Fonnie Garl Hendrix Jr.
Fonnie Garl Hendrix Jr., 76, of Bay St. Louis, Miss., formerly of Eldorado, died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998, at the Hancock Medical Center in Bay St. Louis.
His wife, the former Betty Sue Reeder; a son, and daughter-in-law, Richard Garl and Tricia Hendrix of Orlando, Fla.; and a grandson, Richard Garl Hendrix II of Eldorado, survive.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg. The Rev. Barry Winders will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Lawn cemetery at Harrisburg.

Mrs. Mary Durfee, 95, a resident of Carrier Mills Nursing Home, died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 1998 in Harrisburg Medical Center.

Mrs. Josephine Crain, 83, of Carrier Mills, died at 5:47 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999 at Harrisburg Medical Center.
She was the mother of Anna Rose Gogue of Carrier Mills.

Zelda Rendleman
Mrs. Zelda Rendleman, 89, of 120 S. Land St., Harrisburg, formerly of Pleasant Hill community, died at 6:37 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999 at Saline Care Center, Harrisburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Rendleman. She was the daughter of the late James and Lily (Patton) Porter.
Mrs. Rendleman was a charter member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary at Harrisburg Medical Center. She retired from Elgin State Hospital.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Elbert and Dorothy Rendleman of Rural, Elizabethtown and James and Doris Rendleman of Rural, Auburn, Nebr.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Ken Harms of Rural, Auburn and Jane and Gary Tosh of Tunnel Hill; two sisters, Ina Tite of Ozark and Clyda Fae Roe of Marion; two sisters-in-law, Mary Porter of Cave-in-Rock and Mildred Rendleman of Pittsburg; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A brother, Billy Porter, a sister, Mary Oma Winders, and a grandson, preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Hosick Funeral Chapel in Rosiclare, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Clifford Rose will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
Helen Lavada Skelton
Mrs. Helen Lavada Skelton, 87, of Blue Springs, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999 in St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Nov. 16, 1911 in Eldorado.
Mrs. Shelton was a switchboard operator.
Surviving are two sisters, Betty Lou Dominey and Louise Green, both of California; a stepson, Jack Skelton of Rock Falls; a stepdaughter, Ruth Voss of Blue Springs, Mo.; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eldorado, where she was a member. Burial will be in Salem cemetery.
Friends may call after 8 a.m. Thursday at the church until service time.
Glen Clark
Glen Clark, 89, of 7397 U.S. 45 South, Carrier Mills, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999 at his home. His wife, Virgie Clark, survives.

Services for Jesse J. Shockley, 73, of Rosiclare, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hosick Funeral Home Chapel in Rosiclare, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Earl Cowsert will officiate and burial will be in Fluorine cemetery at Rosiclare, with veterans graveside rites by American Legion Post 571.
Jerry Glendall Millikan
Graveside services for Jerry Glendall Millikan, 63, of Cave-in-Rock, will precede burial at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cave Hill cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Golden Circle Building Fund of Elizabethtown or Hospice of Southern Illinois, 1110 N. Johnson, Marion.
There will be no visitation at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home of Cave-in-Rock.
Silas E. Ripplinger
Visitation for Silas E. Ripplinger, 64, of Evansville, Ind. will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado, where the Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eldorado. Burial will follow at Mount Oval cemetery at Norris City.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Tiffany Nicole (Donnell) Ferrell
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Tiffany Nicole (Donnell) Ferrell, 17, wife of Daniel Ferrell, of Galatia, are still pending at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado.
Tiffany was dead on arrival at Harrisburg Medical Center at 6:16 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, following an auto accident at the intersection of Harco and Brown Road.

Shirley Ann Cantrell
Mrs. Shirley Ann (Kingston) Cantrell, 51, of 800 Academy St., Eldorado, died at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at her home.
She was born on Jan. 16, 1948 in Eldorado, to Paul and Catherine (Allen) Kingston. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church in Eldorado.
Surviving are her husband, Gene Cantrell; her mother and step-father, Catherine and Eschol Goins of Eldorado; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Janice Cantrell of Equality, Eric and Lisa Cantrell and Leslie and Nedra Cantrell, both of Eldorado; a sister, Beverly Jean "Scherer" Simmons of Cave-in-Rock; six grandchildren, Austin, Levi, Mindy, Erica and Racheal Cantrell, and Luke Banks.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Kingston and a brother, Sidney Kingston.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Wolf Creek cemetery at Eldorado. Dr. Larry Pugh will officiate. There will be no visitation at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery.
