Ruth Utley
Mrs. Ruth Utley, 82, of 2600 Jones St., Eldorado, died at 8:05 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 1999 in the Wood Glen Pavilion in West Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noel Utley on June 24, 1997.
Mrs. Utley was born on Dec. 28, 1916, in Eldorado to the late Daniel and Stella (Westfall) Hudgins.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert D. and Ann Utley of Aurora and Donald R. and Linda Utley of Garfield, Minn.; a daughter, Denise Higgins of West Chicago; two sisters, Juanita Wilson of Eldorado and Geraldine Overton of Glen Ellyn; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Daniel, Kenneth, Mitchell, and Claude Hudgins, and a sister, Elsie Dodd.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Wolf Creek cemetery in Eldorado. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado.
Doyle E. Christie
Doyle E. Christie, 71, of Eldorado, and formerly of Norris City died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, June 6, 1999 at his residence.
He was born on Sept. 10, 1927, in Haubstadt, Ind., son of Wilbur Otto and Grace (Hess) Christie.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, the former Loretta Welborn. They were married
on Sept. 9, 1950. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Jane Pollard and Evelyn Benters, both of Mount Sterling, Ky. and Linda Kell of Princeton, Ind.; three sons, Larry and Jerry Christie, both of Norris City and Bob Christie of Mount Carmel; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Christie and two grandchildren.
Arrangements are pending at the Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
Logan Henry Frailey
Logan Henry Frailey, 86, of Cave-in-Rock, died Friday, June 4, 1999 in City Care Center at Eldorado.
He is survived by three sons, Johnnie Frailey of Cave-in-Rock, Gary Frailey of Rosiclare and Winthol Frailey of Marion, Ky.; a daughter, Gladys Clanton of Panama Beach City, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Frailey.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave-in-Rock, where visitation was held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Burial was in Cave Hill cemetery.
Lena Rachel Holbrook
Mrs. Lena Rachel Holbrook, age 100, a resident of Harrisburg Care Center and formerly of Rosiclare, died 5:55 p.m. Friday, June 4, 1999 in Harrisburg Medical Center. She was the widow of Oscar Holbrook. She was a member of the Rosiclare United Methodist Church and a charter member of Rosiclare Order of Eastern Star Chapter 971.
She retired from Hardin County General Hospital in Rosiclare as a nurses aide.
Surviving are a daughter, Pauline Sheridan of Rosiclare; a son, Barney and wife, Melva Holbrook of Carbondale; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, Asa and Dellar (Hart) Webb, two brothers, and three sisters.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Union Ridge cemetery near New Haven. Bro. Bert Bishop officiated.
Hosick Funeral Home of Rosiclare was in charge of the arrangements.
Benjamin "Bennie" Henning
Benjamin "Bennie" Henning, 78, a resident of Carrier Mills Nursing Home, died at 5:53 a.m. Sunday, June 6, 1999 at Harrisburg Medical Center.

James Reynolds
James Reynolds, 66, of Rural 4, Golconda, died at 8:20 p.m. Sunday. He is survived by his wife, Gerri Reynolds.

Corbett Quinn Stuby
Services for Corbett Quinn Stuby, 80, of Harrisburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Mark Haumschilt will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn cemetery.
Mr. Stuby resided at 215 W. South St., Harrisburg and died at 9 p.m. Thursday in Herrin Hospital.
Ann M. McDonough
Mrs. Ann M. McDonough, 92, formerly of Lafayette, Ind. died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.
Her husband, Matthew McDonough, preceded her in death in 1943.
She was a graduate of the Cook County School of Nursing, Chicago, and was employed by Purdue University before retiring in 1972.
Surviving are one daughter, Kathleen Ferrell of Eldorado; two sons, Matthew McDonough of Lafayette and Thomas McDonough of Elkins Park, Pa.; and two grandsons, Matthew McDonough and Kenton Ferrell.
Visitation will be at the Watson Funeral Home, Eldorado from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday with a memorial service at 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery, River Grove.
Edna Beatrice King
Edna Beatrice King, 82, a resident of Rosiclare Healthcare Center in Rosiclare, died there at 2:10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Rosiclare and the Eastern Star.
Surviving are two sisters. Catherine Lievers of Pueblo, Colo. and Pauline McEwin of Dallas, Texas; and two brothers, Garcia Glen Ralph and Elmer Ralph Jr., both of Elizabethtown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold King; her parents, Elmer and Lizzie (Frailey) Ralph; two sisters, Alberta Holbrook and Frances Walker; and a brother, Alfred Ralph.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hosick Funeral Home in Rosiclare, where friends may call from4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Leonard Largent will officiate and burial will be in the Fluorine cemetery at Rosiclare.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Christian Church Ladies' Auxiliary.
Eastern Star services will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral Home.
William Edward 'Bill' Roberts
Services for William Edward "Bill" Roberts, 62, of Rural Route 1, Eldorado, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. The Rev. Russell Helton will officiate with burial in Wolf Creek cemetery at Eldorado.
Mr. Roberts died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 1999 at the funeral home, where the Masonic rites will be at 7:30 p.m.
Virgil E. Irvin
Virgil E. Irvin, 75, of Punta Gorda, Fla., and formerly of Dale, died at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda.
He was born March 1, 1925 in Hamilton County to Collis and Lillie (Tucker) Irvin.
Mr. Irvin was a retired switchman for TRRA Railroad in Madison. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. He was Protestant by faith.
He is survived by three sons, Robin Irvin and wife, Linda of Troy, Mo., Michael Irvin of Granite City, and Marcus Irvin and wife, Kerry of Seminole, Fla.; three daughters, Sherrill and husband, Wade Randall of Punta Gorda, Fla., Brenda and husband, Phil Melton of Naples, Fla., and Cindy and husband, Joe Casebolt of Decatur, Ind.; one brother, Robert Irvin of Washington; three sisters, Sylvia Smith of East Peoria, Joanne Lawler of Peoria, and Colleen Clark of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and one grandchild.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Sunday, June 11 at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro, with the Rev. John Denham officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial is in Hickory Hill cemetery in Broughton with graveside military rites by the American Legion Post No. 106.
