Tucker Search, 46, of Chester, died Oct. 26, 2011 at Memorial Hospital in Chester. He had been coma since suffering an accident this past summer. Visitation is Saturday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester. A funeral will immediately follow with Rev. Peter Ill officiating. He is the brother of Toby Search of Columbia.
Roy G. Wolfmeier, 86 of Millstadt, died Oct. 27, 2011 in South St. Louis County, Mo. He was born Oct. 18, 1925 in Columbia, the son of the late George and Elizabeth (nee Washausen) Wolfmeier. Mr. Wolfmeier is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy (nee Mehrtens) Wolfmeier, whom he married in 1948; sons, Robert (Marge) Wolfmeier and Ronald (Regina) Wolfmeier, both of Millstadt; a daughter, Marlene (David) Dow of Columbus, Ind.; grandchildren Reshell (Bobby) Schmidt, Rebecca (Matt) Schmidt, Eric (Beth) Wolfmeier, Robbie Wolfmeier, Patrick Dow, Jill Wolfmeier, Andy Dow and Matthew Dow; and great-grandchildren Jackson Schmidt, Jacob Schmidt, Andrea Vilchez and Claudia Vilchez. He was preceded in death by his sisters Viola Wolfmeier and Esther Mergelkamp. Mr. Wolfmeier was a veteran of the United States Army who had owned Roy Wolfmeier Truck Service for 60 years. Mr. Wolfmeier attended Zion Evangelical Church and was a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Columbia Masonic Lodge 474 A.F. and A.M., Belleville High Twelve, Ainad Temple, Millstadt Commercial Club, Midwest Truckers, Millstadt Sister Cities and the St. Louis Metro Polka Club. Visitation is Sunday, Oct. 30, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Zion Evangelical Church. Funeral is Monday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m., at his church with Rev. Darrell Weber officiating. Mr. Wolfmeier will be buried with full military honors at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt. Memorials may be made to Unity Hospice, Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt or the Shriner’s Hospital For Crippled Children.
Gilbert L. Geringer, 76, of Panama City Beach, Fla., died July 6, 2004, at his home. Mr. Geringer was married to Joyce L. Geringer. He is survived by his wife; children Scott (Shannon) Geringer, Gil (Rose) Geringer, Debbie (Joe) Shaffman, Deborah (Jimmy) Baugh, Parry (Mark) McNally; brothers Wayne Geringer, Richard Geringer, Mike (Carol) Geringer; sister Crilda; step-sons Larry (Carol) Dornin, Gary (Donna) Dornin, Jimmy (Joyce) Miller; uncle Everett (Josie) Roberts; 20 grandchildren; and 16 grandchildren. Mr. Geringer was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Belleville Lodge #504 F&AM. He enjoyed attending church and Sunday school every Sunday, riding his bicycle four times a week; playing pool; and eating breakfast each morning with his friends. Visitation was at Woodlawn United Methodist Church. A graveside funeral service was held at Valhalla Garden of Memory in Belleville, officiated by Rev. Bill Broenert. Virginia E. McCreary nee DeMond, 79, of Belleville, died July 6, 2004, at Waterloo. Mrs. McCreary was married to the late Ewel K. McCreary; he preceded her in death by four days. She was born August 4, 1924, at St. Elmo, the daughter of the late Marion and Nellie DeMond nee Mathies. She is survived by her children Naomi (James) Hoskins, Kirby (Ann) McCreary, Garry (Yvonne) McCreary and Larry McCreary; 15 grandchildren, daughter-in-law Cindy Miller; sisters Dorothy Weidlocher and Harold DeMond; brothers Harold DeMond and Charles DeMond; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, two sisters, and sons Warren DeMond and Henry McCreary. Mrs. McCreary was a member of Jehovah’s Witness congregation in Waterloo. Her memorial service was at Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses in Waterloo. She is buried at Jefferson Barrack’s National Cemetery in St. Louis.
