Dorothy L. (Zimmer) Williams
Mrs. Dorothy L. (Zimmer) Williams, 71, of Herod, died at 12:57 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 1998, in Deaconess Hospital at Evansville, Ind.
She was the widow of Clyde E. Williams.
Mrs. Williams was the youngest daughter of the late Matthew and Mary "Mae" Zimmer. She was born on June 24, 1927, in Harrisburg.
Surviving are five children, Linda Lea and Frank Kastelic of Sanford, Mich., Patricia Williams and Jim Thornberry of Port Allsworth, Alaska, Mark Edward and Sandee Williams, and Barbara and Jeff Sinchak of Highland, Ind.; Julie L. Williams and Dan Rotter of Apache Junction, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sisters, Margaret Hatcher of Harrisburg, Mary Silver of Evansville, Ind., Julia Carnett of Highland, Ind., and Saloma Grable Lindsey of Bloomfield, Ind.; and a brother, Thomas Zimmer of Lake Station, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Jewell Chambers of Golconda, and Geneva Williams of Elizabethtown; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Agnes (Beverage) Cohen and a brother, David Zimmer.
She had worked for Wal-Mart in Harrisburg for many years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg. The Rev. Jack Stallings will officiate and burial will be in Lindale cemetery at Eldorado.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
Thetna Arnold
Mrs. Thetna Arnold, 75, died at 4:15 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, in Harrisburg Care Center.
Survivors include a stepbrother, Homer Vinyard of Miami, Fla.; a step-sister, Mildred Trombitory of Tennessee; and a cousin, Farris Tadlock of New Orleans, La.
Graveside services will precede burial in Good Hope cemetery at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Mike Davis will officiate.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
A.B. 'Blue' Colbert
A.B. "Blue" Colbert, 86, of Junction, died at 7 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, 1998, at Marion VA Hospital.
He was born on July 21, 1912, in Junction, son of the late A.E. and Carrie (Vinyard) Colbert.
Mr. Colbert was a retired carpenter and a World War II veteran. He was a member of the Junction Odd Fellows Lodge, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars in Rosiclare.
On July 22, 1933, he married
the former Velesta Crowe. She preceded him in death on May 17, 1956.
Surviving are four daughters, Charolette M. Davis of Glendale, Ariz., Claudette Tribuzizo of Dixon, Betty A. Moye of Phoenix, and Sharon Williams of Atlanta, Ga.; three sons, Gary Colbert of Phoenix, Cyril Colbert of Londonderry, N.H., and Gregory Colbert of Kaulia, Hawaii; two sons from a second marriage, Brad Colbert of Metropolis, and Kevin Colbert of Audora. Also surviving are a sister, Reba and her husband, John Bradley of Phoenix; a brother, Burrell Colbert of Alton; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, Callie Colbert and Margaret Robinson, and three brothers, Herschel, Herbert and Howard Colbert.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Vickery Funeral Home in Equality, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Roy Dale Orr will officiate. Burial will be in Colbert cemetery with military rites by the Equality American Legion Post 595.
Zachary Alexander Landrum
Zachary Alexander Landrum, 4-day-old son of James M. and Paula J. (Brooks) Landrum, of Kansas City, Mo., died Friday, Dec. 4, 1998, in Overland Park Regional Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas
Besides the parents, he is survived by a brother, Nicholas Landrum of Kansas City; paternal grandmother, Judy Barkdull of Kokomo, Ind. paternal grandfather, Ted Landrum of Kokomo; maternal grandparents, Ron and Alice Brooks of Stonefort; maternal great-grandmother, Alice Brooks of Alton; and maternal great-great-grandmother, Edith Rose of Carrier Mills
Graveside services will be held Thursday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Joyner cemetery at Stonefort. There will be no visitation and friends should go directly to the cemetery. The Rev. Doug Burkhamer will officiate.
Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is in charge of the arrangements.

Jennifer Ann King
Jennifer Ann King, 30, Harrisburg, died 2:25 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2001, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 28, 1971, in Chicago, daughter of Robert L. and Doris (Sullivan) Sanders of Harrisburg, who survive.
Funeral service is 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2001 at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg. The Rev. Alan Porter will officiate and the Rev. Albert Ingram will assist. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2001 at the funeral home. Burial is in Lindale cemetery, Eldorado.
