Susie Davila nee Lozano, 74, of Columbia, died June 30, 2005. She was born February 5, 1931, in San Antonio, Tex., the daughter of the late Benito V. and Amada Lozano. She was married to the late Edward L. Davila; he preceded her in death in 1992. She is survived by her sons Anthony Hernandez of St. Louis and Dino (Vicki) Lozano of St. Louis; daughter Mandy (Michael) Dougherty of Columbia; grandson Joseph Edward Johnson of St. Louis; brother John (Angelina) Lozano of Pico Rivera, Calif.; sister-in-law Dora (Sheve) Villareall of San Antonio, Tex.; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and seven brothers and sisters. Mrs. Lozano attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia. Visitation was at Lawlor Funeral Home. Hilda C. Grab, 92, of Waterloo, died June 30, 2005, in Belleville. She was born February 16, 1913, in St. Louis County, the daughter of the late Andrew C. and Mary Grab nee Noll. She is survived by her nieces and nephews James (Lou Ann) Feurer, Darlene (Thomas) Sandheinrich, Clyde Hoepfinger, David (Francis) Grab, Larry (Susan) Grab, Dale (Linda) Hoepfinger, Pat (Jim) Ford, Beverly (Douglas) Nauman, Janet (Edward) Hoerner, Kenny (Ginny) Grab, Charles Grab and Christine Morski. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Elvera Hoepfinger and Agnes Feurer, and brothers Alvin Grab, Norman Grab, Sylvester Grab and Clarence Grab. Doris E. A. Ritzel nee Mueller, 64, of Waterloo, died May 1, 2005, in St. Louis. She was born December 21, 1941, in Waterloo, the daughter of the late Erwin W. and Luella Mueller nee Henke. She was married to Richard A. Ritzel. She is survived by her husband; children Allan Ritzel of Waterloo, Jeff (Nancy) Ritzel of Waterloo and Jason Ritzel of Waterloo; grandchildren Amber, Megan, Cody and Tanner; sisters LaVerne (Dale) Schutt of Waterloo and Linda Hard of St. Louis; brother Paul R. (Kathy) Mueller of Texarkana, Tex.,; aunt Luella Mueller of Columbia; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Martin E. Doyle, 83, of rural Waterloo, died May 1, 1005, in Belleville. He was born May 1, 1922, in Monroe County, to Ambrose J. and Irene E. Doyle nee Kelley. He was married to Dardanella Doyle nee Scheibler. He is survived by his wife; daughters Judy (David) Rudwick of Belfontaine Neighbors, Mo., and Mary Ann (Roy) Brand of Maeystown; grandchildren Michelle Crawford, Klaudia Davis, Terry Helmers, Jacob Brand, Jessica Brown, Juliet Brand and Johanna Brand; six great-grandchildren; sister Bernice (Bill) Winkelmann of Steeleville; brother Donald (Marcellia) Doyle of Granite City; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Patrick R. Doyle, and sisters Dorothy Dougherty and Delores Roberts. Mr. Doyle was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was a retired farmer and road commissioner. He was also a member of the American Thresherman Association, Peters Town Heritage, and Monroe County Democratic Club. Ruth C. Foster nee Ashton, 92, of Waterloo, died May 3, 2005, in Waterloo. She was born December 31, 1912, in Paragould, Ark., the daughter of the late Clarence and Winnie Ashton nee McCullough. She was married to the late Roy Foster. She is survived by her son Lee (Sue) Foster of Waterloo; step-son John Foster; grandchildren; sister Pat Tyner of Arkansas; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Mrs. Foster was a member of First Baptist Church in Waterloo. Visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. Wilbert G. Macklin, 84, of Columbia, died May 7, 2005, in St. Louis. He was born June 15, 1920, in St. Louis, the son of the late Jacob and Myra Macklin nee Messer. Bernice V. Zeiger nee Hergenroeder, 85, of Prairie du Rocher, died May 17, 2005, in St. Louis. She was born April 3, 1920, in East St. Louis, to the late Emil and Elsie Hergenroeder nee Agnew. She was married to the late Herman Zeiger. She is survived by her children James (Mary Ellen) Zeiger of Prairie du Rocher, Ruth Ann (Bill) Gallagher of Adrian, Mich., Richard (Joyce) Zeiger of Prairie du Rocher, and Mary Ellen Steibel of Prairie du Rocher; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister-in-law Rosemary Hergenroeder of Waterloo and Roy Stoeckel of Columbia; and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son William Zeiger, son-in-law Joe Steibel, granddaughter Kimberly Kirkley, sister Blanche Hergenroeder, and brothers Leroy Hergenroeder and Woodrow Hergenroeder.
