94-year-old Dahlgren resident, Harriett M. Cockrum died at 3:40 Monday afternoon, April 25, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Joycelyn Cockrum of Dahlgren, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Harriet M. Cockrum were at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with burial in Richardson Hill Cemetery near Dahlgren.

Edward Lee Trusty
56-year-old Mount Carmel resident, Edward Lee Trusty died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at the VA Hospital in Marion, Ill. He was an operating engineer and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine; a son, Michael McWilliams; his mother, Marie Trusty; two sisters, Connie Butler and Patti Funkhouser, a brother, Billy Ray and two grandchildren.
Funeral services for Edward Lee Trusty were 10 a.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery with full military rites.
Visitation was from 5 til 7 Wednesday evening, April 27, at the Cook Chapel in Grayville.

Charles O. "Chuck" Garrett Jr.
47 year old Enfield resident, Charles O. "Chuck" Garrett Jr. died at 11:33 a.m. Saturday, April 23rd, 2005 at White County Medical Center in Carmi. He was a corrections officer at Big Muddy Corrections Institution in Ina, and a member of the Sportsman Club in Enfield.
Surviving are his wife Barbara Ellen Garrett; his parents, Olin and Beatrice Garrett of Enfield; 3 sons, Joel Matthew and Tony Lee Sanders of Fairfield, and Ryan Edward Sanders of Enfield; 2 sisters, Audrey Elwood of Enfield and Cindy Hardin of Danville, Il.; aunts Alice Carter of Fairfield, Sue and May Garrett and Pat Fogle all of Bloomington, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

100 year old Fairfield resident, Irene Funkhouser, died at 6 a.m. Thursday, April 21st, 2005 at Way-Fair Restorium in Fairfield. She was a school teacher for 38 years.
Surviving are 3 nephews, Max Vaughan and Noel Vaughan both of Fairfield, and Mark Funkhouser of Green sboro, North Carolina; and 3 nieces, Wilma King of Mill Shoals, Judith McCormick of Hillsboro, Missouri and Donna Nicely of Anderson, Indiana.