Michael Bernel Bise, newborn son of Brian and Christine Bise nee Glessner, of Waterloo, died July 4, 2004. He is survived by his parents; grandparents Michael and Wanda Glessner and Phyllis Bise, all of Waterloo; great-grandparents Lucille Glessner, of Waterloo, and Frank Drummond, of Springfield; and aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Bernel Bise; great-grandparents Robert Glessner, Jessie Drummond, Lester and Goldia Schenks and Lee and Goldie Bise. A private graveside service was held July 9, 2004, at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Waterloo, Msgr. Thomas Flach officiating. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Ricky L. Porter, 48, of Red Bud, died July 4, 2004, at Red Bud. He was born August 27, 1955, the son of the late Clinton and Lillian Porter nee Schmidt. He is survived by siblings Clinton Allen (Theresa) Porter, Nancy (Tim) Brown, Terry (Susan) Porter, Brenda (Robert) Cheek, Peggy Porter, Scott Porter, Jeffrey Porter, Steven Porter, Michael (Tina) Porter, Mark (Linda) Porter and JoAnn Myers; half-sisters Kathy, Shelly and Sharon and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. A graveside service was held at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo, officiated by Pastor Will Hesterberg.
Bruce A. Yarbrough, 47, of Waterloo, died July 4, 2004, in Red Bud. He was born September 17, 1956, in Red Bud, the son of Charles and Imogene Yarbrough. He is survived by his parents; daughter Sarah Ann Yarbrough; brother Craig (Nancy) Yarbrough, of Waterloo; and aunts, uncles and cousins. His visitation and funeral were held at Quernheim Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Sarah Ann Yarbrough Education Fund.
Laverta Hoffmann nee Washausen, 87, of Waterloo, died July 3, 2004, at St. Louis. Mrs. Hoffmann was married to the late Karl W. Hoffmann. She was born March 22, 1917, the daughter of the late Fred and Anna Washausen nee Wessel. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn Reichert; grandson Scott Reichert; sister-in-law Ruth Washausen; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law Robert L. Reichert, and brother Roy Washausen. Mrs. Hoffmann was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Waterloo. Her visitation was at Quernheim Funeral Home. A funeral was at St. Paul United Church of Christ, officiated by Pastor Kevin Brown. She is buried at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo.
Ewel K. McCreary, 85, of Belleville, died July 2, 2004, at Red Bud. Mr. McCreary was married to Virginia E. McCreary; she died four days after her husband. He was born August 4, 1918, at Farmington, Mo., the son of the late Finis and Ruth McCreary nee Guthrie. He is survived by his children Naomi (James) Hoskins, Kirby (Ann) McCreary, Garry (Yvonne) McCreary and Larry McCreary; daughter-in-law Cindy McCreary; 15 grandchildren; sisters Marguerite Lupo and Rhonda Smith; brother James Faulkner; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Warren DeMond and Henry McCreary, one sister and one brother. Mr. McCreary was a member of Jehovah’s Witness congregation in Sparta. His memorial service was at Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness in Waterloo. He is buried at Jefferson Barrack’s National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Norma Mae Levin nee Brown, 61, of Waterloo, died June 19, 2004, at Red Bud Regional Hospital. She was born March 29, 1943, at East Carondelet, the daughter of the late Elmer and Helen Brown nee McGinnis. Mrs. Levin married John Levin in 1960; he survives her. She is also survived by her sons Randy Levin, Scott (Lisa) Levin and Todd (Betty Graves) Levin; sisters Juanita Tilton and Wanda (Junior) Koonce; brother Marvin (Carolyn) Brown; grandchildren Clayton Levin and Zailey Dawn Levin; and sister-in-law Trudy Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Ed Miller and brother Herbert Brown. Mrs. Levin was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Millstadt. Her visitation was at Lawlor Funeral Home. Her funeral was at Trinity Lutheran Church in Millstadt. She is buried at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Millstadt. Memorials may be made to the World Wildlife Fund or the American Heart Association.
