Paul Wendell Cook, 77, died 4 p.m. Nov. 15, 2001, at Hardin County General Hospital.
Military services will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare with the Rev. Bud Hicks and the Rev. Harold Miller officiating. Burial will be in Central cemetery in Elizabethtown. Visitation is 6 to 9 p.m.

Marvin Randolph
Marvin Randolph, 92, of 208 W. Goodall St., Marion, died 5:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at the VA Medical Center Nursing Home in Marion.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Reed Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Harry Pete Reed officiating.
Burial will be in Spring Valley cemetery in Rudement. Visitation is 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 23, 1909, in Saline County to Otis Marion and Alice Mae (Clark) Randolph. On Sept. 21, 1991, he married
the former Mary A. Futrell, who survives.
He was a U.S. Navy retired chief machinist mate, and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Harrisburg American Legion George Hart Post No. 167 and a member of Rudement Social Brethren Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Daisy Mae Morris of Marion, Ruby Maynard of Waukegan, and a dear friend, Frances Sellers of Marion.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Thomas Randolph, and a sister, Hazel.
Nina Durfee McSparin
Nina Durfee McSparin, 84, Harrisburg, died 12:16 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at Huntingdon, Tenn.
Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Gaskins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove cemetery in Harrisburg with the Rev. Leroy Wallace officiating. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at the funeral home.
She was born Feb. 24, 1917, in Harrisburg to Howard and Della (Futrell) Headrick. She married
Kenneth Middleton on Oct. 12, 1935, who preceded her in death. She married
Jesse C. Durfee on June 29, 1946, who died March 3, 1979. She then married
Carlos McSparin on Nov. 24, 1983, who died Jan. 5, 1987.
She was a General Baptist by faith and a member of Eastern Star. She was a cook at Harrisburg Manor.
She is survived by a son, Cecil D. (Ann) Durfee, Huntingdon, Tenn.; three daughters, Violet (George) Ewell, Harrisburg, Shirley (Dan) Sherrod, Harrisburg, Wanda (Floyd) Rotramel, West Frankfort; two sisters, Myrtle Claflin, Carrier Mills, Wanda Woods, Okla.; five brothers, Loren Headrick, Carrier Mills, Sam Headrick, Texas, Tom Headrick, Cecil Headrick, and Wayne Headrick, all of Harrisburg; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
Nellie Emma Phipps
Nellie Emma Phipps, 91, of McLeansboro, died 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery near McLeansboro. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at the funeral home.
Hubert W. Stallings
Hubert W. Stallings, 88, of Ridgway, formerly of New Haven, died Nov. 18, 2001, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway with the Rev. Fred Stacey officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery in Cottonwood. Visitation is after 12 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. He is survived by a sister and many nieces and nephews.
David E. Porter
David E. Porter, 63, of Lexington, Ky., died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2001.
A memorial service was held 11 a.m. Oct. 26, 2001, at the Russel Cave Baptist Church in Lexington, Ky. Burial followed at Oaklawn cemetery in Huntington, W. Va., with the Rev. Rick Monk officiating.
He formerly lived in this area over 30 years. He was born in Broughton on Aug. 13, 1938, the son of the late Lolan and Bertha Porter. He graduated from Eldorado High School in 1957. He was a retired employee of Allied Signal with 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Russel Cave Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Ginger and daughter, Courtney, both of Lexington, Ky.; son, David R. of Petersburg; brother, Howard of Harrisburg; sister, Lola Ann; and brother-in-law, Otis Francis of Omaha.
Jimmy Lee Wilson
Jimmy Lee Wilson, 31, of rural Route 2, McLeansboro, died 11:10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at his residence.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Burial will be in the Hickory Hill cemetery near Broughton. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at the funeral home.
He was married
to the former Melissa Long, who survives.
He is survived by three daughters, a father-in-law, a mother-in-law, several nieces and nephews, two brothers, and a sister.

Bettie Joe Page, 75, of Belle Rive, died 9:35 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Oddfellows cemetery in McLeansboro. Harre Funeral Home of McLeansboro is in charge of the arrangements.
Philip Naas
Philip Naas, 76, of Battle Creek, Mich., died 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001, at his residence.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at St. Joseph Church in Battle Creek, Mich.
He was married
to Norma (Goodley) Naas for 54 years. He is survived by four sons, one daughter, 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers, and one sister.
Randall Gene Feazel
Randall Gene Feazel, 67, a resident of Fountain View Nursing Home in Eldorado died 4:10 p.m. Nov. 20, 2001. Randall previously resided with his brother Deon following a long illness and made his home in Harrisburg all his life.
Randall was one of eight children, was born Sept. 10, 1934 to Ralph and Geneta (James) Feazel. He married
Doris Jean (Stout) who preceded him in death in Sept. 1986.
He is survived by one son, Randy Gene Feazel, one stepdaughter, Vickie Robinson, both of Harrisburg; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; four brothers, Dean (Alice) Feazel, Eldorado, Fred (Carol) Feazel, Bill (Thelma) Feazel, Burtis (Ora Rae) Feazel, Harrisburg, three sisters, Barbara Sue (David) Anglin, Harrisburg, Judy (Don) Barrett and Rita Kay (Bill) French, Mich. He is also survived by special friends Norma Jean Pritchett, Debbie Abney and family, Don Pritchett and family, and Roger Pritchett and family.
Randall worked for New York Central and Council Railroad.
Visitation will be at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2001. Graveside services for those who care to attend will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Big Ridge cemetery with the Rev. Curt Yarbrough officiating.

Nina B. Tutaan, 82, of 8645 Hwy. 13 West, Carrier Mills, died 1:55 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at J.M. Weirauch Funeral Home with Fr. Don Abell officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn cemetery. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 24, 1918, in Harrisburg to the late Elvis and Fannie (Chancey) Gates. She married
Raymond Tutaan, who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a Catholic by faith.
She is survived by a three nephews, Glendall Douglas, Ocean Springs, Mass., Louie Douglas and Stanley Douglas, both of Harrisburg; five nieces, Mary Brimm, Carrier Mills, Carolyn Collins, Marion, Ky., Peggy Hargrave and Doris McDowell, both of Harrisburg, and Joann Vinyard, Rosiclare.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and one niece.
Paul D. Ferrell
Paul D. Ferrell, 64, of New Burnside, died 12:52 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Marion Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Meredith-Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Brother Tim Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Springhill cemetery, south of Crab Orchard. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2001, at the funeral home.
He was born Dec. 16, 1936, in Saline County to the late Guy and Opal (Swan) Ferrell. He married
the former Nelda Holmes on Sept. 18, 1957, and she survives.
He retired as a mechanic from Hales Automotive. He previously worked at Consol Burning Star No. 5 in De Soto and Fabick Machinery in Marion. He attended the New Burnside Community Church and was a member of the UMWA. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nena (John) Collins, Benton, Raetta (Greg) Goins, Goreville, son and daughter-in-law Jason and Joanna Ferrell, Marion; grandchildren Justin Ray Brown and Riane Nichole Collins; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Ruth Ferrell, Harrisburg, Jerry (Pat) Ferrell, Scott City, Mo., sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Jim Brasher, Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Wendell Ferrell, and an infant sister, Mary Ferrell.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Heather Harper-Treat Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
