64-year-old Equality, Ill. resident, Nancy P. Welch died at3 ap.m. Tuesday morning, May 25, 2004 at the home of her mother in Equality.
Survivors includel her mother, Almedia Sneethen of Equality; two sons, David Welch of Warren, Oregon and Michael Welch of Cleveland, Texas; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services for Nancy P. Welch were at 11 a.m. Friday, May 28, at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Koontz Cemetery near Fairfield.
Visitation was from 9:30 Friday morning until the time of service at the Johnson Funeral Home in Fairfield.

66-year-old Rt. 3 McLeansboro resident, Shirley Kay Ayers died at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2004 at her home.
Survivors include sons, Johnny Williams of McLeasnboro and Randall Williams of McLeansboro; a daughter, Kathy Knight of Walterboro, South Carolina; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Ruby (Vaughan) Skipworth
91-year-old former Fairfield resident, Ruby (Vaughan) Skipworth of Mesa, Az. died on Monday, May 24, 2004 at the Eden Care Center in Mesa. She was the widow of Hilman Vaughan of Fairfield.
Survivors include a brother-in-law Tom Skipworth of Mesa, Az.
Graveside services for Ruby (Vaughan) Skipworth were at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 27 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
There was no visitation.

98-year-old Fairfield resident, Dora Merritt died at 11:58 Sunday evening, May 23, 2004 at Wayfair in Fairfield.
Survivors include sons, James and Darrell of Fairfield, Gene of Carmi, Kenneth of Denver Colorado, and Farrell of Manhattan, Ks.; two daughters, Fannie Duvall and Delta Ewing of Fairfield; a sister, Pearl Maurschdant of Flora; 21 grandchildren, 25 great-granbdchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

85-year-old Flora resident, Mary E. Hardy died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20th, 2004 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
Survivors include a son, Tom Hardy of Louisville, IL; a sister, Alice Huffman of Flora; two grandchildren, Stacey Burkett of Louisville, IL and Dustin Hardy of Flora, two great grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services for Mary E. Hardy were at 11 a.m. Friday, at the Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12 at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.

Herman Talbert
84-year-old former Wayne City resident, Herman Talbert of Silver Springs, Nevadadied at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, August 7th, 2004 at his home in Silver Springs.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Talbert of Florida and Cary Talbert of Arizona; three daughters, Alice of Peoria, Robin of Virginia and Yvonne Durr of Silver Springs, NV; one brother, Ted Talbert of Wayne City and several grand and great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Herman Talbert will be held at a later date in Peoria, IL.

89 year old Dahlgren resident, Mrs. Audrey Webber, died at 8:50 a.m. Sunday, August 8th, 2004 in the Nature Trail Care Center in Mt. Vernon, Il. She was a retired cook, having worked at Wilkey Cafe in Belle Rive several years.
Survivors include sons Arthur Webber of Dahlgren, Ronald Webber of Mount Vernon, William B. Webber of Dahlgren; daughters, Marilyn Smith of Woodtock, Ga., Wilma Cross of Dahlgren, and Nancy Herzing of Woodlawn; a brother, Jimmy Cook of Mount Vernon, Indiana; 13 grandchildlren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Lela Mae Newton of McLensboro; a grandson, Robert McCullough of Peoria; two granddaughters, Linda Edwards of Mt. Vernon and Kristie Speicher of Washington, Il.; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Juanita "June" Gaede
79-year-old former West Salem resident, Juanita "June" Gaede of Argenta, Ill. died Sunday, August 1, 2004 at Fairhavens Christian Home in Decatur, Ill. She had been a clerk at Gerhart Food Store in Oreana, Ill. for 14 years.
Survivors include her husband, Howard of Argenta, Il., a son, Rick Gaede of Oreana; a brother, Herschel Giese of West Salem; two grandchildren Chris Gaede of Forsyth, Il., and Tisha Zavala of Wilton, Iowa; and one great-grandchild, Cecilia Zavala.
Graveside services for Juanita "June" Gaede were at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 7, at the Moravian Cemetery. Family and friends went directly to the cemetery.
There was no visitation.
