Jamie Ruth Casner, 18, of Oconee, died Saturday Aug. 1, 2001 at 1 a.m. in rural Shelby County. Graveside memorial services will be Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001 in Oconee Mound Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey T. Moore officiating. Arrangements are by McCracken-Dean Funeral Directors, Pana. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or donors choice.
Casner was born Aug. 19, 1982 in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of George James & Jean Henry Casner, Jr., of Oconee.
She is survived by her parents of Oconee, grandmothers; Geraldine "Gerry" Casner, Pana; Sherry Henry, Oconee. Great grandmother; Alice Henry, Pana. Uncles and Aunts: Rick Casner & wife Judy of Pana; Suzie Arnold & husband Kenny of Oconee; Cindy Ward of Pana; Mary Bland and husband Virgil of Pana; Carol Brownback and husband Don of Nokomis; Diane Vasseur and husband Denny of Taylorville; John Henry and wife Cindy of Nokomis; Paul Henry of Nokomis; Barb Henry of Oconee; David Henry of Oconee, also survived by several other family members.
She was preceded in death by Grandparents, George James Casner, Francis E. Henry and Virginia R. Henry.
She graduated Nokomis High School Class of 2001, and was employed as a CNA at Heritage Manor of Pana for 2 years.

David D. Hawker, age 44, of Mattoon, formerly of Pana died Friday, August 10, 2001 at 11:38 a.m. in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
Visitation was Sunday at the McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Monday, August 13, 2001 at the McCracken-Dean Funeral Home in Pana with Rev. Charles Warren and Pastor Don Roberts officiating. Burial was in Linwood Cemetery with graveside military rites by Pana Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4431.
He was born on April 25, 1957 in Pana, the son of Charles Orville and Helen Warren Wagner Hawker.
Mr. Hawker was a counselor at CEAD Council in Charleston and formerly worked at Kemmerer Village and Precision Industries.
He was a graduate of Pana High School, class of 1976 and attended Eastern Illinois University and Lakeland College. He was currently working on a counseling degree.
He was a 15 year member of N.A. where he was active in developing chapters and has held various offices and has been a group leader. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps and served in Hawaii.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Warren Wagner Hawken Dean and her husband Harry of Pana; brothers Charles Wagner and wife Donna of Pana; Curtis Dean and wife Janet of St. Joseph, MO; David M. Dean and wife Roberta of St. Joseph, MO and sister Nancy Wagner of Indianapolis, IN; nieces and nephews, Traci Wagner, Troy Wagner, Rachael Wilson, Brent Dean and Brian Dean and great-niece, Madison Wagner.
He was preceded in death by his father on February 4, 1960.

Bernice C. Lindquist, 91, of Springfield, IL, died Friday August 10, 2001, at her residence. Serving the Lindguist family is the Bisch & Son Funeral Home, 505 E Allen, Springfield, IL, where friends and family may call on Monday 4-6 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m., with Rev. Thomas B. Christell Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Those who wish, may direct memorial contributions to the Grace Lutheran Church.
She was born in Shelbyville, IL, July 2, 1910, the daughter of Henry J. and Josephine Owens Mochel. She married Everett Lindquist June 17, 1928, in Springfield, IL. He preceded her in death May 19, 1975.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Carol (Charles) Shipman of Springfield, Donna (Dr. Laurence) Connelley, of Little Rock Arkansas, 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her son, James in 1999 and 2 brothers.
Mrs. Lindquist retired from the Internal Revenue Service Department of the Treasury. She was a life long member of the Grace Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Springfield Art association, the Order of the Eastern Star, Ansaretts, Springfield Garden Club, Springfield Rose Society, Bonsai Association, Sangamon County Women's Home Extension, Kings Daughters, and various Bridge and Pinochle groups.

