Paul W. Daily, 77, of McLeansboro, died 1:30 a.m. Friday, April 13, 2001, at his home.
Visitation is 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Gholson Funeral Home of McLeansboro. Service is 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2001, at the funeral home. The Rev. Tony Jenkins will officiate. Burial is in I.O.O.F. cemetery in McLeansboro.
He is survived by several cousins and a special friend, Agnes Gunter of McLeansboro.
Cynthia Aaron Coleman
Cynthia Aaron Coleman, 44, of North Carolina, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Doreen Theresa Whitler
Mrs. Doreen Theresa Whitler, 57, wife of Jerry Whitler, died at 3:55 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 1999 at her home at 705 Dewey St., Eldorado.
She and her husband owned and operated the Cottage Flower Shop in Eldorado for 25 years. They were married
on Feb. 25, 1963 in Las Vegas, Nev.
She was born on Nov. 21, 1941, in Bismark, N.D. to Lester G. and Pauline (Wilmers) Schonert of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
Mrs. Whitler attended the Eldorado First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the F.T.D. District 5 H, American Legion Auxiliary and the Saline County Ladies Golf Association.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Mike Craig and Jan and Greg Thaxton, of Eldorado; a brother, Kenneth G. and wife, Doris Schonert of Saugas, Calif.; three grandchildren, Lynsey Jo Theresa Thaxton and Jayse Thaxton and Aaron Craig; her mother-in-law, Delsie Whitler of Eldorado; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Fr. Don Abell and the Rev. Brad Brault will officiate. Burial will be in Wolf Creek cemetery in Eldorado.
Hazel Wilson
Mrs. Hazel Wilson, formerly of Eldorado, died on Jan. 31, 1999 in Vancouver, Wash.
She married
Harold Wilson in 1926. He taught agriculture in Eldorado High School from 1937 to 1944. They eventually settled in Danville, Ind., where they lived until her husband died. Mrs. Wilson was born on Nov. 10, 1901, in Urbana, to James and Anna Everman.
In 1993, she moved to Vancouver to live with her son. She has always enjoyed reading, playing the piano and her church activities. She had a wonderful sense of humor to go along with her beautiful Christian spirit.
She is survived by three sons, Maury Wilson of Vancouver, Wa., Jim Wilson of Missoula, Mont. and Lanny Wilson of West Lafayette, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999 at Baker Funeral Home in Danville.
Russell Warren
Russell Warren, 72, formerly of Rosiclare, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999 at his home in Ava. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. David (Regina) Cowsert of Golconda and Mrs. Mike (Sharon) Robinson of Elizabethtown; five sons and daughters-in-law, James R. and Dora Warren of Rosiclare, Ronnie and Geneva Warren of Golconda, Larry and Elizabeth Warren of Elizabethtown, Gary and Rita Warren of Cave-in-Rock and Ricky and Anna Warren of Golconda; a sister, Berry Erb of Marissa; four brothers and three sisters-in-law J.T. and Marianne Warren of Boston, Mass., Ralph Warren of Cave-in-Rock, Alfred and Jan Warren of Harrisonville, Mo., and Jerry and Lois Warren of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Grace (Carman) Warren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hosick Funeral Home in Rosiclare. There will be no service.
Mildred L. Neidige
Mrs. Mildred L. Neidige, 78, of 302 NW 11th St., Washington, Ind. died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999 at her home.
She married
Charles J. Neidige in September, 1952. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1996. She was born on May 11, 1920, in Shelbyville, Ind. to the late Clarence and Laura Joyce.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy Russell of Sanford, Fla.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Figg of Carrier Mills and Jack Ashcraft of Mesa, Ariz.; and a sister, Irene Neidige of Washington, Ind. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary in Washington, Ind., where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and before the funeral hour on Saturday. Burial will be in St. Johns cemetery
Guy King Patterson
Guy King Patterson, 76, of 250 S. Ocean Blvd., Boca Raton, Fla., died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999 at the Manor Care Center of Boca Raton.
