BETHANY - Lucille M. Klinebough, 69, of Bethany, died at 1:05 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 31, 2002) at Sullivan Health Care.
The graveside funeral will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Marrowbone Township Cemetery, Bethany. There will be no visitation.
She was born Nov. 30, 1932, in Lovington, the daughter of Herman E. and Marie M. Woods Kirkwood. She married William Klinebough in 1985; he died in 1987.
Surviving are two brothers, Jr. Kirkwood of Bethany and Loice Kirkwood of Corpus Christi, Texas; and one sister, Lovina Lane of Lovington.
Mrs. Klinebough was a clerk at the Mt. Zion Kmart Store.

Rosella Rush
EDGEWOOD - Rosella Rush, 78, of Edgewood, died Wednesday (Jan. 30, 2002) in Lexington, Tenn.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pagel Funeral Home, Edgewood. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 4, 1923, in Clay County, the daughter of Clarence J. and Mary A. Jordan Prather. She married Darrel E. "Shorty" Rush in 1942; he died in 1986.
Surviving are two sons, Darrel Rush of Mattoon and Tim Rush of Edgewood; one daughter, Judy Ballinger of Lexington, Tenn.; three sisters, Fern Bee and Janice Prather, both of Mt. Vernon, and Helen Hites of Champaign; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers.
Mrs. Rush was the retired co-owner/operator of the Rushco Shell and was a member of the Edgewood Christian Church.

Alberta Zellers
MATTOON - Alberta Zellers, age 90, of Mattoon, passed away at 1:47 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2002 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home with Reverend Diwan Tiwade officiating. Interment will follow in Dodge Grove Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Alberta Zellers was born October 23, 1911 at Mattoon, Illinois, a daughter of Harvey and Rebecca Patrick Batman. She married William Zellers August 23, 1931 at Charleston, Illinois, he preceded her in death June 25, 1977. Alberta is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Hoots and husband Dale of Mattoon, a sister, Juanita Holmes of Mattoon, a nephew, several great and great-great nieces and nephews, several cousins and two sisters in law. She was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and one nephew.
Mrs. Zellers was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and was active in the Ruth Circle of the First Presbyterian Church in Mattoon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice in lieu of flowers.
Allan Coy
DECATUR - Allan Kent Coy, 70, of Decatur, formerly of the Tuscola and Arcola area, died at 2:40 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 7, 2002) at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Shrader Funeral Home in Arcola. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home and 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Shrader Funeral Home in Arcola. Burial will be in the Arcola Township Cemetery.
He was born March 28, 1931, in Tuscola, the son of Samuel Starrett and Lydia Elton Pond Coy. He married Myra Joy Strader in 1951; she survives.
Other survivors include sons David Coy of Decatur and Kevin Coy of Barton, Vt.; daughters Diana Snyder of Decatur, Karen Stock of rural Moweaqua, Ellen Baker of Bismarck and Erika Dial of Decatur; 14 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
Mr. Coy was a teacher and coach in Marseilles and superintendent of Muddy Consolidated Grade School District near Wheeler. He also worked for Federal Kemper Insurance. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict, a member of the USA Signal Corps Officers Candidate School Association, Korean War Veterans National Museum and Library and the Douglas County Historical Museum.

Bernice N. Dewar
MATTOON - Bernice N. Dewar, age 82, of Mattoon, formerly of Gays, Illinois, passed away at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2002 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2002 at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Herman Niebrugge officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home.
Bernice N. Dewar was born November 12, 1919 at Mattoon, Illinois, a daughter of Claude and Lorene Niemeyer Fleshner. She married Wayne Dewar March 23, 1944 at Mattoon, he preceded her in death August 20, 1998. She was survived by a daughter, Shirleen King and husband Virgil of Mattoon; grand daughters, Christine Latch and Melissa Showalter and husband Andy all of Mattoon. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Bailie Golladay, Macy Golladay, Drew Showalter and Marissa Showalter.
Mrs. Dewar was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. She and her husband owned and operated Dewar's Strawberry and Blueberry Farm near Gays for many years.

