BROWNSVILLE, Texas - Michael Julian Blagg, 41, of Brownsville, Texas, formerly of Villa Grove, died at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 28, 2000, at BNC Hospital in Brownsville, Texas, from injuries sustained when he fell from a truck.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Villa Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Tennyson officiating.
He was born April 5, 1959, in Waukegan, the son of Julian "Buck" G. and Doris Blagg.
Surviving are his mother, Doris Eversole of Brownsville, Texas; father and stepmother, Letha Blagg, of Tuscola; one daughter, Kathryn Cherie Blagg of Jerseyville; two sisters, Charlene Blagg Steadman of Satellite Beach, Fla., and Lisa Eversole Goodman of Dallas; and three stepbrothers, Bob, Bill and David Davis, all of Tuscola.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
Mr. Blagg was a barber.

Ralph Green
WESTFIELD - Ralph Howard Green, 92, of Westfield, died at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 5, 2000) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Care Center.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Markwell Funeral Home, Casey, with the Rev. Tom Marsh officiating.
Burial will be in the Washington Street Cemetery in Casey.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born April 21, 1908, in Hutton Township, the son of Clyde L. Green and Nellie M. Riggins Green.
He married Melba C. Brewer in 1937; she died in 1992.
He is survived by one daughter, Sue Humphrey of Terre Haute, Ind.; two sisters, Wilma Green of Westfield and Ruby Golladay of Blue Island; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers.
Mr. Green was a retired farmer.
He was a member of the Casey First Baptist Church, a life member of Ashmore Masonic Lodge 390, Danville Consistory AASR, Knights of the York Cross of Honour of Illinois 11, a 32nd degree Mason, Chapter and Commandery of Paris and Knights of Pythias in Marshall.
Geneva Meador
SULLIVAN - Geneva Meador, 75, of Sullivan, died at 2:15 p.m. Monday (Dec. 4, 2000) in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan.
Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Wednesday and one hour before services on Thursday.
Burial will be in Marrowbone Township Cemetery, Bethany.

Mrs. Meador was born in Springfield on March 31, 1925, the daughter of Hubert L. and Mettie J. Sloan Bridges.
She had worked at Brown Shoe Company, Sullivan and then retired from Felicity Fashions, Sullivan.
Geneva married Lonnie W. Meadors on October 14, 1939, in Kentucky and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1984.
Surviving are her sons, Lonnie Meador, Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Findlay, and James "Jim" Meador and long time friend Barb Russell of Sullivan; daughters, Mrs. Charles (Louise) Gayer of Arcadia, Florida, Mrs. Earl Roger (Sue) Savage of Effingham and Mrs. Robert (Sharon) Green of Sullivan; brother, Bill Bridges of Mattoon; sisters, Gladys Cowell of Crawfordsville, Ind., and Mrs. Benton Robert (Dorothy) White of Sullivan; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, for brothers, one grandson, one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson.
Alvena Piatt
ATWOOD - Alvena L. Quick Piatt, 91, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Atwood, died Nov. 25, 2000, in Mesa, Ariz.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lake Fork Cemetery, Atwood, with the Rev. Conrad Heisner officiating.
Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, Atwood, is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born Feb. 28, 1909, in Piatt County, the daughter of Guy and Elizabeth Kamm Quick.
She married Dale McCormack in 1949; he died in 1991.
She married Don Piatt in 1993; he survives.
Also surviving are one brother, James Quick of Atwood; two sisters, Geneva King of Wilmington and Maurine Funk of Atwood; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Piatt was also preceded in death by one brother.

Dr. Patricia Mary Pugh
CHARLESTON - Dr. Patricia Mary Pugh, age 59, of rural Charleston, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2000 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
Private family memorial services celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2000 at the First Christian Church in Mattoon, Illinois with Reverend Robert Clark officiating.
There will be no visitation. Adams Funeral Chapel of Charleston is handling the arrangements.
Dr. Pugh was born June 11, 1941, in North Rode, Cheshire, United Kingdom, the daughter of Herbert and Mary (Allibone) Brindley.
She married John E. Pugh in North Rode Church in Cheshire on May 2, 1964.
He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Caroline D.M. Learmonth and her husband Mark of Sandton, South Africa and Bronwen S.L. Lopez and her husband Cedric of Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina; three grandchildren, Fraser Learmonth, Owen Learmonth and Sophie Learmonth all of Sandton, South Africa, and three brothers, Ron Brindley and his wife Chris of Congleton, Cheshire, Keith Brindley of Near Northampton and Bert Brindley of Anglesey, North Wales.
She was preceded by her parents, one sister, Babara Swindells and two brothers, Jack Brindley and Derek Brindley.
Dr. Pugh was a member of the Church of England, and an excellent lecturer of Physiology and Biology at Cardiff University, the institution where she earned her Ph.D.
She will also be remembered for her work as a research scientist.
"Pat," as she was affectionately known to her family, was a wonderful wife and mother.
She was an avid reader of mystery novels, loved gardening, British food and customs.