He was born on Sept. 25, 1922, in Harrisburg to the late Guy Thomas and Olive (King) Patterson. He was senior vice-president of Cigna Insurance.
On May 5, 1944, he married
the former Dorothy W. Wheatly. She survives along with a daughter, Mrs. Clark (Joan) Moore of Tampa, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Lawn cemetery at Harrisburg. Dr. Roger Lyons will officiate.
Visitation after 11 a.m. Thursday until service time at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
Vernal Jr. Gwaltney
Vernal Jr. Gwaltney, 69, of 918 Webber St., Eldorado, died 7:15 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Eldorado, to Ishmael and Lucille (Barton) Gwaltney.
He was a dock worker and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
He is survived by two sons, Donald Gwaltney and Roy Gwaltney, both of Eldorado; one brother, Joseph Edward Gwaltney of Eldorado; one sister, Leone Burgess of Flora; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at at Elmwood cemetery in Equality, with the Rev. Russell Helton officiating.
Visitation is from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. Friday at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. Burial is in Elmwood cemetery in Equality.
Wanda Lee Schleicher Littlepage
Wanda Lee Schleicher Littlepage, 74, of Johnston City, died 11:05 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, in Herrin Hospital.
She was born Jan. 12, 1926, in Benton, to Everett and Nona (Malone) Rea. She first married
Peter Schleicher who died in 1957. In 1975, she married
Roy Littlepage, who survives.
She was a secretary at Freeman United Coal Co. in West Frankfort for 23 years, retiring in February 1985. She was a member of Johnston City Chapter Eastern Star and First Baptist Church in Johnston City.
She is survived by six daughters, Gloria and husband, LeRoy Nolle of Auburn, Sherry and husband, Shaun Dalrymple of Boulder, Colo., Marsha and husband, Danny Stewart of Benton, Janice and husband, Allen Crawford of Benton, Jeanne and husband, David Grant of Galatia, and Peggy and husband, Lloyd Hogg of Herod; her mother-in-law, Verna Littlepage of Galatia; a brother, Melvin Fitzgerald and wife, Verna of Christoper; a sister, Lois Russel of Clarksville, Ind.; special friends, John Ponsetti and Debbie Mitchell; a brother-in-law, Charles Littlepage of Johnston City; 13 grandchildren, Steve and Stephanie Bergin, Peter Dalrymple, Eric and Tracey Stewart, Chris and wife, Amy Crawford, Valerie and Kelsey Crawford, Ryan Grant, Curtis and Gina McClusky, Jim and wife, Catricia Gill and Mandy Hogg; three great-grandchildren, Ashley Christina Cairel, Dylan Joseph Stewart and Payton Marie Bergin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Luther Rea and William Rea; two sisters, Laverne Falcomata and Ruby Reynolds; a great-granddaughter, Jessica Alicia Stewart; her first husband Pete Schleicher and friend, Bernice Ponsetti.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City, with the Rev. Larry Stevens officiating. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Masonic and Oddfellows cemetery in Benton.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the First Baptist Church of Johnston City.
James C. Sanders
James C. Sanders, 94, of Fort Myers, Fla., died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at his residence. Formerly of Carmi, Mr. Sanders lived in Fort Myers since 1956.
He was born Sept. 7, 1905, in Carmi, the son of John T. and Loutisha (Hatcher) Saunders. He was retired and the previous owner and operator of Sanders Flying Service in Immokalee, Fla.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby (Erkman) Sanders of Fort Myers, Fla.; one daughter, Margaret Sterling of Fort Myers; two grandchildren, Andrew Reingardt of West Chester, Pa. and Melanie Reingardt of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Howard Saunders and wife, Therma of Carmi; two sisters, Wanda Lee of Effingham, Roberta and husband, Don Johnston of Terre Haute, Ind.; and two sisters-in-law, Dorys Saunders of Carmi and Lorraine Saunders of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Arthur Saunders and John Saunders; and two sisters, Leona Hawthorne and Edna Warthen.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Cook Funeral Chapel in Carmi, with burial in Maple Ridge cemetery in Carmi. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at the funeral home.
