CHARLESTON - Gerry T. Brumleve, age 76, of Charleston, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2000, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Graveside services were held at Roselawn Cemetery in Charleston with Reverend Bill Hall and Pastor Tom Skinner officiating.
Gerry was born August 12, 1924, in Coles County, Illinois, a son of Ralph H. and Mayme Brumleve.
He married Mildred Scott on June 30, 1950 in Charleston.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred of Charleston; two sons, Ralph H. Brumleve and his wife Mary J. of Charleston and Charles T. Brumleve and his wife Mary of Manhattan, Kansas; six grandchildren, Gerry and Ralph Brumleve of Charleston, Amanda, Caleb, Nicholas and Zachary Brumleve, all of Manhattan, Kansas.
He was preceded by his parents.
Gerry was a member of the Central Christian Church.
He was a military veteran having served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Gerry retired from Moore Business Forms after twenty years of service and many will remember him and Mildred during their fourteen year ownership of Brumleve's Trailer Court on East Madison Street in Charleston.
He loved picnics, fishing and flowers, especially red roses. A devoted family man, Gerry will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Sophia Cash
OAKLAND - Sophia Elaine Cash, 94, of Oakland, died at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 16, 2000) at her residence.
Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 10, 1906, in Veszkeny, Hungary, the daughter of Fabian and Roszalia Boros Horvath.
She married Howard Cash in 1924; he died in 1960.
She is survived by two sons, Leonard "Bob" Cash and James H. Cash, both of Paris; two daughters, Delores Lutz of Melbourne, Fla., and Suzanne Buckler of Oakland; one sister, Anna Cavich of South Bend, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, two brothers, one sister and one grandchild.
Mrs. Cash retired in 1973 from Eastern Illinois University, where she had been a cook for many years.
Irene Frances Harper
MATTOON - Irene F. Harper, 90, of Mattoon, passed away at 2:13 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2000, at Mattoon Health Care Center.
Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Irene was born December 23, 1909, in Decatur, Illinois, daughter of Oral and Lillian Rose Escbach Trailor.
She married Henry Clay Harper, November 18, 1933, in Sullivan. He died March 5, 1974.
Survivors include one daughter, Jean McGinnis of Ft. Worth, TX and one son: Forest Harper of Virginia Beach, VA. Grandchildren: Tracey McGinnis of Mattoon, Theresa Buenerkemper of Ft. Worth, TX, and Harold Harper of Virginia Beach, VA. Great-Grandchildren: Betty Jean McGinnis of Mattoon and Janae Buenerkemper of Ft. Worth, TX. One brother: Ralph Trailor of Tacoma, WA, and three sisters: Ruby Calendar and Mildred Leffler of Mattoon, and Winona Burner of Sullivan, also survive.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Irene was a home maker and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Gerald Lineberry
NEOGA - Gerald W. Lineberry, 72, of Neoga, died at 10:29 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 17, 2000) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
The funeral was held at Mullen Cemetery in Spring Point Township .
He was born Feb. 26, 1928, in Cumberland County, the son of William W. "Bert" and Harriett Mae Shafer Lineberry.
He married June K. Hilt in 1963; she survives.
Also surviving are one son, Gerald W. Lineberry Jr. of Vandalia; two daughters, Viola Lineberry of Vandalia and Connie Townes of Gardendale, Ala.; two stepdaughters, Sharon J. Miller of Athens, Texas, and Linda M. Bartlett of Neoga; two sisters, Lillian Shafer of Greenup and Hariett G. Newberry of Effingham; and 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Lineberry was a retired electric engineer; a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War; and a member of Neoga American Legion in Neoga and VFW Post 4598 in Greenup.
Rosetta Losoya
CHARLESTON - Rosetta "Rose" Losoya, 79, of Charleston, died at 11:23 p.m. Monday (Aug. 14, 2000) at the Birchwood Nursing Home, Casey.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Charleston.
She was born Jan. 25, 1921, in Ashmore, the daughter of John W. and Estella Sweitzer Gollady.