WINDSOR - Sarah Jones, 16, of Windsor died at 1:04 p.m. Friday (Feb. 8, 2002) at Carle Hospital in Urbana from injuries received in a vehicular accident.

Rev. Earl D. Liggett
HUMBOLDT, IL - Rev. Earl D. Liggett, 76, of Humboldt died at 2:02 A.M. Thursday at the St. John's Hospital Springfield. Funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Epperson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Billy Hall and Rev. Marion Hampton officiating. Graveside service with military rites will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Brown Cemetery rural Edgewood, IL. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral chapel.
Earl was born March 14, 1925 in Edgewood, IL. He was the son of George and Jessie Leggitt. He married Virginia Jones in 1948. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Virginia of Humboldt; three daughters, Mickey Liggett, Deborah Daugherty and husband Richard, and Leona Kay Liggett all of Humboldt; two brothers, George Liggett and wife Mary of Farina, IL and Evan Liggett and wife Jan of Oregon. Earl is also survived by his 2 dogs, Tyler and Hershey and his cat, Callie.
His parents, 1 brother, Edward and 1 sister, Frankie preceded him in death.
Earl was a member of the Gospel Association in Mo. and a member of the East Side Community Church, where he was an assistant pastor. Earl also did sermons at the Full Gospel Tabernacle church as well. He was a W.W.II Veteran for the U.S. Navy. Besides preaching the gospel, Earl made his living driving a truck for over 40 years. He drove for several different companies; his last was for Christopher M. Walker. Earl really enjoyed working for Christopher M. Walker, the highlight of that job was getting to see and pet Chris's dogs, Mommy Dog, Red Dog, and Betsey. He also enjoyed seeing Chris's cats as well.
Earl was a fun loving person; he had a great sense of humor. He always loved to wear his hats and he always wore a smile. He loved to talk to people and he didn't know a stranger. He had a great personality. He had a great love for gospel music, and a great love for animals. Earl's greatest love was his loving wife and his 3 daughters. Memorial may be made in memory of Earl's life to the Donor's choice.
LILLIAN A. LOVE
CHARLESTON - Lillian A. Love, age 83, of Charleston passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2002 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Services celebrating her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 11 (2002) with Pastor Tom Skinner officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-7 p.m. Services and Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive in Charleston. Following the services, Interment will be held in Mound Cemetery.
Lillian was born March 26, 1918 in West Liberty, Kentucky the daughter of Bill and Bertha (Byrd) Adams. On May 6, 1939 she married Frank (Pete) Love in Charleston, Illinois.
She is survived by two sons, Frank (Pete) Love and his wife Anne of Charleston and Larry Love and his wife Brenda of Rochester, Illinois; four grandchildren, Amy Nowocin and her husband Jim of Plainfield, Illinois, Lisa Love of Charleston, Rob Love and Tom Love both of Rochester; two great-grandchildren, Austin Nowocin and Emily Nowocin of Plainfield; and two brothers, Cork Adams and his wife Wanda of Springfield, Illinois and Dick Adams and his wife Rose of Ypsilanti, Michigan. She was preceded by her husband, Frank (Pete) Love who passed away in 1985; her parents; two brothers, Marvin Adams and Orville Adams; and three sisters, Ruth Shepherd, Marie Ridey and an infant.
Lillian was a member of the First Christian Church in Charleston and Odd-Fellow Rebekah Lodge in Mattoon. She retired from the General Electric lamp plant in Mattoon after earlier being employed with the Charleston Brown Shoe facility. Lillian will be remembered as a kind, gentle and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend whose goodness toward others will serve as an inspiration to many. When not spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she enjoyed gardening.

ARCOLA - Jair Alejandro Marcos, infant son of Marco and Jovana Gonzalez Marcos of Arcola, was stillborn at 10:44 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 6, 2002) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. today at the Arcola Cemetery with the Rev. Joseph Allen officiating. Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. today at the Shrader Funeral Home in Arcola.
