96-year-old Cisne resident Vivian H. Barton Walters died at 7:35 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at the Cisne Healthcare Center.
Survivors include three daughters, Glendean Johnson of Seagrove, NC, Betty Flexter of Cisne, and Reada Lewis of Flora; three sons, Bob Barton of Fairfield, Max Barton of Cisne, and Don Barton of Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Vola Rogers of OK, and Neva Hilliard of Cisne; one step-son, Everett Walters of Kansas City, KS; one step-daughter, Wanda Delaney of Zion, IL, 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5 at Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne with burial at Cisne Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne.
Memorials may be made to the Cisne Healthcare Center Activity Fund.
Betty J. Colyer
74-year-old Albion resident, Betty J. Colyer died at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005, at Burgin Manor in Olney. She had worked in local restaurants for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Donald of Albion; a son, Douglas of Palatine, Il., a sister, Vetis Davis of Albion; two granddaughters, Kelli Allen and Sonja Nelson; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Betty J. Colyer will be 2:30 Sunday, March 6, at Nales Funeral Home in Albion with burial at a later date.
Visitation will be from 12:30 until the time of service at Nales Funeral Home in Albion.

90-year-old Fairfield resident, Hazel L. Ray died at 2:16 Thursday afternoon, March 3, 2005, at Nature Trail Nursing Home in Mount Vernon.
Survivors include a son, Charles Ray of Fairfield and a daughter, Lola Bruce of Bluford; sisters, Martha Jane Ralston and Ruby Marshal of Firfield; a special friend, Sandra McDaniel; ten grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Bernice A. Daubs Boor
93 year old Olney resident, Bernice A. Daubs Boor, died at 3:13 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 20th, 2005 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. A graduate of SUI Carbondale, she taught school in Cisne, Mount Erie and Fairfield. She later taught both elementary and high school in Olney.
Survivors include a son, Fred of Olney; a daughter, Martha Matthes of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; a step son, William Boor of Daphne, Alabama; brothers, Dr. Donald Barnard of Fargo, N.D., and Harold Barnard of Geff; two grandchilkdren, two great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Bernice A. Daubs Boor will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at the First United Methodist Church in Olney with burial in Scott Cemetery at Mount Erie. There will be no visitation.

96 year old Mill Shoals resident, Otis Duckworth, died at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5th, 2005 at White County Medical Center/Skilled Care Unit in Carmi. He was a farmer.

65 year old Carmi resident, Cletus Franklin Duke, died Saturday, March 5th, 2005 at his home. He was a pumper for Podolsky Oil Company in Fairfield for 44 years.
Surviving are his wife Janice; a son, Carl of Carmi; 2 daughters, Doris Cummins and Jane Sturgal both of Carmi; a brother, Jim of McQuady, Kentucky; 2 sisters, Betty Duke of Hardinsburg, Kentucky and Gertrude Smiley of Warrensburg, Illinois; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Elizabeth Blakemore
92 year old Enfield resident, Elizabeth Blakemore, died Saturday evening, March 5th, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville.
She was the site manager at the Enfield Senior Citizens until her retirement in 1999.
She is survived by a daughter Kay Ryan of Benton, KY; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters Fern Russell of Norris City and Nell Wichael of Waterloo, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, March 8th, at the Elledge Funeral Home in Enfield with burial at the Enfield Cemetery.

94 year old rural Bluford resident, Mary Catherine Chambliss, died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, March 5th, 2005 at Way-Fair Restorium in Fairfield. She was a homemaker.
