Fonnie G. Hendrix, Jr.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gaskins Funeral Home for Fonnie G. Hendrix Jr., who died on Dec. 22, 1998 at the Hancock Medical Center in Bay St. Louis, Miss. He was 76.
Services will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Barry Winders officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn cemetery.
Memorials should be made to the American Cancer Society.
Lester Lee
Lester Lee, 79, of 5555 Hwy. 13 W. of Harrisburg, died at 3:23 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998 at Harrisburg Medical Center.
He was born on Jan. 19, 1919.
He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Kinsey.

John E. Hays, 75, of 616 S. Land St., Harrisburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998, in Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
He was born on May 18, 1923.
Surviving is his wife, the former Mildred Thacker. Further family details and funeral arrangements will be announced later from the Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
Marty Pyle
Marty Pyle, 56, died 7 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998 at his home, 107 Maple St., Carrier Mills.
He was born on April 11, 1942, in Carrier Mills to the late John C. and Hazel (Martin) Pyle.
He was an Army veteran and a member of the Carrier Mills American Legion Post.
Surviving are two sons, Tom Pyle of Lincoln, Mich., and Jon Pyle of Whitefish, Mont.; a granddaughter, Ashley Ann Pyle of Lincoln; a sister, Evanell Graves of Attica, Mich.; and his brother, James Pyle of Goodrich, Mich. He was preceded in death by his daughter Angela Pyle.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, where friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Salem cemetery with military rites by the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American Legion posts.
Rondal Eugene Maloney Sr.
Ronald Eugene Maloney Sr., 84, of Tuscon, Ariz., formerly of Ridgway, died Monday, Sept. 28, 1998, in Tuscon.
He was born in Ridgway, on Feb. 6, 1914, to the late Joseph O. and Lillie (Jones) Maloney.
He was a retired farmer and a retired switchman from the P.& P.U. Railroad.
On Jan. 9, 1933, he married
the former Lucille Fulton. She preceded him in death in November 1958. He then married
to the former Frances Kimble in September1971 and she preceded him in death on Feb. 6, 1998.
Surviving are two sons, Rondal Maloney Jr. of Anna Dale, Va., and Carroll Maloney of Groveland; four sisters, Louise Seiner of East Alton, Dorothy Hedges of Wood River, Catherine Hargrave of Omaha, and Bernice Franich of Warden; a brother, William "Pete" Maloney of Wood River; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Rondal Keith Maloney, a brother, Charles Maloney, and a sister, Eva Webb.
There will be no visitation at Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway. A graveside service will precede burial at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, 1998, at Jones cemetery in Ridgway. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery.
Orpha Braden
Mrs. Orpha Braden, 88, wife of Robert Braden of Galatia, died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998, at her home.

Malinda Ledbetter
Mrs. Malinda Ledbetter, 91, of New Haven, died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998 at Carmi Skilled Care.
She married
McKinley Ledbetter in 1925. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Mrs. Ledbetter was born in Gallatin County on Nov. 16, 1906, to the late Wiley and Rosa (Goforth) Bean.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy Sturgal of Carmi; a sister, Melbra Holtzclaw of Evansville, Ind.; four brothers, Raymond Bean of Carrier Mills, Mac Bean of Beckmeyer, Chalon Bean of Olney, and Calvin Bean of New Haven; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Corean Pettyjohn; nine brothers and sisters, and a grandson.
Graveside services will be precede burial at 11 a.m. Saturday at Union Ridge cemetery in New Haven. Those attending should go directly to the cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cox and Son Funeral Home in New Haven.
Grace Gammeter
Grace Gammeter, 75, of Marion, formerly of Rosiclare, died at 6 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 1999 at her home. She is survived by her husband, Walter Gammeter of Marion; three sisters, Louise Dixon and Joann Wysynski, both of Golconda, and Ethelene Torres of El Paso, TX; two half-brother, Ben Lievers of Golconda and Charles Lievers of Comanche, IA.; one grandchild and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Jane (Owen) Lievers; two sisters, Maxine Molik and Pearl Ledbetter; two brothers, William E. Lievers, Jr. and Roy Lievers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 1999 at Hosick Funeral Chapel in Rosiclare. Dr. William Browning will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 1999 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Marion or the Williamson County Women's Center in Marion.

Harleith Cornelius Smith, 83, of Herrin, died at 4:23 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, 1999 at Herrin Hospital in Herrin. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 30 at Johnson Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Ron Henwood officiated. Burial was at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy.
Dale Edward Bond
Dale Edward Bond, 71, of Marion, died at 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, 1999 at the V.A. Medical Center in Marion. Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 1999 at the Third Baptist Church in Marion with Dr. Jerry Ford officiating.
James Brad Fritch
James Brad Fritch, 18, of Walland, Tenn., died on Sunday, June 27, 1999 at his family home.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. today in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary, in Maryville, with Elder Hoyle Taylor and Rev. Mike Boring officiating. Interment will be Thursday in Old Home cemetery in Eddyville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today. The family suggests donations may be made to the Tennessee School of the Deaf in Fritch's memory.

Margaret Linden, 65, of 3427 Bellwood Ln., Glenview, died on Saturday, June 26, 1999. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 1999 at St. Catherine Laboure Church in Glenview. Fern Jines
Services for Mrs. Fern Jines was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 1999 at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with the Rev. Gene Auxier officiating. Burial was at Pleasant Hill cemetery in Dahlgren.
Mrs. Jines, 93, of Linden, Alabama, formerly of Dahlgren, died at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 27, 1999 at Marengo Care Center in Linden.
Auda A. Stone
Auda A. Stone, 93, of 704 Madison St., Eldorado, died at 8:10 a.m. Monday, May 10, 1999 in the New Harmonie Health Care in New Harmony, Ind.
He was born of Dec. 7, 1905 in Saline County, to the late Otto and Maggie (Barker) Stone.
For 25 years, Mr. Stone served as teacher, principle, and superintendent in the Eldorado City Schools. His first teaching was in the rural schools in Saline County. He also served in the Cape Girardeau, Mo. school system. He retired from teaching in 1972.
Mr. Stone also served in the military during World War II.
His professional services were extensive. They included President of the Saline County Teacher's Association, membership in the Southern Illinois Schoolmaster's Club and division chairman of the elementary principal and superintendent section of the division.
Stone's contributions to the community go beyond the school system. He was a longtime member of the Eldorado Memorial Library and served on the Shawnee Library System.
He also worked with the Saline County Red Cross Blood Program. He had been a member of the Lions Club for many years and served in most of the offices and was zone chairman and deputy district governor for six years.
He held a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in Administration and Supervision from SIU with work toward a doctoral.
Mr. Stone was a member of the Eldorado United Methodist Church. After he retired, he was appointed regional director of 13 Southern county units of retired teachers.
He first married
the former Lena Tate. She died in 1975. He later married
the former Ruth A. Sutton. She died on Oct. 10, 1996.
Surviving are a daughter, Janet Mobley of New Haven; a niece, Louise Gregory of Nashville, Tenn.; nephews, Lawrence Stone of Pekin and Dr. Dean Stone of Clinton, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Aubra Stone and Edgar Stone and a sister, Dena Chandler. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado, where visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Brad Brault will officiate. Entombment will be in the Brushy cemetery Mausoleum.
