MARSHALL - Randy E. Phillippi, 42, of Marshall died at 11 a.m. Friday (Feb. 23, 2001) in Clark County.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the Markwell & Son Funeral Home in Casey with the Rev. Terry Blanchard officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
He was born Jan. 17, 1959, in Casey, the son of Junior Earl and Mary Katherine Craig Phillippi.
He married Donna M. Yocum in 1980. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents; one son, William Earl Phillippi of Casey; one daughter, Roxsanna Marie Phillippi of Marshall; two stepsons, Danny D. Clay of Greenup and Christopher Allen Clay of Casey; one sister, Darlena Reynolds of Casey; one brother, David Phillippi of Woodbury; and one step-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Eloise Risley
SULLIVAN - Eloise Risley, 77, of Sullivan died 3:45 p.m. Friday (Feb. 23, 2001) at Shelbyville Manor Nursing Home.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan.
Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before service time on Monday at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 12, 1924, in Sullivan, the daughter of Andrew and Neva Graven Fultz.
She married Paul E. Risley in 1942.
He died in 1998.
Surviving are one son, Gene Risley of Lima, Ohio; one sister, Neva Dean Endsley of Shelbyville; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, one sister and two brothers.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Sullivan.
Memorials may be made to the Moultrie County Senior Center.
Elsie Marie Stone
MATTOON - Elsie Marie Stone, age 90, of Mattoon, passed away 4:45 a.m. Sunday, February 25, 2001 at Mattoon Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2001 at the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home with Dr. Donald Selvidge officiating.
Interment will be in Rest Have Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
Elsie Marie Stone was born July 5, 1910 at Neoga, Illinois, a daughter of Charles and Ella Jane Ferris Sewell.
She married Victor LeLand Stone who preceded her in death in 1983.
She is survived by a son, Gary Stone and his wife Diane of Humboldt; two grandsons, Stephen Richard Stone of Mattoon and Scott Alan Stone of Humboldt; and one great grandson, Alexander Dalton Stone of Mattoon.
Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Stone was a member of the Church of Christ to which memorial contributions may be made.

CASEY - Clarence Lavern Malone, 89, of Casey, died at 8 a.m. Friday (Feb. 23, 2001) at Simple Blessings Senior Living Center, Casey.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Markwell and Son Funeral Home, Casey, with the Rev. Terry Blanchard officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, south of Annapolis.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
He was born Jan. 25, 1912, in Harlowton, Mont., the son of Otis James Malone and Flora M. Hungerford.
He married Bertha Kern in 1945; she died in 2000.
Surviving are two brothers, Ivan Malone of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Loran Malone of West Point, Miss.; four sisters, Dortha Dykstra of Grand Ville, Mich., Inez Irby of Lowell, Mich., Ruth Cooper of Marshall and Genevieve Hickox of Casey; and raised one grandchild, Rachel Skye Harris of Atlanta. -
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, one brother and one sister.
Mr. Malone was a retired carpet layer and interior decorator.
He was a member of the Word of Life Church and a World War II veteran.

GEORGETOWN - Helen E. Reynolds Smith, 61, of Georgetown, died at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 21, 2001) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center Logan Campus, Danville.
A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. at Prust-Hosch Funeral Chapel in West Union with the Rev. Steve Stanley and the Rev. Dale Peaslee officiating.
Private burial of ashes will be Sunday afternoon at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, rural Martinsville.
She was born April 9, 1939, in West York, the daughter of Clem Everett Reynolds and Freda Marie Bridgett Reynolds.
She married Charles F. "Frank" Smith in 1962; he survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Brian Smith of Villa Grove and Eric Smith of Hoopeston; two daughters, Sherry Kamphaus of Villa Grove and Diana Boyd of Georgetown; one brother, Fred Reynolds of Rantoul; one sister, Nila Reynolds of Marshall; and several grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and member of the Allerton Church of Christ.

MATTOON - Gary Nelson Adams, Sr., age 46, of Mattoon, joined the Angels of the Lord 10:35 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2001, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2001 at the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home with Reverend Eugene Black officiating.
Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Gary Nelson Adams, Sr. was born March 8, 1954 at Elyria, Ohio, a son of Lawrence and Elizabeth Murphy Adams.
He married Kathie Winchester February 15, 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Kathie of Mattoon; daughter, Kimberly Quarles and husband Juan of Mattoon; sons, Gary Adams, Jr. and fiance Dana Worthey, CPL Daniel Adams, USMC, Chadwick Adams and Garrett Adams all of Mattoon.
He is also survived by a brother, Robert Adams and wife Celia of Charleston; sisters, Nancy Creech and husband James of Chico, California, Linda Blackmon and husband Robert of Texas and Sandra Finke of Mason; grandchildren, Andrew Miller, Taya Quarles and Jayde Adams all of Mattoon as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sons and one grandchild.
Mr. Adams was a member of the First United Methodist Church and had been employed as a mechanics specialist at Blaw Knox Construction Equipment Company for 21 years.

STRASBURG-Mildred C. Figgins, 63, of Strasburg, Illinois, died at 4:49 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2001 in Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Illinois.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Shelbyville, Illinois.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m.
Graveside services with military rites will be in Annunciation Catholic Cemetery, California, Missouri on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Memorials may be given to Catholic Charities or donors's choice.
Mrs. Figgins was born May 14, 1937, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Patrick Joseph and Julia Mildred McMahon McGrath.
She was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Shelbyville and American Legion Auxiliary Post #289, Strasburg.
She married William Eugene Figgins on January 14, 1956 at the U.S. Naval Training Center in Bainbridge, Maryland.
Surviving are her husband; four children, Charlotte Heather and husband Mitchell of Clarksburg, Missouri, Eileen Coffelt of California, Missouri, William Figgins and wife Cathy of Vandenburg AFB, California and Robert Figgins and wife Cathy of Ozark, Arkansas; sisters, Gemma Gogal of Harrison City, Pennsylvania and Geraldine Prince of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.
Barry Riccio
URBANA - Barry Daniel Riccio, 46, of Urbana, died Jan. 10, 2001, at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego.
A memorial service was conducted in San Diego.
Surviving are his mother, Felicia P. Riccio of Scottsdale, Ariz.; his wife, Kathryn H. Anthony of Urbana; and one brother, Gregory J. Riccio of Scottsdale, Ariz.
Mr. Riccio was an associate professor of history at Eastern Illinois University from 1990-2001.
He had taught history at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Knox College, Illinois Wesleyan University, University of California at Berkeley and elsewhere.
He had authored a book "Walter Lippmann: Odyssey of a Liberal" and numerous other publications.
He also had authored a play "The Review" performed at the Charleston Alley Theatre in 1997.
At the time of his death, he was writing a book on America from 1975-2000, and with his wife was co-authoring a book "Running for Our Lives: The Odyssey of Our Battle with Cancer.

Burial will be in Garland Brook Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 9, 1910, in Mattoon, the daughter of Charles and Daisy Mae Barnes Coverstone.
She married Walter E. Ashworth in 1929; he died in 1969.
Surviving are one son, Edward W. Ashworth of Delaware, Ohio; two daughters, Joanne Mitchell and Janis Stillinger, both of Columbus, Ind.; one brother, Charles French of Mattoon; two sisters, Katherine Breeze of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Florence Nichols of Mattoon; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Ms. Ashworth was a member of the First Christian Church.
