnny W. Palmer Jr., 23, of 7415 Montana, Ave., Hammond, Ind., died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998 in St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, Ind., as a result of a auto-train accident.
He was born on May 11, 1974, in Hammond, Ind., to John W. Sr. and Linda Seifert Palmer.
He was a brick layer and a graduate of Morton High School and attended ITT College.
Survivors include his parents, John and Linda Palmer of Hammond; grandparents, Henry Ray and Lucinda Seifert of Gary Ind. and Donna Palmer of Herod; and the following uncles and aunts, Dean and Debbie Palmer of Hebron, Ind., Stanley and Sarah Palmer, Ron and Beth Seifert and Don Seifert, all of Crown Point, Ind., Tom and Wanda Kastoff of Highland, Ind., Henry Ray and Sharon Seifert Jr. of DeMotte, Ind., Jim and Pattie Seifert and Bob and Evelyn Ketechem, all of Oblong.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Gary Hayes will officiate and burial will be in Colbert cemetery.
R.T. Joiner
R.T. Joiner, 72, a resident of Rosiclare Health Care Center, died there at 7 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998.
He was never married

He was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Stella (Carman) Joiner, a half-brother, Bruce Joiner, and a half-sister, Laverne Joiner.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Arthur Austin Jr. will officiate and burial will be in I.O.O.F. cemetery in Elizabethtown.

Anna M. Hale, 67, of Raleigh, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998 in Ferrell Hospital at Eldorado.

George A. Logan
George A. Logan, 16, of Broughton, died at 12:10 a.m Monday, Feb. 9, 1998, in Hamilton Memorial Hospital emergency room in McLeansboro of injuries received in an auto accident.
He was born on April 21, 1981 in Evansville, Ind., to George Logan Jr. and Diane (Taylor) Foster.
He was a Junior at McLeansboro High School and a member of McLeansboro High School Automotive Club.
Surviving are his father George Logan Jr. and wife, Donna of Broughton; his mother, Diane Foster and husband, Mike of Harrisburg; her sister Alecia Logan of Harrisburg, paternal grandparents, George Sr. and Norma Logan of Broughton; maternal grandparents, Bud and Ludene Taylor of Enfield; an uncle, Darrell Logan of Broughton; and three step-sisters, Angie, Lesley and Carrie Foster.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Randall Ragan officiating. Burial will be in Hebron cemetery near Walpole.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Harre Funeral Home.
William Darrel Piper
William Darrel Piper, 74, of Sesser, and formerly of Raleigh Road, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998 in St. Johns Hospital in Springfield.
He was born on April 11, 1924, in Sesser to the late Orval and Wanda (Gulley) Piper. He was formerly married
to Mary (Phillips) Piper Loerch.
Mr. Piper was an electrical engineer and a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of the Sesser American Legion and Veterans of Foreign War posts and was affiliated with the Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Jon Piper of Litchfield, Daniel Piper of Granite City, and David Piper of Nashville; two daughters, Dianne (Piper) Rybak of Dixon, and Donna (Piper) Wallace of Belleville; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Iris LeVault of Sesser; a dear friend, Ikey; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister.
Services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Sesser. The Rev. Jack Wolfe and the Rev. Floyd Blackard will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery in Sesser.
The body will be take to the church to lie in state from noon until service time.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser.