She is survived by one daughter, Monica Russell of Glendale, Ariz.; two brothers, Dale Gollady of Blue Island and Robert Gollady of Westville; two sisters, Maxine Barbee of Westfield and Emmaline Lindsey of Greensboro, N.C.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Losoya was a supervisor for Kendall Co. of Chicago.
Henry Adamson
VALIER - Henry M. Adamson, 77, of Valier, formerly of Greenup, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 27, 2000) at his residence.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Bishop Funeral Home in Greenup with Pastor Brooke Davis officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery with military rites by the Cumberland County Veterans. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 16, 1923, in Greenup, the son of Charles Roy and Lola (Shepherd) Adamson.
He married Maria Sophia Stock in 1952; she survives.
Also surviving are one son, Michael Adamson of Valier; two daughters, Emily Mickelwait of Fairfax, Va., and Dorothee Merkle of Walnut, Iowa; two brothers, Forrest Adamson of Brazil, Ind., and Lee Adamson of Greenup; two sisters, Marie Walters and Aileen Cordes, both of Toledo; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son and two brothers.
Mr. Adamson was a Master Sergeant in the army for 22 years, retiring in 1966.
He was a lifetime member of the Greenup VFW Post 4598 and the Greenup American Legion Post 566.
John Braden
STRASBURG - John A. Braden, 51, of Strasburg, died at 1:49 a.m. Friday (Sept. 29, 2000) at his residence.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Grace Lutheran Church, Strasburg, with the Rev. Michael Mohr officiating. A family graveside service will be conducted in Union Cemetery, near Mode. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. The Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, is in charge of the arrangements.
He was born April 24, 1949, in Shelby County, the son of Arthur Edwin and Eva Irene Reel Braden.
He married Marla M. Hutton in 1999; she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Buddy and Patrick, both at home; his mother of Strasburg; two brothers, Dwight and Larry Braden, both of Strasburg; and two sisters, Margaret Opfer of Shobonier and Janet Louthan of Phoenix.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Braden was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was an electrician for Imperial Bondware in Shelbyville and farmed near Strasburg.
He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post 289, both of Strasburg.
Woodrow Niccum
TOLEDO - Woodrow Wilson Niccum, 87, of Toledo, died at 9:20 a.m. Friday (Sept. 29, 2000) at his residence.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Barkley Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Pearce officiating. Burial will be in the Toledo Cemetery.
He was born May 24, 1913, in rural Toledo, the son of James and Ella (Cain) Niccum.
He married Josephine Baker in 1946; she died in 1989.
Surviving are one son, Earl Niccum of Toledo; one daughter, Carol Jo Fritts of Greenup; two sisters, Della Baker of Mattoon and Irene Wassom of Lerna; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers.
Mr. Niccum was a farmer.
Memorials may be made to the Cumberland County Life Center.
Junior Prows
ARCOLA #* Junior Prows, 57, of Arcola died at 7:35 p.m. Friday (Sept. 29, 2000) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodstock Baptist Church in Somerset, Ky. Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery, Eubank, Ky. Local visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Edwards Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Jess Adams.
He was born July 2, 1943, in Somerset, Ky., the son of Cliff and Bonnie Diamond.
He married Linda Beal; she survives.
Also surviving are one son, Scott Prows of Arcola; one daughter, Shelly Swearingen of Toledo; five brothers, Homer Prows of Loveland, Ohio, and Eddie Diamond, Leonard Diamond, Wayne Diamond and David Diamond, all of Goshen, Ind.; and four sisters, Barbara Zehr of Vicksburg, Mich., Janie Mullins of Goshen, Ind., and Lois Mathews and Nancy Petrey, both of Somerset, Ky.
He owned and operated Prows Construction in Arcola for several years.
He was a member of Arcola Masonic Lodge 366 AF&AM, a past Arcola volunteer firefighter, an Army veteran and a member of Woodstock Baptist Church.
