80 year old rural St. Francisville resident, Bernard Cameron Lewis, died Saturday evening, July 2nd, 2005 at his home. He had worked for more than sixty years in the oil business in the Illinois Basin. A U.S. Army veteran of WW II, he served in the Battle of the Bulge.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Norma Lewis; a brother, Kenneth Lewis of Sterling, Colorado; a sister, Eloise Hughes of Indianapolis, Ind., and childrlen, Bernie Lewis, Clyde Lewis, Theresa Sloss and Tammie McFarland; plus twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services for Bernard Cameron Lewis were 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, at the Allendale Cemetery.
Visitation was from 6 til 8 Tuesday evening, July 5, at the Ingram Funeral Home in Allendale.

99-year-old Fairfield resident, May Corina Dennis died at 2:45 Friday morning, July 1, 2005, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, Ill.
Survivors include daughters, Helen Hand of Peoria and Darlene Zachman of E. Moline, Ill., five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

75-year-old Bluford resident, Betty L. McKinney died at 8:40 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2005, at her home.

82-year-old Fairfield resident, Jack W. Vertrees died at 6:25 Tuesday morning, June 28, 2005, at Wayfair in Fairfield. A WW II veteran, he was a long time editor of the Wayne County Press.

37-year-old Summerville, Georgia resident, Kimberly Ann Cameron died at 6:15 Monday morning, June 27, 2005, in the Floyd County Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. She attended school in Grand Island, Nebraska, and Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Survivors include daughters, Tamara and Nicole Cameron at home, sons, Allen and Mike Cameron at home; her grandfather, Harold Brent of Mount Carmel, along with aunts and uncles, Donald and Beulah Irvin of Dale, Ill.; William L. "Pete" and Anna Mae Anderson of McLeansboro.; and brothers, Tony Eirick of Summerfield, Georgia and Rick Cameron of Myrtle Beach, S. Carolina.
Graveside services for Kimberly Ann Cameron were at 11 a.m. Thursdsay, June 30, at the Hebron Cemetery near Walpole.Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery. There will be no visitation.
