52 year old Grayville resident, Patricia Lee Flanigan Smith, died Friday, June 4th, 2004 at her home following a long battle with cancer. She had worked for several years as a legal secretary at Jay Walden Law Office in Grayville
.
Surviving are her husband Greg; her father, Leroy Flanigan; a daughter, Krista Neff; a brother, Mike Flanigan; and a sister, Charlotte Huffine all of Evansville.
Patricia Flanigan Smith's remains were cremated. A gathering of family and friends was held Monday, June 7th from 2-4 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville.
Louis O. Jones
75 year old McLeansboro resident, Louis O. Jones, died at 12:50 p.m. Saturday, May 29th, 2004 at the Enfield Healthcare Nursing Center. He had owned and operated Jones Marathon in Norris City, and managed several other service stations in Norris City. He also worked as a mechanic.
Surviving are his wife Joyce; 2 sons, Brad of McLeansboro and Steven of Montgomery, Indiana; a brother, Ivan Jones of Ridgway; 5 sisters, Wanda Greer of Marion, Opal Hackerson of Evansville, Maruvanne Boster of Holbrook, Pennsylvania, Novella Healy of Carmi and Teddy Lacefield of St. Louis; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 1st at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Burial in Powell Cemetery at Norris City.
Visitation was from 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 1st until the time of service at the Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.

94 year old Mill Shoals resident, Mary Frances Venters, died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, May 29th, 2004 at her home. She had been a cook for the Mill Shoals Grade School and she and her husband had owned and operated the DX Service Station in Mill Shoals for many years.
Survivores include two sons, Leroy Venters of Ridgway, Il., and Bill Venters of Mill Shoals, Il., three daughters, Mary Dagley of Buckhannon, West Virginia, Jean Taylor and Ann Sarks of Mill Shoals; three sisters, Julia Mayhue of Casper, Wyoming, Martha Haering of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Earline Silverheels of Fairfield.; 12 grandchildren, 1 foster-grandchild, 2 step-grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren, 7 foster great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, 7 step-great-greeat-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Rose Hiley and Betty Compton of Fairfield; two brothers-in-law, Dude Venters of Owasson, Oklahoma, and Richard Haering of Indianapolis, Indiana.

93-year-old Wayne City resident, Irma Richardson died at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2004 at the Cisne Health care Center. She was a retired nurse at St. Louis Children's Hospital.

Surviving are his wife June; his parents, Gary and Opal Hall of West Salem; 2 daughters, Jordan Opal and April May both of Olney; a sister, Julie Reid of Lincoln, Il.; a niece, Kara Reid and a nephew, Nathaniel Reid both of Lincoln, Il.; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
