86-year-old Sims resident, Edna L. White died at 11:47 Monday morning, Feb. 21, 2005, in Fairfield. She was a retired cook.
Survivors include daughters, Phyllis Kennedy and Sandra Thomason of Sims and Flora Whitlow of Chaffee, Mo.; brothers, Ray Sons and Russell Sons of Phoenix, Az., a sister, Etherl Sons of Phoenix, Az; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

70 year old Wayne City resident, George Delmar Neff, died at 12:05 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25th, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. He was retired from Fabic, Inc.
Surviving are a sister, Mary Neff of Wayne City.

86 year old Cisne resident, Robert O. Hoffee, died at 11:05 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21st, 2005 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He was a farmer and gasoline supplier to many farmers.
Surviving are his wife Mary Ellen; 4 daughters, Linda Evans of Odin, Trena Gossling of Monmouth, Il., Sondra Jamison of Colchester, Il. and Elaine Salmi of Show Low, Arizona; 2 sons, Robbie of Mt. Erie and Jerry O. Hoffee of Centralia; 2 brothers, John and Carroll both of Fairfield; 3 step-daughters, Florence Legg of Fairfield, Phyllis Neavill of Cisne and Gracie Barnett of Humble, Texas; 5 step-sons, Loyd Young, Bill Young, and Danny Young all of Fairfield, Ray Young of Henderson, Kentucky and Ivan Young of Naples, Florida; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

68-year-old Geff resident, George L. McClellan died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday, February 20th, 2005 at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, IN.
Survivors include his wife Dixie of Geff; three daughters, Debbie Stanford of Clay City; Dianna Harris and Georgia Angle both of Cisne; two sisters, Ann Brockman of Marble Hill Missouri and Betty King of Geff, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

86-year-old former Cisne resident, Robert George Ellis of Gifford, Ill. died at 2:53 Tuesday morning, Feb. 22, 2005, at the County Health Center in Gifford, Ill. A veteran of WW II, he was a welder.
Survivors include five daughters, Bev Devore of Fisher, Il., Bonnie Krider, Mary Landres and Peggy Heath of Chenoa, Il., and Kathy Mose of Streator, Il; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Robert George Ellis were 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at the Johnsonville Cemetery. There was no visitation.
The Hosselton Funeral Home of Cisne was in charge of all the arrangements.
Clarence W. Johnson
81-year-old Fairfield resident, Clarence W. Johnson died at 11:30 Thursday morning, Feb. 24, 2005 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. A veteran of WW II, he had been a laborerer.
Survivors include three daughters, Kay Luthe of Parkersburg, Il., Kathy Beadles of Keens, and Carla Johnson of Brazil, Indiana; a son, Rick Johnson of Terre Haute, Ind., a brother, Carl Johnson of MIchigan; a sister, Mary Lomas of Olney; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The body was to be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
Nales Funeral Home of Albion is in charge of all the services.
Deborah Lynn Johnson
54-year-old former West Salem resident, Deborah Lynn Johnson of Olney, Ill. died at 8:39 Saturday evening, Feb. 19, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, In.
She had worked at AMF-Roadmaster in Olney for 8 years as a dispatcher and was also a computer technician at the West Salem Village Hall for 15 years.
Survivors include a brother, Vernon Johnson, Jr. of Olney, sisters, LaVern Jones and Betty Lynch of Olney, and several nieces and nephews.

81 year old Fairfield resident, William Arthur "Art" Riley, died at 7:57 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19th, 2005 at the Veterans' Affairs Medical Center in Marion, Il. He was a WW II veteran.
Surviving are 2 sons, William A. Riley, Jr. of Fairfield and Edward Riley of Olney; 5 daughters, Ginger Harvey, Carman Cruz and Janet Riley all of Fairfield, Rita Ackley of Mt. Vernon, Il. and Maryland Sons of Union City, Tennessee; 2 brothers, Ron Riley of Geff and Don Riley of Cisne; 2 sisters, Ann New and Susie Headley both of Fairfield; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Gordon Miller
69 year old Eldorado resident, formerly of McLeansboro, Gordon Miller, died at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19th, 2005 at his home. He was retired from Caterpillar Tractor Company in Joliet after 30 years service. A U.S. Army veteran, he had served in Korea from 1956-1958.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Miller of Eldorado; a daughter, Laura Marshall of Streator, Il., a son, Kevin Miller of Braidwood, Il., a sister, Sandra Donelson of Algonquin; and several cousins nieces, and nephews.