Pauline Eades, 85, of Decatur, IL, formerly of Tower Hill, IL passed away at 3:41 a.m, Monday, August 13, 2001 in the Fair Havens Christian Home in Decatur, IL
She was born August 22, 1915 in Macon County, IL the daughter of Ray Earl and Gladys Eaglin Simcox Collins.
She married Oscar Eades December 14, 1934 in Decatur and he preceded her in death May 5, 1982.
She was a member of the Tower Hill Christian Church where she was baptized September 11, 1966. She was a member of the Missionary Club of the church, the Rebekah Lodge and the Shelby County Home Extension.
Surviving are son Donald Eades of North Manchester, IN; daughters Donna Christie of Decatur, and Virginia Tolliver of Irving; brother Earl Ray Collins of Decatur; sister Erla Salefski of Decatur; nine grandchildren; six step grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the Lockart & Sons Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Bob Barr officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service time. Burial will be in the Tower Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Tower Hill Christian Church or Fair Havens Christian Home.

Sylvia Warner, 95 of Tower Hill, died at 2:07 p.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2001, in the Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday in the Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Wayne Arganbright officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday August 16, 2001. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Warner was born June 8, 1906, in rural Tower Hill, Ridge Twp., the daughter of John and Leona Belle McKee McGuar. She married Paul D. Warner on November 29, 1933.
Surviving are her husband, Paul; son, Glen R. Warner and wife Wanda of Tower Hill; grandson, John R. Warner and wife Julie of Shelbyville; one great grandson, Matthew R. Warner and one great step-granddaughter, Stacy Collett.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Paul and Ed McGuar; and one sister, Cecelia "Babe" Hubner.

Vera Oliver, 78, of Pana, died Monday Aug. 13, 2001, at 1:15 p.m. in Prairie Rose Health Care Center, Pana, IL.
She was born Feb. 23, 1923 in Berstin, NB, the daughter of Burt and Ethel King Pinson, both deceased.
Funeral service will be Thursday, August 16, 2001 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, Pana, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Bill Rosnett officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time.
She married James A. Oliver he preceded he in death Feb. 12, 2001.
She is survived by her children; Ronnie Skates and Dora Betten of Paterson, Washington. Brothers and sisters; Don Pinson, Mildred Ross, Dorothy Manning all of Oregon and Caroline Krischt of Ft. Worth, TX. Sister in law; Imogene Fischer, Marion Dudra, Audrey Moore, Jana Faye Miller all of Pana.

Sam Marshall, 55, of Moweaqua, IL, died at 11:05 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2001 in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 0:30 a.m. in Bilyeu Cemetery, Moweaqua, with full Military Honors by Moweaqua American Legion Post 370. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. with Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Moweaqua Ambulance Service.
Mr. Marshall was born in Shelbyville, IL the son of Elmer and Mary (Clark) Marshall. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Benjamin Stoddert in Vietnam, he also was retired from Caterpillar, Decatur,IL.
Mr. Marshall is survived by his sister, Janet and husband Larry Morrell of Moweaqua, sister-in-law; Judy Marshall of Willoughby, OH; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Lonnie.
Sam was a wonderful brother, brother-in-law and friend and he will be sadly missed by all.
Charles L. Russell
Shelbyville
Charles L. Russell, 87, of Shelbyville, IL passed away at 3:45 P.M. Friday, August 17, 2001 at his residence.
He was born July 26, 1914 in Shelby County, IL the son of Simon and Rausa Hart Russell. He married Glendora Riley, January 19, 1941 in St. Charles, MO.
He formerly owned and operated the Spigot in Shelbyville. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was a fifty year member of the VFW Post #4829 and American Legion in Shelbyville and a member of the Shelbyville Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Glendora, sons Harry and wife Peggy, Mark and wife Sally and Chris and wife Janet, all of Shelbyville; brothers Delbert of Pana and Nelson of Shelbyville and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one infant son, brother Arnold and two sisters, Beatrice and Emily.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, with Dr. Bruce Owens officiating. Military Rites will be performed by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday in the Lockart and Sons Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Memorials may be made to the Shelby Memorial Hospital.
