86 year old West Salem resident, Woodrow "Woody" Tyler passed away at 3:45am Sunday, March 6th, 2005, at Burgin Manor in Olney. He was retired as shipping clerk from Braznell Ink Company in St. Louis after 30 years and a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife Camilla "Billie" Tyler; 3 daughters Mollie Sue Balding of Mission Viejo, CA, Anita Dickison of Lehigh, FL, and Glory Mooberry of Lehigh, FL; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30am Thursday, March 10th, at Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem. Burial will be in Moravian Cemetery in West Salem with full military rites. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Wednesday, March 9th, at Zion United Methodist Church in West Salem.

93-year-old Alice Mabel Mitchell died at 6:34 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005 at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, at the Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Burial at Union Cemetery in Dahlgren.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
Bernard "Boom" Wells
80-year-old Grayville resident, Bernard "Boom" Wells died Wednesday morning, January 19, 2005, at his home. A WW II Army veteran, he was retired from the City of Grayville.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, a son, Jack Wells; and a step-son, Ronnie Wilson of Grayville; two daughters, Barbara Moore of Mount Carmel and Sue Wolfe of West Salem; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services for Bernard "Boom" Wells were at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21st at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville with military rites.
There was no visitation.

Jack Clodfelter
70 year old Calhoun, Il. resident and Wayne County native, Jack Clodfelter, died at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18th, 2005 at his home. He had worked at Champion Labs, and was a retired veteran serving for 20 years in the U.S. Army Security Agency. He was also a member of the Olney and Mt. Carmel Radio Clubs.
Surviving are his wife Louise; 2 sons, Howard of Olney and David of Springfield, Il.; 4 grandchildren also survive.

Surviving are 2 sons, Don of Gallipolis, Ohio and Mickey of Newburgh, Indiana; 2 daughters, Merlene Stengele and Barbara Johnston both of Springfield, Il.; a sister, Jean Keaton of Campbellsville, Kentucky; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

70 year old Geff resident, Juanita Atkinson, died at 9:10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 16th, 2005 at her home. She had been a secretary at the Extension Service Office.
Survivors include her mother, Lily Jones of LeRoy, Ill.; two sons, Dana Atkinson of Blue Mound, Il., and Devon Atkinson of Brownsburg, Ind.; two daughters, Debra Anderson of Geff and Diane Woodrow of Cisne; four brothers, Shorty Jones of Bloomington, Il., Lenny, Butch and Joe Jones, all of Downs, Il.; three sisters, Frankie Whitlock of Minier, Ill., and Jerri Barron and Jan Brown both of LeRoy, Ill; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

69 year old McLeansboro resident, Ralph "Fuzz" Aydt, died at 4:39 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17th, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Il. He was a Laborer for Laborers International Union of North America #1197 in McLeansboro, and was an avid hunter.
Survivors include his lifelong companion, Virginia Allen of McLeansboro; a sister, Florence Bond of Piopolis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, 9 step-children, and 5 nieces and nephews.
