Grace A. Kribs nee Braun, 90, of Red Bud, died July 3, 2006, in Red Bud. She was born March 8, 1916, in Renault, the daughter of the late Bernard and Mae Braun nee Robertson. She married the late William Kribs in 1942; he preceded her in death bin 1987. Mrs. Kribs is survived by her daughters Joan (Richard) Moran of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Pam (Kriete) Hollrah of St. Charles, Mo.; step-children Kenneth (Beulah) Kribs of Chester, Fr. Charles Kribs of Belleville, and Lewis Kribs of Batavia; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Gary Kribs and brother Vernon Braun. Mrs. Kribs was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher. She and her husband, William, were owners and operators of Kribs’ Store in Prairie du Rocher. She was an active member of the Ladies Card Club for more than 50 years. Visitation was at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud. A funeral mass was at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Prairie du Rocher, Fr. Albert Kreher officiating. She is buried at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Prairie du Rocher. Evelyn Marie “Lyn” Colyer nee Camp, 59, of Columbia, died July 3, 2006, in St. Louis. She was born Dec. 24, 1946, in East St. Louis, the daughter of Emily Camp of North Dupo and the late John Paul Camp Sr. Mrs. Colyer is survived by her mother; children James (Christy) Colyer of McClure, and Josh (Mary) Colyer of Columbia; grandchildren Jordan Lyn Colyer, Bailey Elizabeth Colyer, and a grandson due in October; siblings John Paul (Cheryl) Camp Jr., Barbara (Jackie) Camp, and Douglas Camp; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father. Mrs. Colyer was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbia and the IOTA chapter Alpha Delta Kappa. She was a teacher in Columbia and Festus, Mo. Visitation was at Dashner Funeral Home in Dupo. Funeral services were at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbia, Pastor Steven Thiess officiating. James “J.R.” Schaefer, 40, of Valmeyer, died July 6, 2006, in Valmeyer. He was born December 4, 1965, in St. Louis, the son of Ray and Kay Schaefer. He married Lisa Laurent in 2002. Mr. Schaefer is survived by his parents; wife; son Fredrick “Fritz” Schaefer of Valmeyer; sister Katherine (Mike) Siler; brothers Bill Schaefer and Sam (Liz) Schaefer; mother- and father-in-law Larry and Lola Laurent; sisters-in-law Lela (Scott Topp) Laurent, Linda Laurent, Loretta Laurent and Lois (Kevin) Gyore; nieces and nephews Anthony Siler, Jacob Gyore, Katy Gyore, John Schaefer and Ben Schaefer; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Eleanor and William Schaefer and Maxine and John Kurtz. Mr. Schaefer attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Valmeyer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Naval Reserves. He worked as a civil engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation. Visitation was at Lawlor Funeral Home. A funeral mass was at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Valmeyer. He is buried at Madonnaville Cemetery near Valmeyer. Emily D. Hayden nee Heizer, 90, of Red Bud, died July 6, 2006, in Red Bud. She was born October 10, 1915, in Prairie du Rocher, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Heizer nee Shea. She married Wendell “Slim” Fausz in 1934; he preceded her in death in 1972. She married Leo Hayden in 1978; he preceded her in death in 1996. Mrs. Hayden is survived by her daughters Marlene (Roger) Cowell of Red Bud and Nancy (Virgil) Niehaus of Shelbyville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers Louis Heizer of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Arnold (Helen) Heizer of Memphis, Tenn.; sisters Margaret Fadler of Prairie du Rocher, and Patricia (Cletus) Whelan of Columbia; and sisters-in-law Rosalie “Sally” Heizer of Sparta, Dorothy Heizer of Red Bud, and Marie Heizer of Prairie du Rocher. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and brothers Charles Heizer, Leo Heizer, Donald Heizer and Richard Heizer. Mrs. Hayden was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Red Bud and St. Ann’s Altar Sodality. She was a homemaker and an avid quilter who loved to grow roses. Lois A. Allgire nee Ruby, 89, of Waterloo, died July 6, 2006, in Red Bud. She was born August 16, 1916, in Harrisonville, the daughter of the late Oliver James and Esther Ruby nee Heidger. She was married to the late Arthur Allgire. Mrs. Allgire is survived by her daughters Linda (Lonnie) Goeddel of Waterloo, and Cynthia (Louis) Senerchia or Providence, R.I.; grandchildren Christine (Edward Doran, Scott Goeddel, Renee Grimm, John (Ruth) Grimm, Mark (Sue) Grimm, Mary (Robert) Buffone, Michael (Angela) Allgire, Kelly (William) Oxmann, Kristen (Michael) Kelley and Korin Allgire; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Michael J. Allgire Sr., daughters Beverly Grimm and Renee Allgire, granddaughters Jamie Michelle Allgire and Madalyn Kay Allgire; and siblings Gregory Ruby, Kathleen Vogt, Jerome Ruby and Mary Jane Eschmann. Leo J. Menke, 93, of Waterloo, died July 7, 2006, in Waterloo. He was born April 17, 1913, in Renault, the son of the late Georg and Elizabeth Menke nee Helenschmidt. He was married to the late Bertha L. Menke nee Frisch. Mr. Menke is survived by his daughter-in-law Ruth Ann Menke of Waterloo; granddaughter Lynn (Jeff) Lutman of Fults; great-grandsons Dustin Lutman and Bryan Lutman; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Norman L. Menke and a daughter in infancy. Mr. Menke was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo. Fay M. Slovinski nee Beasley, 89, of Columbia, died July 9, 2006, in Swansea. She was born January 23, 1917, in Baldwin, the daughter of the late James Clarence and Louisa Beasley nee Kohlenberger. She was married to the late Frank J. Slovinski. Mrs. Slovinski is survived by her granddaughter Virginia (Christopher) Pickus of Millstadt; daughter-in-law Darlene Slovinski of Millstadt; sister-in-law Verta Nicoletti of Columbia; nieces Shirley (Willie) Eckert of Columbia, and Jane (Richard) Sommer of Edwardsville; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Frank D. Slovinski and brother Earl Beasley. Mrs. Slovinski worked at the A & P Warehouse in Sauget as a packer, and she was a member of Columbia Senior Citizens. Visitation and funeral services were at Lawlor Funeral Home. Burton H. Harres Sr., 79, of Crystal River, Fla., died July 11, 2006, in Crystal River. He was born November 21, 1926, in New Hanover, the son of the late Richard J. and Edna R. Harres nee Fischer. Mr. Harres is survived by his son Burton H. Harres Jr., of Spring Hill, Fla.; brothers Arlen (Shirley) Harres of Columbia, and Allen (Judith) Harres of Columbia; grandchildren Michael Harres of Camp LeJeune, N.C., and David Harres of Spring Hill, Fla.; and seven nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Harres was a retired telegrapher / clerk for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the World War II era and he served in Korea. Myrna C. Wolf nee Harmon, 94, of Millstadt, formerly of East Carondelet, died July 10, 2006, in Belleville. She was born Nov. 10, 1911, in Ballwin, the daughter of the late Thomas and Dona Harmon nee Linders. She was married to Dr. Edgar G. Wolf, DDS. Mrs. Wolf is survived by her son Ed (Susan) Wolf Jr. of Millstadt; daughter Susan (Gary, DDS) London of Belleville; grandchildren Susan Louise Wolf, Cyrus Wolf, Christopher (Tonja) London, Quincy (Nicolee) London and Nicholas London; great-grandchildren Margaret London, Alexandria London, Victoria London, Nicolas London, Andrea London, Gary London, Katherine London and Kaela Creighton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandson Kyle London. Mrs. Wolf was a member of Christ United Church in Dupo. She was also a member of the Great St. Louis Garden Club and St. Clair County Garden Club. There were private visitation and funeral services. She is buried at Zion Bohnmier Cemetery in East Carondelet. Memorials may be made to Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo.
Wayne H. Seibert, 65, of Millstadt, died July 13, 2006, in Higginsville, Mo. He was born Jan. 6, 1941, in Waterloo, the son of the late Alfred Seibert and Luella E. Seibert Kurz nee Reichert. Mr. Seibert is survived by his children Lisa (Roger A.) Dietz of Fults, and Sheri (Brian) Casey of Waterloo; grandchildren Lauren Dietz, Jeremy Dietz, Allyssa Koerber, Megan Koerber and Gracelyn Casey; brother Marvin Seibert of California; sister Annette (France) Gruber of Waterloo; and half-brother Leon Kurz of Belleville. Private services were held.