Colleen Robinson
SULLIVAN - Colleen Robinson, 89, of Sullivan, died at 8:58 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 5, 2000) at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan.
Burial will be in Marrowbone Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born Aug. 23, 1911, in Moultrie County, the daughter of Roy W. and Clara Hale Scott.
She married Cecil A. Robinson in 1937; he died in 1974.
Surviving are four sons, Wayne Robinson of Bethany, Don Robinson of Vernon, Texas, and Richard and Gary Robinson, both of Sullivan; one daughter, Shirlene Cole of Sullivan; one sister, Grace Hilliard of Bethany; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one stepsister.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Sullivan, and the Moultrie County Home Extension.

Richard "Dick" Scribner
ASHMORE - Walter Richard "Dick" Scribner, age 90, of Charleston, formerly of Ashmore, passed away at 8:35 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2000 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 O'clock PM Thursday at the Ashmore Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Smith officiating.
Burial will be in the Ashmore Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-8 PM at Taber Funeral Home, Oakland.
Masonic services will be conducted by the Ashmore Masonic Lodge at 7:30 PM.
Visitation will be at the church from noon until funeral hour.
Mr. Scribner was born in Rennellsville, Illinois on August 29, 1910, the son of Grover and Elizabeth Tripp Scribner.
He was raised by his Grandmother and step-Grandfather; Horace and Minerva Donathon.
He married Virginia Shoot on August 2, 1930, at Charleston; she passed away in 1976.
He is survived by 2 sons: Jerrold "Dick" Scribner of Peoria and wife Kandi; Jay Scribner of Branson, Mo., and wife Kay.
Also surviving are 3 daughters: Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Wilson of Westfield, Ill., Mrs. Henry (Janet) Bough of Charleston, Ill. and Mrs. Larry (Jackie) Butler of Mattoon, Ill.
Also 23 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Daughters-in-law; Janet of Champaign and Shirley of Gainsville, Florida.
He was preceded in death by 2 Sons: Jerry and James and 1 Brother; Horace Scribner.
Mr. Scribner was a member of the Ashmore Masonic Lodge AF&AM #390 and the Carpenter's Local #347 of Mattoon, Illinois.
He was a retired carpenter.

Lois Taylor
WATSEKA - Lois Mae Fore Taylor, 30, of Watseka, formerly of Humboldt, died at 6 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 2, 2000) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. today at the Watseka Methodist Church.
She was born Feb. 26, 1970, the daughter of Fred and Barbara Russell Fore.
She married Keith Taylor in 1995; he survives.
Also surviving are her mother of Humboldt; one son, Zack; two brothers, Kay Fore of Mattoon and Rhonda Fore of Humboldt; four sisters, Harriett Clark and Pam Clark of Arcola, Marsha McLain of Humboldt and Cheryl Heath of Mattoon; and her grandmother, Elfried Russell of Arthur.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
Mrs. Taylor worked in the Iroquois County State's Attorney's Office.

ARTESIA, N.M. - Robert A. "Bob" Birch Jr., 64, of Artesia, N.M., died Saturday (Dec. 2, 2000) at Artesia General Hospital in Artesia, N.M.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Terpening & Son Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Mowery officiating.
Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was born March 6, 1936, in Charleston, the son of Robert A. Birch Sr. and Vera Wheeler Birch.
He married Marie Rigdon in 1957; she survives.
Also surviving are his parents of Charleston; one daughter, Patti Pennington of Artesia, N.M.; two brothers, Hugh Birch and Jim Birch, both of Illinois; one sister, Sue Warren of Cloudcroft, N.M.; and three grandsons.
He was preceded in death by one daughter.
Mr. Birch was an auto mechanic and member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

MATTOON - Dorothy I. Blackburn, age 86, of Mattoon, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2000 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.

Burial will be Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery.

She was born June 19, 1914 in Panama, Il., the daughter of Walter and Sarah Daggett Havron.
She married Rev. Alva Lloyd Blackburn on April 7, 1932.
He preceded her in death on November 16, 1992.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Delores Mae) Rodgers of Coosbay, Ore. and Barbara Ann Markham of Cooks Mills, Il.; two sisters, Leona Hamby of Hillsboro, Il. and Bertha McCloughan of Litchfield, Il.; nine grandchildren, including Mrs. Dannie (Sherri) Gordon of Lake Paradise; seventeen great-grandchildren, including Christopher Markham of Cooks Mills, Il. and Justin, Tyler and Amanda Gordon of Lake Paradise; and close friend, Mrs. Virginia I. Patrick of Mattoon.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, six sisters and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Blackburn was a retired nurses aid from Mattoon Memorial Hospital and private practice.
She was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Mattoon and served on many church groups and organizations.
