Patricia Elder

SULLIVAN - Patricia Kay (Katie) Elder, 45, of Sullivan, died at 11:31 p.m. Friday (Nov. 9, 2001) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born March 10, 1956, in Sullivan, the daughter of George Dale and Evelyn Carnine Elder.

Surviving are her mother of Sullivan and three brothers, Gerald C. Elder of Shelbyville, Thomas W. Elder of Sullivan and Les Elder of Milton, N.H.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.

Ms. Elder was a CNA and attended the First Christian Church in Sullivan. She was a member of the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary Post 68 of Sullivan.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Louise Honnold

PARIS - Louise Tym Honnold, 85, of Paris, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 10, 2001) at Paris Community Hospital.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Sutton & Son Funeral Home in Paris. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery north of Kansas. Visitation will be private.

She was born Jan 9, 1916, in Charleston, the daughter of Dr. William B. and Gertrude Best Tym. She married J. Eugene Honnold in 1944. He died in 1973.

Surviving are one sister, Martha Johnson of Carlsbad, Calif.; one nephew, Stephen B. Johnson of Pasadena, Calif. and one niece, Jan Corneilson of Vista, Calif.

Mrs. Honnold was a member First United Methodist Church of Paris.

BETTY A. MILLER

Betty Ann Miller, age 73, of Mattoon, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2001, at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.

Private family graveside services celebrating her life will begin at 1:30 p.m. Today (Monday) at the Dodge Grove Cemetery with the Reverend John B. Crutcher officiating. No visitation is planned. The Schilling Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Betty was born February 22, 1928, in Mattoon, a daughter of Robert and Grace Thorpe Gullion. She married Wayne E. Miller Sr. on May 22, 1947 in Mattoon. He passed away April 19. 1992. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne E. Miller Jr. and wife Pat and Terry G. Miller, all of Mattoon; two daughters, Eunice A. Welch and husband Robert and Marsha Overton and husband Roy "Bill", all of Mattoon; one brother, George Gullion of Mattoon; ten grandchildren, Rob, David, Trisha, Tony, Geoff, Vincent, Mike. Tammy, Troy and Doug; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a member of the First Alliance Church in Mattoon.

Memorial gifts may be made to the First Alliance Church.

Kenneth D. Williamson

Kenneth D. Williamson, 46, of Findlay, IL passed away at 7:43 PM Thursday Nov. 8, 2001 at his residence.

Mr. Williamson was born Nov. 18, 1954 in Shelbyville the son of Raymond and Anna Mae Luthe Williamson.

He was a carpenter and an avid NASCAR fan.

He married Brenda Browning Feb. 16, 1974 in Findlay and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter Michelle Bricker and husband Lyle of Findlay; son Erik at home; granddaughters: Miranda Bricker and Brittany Bricker both of Findlay; mother, Anna Mae Williamson of Shelbyville; brothers: Clifford Williamson and wife Linda, Raymond Williamson and wife Marla of Shelbyville and Jim Williamson all of Shelbyville; sisters Leota Bragg and husband Gene of Sullivan and Cheryl Williamson of Findlay; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Father.

Private memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday Nov. 12, 2001 in Lockart and Sons Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Rev. Jeff Browning will officiate. Memorials can be made to the Erik Williamson Education Fund.

Pauline M. Daugherty

MATTOON - Pauline M. Daugherty, age 79, of Mattoon, passed away at 11:25 a.m. Thursday, November 8, 2001 at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 12, 2001 at Central Community Church with Reverend Mike Simonella officiating. Interment will be in Washington Cemetery near Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to service time Monday at the church. Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pauline was born September 8, 1922 in Shelby County, Illinois a daughter of Paul and Charlotte Miller Runkel. Her daughter, Ronnette Coffman and her husband Chris of Millington, Tennessee; a niece whom she raised, Ginnie Underwood and her husband Fred of Hudson, Illinois and a son Ron Camfield and his wife Karen of rural Gays, Illinois, survive her. Seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive. Two brothers, Harold and Harry Runkel and a sister, Thelma Shuder preceded Pauline in death.

Mrs. Daugherty was a member of Central Community Church. She owned and operated restaurants in Shelbyville and Dalton and worked in nursing homes in Mt. Zion for many years. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Community Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Betty Holthaus

SULLIVAN - Betty A. Holthaus, 77, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Dalton City, died at 4:20 a.m. Friday (November 9, 2001) at the Alterra Clarebridge Care Center, Tucson, Arizona.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday in St. Columcille Catholic Church, Sullivan with Father John Sohm officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday in Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan, with 7 p.m. prayer service. Burial will be in St. Isidore Cemetery, Bethany. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimers Association.

