Norma L. "Pat" Kronshagen, 74, Pana, died Sunday (June 24, 2001).
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, Pana. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial is in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Memorials can be made to the Pana Community Hospital Foundation or Carnegie-Schuyler Library.
She was born Aug. 30, 1926 in Pana, the daughter of John "Jack" and Ethel Jeffries Finefrock, deceased. She married Art Kronshagen on Nov. 19, 1945 in Pana.
Surviving are husband, Art; sister, June Benefield of Sacramento, Cal.; and niece, Kristina Benefield of Sacramento.
She was preceded by her parents and three brothers.
She graduated Pana High School and lived her entire life in the Pana area. She was an office manager for Illinois Consolidated Telephone Company, retired for 15 years.

Edith Smith
Windsor
Edith E. Smith, 98, of Windsor died at 6:20 a.m. Monday (June 25, 2001) in the Sullivan Health Care Center, Sullivan.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 28 in the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with the Rev Richard Eident officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time on Thursday. Burial will be in the Windsor Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Windsor Christian Church.
She was born Dec. 1, 1902 in Whitley Township, Moultrie County, the daughter of William A. and Disa Gaddis Bence. She married Cecil 0. Smith July 10, 1927 in Windsor. He preceded her in death in 1955.
Surviving are cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by one sister Nettie Stoddard.
She was a member of the Windsor Christian Church and the Kum Join Us Sunday School Class. She worked as a retail clerk for twenty-five years at Lesters Ready to Wear in Mattoon.

Donald McCart
Pana
Donald Eugene McCart, 81, Pana, died Sunday (June 24, 2001).
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, McCracken-Dean Funeral, Pana. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Ramsey, with military rites. Memorials can be made to Loaves & Fishes or Twin Pines Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 12, 1919 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Milton "Mac" and Rella Haverstock McCart, deceased.
Surviving are three children; and three sisters, Maxine Gibson of Pana, Beulah Cox of Pana, and Genelle Black of Tower Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a self employed painter and a W.W. II veteran. He was a member of the Pana Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4431.

Mary Jameson
Moweaqua
Mary L. Jameson, 82, Moweaqua, died Sunday (June 24, 2001).
No services. Arrangements by Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.

Marjorie Witt
Shelbyville
Marjorie E. Witt, 69, of Shelbyville died 5:15 a.m. Wednesday (July 4, 2001) in Shelbyville Manor.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, with the Rev David McHenry officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Memorials can be made to Quad County Hospice, 1 Huber St., Pana, IL 62557, or Cornerstone Community Fellowship, Shelbyville.
Mrs. Witt was born Jan. 10, 1932, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Walter Roy and Jessie Beatrice Bryson West. She married Robert Gale Witt Dec. 24, 1950, in Shelbyville. He preceded her in death Sept. 30, 1989.
Surviving are daughters, Julie Anderson and husband Patrick of Clinton; Sheri Jeffers of Shelbyville; Lea Howard and husband Jeff of Champaign; brothers, Forrest West and wife Hazel, August West, Bill West and Kenneth West, all of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Jeramy and Jared Anderson; Dan Tallman; Robbie Jeffers; Ender and Isabella Howard; great-grandchildren, Brentyn, Brady, Katie and Becca Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Carl West; and sisters, Opal Reed, Donna West and Bonnie Stephens.
She worked in purchasing and later the billing department of Shelby Memorial Hospital before retiring. She was a 1949 graduate of Shelbyville High School and was a member of Cornerstone Community Fellowship in Shelbyville.

Raymond Sandusky
Moweaqua
Raymond Carroll Sandusky, 86, of Moweaqua died 1 p.m. Tuesday (July 3, 2001) in Fair Havens Christian Home.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Bilyeu Cemetery, Moweaqua, with military rites by Moweaqua American Union Post 370.
Mr. Sandusky was born May 17, 1915, in Benton, the son of Andrew and Mollie French Sandusky. He married Helen Summers Feb. 25, 1949.
Surviving are his wife daughters, Roberta and husband Paul Grimes of Moweaqua; Molly Weber of Decatur, granddaughters, Jen Grimes of Springfield; Paula Grimes of Carbondale; Kimberly Brummett of Rantoul; Amy Blunt of Decatur; great-granddaughters, Kayleigh Brummett and Katharyn Brummett, both of Rantoul.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister, two half brothers and one half sister.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was affiliated with Moweaqua Christian Church. He was retired from Caterpillar Inc. and belonged to the Caterpillar Retirees Club.

Lillian Donaldson
formerly of Beecher City
Lillian Donaldson, 78, of Tavares, FL, formerly of Beecher City, died at 4:10 a.m. Wednesday (July 4, 2001) at the home of her son at Auburn, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7 in Lockart and Sons Funeral Home in Beecher City. The Rev. Mario S. Mayer will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Burial will be in Moccasin Cemetery near Beecher City. Memorials can be made to the United Methodist Church of Beecher City.
Mrs. Donaldson was born April 18, 1923 in Effingham Co. near Moccasin, IL the daughter of Glenn and Edna Tipsword Flowers. She was raised by Lillian Tipsword.
She married Vern E. Donaldson July 28, 1940 in St. Charles, MO. He died Mar. 27, 1992.
Surviving are sons, Glen Donaldson of Beecher City, Darrell Donaldson and wife Donna of Auburn, IL and Randolph Donaldson of Beecher City; sister, Sharon Beals of Effingham, IL; brother, Dwight Flowers of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and Lillian Tipsword.
She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge of Beecher City, White Shrine of Effingham and the VFW Auxiliary of Altamont, IL. She was affiliated with the United Methodist Church of Beecher City. She attended business college in Indianapolis, IN.

Joan Rowley
Pana
Joan J. Rowley, 66, of Pana, passed away at her residence to rest eternally in peace and without pain, on July 4, 2001.
Joan was born on May 13, 1935 to Andrew J. and Marie Thomas. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles "Chuck' Rowley on Oct. 19, 1954. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2000.
Joan was a homemaker and home health care provider. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 4431 of Pana.
Survivors include daughters, Deborah Huddleston of Decatur, Patricia Shipman and husband Frank of Suisun City, CA; son, Steven Rowley of Sonoma, CA.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Huddleston and Christopher Huddleston of Decatur; son, Steven Rowley Whiteman and Danielle Myers Rowley of Sonoma, CA. Special nieces, Shawn Welburn and Mary Burch and nephew J.D. Burch of Pana; and several other nieces and nephews.
McCracken-Dean funeral home is in charge of cremation arrangements. There will be no visitation or service.

Robert Sanner
Bethany
Robert L. Sanner Jr., 85, of Bethany, died at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday (July 4, 2001) in the St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the McMullin Young Funeral Home, Bethany, with the Rev. Charles Witte officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be in the Marrowbone Township cemetery, Bethany. Memorials can be made to the Christian Church, Bethany or the Historical Society of Shelby County.
Mr. Sanner was born on Oct. 21, 1915, in Shelby County, the son of Robert L. and Jennie B. Shipman Sanner, Sr. He married Faye Marie Elliott on April 1, 1950, Bethany. She survives.
Also surviving is a daughter; Kay Ann Jones and husband William L, of Slidell, LA., grandchildren; Margaret Ann & Daniel William Jones of Slidell, LA., brothers; Daniel D. Sanner & Austin R. Sanner of Bethany, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by sister; Geneva and brother; Orville.
He was in the Army Air Corps during W.W. II, and a retired farmer, member of the Christian Church of Bethany, Historical Society of Shelby County, and Shelby County Drainage District commissioner.
