Margaret Ferguson Gore, 85, 308 W. Posey Ave., Shawneetown died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at Fountain View Nursing Home in Eldorado.
Graveside services are 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Westwood cemetery in Shawneetown with the Rev. Julia Hazzard officiating. Vickery Funeral Chapel of Shawneetown is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to VNA Hospice of Eldorado or the Gallatin County Cancer Society.
Coneaous 'Connie' Henning
Coneaous "Connie" Henning, 47, of Flint, Mich., died Monday, May 8, 2000, at Lapeer Regional Medical Center, Lapeer, Mich. She was born Jan. 13, 1953, in Carrier Mills to the late Robert and Flenor (Hardin) Henning.
She is survived by three daughters, Konnie West, Kamonya West and Kamesha Muggins all of Flint; a grandson, NeKenji West and fiancee Sandford Henderson, both of Flint; four sisters Parasetta (Hari) Saladin of Harrisburg, Helen Hardin, Toni Henning and Ollie (Dewayne) Dorsey all of Flint, Mich.
Ms. Henning was preceded in death by her parents; a sister Vivian White; a brother, Robert L. Henning; and niece Mary A. Naphier.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Community Presbyterian Church at 2505 N. Chevrolet Ave., Flint, Mich. Cremation will follow the services. There will be no burial.

Eva Purcell
Mrs. Eva Purcell, 91, a resident of Fountainview Nursing Home in Eldorado, formerly of Equality, died at the nursing home at 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2000.
Mrs. Purcell was born Oct. 20, 1908, in Ridgway to the late John and Anna Minor Vickery.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Equality, Methodist Women's Society and the Equality Tuesday Club. She was was married
Dec. 21, 1925, to Kenneth Purcell and he preceded her in death May 10, 1981.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and LeRoy Barton of St. Charles, Mo.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Jack Purcell.
Graveside services will precede burial at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2000, in Elmwood cemetery at Equality. The Rev. Ron Johnson will officiate.
There will be no visitation at the Earl Jones Funeral Home in Equality.
Those attending should go directly to the cemetery.
Yutha Pauline Phelps
Mrs. Yutha Pauline Phelps, 81, a resident of Freeport Manor Nursing Home, died there Monday, May 8, 2000. She was formerly of Eldorado.
She was born Oct. 29, 1918, in Eldorado to the late Harvey and Bobbie Little.
On March 28, 1942, she married
James C. "J.C. " Phelps. He preceded her in death March 31, 1997. After the death of her husband, she moved to live with her daughter in Freeport. After developing health problems due to Alzheimer's, she became a resident at the nursing home.
She was a nember of Star General Baptist Church in Eldorado until her husband became the pastor of Oak Grove General Baptist Church in Eldorado, at which time they transferred their membership to Oak Grove.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and (Dan) Carter of Freeport and Vickie (John) Metten of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a son and daughter-in-law, James H. and (Sharon) Phelps of Spring Creek, Nev.; four grandchildren, Jackie Carter of Freeport, Jennifer Oliver of West Palm Bech, Fla, J.D. and Jeff Phelps of Spring Creek, Nev.; and five great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Bill (Alice Nelle) Hargraves of Eldorado; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mrs. Graham (Roma) Rudolph of Springfield and two brothers, James H. Little and Harrell Little of Eldorado.
Mrs. Phelps was an active member of the Ladies Aid Society of Star General Baptist Church for several years, as well as the Ladies Missionary Society. She taught in Vacation Bible School and sang in the church choirs as well as being a minister's wife. She loved to sew and was an avid quilter.
Funeral arrangements are being made through Burke Tubbs Funeral Home of Freeport and Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2000, at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be at Wolf Creek cemetery at Eldorado.
Gayle Lynn (Bradley) Sanders
A memorial service for the cremated remains of Gayle Lynn (Bradley) Sanders, 47, will be held at Mount Pleasant Social Brethren Church in Raleigh 11 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2000. Her uncle, the Rev. Ernest Bradley will officiate.
Mrs. Bradley died at her home in Seminole, Fla. on Tuesday, May 2, 2000.
Elizabeth Louise 'Betty' Questelle
Mrs. Elizabeth Louise "Betty" Questelle, 73, of Harrisburg, died at 11:45 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2000, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2000, at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Don Abell will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Lawn cemetery at Harrisburg.
Christian Wake Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
J.W. Alvey Jr.
J.W. Alvey Jr., 76, of 713 W. South St., Harrisburg, died at 11:15 p.m., Monday 8, 2000, at the home of his step-daughter, Mary Brimm.
He was a retired plumber, born in Harrisburg on Sept. 16, 1923, to the late John Wesley Alvey Sr. and the former Katherine Potter.
Mr. Alvey attended the Stonefort General Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, John and wife, Carolyn Alvey of Harrisburg; a daughter, Debra and her husband, Lee McMann of Camby, Ind.; a brother, Leonard and wife, Wynona; and a sister, Louise Barr of Peoria; nine step-children, Mary Lou Brimm, Louie Douglas, Doris McDowell, Peggy Hargrave, and Stanley Douglas, all of Harrisburg, Glendall Douglas of Bioloxi, Miss, Joann Vinyard of Rosiclare, Carolyn Collins of Marion, Ky., Dorris McDowell, Peggy Hargrove and Stanley Douglas, all of Harrisburg; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two wives, Erma Tarrant and Mary Douglas, a son, James Kenneth Alvey died on May 3 of this year, a daughter, Leanna Alvey in 1958, a sister, Opal Spangler, and a stepdaughter, Barbara Smith.
The body has been cremated. A graveside service will be announced later from J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
Marlene Hibbs
Mrs. Marlene Hibbs, 59, of Carrier Mills, died at 9:50 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2000, at her home.
She was born Jan. 6, 1941, in Harvard, to the late Claude and Eleanore (Weaver) Wallace.
On Feb. 18, 1983, she married
Lonnie Hibbs, who died in June of 1983.
Surviving are four daughters and a son, Mrs. Charles (Kimberly) Martin of Carrier Mills, Mrs. Billy (Tamela) McVay of Eldorado, Leonard Hutchison of Harrisburg, Susan Hutchison of Eldorado and Mrs. Scott (Lora) Wiseman of Carrier Mills; six grandchildren, C.J. Fitzpatrick, Kelsey McVay, Teresa Bennett, Scottie Wiseman, Justin Wiseman, and Zacheriah Hutchison.
Three brothers, five sisters and two grandchildren, Kasha Bennett and Mariah Bennett, preceded her in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg, where friends may call from 5 to 8 p .m. Saturday. The Rev. Don Ewell will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Gardens cemetery in Harrisburg.
John T. Jenkins
John T. Jenkins, 90, of Carrier Mills, died at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2000, at the Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.
He was born April 11, 1910, in Golconda, to the late Claude and Alice (Blue) Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins was a retired Delta Amax Coal Mines and was a member of the Carrier Mills United Methodist Church and a charter member of Carrier Mills Lions Club.
On April 8, 1933, he married
the former Thelma Roper and she survives along with a daughter, Carolyn Capel of Carrier Mills; two grandchildren, John C. Capel of Vienna and Mrs. Glenn (Amy) Murphy of Harrisburg; and three great-grandchildren, Arla Joe Capel, Nathan Murphy and Brynna Murphy. An infant son preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2000, at Absher-Nicholson in Carrier Mills, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Victor Long will officiate and burial will be in Salem cemetery at Carrier Mills.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Carrier Mills, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Carrier Mills United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
