MATTOON - Richard John Siford, 53, of Mattoon, died at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 5, 2000) at his residence.

James F. "Jim" Stone
James F. "Jim" Stone, 62, of Carrollton formerly of Sullivan, IL, was pronounced dead unexpectedly at his residence on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000 at 2:30 p.m.
Born in Sullivan on Feb. 23, 1938 he was the son of Alta Mae Mathias Stone of Sullivan and the late Don O. Stone.
He married the former Pat Feist on April 26, 1956 in Dalton City, IL, and she survives.
Also surviving are a son James Stone of Jacksonville and a daughter Mrs. Russell "Lynn" Dunham of Eldred. 1 granddaughter: Misty Dunham and a great grandchild: Cavan Boyd Chilsted. 2 brothers also survive: Don R. Stone of Leslie, Ark. and Gary W. Stone of Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Stone had most recently worked for Greene Co. Farm Supply until his retirement due to ill health in 1989.
He was a member of the Eldred Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Thursday at the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan from 5-8 P.M.
Graveside rites will be held on Friday at 10 A.M. at the Green Hill Cemetery in Sullivan.
Memorials may be made to the Eldred Baptist Church or to the family.
Myrtle C. Yost
Shelbyville, Illinois - Myrtle C. Yost, 102, of Shelbyville, was called to be with the Lord at 8:05 a.m. Sunday, September 3, 2000, in Olivewood Health Care Center, Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Visitation one hour before services. Burial will be in Humboldt Cemetery, Humboldt.
Memorials may be given to Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Bethany.
Mrs. Yost was born on July 26, 1898 in Omega Township of Marion County, Illinois, the daughter of Clayborn and Cerilda Roton Sipes.
As a young lady she attended and worked in the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church near Omega, Illinois. She sang with her sisters and played organ there for many years before and after her marriage to Lester Yost on March 5, 1921.
After her husband died on June 6, 1964, she moved to Bethany, Illinois and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her son, Gerald Yost and wife Mary of Veguita, New Mexico; daughters, Pauline Oest and husband Henry of South Bend, Washington and Vera Moon and husband John of Shelbyville, Illinois; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband; one son, Melburn Yost; and one daughter, Juanita Dobson.
Dee Anderson
HAMMOND, IND. - Dee Anderson, 88, of Hammond, Ind., formerly of West York, died Friday (Sept. 1, 2000) at the Community Hospital in Hammond, Ind.
The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Chapel in West Union with the Rev. Richard Chapman officiating.
Burial was in the Bradbury Cemetery with military rites by the West Union American Legion Post 1130 and Hutsonville American Legion Post 742.
He was born Feb. 29, 1912 in Hutsonville, the son of James D. and Margaret Lindley Anderson.
He married Florence. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Bob Farnsworth of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother, Gerald Lillis Anderson of Terre Haute, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Mr. Anderson was retired from Inland Steel Co.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 16 and VFW Post 3029, both of Hammond, Ind.
Wilma Carrell
GREENUP - Wilma A. Carrell, 83, of Greenup, died at 12:05 p.m. Monday (Sept. 4, 2000) at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Charles Carrell
Charles Carrell, age 81, of Winter Haven, Florida, formerly of Mattoon, passed away at 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, September 3, 2000, at his residence.
The funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Schilling Funeral Home with the Reverend Robert C. Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Dodge Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday morning at the funeral home.
Charles was born at Toledo, Cumberland County, Illinois on October 7, 1918, a son of Charles Lewis and Emma Ann Perring Carrell.
He married Mary L. Ehrhart on October 10, 1937 at Charleston, Illinois. She passed away on June 28, 1999.
Survivors include one son, Richard M. Carrell and wife Julia B. of Lakeland, Fla.; three grandchildren, Mary Virginia (Carrell) Holmes and husband Edward, Richard Todd Carrell and Holly Erin Carrell, all of Lakeland, Fla.; one sister, Anne Barkley of San Antonio, Texas; and sister-in-law, Betty Miller and husband Robert of Mattoon.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Marvin, Earl and Todd; and two sisters, Mildred Craig and Hazel Wade.
Mr. Carrell was a co-owner and operator of the Mattoon Milk Company and the Mid West Chips Company in Springfield. He and his wife also owned and operated The Place To Frame in Winter Haven, Fla. from 1980-1987.
He was formerly a member of the First Christian Church in Mattoon, Rotary Club in Mattoon, Charter member and organizer of Toast Masters and the Mattoon Men's Republican Club.
Lola Carwell
OAKLAND - Lola M. Carwell, 90, of Oakland, IL, died at 6:43 AM, Saturday, September 2, 2000 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 5, 2000 at Taber Funeral Home, Oakland. Rev. Jerry Sweeny and Tony Crouch will officiate. Burial will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, at Janesville Cemetery, Janesville, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Monday Sept. 4, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Carwell was born September 27, 1909, at Mattoon, IL the daughter of Clarence M. and Nora Sampson Walker.
She married James O. Carwell on July 28, 1928. He died in 1960.
Survivors include: 1 son: Harold J. Carwell and wife, Lucille of Oakland, 1 daughter: Virginia Carwell of Georgetown, Texas. 3 grandchildren: Steven J. Carwell and wife, Debi of Sandy, Utah, Gary M. Carwell and wife, Laura of Paris, IL and David Carwell of Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. 2 Great-Grandchildren: James T. Carwell and Angela R. Carwell, both of Sandy, Utah. 1 Sister: Rotha McNeill of Denver, Colorado, and 2 Half-Sisters: Loretta Grace May of Charleston, IL and Vivian Moffett of Fleming, Colorado. 1 Step-Sister: Lois McPheron and husband, Walt of Mattoon, IL. 1 Sister-in-Law: Virginia Moritz, and husband, Harold of Mattoon. 1 Daughter-In-Law: Twilla Carwell and husband, Marvin of Paris, IL. Also, a special friend: Cindy Eckerty Hart of Lisle, IL, whom Lola raised from birth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son: Marvin, and 1 Grandson: Kent Carwell.
Mrs. Carwell was a homemaker and member of Antioch Baptist Church, Oakland.

Angelica Kimery
Angelica Marie Kimery 6 week old daughter of April Kimery of Gays died Friday morning (September 1, 2000) in the Cardinal Glennan Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Smyser Christian Church, Gays. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until servicetime at the church. Burial will be in the Smyser Christian Church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor.
She was born July 21, 2000 in St. Louis, MO.
Surviving are her mother April Kimery of Gays; grandparents Teresa and David Purcell of Gays; great-grandfather Gary Lang of Charleston; uncles Buddy Kimery and David Purcell both of Gays; aunt Robin Gossett of Charleston; adopted father Derrick Thompson of Neoga and special friends Karen and Mary Smith of Windsor.

MOORESVILLE, IND. - George Lee Loving, 76, of Mooresville, Ind., formerly of Sumner, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 3, 2000) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind.

Mary McGeary
CHARLESTON - Mary H. McGeary, 76, of Charleston died at 3:56 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 2, 2000) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
The funeral will be at noon Tuesday at the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home with the Rev. John Keyes officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
She was born Oct. 19, 1923 in Nashville, Tenn., the daughter of John and Rachel Thompson Galloway.
She married William McGeary in 1950. He died in 1970.
Surviving are one son, Bill McGeary of Savoy and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son and two sisters.
Mrs. McGeary was a homemaker and member of the University Baptist Church in Charleston.