She was a correctional officer at Vienna Correctional Center, Vienna. She also worked at Farm Fresh in Harrisburg.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Ralph King Jr., Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters, Pamela Hawkins, Eldorado, and Jeanette Hahn, Roxboro, N.C.; one nephew, Ray Hawkins; three nieces, Amanda Bethel, Heather Hahn and Nikki Hawkins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin King.
Gary N. Holt
Gary N. Holt, 54, 1306 Scott Street, Eldorado, died 2:50 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2001, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 23, 1946, in Milliocket, Maine, son of Maurice Wayne and Alta (Campbell) Holt. He was married
to Dorothy Everly Holt, who preceded him in death Sept. 22, 1997. He married
Emma Lee (Melton) Holt on Dec. 24, 1999, who survives.
The body has been cremated. Memorial service is 1 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2001, at First General Baptist Church, Owensboro, Ky.
Gary was a military veteran. He was a truck driver. He attended Miracle Temple Church in Wasson.
Gary is survived by his wife, Emma Lee Holt; parents, Maurice Wayne and Alta Holt, Dummer, N.H.; sons, Robert Holt and Norman Holt, both of Owensboro, Ky., and Brian Holt, Cincinnati; two stepsons, Conrad McCloskey, Peyton, Colo., and Kelly Melton, Jackson, Mo.; daughter, DeeAnna Hodges, Owensboro; three brothers, Wayne Holt, Dummer, N.H., Carl Holt, Milan, N.H. and Brian Holt, Dummer, N.H.; sister, Sherry Main, Dummer, N.H.; four grandchildren and one stepgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Everly Holt and his stepson, Gene Hooten, who died Aug. 18, 1997.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois or Mr. Holt's wife, Mrs. Emma Lee Holt.
Audrey Marie Jacobs
Audrey Marie Jacobs, age one day, McLeansboro, died Monday, July 30, 2001, at Cardinal Glennon Hospital, St. Louis.
She was the newborn daughter of Ami Jacobs of McLeansboro.
Graveside services will precede burial at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2001, at Mt. Olivet cemetery, near McLeansboro, with the Rev. Creighton Hampton officiating. Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Arrangements are in the charge of Gholson Funeral Home, McLeansboro.
Audrey is survived by her mother and four grandparents.
Betty Horning
Mrs. Betty Horning, 63, wife of Jack Horning, of 317 East Walnut St., Eldorado, died at 10:12 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
She was on Aug. 8, 1935, in Harrisburg, to the late James and Mymble Evans Anderson. Mrs. Horning was a partner in the Eldorado Printers for 30 years.
She was a member of the Harrisburg First United Methodist Church and Alpha Upsilon of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Lu Horning of Eldorado; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jane and Butch Wager and DeDe Bryant, all of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Mark and Ben Bryant, and Ariel and Evan Wager, all of Harrisburg; her mother-in-law, Brenice Horning of Harrisburg; two brothers, Elvis Anderson of Memphis, Tenn. and Johnny Anderson of Harrisburg; three sisters, Joeann Johns of Wood River, Liz McClusky of Junction, and June Ritchie of Tacoma, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Claude Knight, a son-in-law, Bob Bryant, a brother, Bob Anderson, and a sister, Ruby Kessel.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999 at J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. David MacDonna and the Rev. Dennis Doane will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Hill cemetery in Harrisburg.

Era Bee Holland
Mrs. Era Bee Holland, 84, a resident of Harrisburg Care Center, died at 7:36 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 1999 at Harrisburg Medical Center.
She was the widow of Muriel L. Holland, who preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 1996.
She was born on Oct. 9, 1914, in Harrisburg, to the late R. Houston and Mary Ann (Mattingly) Hendrix. She was among the first to be employed as a child care attendant at the former A.L. Bowen Children's Center in Harrisburg.
Mrs. Holland was a member of the First Church of God in Harrisburg, where she was a Sunday school teacher and youth leader for many years.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Pat) Raymer of Harrisburg; and a granddaughter, Debbie and her husband, Keith Culp of Nashville, Tenn.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Houston, Blake, Fonnie and Bailey Hendrix, and two sistsers, Dixie Hendrix and Eva Ziebig.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. George Reed will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Tom Pelt. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn in Harrisburg.