Betty was born June 29, 1924, in Decatur the daughter of William Henry and Margaret Louise Henneberry Brown. She had worked as a secretary for the radiological and medical records departments of St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dalton City, Moultrie County Home Extension, Moultrie County RSVP, Sacred Heart Alter Society and a graduate of St. Teresa High School, Decatur. She married Raymond H. Holthaus on June 28, 1947 in Macon and he preceded her in death on March 31, 1997.

Surviving are her daughters: Mrs. Charles (Jana) Clark of Urbana, Rayne Holthaus of Tucson, Arizona; a brother, Bill Brown of Macon and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son.

Delbert Markley

MANTENO - Delbert "Ivan" Markley, 78, of Manteno, died Wednesday (Nov. 8, 2001) at Riverside.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Kankakee, with the Rev. Martin R. Gutzmer officiating. The Hertz-Thoma Chapel, Kankakee, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Jan. 12, 1923, in Fayette, the son of Harvey Markley and Ruth Threewit. He married Lovetta Kline in 1946; she survives.

Other survivors include one son, Jim Markley of Libertyville; four daughters, Linda Overacker of Apache Junction, Ariz., Teresa Gibson of Kankakee, and Kathy Reed and Kelly Rice, both of Charleston; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Mr. Markley was an operating engineer for Azzarelli for 20 years and had previously worked at Lehigh Stone Quarry. He was affiliated with the Trinity United Methodist Church in Kankakee and was a member of the Perry Farm Association.

DALE BRENT McCULLOUGH II

CHARLESTON, IL - Dale Brent McCullough II, age 28 of Charleston, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2001 at his residence. Services celebrating his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 12 (2001) with Reverend John Keyes officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00. Services and Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston. Following the services, Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery in Hutton Township.

Brent was born November 22, 1972 at Cherry Point Marine Corp Air Station in North Carolina, the son of Dale "Brent" and Janet (Cougill) McCullough.

He is survived by his parents of Charleston; one sister, Kimberly McCullough of Charleston; two grandmothers, Alma McCullough and Josephine Cougill, both of Charleston; three uncles, Terry McCullough and his wife Judy of Athens, Alabama, Jerry Cougill and his wife Kay of Braidwood, Illinois and Steve Cougill and his wife Pam of Charleston; three aunts, Cecelia Carter and her husband Rick of Alpharetta, Georgia, Carol Galey and her husband Reggie and Judy Barr and her husband Gary, all of Charleston; twenty-two cousins; and four special friends, Winston Miller living in the Chicago area, Joe McSwain, Brian Houston and Matt Strong, all of Charleston. He was preceded by two grandfathers, Simpson P. McCullough and William "Mino" Cougill.

Brent was a member of the University Baptist Church in Charleston. A 1991 Graduate of Charleston High School, Brent worked alongside his father in his father's business, MC Services. He was a Military Veteran and took great pride in the fact he served with the United States Marine Corps. His interests were many and varied, having a keen interest in the internet where he made several friends, attending barbershop quartet functions with his father, dirt biking, horseback riding and country music. His family, for whom he dearly loved and enjoyed being in their midst, included his German Shepherd, Duke. Brent held a special fondness for the out-of-doors and family gatherings often involved hiking, camping and fishing. He will be warmly and lovingly remembered as a very special son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend.

Brent's family requests that memorial gifts in his honor be made to a Charity of the Donor's Choice. Memorial gifts may be made at the Visitation or Services, or mailed to Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston, IL 61920.

Mary Timmons Reniche

BLOOMINGTON - Mary Margaret Timmons Reniche, 68, of Bloomington, died at 5:40 a.m. Friday (Nov. 9, 2001) at her residence.

A memorial mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at the Immaculate Conception Church, 2020 Richmond Ave., Mattoon, IL, with Father Herman Niebrugge officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mattoon. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington, IL with the Rev. Thomas Shea leading the Rosary service at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the OSF St. Joseph Hospice 2416 E. Washington St., Bloomington, IL. 61701.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Reniche; daughters, Christie Ann Reniche of Bloomington and Theresa (Vernon) Speickes of Normal; son, Jim Reniche; brother, Donald (Jeanette) Timmons of Chillicothe, IL; mother-in-law, Florence Reniche of Bourbonnais; two grandchildren, Pvt. Scott Speickes of Fort Eustice, Virginia and Jennifer Speickes of Normal.

Mrs. Reniche was born Jan. 26, 1933 in Mattoon the daughter of James Timmons and Esther Storm Timmons. She married Jack Reniche on Feb. 20, 1954 at Mattoon, IL; he survives. She was had retired from General Telephone. She was a member of the American Business Women Association, OSF St. Joseph Auxiliary and a volunteer. She had attended Brown's Business College.

Mary was a caring and loving wife, mother, sister and friend.

Kenneth Williamson

FINDLAY - Kenneth D. Williamson, 46, of Findlay, died at 7:43 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 8, 2001) at his residence.

A private memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Lockart and Sons Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with the Rev. Jeff Browning officiating.
