Bert L. Rector
87-year-old Albion resident, Bert L. Rector died at 11:25 Thursday morning, Dec. 12, 2002 at his home. He was a retired oil and gas distributor.
Survivors include a son, Robert of Harrisburg; two daughters, Gilberta Gillard and Mary Leigh, both of Albion; a sister, Bertha Kleinschmidt of Fairfield; ten grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services for Bert L. Rector were at 10:30 Saturday at Nales Funeral Home in Albion with burial in Samaria Cemetery with full military rites.
Visitation was 9:30 until the time of service Saturday, Dec. 14, at Nales Funeral Home in Albion.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southeastern Illinois.
Darlene Hunsinger
58-year-old Rt. 1 Geff resident, Darlene Hunsinger died at 2:40 Thursday morning, Dec. 12, 2002 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She had been employed at Airtex.
Survivors include daughters, Elma Slover of Cisne, Patty Mason of Enfield, Samantha Payne of Bluford, and Darla Borah of Fairfield; sisters, Dottie Wilborn, Donna Gammon, and Sherry Rockett of Fairfield and Patsy Shelby of Oklahoma; brothers, Gene Rockett of Geff, Don Rockett and Terry Rockett of Fairfield. Five grandchildren also survive.
Services for Darlene Hunsinger were at 1:30 Sunday, Dec. 15 at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Visitation was from 6 til 8 Saturday evening, Dec. 14, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Martha Endsley
59-year-old Mount Carmel resident, Martha Endsley died at 8:01 Thursday morning, Dec. 12, 2002 at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Mount Carmel. She was a longtime member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Adrian, MIchigan.
Suvivors include two sons, John of Albion, and Ed of Groton, CT; two sisters, Mary Kimerer of Dalhart, Tx., and Margaret Miller of Adrian MIchigan; a brother, John Willett of Sand Creek MIchigan; and a grandson, Zacharia Endsley of Albion.
A memorial service for Martha Endsley was held at 6 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Albion.
Memorials may be made to the Carmi Children's Home.
Linda F. Porter
57-year-old Cisne resident, Linda F. Porter died at 9:10 Thursday morning, Dec. 12, 2002 at her home. She had worked at Roadmaster in Olney and was currently a student at Olney Central College.
Survivors include her husband, Robert, twin daughters, Janet Green and Jeanette Harlan of Lawrenceville; three sons, James Harlan of Lawrenceville, Dennis Harlan of Brownsburg, Ind., and Steven Harlan of Evansville; a sister, Carrie Peppmeier of Dubuque, Iowa; five brothers, Roy Loudermilk of Bridgeport, Jerry Loudermilk of Lawrenceville, Phillip Loudermilk of Vincennes, Wilmeer Loudermilk of Cedar Lake, In., and Sherman Loudermilk of Oaktown, Ind.; 11 grandchildren also survive.
Services for Linda F. Porter were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with burial in Cisne Cemetery.
Visitation was from 6 til 8 Saturday night, Dec. 14, at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.

Abbie Gholson
92-year-old McLeansboro resident, Abbie Gholson, died at 7:30 Wednesday morning, Dec. 11, 2002. She was co-founder of the Gholson Funeral Homes of Dahlgren and McLeansboro.
Survivors include a son, Jerome B. Gholson of McLeansboro; a daughther, Malinda Gholson Munsell of McLeansboro; three granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren.
Services for Abbie Gholson were at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro with entombment in the family mausoleum at the Oddfellows Cemetery at McLeansboro.

81-year-old Rt.1 McLeansboro resident, Arlena Evans died at 5:30 Tuesday evening, Dec. 10, 2002 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was retired from the RCA Corporation.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Ingram of McLeansboro, a granddaughter, Sherry Douthitt of McLeansboro, two great-grandchildren, Chris and Wendy Lowery and two great-great-grandchildren, Lauren Lowery and Aidan Nicholson, a sister, Virginia Pigg of Decatur, and a sister, Joanne Endicott of McLeansboro.

91-year-old Wayne City resident, Lorene Lappin died at 4:25 Wednesday morning, Dec. 11, 2002 at Mount Vernon Care Center. She had worked at the Wayne City Garment Factory.
Survivors include a son, Donnie of Wayne City, a daughter, Mary Lou Belmont of Wayne City, a sister-in-law, Vaneta Meyers of Wayne City, two grandchildren and four glreat-grandchildren.

Winston B. Montgomery
74-year-old Fairfield resident, Winston B. Montgomery died at 2:40 Wednesday morning, Dec. 11, 2002 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He was retired from Southern Wholesale Lumber as a salesman.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, two sons, Richard of Fairfield and Lee of Caseyville; a daughter, Robin Russell of Evansville, two grandchildren, a brother, Warren of Douglasville, Ga., and a sister, Mary Lynn of Tulsa, Ok.
Services for Winston B. Montgomery were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the First Baptist Church in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Visitation was from 5 til 8 Friday evening, Dec. 13, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield and one hour prior to the service at the First Baptist Church in Fairfield.
Glen D. Schmidt 69 year old Grayville resident, formerly of Henderson, Kentucky, Glen D. Schmidt, died Friday, October 8th, 2004 at Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville. He had been a truck driver.
Surviving are his wife Mary Ruth; a son, Jay of Birmingham, Alabama; a step-son, Alan Shorb of Carmi; 3 daughters, Sharon Gifford of Grand Rapids, MIchigan, Lori Graber of London, Ohio and Amy Schmidt of Winterhaven, Florida; 2 step-daughters, Bernice Hall of Danville, Indiana and Dava Shorb of Carbondale, Il.; a brother, Gerald of Lagrange, Indiana; a sister, Marjorie Loschky of Milford Center, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Glen D. Schmidt will be at 1 p.m. Monday, October 11th at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville. Mr. Schmidt's remains will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later time in Milford Center, Ohio.
Visitation from 10 a.m. Monday, October 11th until the time of service at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville.

95 year old West Salem resident, Laura Gray, died at 5:25 a.m. Saturday, October 9th, 2004 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem.
Martha Marie Rector
85 year old Albion resident, Martha Marie Rector, died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, October 3rd, 2004 at Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville.
Surviving are a sister, Margurite Bond of Calvin, Il. and 2 half-brothers, Byrom Ward of Calvin and Robert Ward of Grayville, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Martha Marie Rector were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 6th at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery south of Albion.
