Lena C. Boys, 91, died Monday (March 26, 2001) in Janesville, Wis..
Graveside services will be Friday, April 6, at 4:30 p.m. in Glenwood Cemetery, Section A. Deacon Ed Schaper, a cousin, will officiate at the service. Services were previously held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Beloit, Wis. on Saturday, March 31. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to HospiceCare Inc., 3001 West Memorial Drive, Janesville, WI 53545, to a Hospice of choice or to Catholic Relief Services.
She was born in Nokomis on Oct. 22, 1909 to Rose and Guy Cattinari. She married Lester Boys and lived in Shelbyville many years where they raised their two sons. In 1981 she moved to Wisconsin to be closer to her family.
Mrs. Boys is survived by her son and his wife, Gene and Jan Boys of North Fort Myers, FL; three grandsons and their wives, Daron and Kaarin of Nashville, Greg and Priya of Houston; Neal and Becky of Janesville, Wisconsin; and one great-granddaughter, Brianna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester; parents, son Ronnie; brother, Jim Cattinarl; and sister Josephine Nardi.
Alice Boys
Shelbyville
Alice Marie Boys, 85, of Shelbyville, died at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday (April 4, 2001) in the Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lockart & Sons Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Robinson Creek Cemetery near Shelbyville. Memorials can be made to Pathways to Independence or Alzheimer's Association.
She was born July 9, 1915 in Shelby County, the daughter of Jesse and Flo Martin Skiff. She married Winston Boys who preceded her in death in 1951.
Surviving are sons, Dean Boys, James "Lyle" Boys and Don Boys all of Shelbyville, William "Bill" Boys of Decatur; daughters, Louise Dilley and Barbara Boys both of Shelbyville; sisters, Rose Easter of Terre Haute and Doris Thomas of Staunton; six Grandchildren; and three Great Grandchildren.
One Granddaughter and two sisters have preceded her in death.
She was retired from the Shelby Memorial Home. She enjoyed nothing more than to have all her family around her to cook for. She will be greatly missed.

Walter Von Behren, 89, of Nixa, MO., formerly of Strasburg, custodian for University of Illinois, died Saturday (March 31, 2001).
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Strasburg. Arrangements are by Brummerstedt Funeral Home, Stewardson. Memorial can be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Strasburg.
Rosemary Woolfe

Rosemary Clara Woolfe, 70, of Shelbyville, died at 4:40 a.m. Friday (April 20, 2001) in the Olivewood Health Care Center in Shelbyville.
There will be no services. Arrangements are by Lockart and Sons Funeral Home in Shelbyville.
She was born July 22, 1930 in Decatur, the daughter of Ezekial an Verma Lancaster Woolfe.
Surviving are two sisters, Virginia Plain of Decatur and Ruby Maxhimer of Lindstrom, MN; nieces; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James Arthur Woolfe and Donald Wesley Woolfe.
She was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.
Mariam Wooters
Assumption
Mariam Simcox Wooters, 88, Assumption, died 6:25 a.m. Friday (April 20, 2001) in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur.
Services were 2 p.m. Sunday in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption with visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption. Memorials can be made to the Shriners Home for Children or Moweaqua Ambulance EMT's.
She was born in Assumption Nov. 11, 1912, the daughter of C.G. and Lena Moore Simcox. She married Lawrence "Jack" Wooters in Assumption on Dec. 21, 1934.
Surviving are son, C. Frank Wooters of Vienna, WV.; daughter-in-law, Sharon Wooters of St. Mary's, Ga.; sister, Shirley and husband Rex Parkinson of Decatur; several nieces and nephews and their families; and many cousins.
Mrs. Wooters was preceded in death by parents; husband; son, Richard; one grandson; and three sisters.
She was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church. She attended Illinois State University in Normal. She retired a school teacher and was a 50 year member and past worthy matron of Tacusah Chapter of OES in Assumption. She was also a member of Decatur Genealogical Society.

Lola R. Chappelear, 91, of Effingham, formerly of Stewardson, died 12:02 a.m., Monday (April 23, 2001) in Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation in Effingham.

Walter Washburn

Walter Washburn, III, 69, of Tower Hill, died Friday (April 20, 2001) at rural Shelbyville.
Mr. Wasburn's wishes were to be cremated. There will be no services.
He was born Jan. 10, 1932 in Rahway, NJ., the son of Walter and Henrietta Washburn, Jr., deceased. He married Doris J. Logdon on July 12, 1958 in Rahway. She died Feb. 4, 2000.
Surviving are daughters, Deborah Calantoni and husband Raymond of Shelbyville, Darleen Krawiec and husband Richard of Dacula, Ga.; grandchildren, Daniel Calantoni, Richie Krawiec, Christopher Krawiec; sisters, Audrey Sheppard and husband Fred of Toms River, NJ., Betty Nolan and husband Tom of Seaford, Del.; and great-grandchildren.
He came to Tower Hill after retirement in 1990. He graduated Rahway High School Class of 1950 and was in U. S. Navy during the Korean War.
William Herbord

William "Bill" Herbord, 73, of Pana, died at 2:56 a.m., Sunday (April 22, 2001) in Pana Community Hospital.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday April 25, 2001 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Bapts of First Baptist Church of Nokomis officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, Pana. Memorials can be made to donor's choice.
He was born Nov. 25, 1927 in Pana, the son of Henry and Blanche Maton Herbord, deceased. He married Marcella D. Leduc of Aug. 16, 1947 in Taylorville. She survives.
Also surviving are Ken Herbord and wife Sandy of Pana, William F. Herbord of Pana, Brenda L. Huddleston and husband Larry of Nokomis; grandchildren, Todd Herbord, Ryan Herbord, Brittany Herbord, Brooke Herbord all of Pana; Butch Huddleston of Nokomis; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Phillip, Henry, and Herman.
Mr. Herbord lived his entire life in the Pana area. He retired after 38 years at Farmland Co-op, Mid Illinois, and Assumption Co-op Grain Company at the Pana Elevators. He was a 53 year member of Pana Moose Lodge where he was past governor and past member of Pana Elks Lodge.
