Clare E. Wetzler nee Schmidt, 70, of Columbia, died June 9, 2006, in Columbia. She was born Jan. 1, 1936, in Belleville, the daughter of the late George A. and Mathilda Schmidt nee Herrmann. Mrs. Wetzler is survived by her sons Kevin (Teri) Wetzler of Newburgh, Ind., Kent Wetzler of Waterloo, and Brian (Jeanette) Wetzler of Belleville; daughters Stacy (Jim) Matulis of Tampa, Fla., and Lora (Dale) Stoecklein of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; sister Rosalie Reis of Tampa, Fla.; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Wetzler was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia. She was a member of the Gibault Catholic High School Mother’s Club and Beta Phi Alpha Sorority. There was no visitation. A memorial mass was held at Immaculate Conception Church in Columbia, Fr. Helen A. Mueller nee Wilde, 90, of Columbia, died June 10, 2006, in Columbia. She was born Dec. 19, 1915, in Columbia, the daughter of the late Paul and Emma Wilde nee Washausen. She married the late Herbert A. Mueller in 1940. Mrs. Mueller is survived by her sons Lester Mueller of Thailand, Marvin (Elaine) Mueller of Columbia and Carlyle Mueller of Columbia; grandchildren Monica (Patrick) Spittler, Rhonda Mueller, Matthew (Pam) Mueller, Suzanne (James) Michelson and Mark Mueller; four great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother George Wilde and sister Margaret Mueller. Mrs. Mueller attended St. Paul United Church of Christ in Columbia. She and her husband were Columbia area farmers for their entire lives. Visitation was at Lawlor Funeral Home. Funeral services were at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pastor Bob Goddard officiating. She is buried at Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery in Columbia. Anton G. Roider, 89, of Waterloo, died June 10, 2006, in Waterloo. He was born Nov. 19, 1945, in Monroe County, the son of the late Peter and Mathilda Roider nee Yackle. He was married to the late Laura Roider nee Washausen. Mr. Roider is survived by his children Mary Ann (Gary) Bueltemann of Waterloo, Martin (Linda) Roider of Columbia, and Leland (Sheila) Roider of Waterloo; grandchildren David (Denise) Bueltemann, Kevin (Angie) Bueltemann, Angela (Robert) Luetkenhaus, Shelley (Shelby) Culpepper, Chris (Kerri) Roider, Stacey (Larry) Cawvey Jr., and Leland Roider II; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Herbert (Leota) Roider of Waterloo; brothers- and sisters-in-law Raymond and Bertha Washausen of Waterloo and Hilda Washausen of Waterloo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Virgil Raymond Roider, sister Luella Polacek, and brothers Alvin Roider, Clarence Roider and Harold Roider. Mr. Roider was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo and was married for 62 years. He was retired from Columbia Quarry. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. Charles D. Daniels, 67, of Farmington, Mo., died June 12, 2006, in St. Louis. He was born Dec. 29, 1938, in Biggers, Ark., the son of the late Charley B. and Gertrude Daniels nee Miller. He was married to Shirley E. Daniels nee Heusohn. Mr. Daniels is survived by his wife; children Debbie Reed, Jim Daniels, Keith Daniels, Mark Daniels; grandchildren Dawn, Little Charley, Lauren, Amanda and Eric; three great-grandchildren; sisters Helen Hall, Louise Lambert and Wilma Kallbrier; and sister-in-law, brothers-in-law nieces, nephews and cousins. Brad J. Inman, 42, of Columbia, died June 12, 2006, in Valousia County, Fla. He was born Sept. 24, 1963, in St. Louis, the son of Earl and Josephine Inman nee DaRonco of Columbia. Mr. Inman is survived by his parents; siblings Todd (Marian) Inman of Tulsa, Okla., Michele (David Brinkmeyer) Bottila of Arnold, Mo., Mark (Kathy) Inman of St. Louis, Bart (Julie) Inman of St. Louis, Jeff (Jeri) Inman of St. Louis, Dorise Beck of St. Louis, Cory (Gail) Inman of Valmeyer, Geralyn (Don) Kaufmann of Jasper, Ind., Craig (Tracey) Inman of Arnold, Mo., and Dana (Jeff) Yenzer of Affton, Mo.; grandfather Mario DaRonco of Iron Belt, Wisc.; 23 nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Mr. Inman was an insurance claims adjuster for hurricane relief. He was a devoted Christian and cared for others less fortunate. Visitation was at Lawlor Funeral Home. Christopher S. Hebel Jr., 17, of Waterloo, died June 19, 2006, in Waterloo. He was born May 22, 1989, in Belleville, the son of Chris and Cheryl Hebel. Mr. Hebel is survived by his parents; sisters Amber (Aaron) Dillard of Prairie du Rocher, and Tifani Hebel of Dupo; nieces and nephews Seth Dillard, Margeret Dillard and Chloey Hebel-Rosales; grandparents Florentine Hebel of Dupo, and Charles and Veranna Johnson of Waterloo; and aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert Hebel. Mr. Hebel was a member of Family Faith Christian Church. He was a senior at Waterloo High School. Donald J. Lolan, 68, of Red Bud, died June 20, 2006, in St. Louis. He was born October 15, 1937, in Winnfield, La., the son of the late Samuel J. and Katie Elaine Lolan nee Jemison. He married Mona McMath in 1960. Mr. Lolan is survived by his wife; son Jim (Cindy) Lolan of Red Bud; grandsons Brenden Lolan and Joshua Lolan; and sisters Joyce Hickey of St. Louis and Terry Ann (Michael) Mattalino of Houston, Tex. Mr. Lolan was a heave equipment sales representative for Midco Sales and Service in St. Louis for more than 30 years. He was a member of the North County Country Club in Red Bud. He was Catholic. Carl William Wallig, 75, of Waterloo, died June 20, 2006, in St. Louis. He was born Jan. 17, 1931, in Dubuque, Ia., the son of the late Edward and Myrtle Wallig nee Chandler. He was married to Alice Wallig nee Dodge. Mr. Wallig is survived by his wife; sons James (Barbara) Wallig of Cedar Rapids, Ia., and Bill (Cindy) Wallig of Cedar Rapids, Ia.; daughter Beth (Bill) Lynch of Wood River; sister Nancy (Bob) Schuckert of Dubuque, Ia.; brother Lyle (Peggy) Wallig of Delaware; and sons-in-law Chuck Woodard of Cedar Rapids, Ia., and Jim Myhlhousen of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Dennis Wallig, daughters Cindy Myhlhousen and Debbie Woodward, and brother Eddie Wallig. Mr. Wallig was a shoe company supervisor for a shoe company for 54 years. He served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the American Legion in Dubuque, Ia. Cornelia Dietz nee Kaufmann, 93, of Waterloo, died June 24, 2006, in Waterloo. She was born April 13, 1913, in Belleville, the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Kauffmann nee Schaedler. She was married to the late Carl C. Dietz. Mrs. Dietz is survived by her children Richard (Connie) LeTempf of Evansville, Roger (Rita) Dietz of Waterloo, and David (Marie) Dietz of Waterloo; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and special niece Carlene May. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter Betty Grahlherr. Mrs. Dietz worked at the Monroe County Care and Rehab Center for 20 years in the Activities Department. H. Daniel Kues, 82, of Fort Collins, Colo., formerly of Breese, died June 24, 2006. He was born October 17, 1923, in Aviston, the son of the late Clara (Daniel) and Otto Kues. He married Grace Niemeyer in 1947. Mr. Kues is survived by his wife; son Ken Kues; daughter Dawn (Dave) Kubicek; grandchildren Danielle and London; brothers Urban “Red” Kues of Breese and John (Doris) Kues of Lebanon; sisters Sylvia Ratermann of Aviston, Mary Jane Korte of Trenton, Dolores Lampe of Aviston, and Elizabeth (Ralph) Sphilmann of Columbia; and sister-in-law Mary Kues of St. Peters, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joe Kues and Ed Kues, and sisters Johanna VonHatten and Martha Baird. Mr. Kues was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the American Legion Post #252. He worked as a carpenter for 50 years and was a member of the Carpenters Local #480. He was a member of the fire department for 24 years, and was an avid bowler and horseshoe pitcher. Visitation and a funeral mass were at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese, Fr. Pat Peter officiating. He is buried at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese.
