James R. Gleyre, 66, of Pontiac, Mich. and formerly of Carrier Mills, died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac.
He was born Jan. 22, 1934, in Carrier Mills, to Louie and Minnie (Bundren) Gleyre.
He married the former Patricia Rice Sept. 18, 1953. She survives.
He worked for Detroit Broach in Rochester Hills, Mich. for 27 years and later retired from P.T.I. in Madison Heights, Mich. after 12 years of service.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Rick Gleyre and wife Cheri of Davisburg, Mich.; a daughter, Tina and husband Brian Miller of Waterford, Mich.; a sister, Mary Sweat of Clarkston, Mich.; a mother-in-law, Violet Rice; a brother-in-law, Loy Rice and wife Eileen Rice of Oak Forest; and four grandchildren, Tony and Steve Miller and Rob and Danielle Gleyre.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dickie Gleyre.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2 at Absher-Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Ed Balestrieri officiating.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills.
The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Cranbrook Hospice or St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Cancer Center.

Mona R. Moor
Mona R. Moor, 69, of Albion, formerly of Hardin County, died 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind.
Mrs. Moore was a retired U.S. Forest Service timber assistant and a board member of the Southern Illinois Art Association.
She is survived by three daughters, Kim and husband, Ivan Gaston of Albion, Patricia and husband, Butch Beaver of Golconda, Shawn and husband, Jimmy Vaughn of Herrin; one sister, Gayle Klincke of Hattiesburg, Miss.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Lola (Burklow) Rendleman; and one brother, Maurice Rendleman.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at Hosick Funeral Chapel in Rosiclare, with the Rev. Larry Music officiating.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday Sept. 28, at the Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at Hosick Funeral Chapel in Rosiclare.
Burial is in Cave Hill Cemetery in Cave-in-Rock.

Donald Fleming, 83, of Casa Grande, Ariz., formerly of Grantsburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at the Chandler Regional Hospital in Chandler, Ariz.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at Gilead Cemetery in Simpson, with the Rev. Noland Smith officiating.
Graveside Masonic rites are by Ganntown Masonic Lodge.
There is no visitation, and those attending should go directly to the cemetery.

Helen Marie Baker
Helen Marie Baker, 79, of 423 S. Ledford St., Harrisburg, died 8:05 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at her residence.
She was born March 7, 1921, in the Walnut Grove Community of Saline County to John and Cora (Stone) Mann.
She married J. B. Baker Nov. 2, 1940. He survives.
Visitation is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at Reed Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ron Simpson officiating.

Mrs. Baker was a homemaker and member of McKinley Avenue Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Ronald J. and wife Glenda Baker of Ridgway; a brother Huland Mann of Pontiac, Mich.; a sister Gladys Chapdelaine of Pontiac, Mich.; a grandson Kevin and wife Andrea Baker of Mt. Vernon; and a great-grandchild Morgan Baker of Mt. Vernon.
Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Johnny Mann, and a sister Myrtle Hunt.
Reba Hughes
Reba Hughes, 96, of Galatia died 7 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at the home of her nephew, Keith Deal in Galatia.
She was born May 21, 1904, in Raleigh, to George and Katie (Haynes) Thornberry.
She married Lawrence "Hoss" Hughes on December 24, 1924.
He preceded her in death April 12, 1980.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time Friday, Oct. 6, at Sloan Funeral Home of Galatia.

Mrs. Hughes attended the First Baptist Church of Galatia.
She is survived by two sisters Georgia Raybourn of Raleigh; and Ruth Deal of Galatia; a nephew, Keith Deal and wife, Betty of Galatia; a niece, Marilyn Lane of Harrisburg; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, one sister, and a nephew-in-law Dan Lane.
Ruth Marie Baird
Ruth Marie Baird, 52, of Orlando, Fla., and formerly of this area, died 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
She was born Sept. 8, 1948, in Eldorado to Gerald and Mary (Taylor) Bradley.
She married Larry Baird Oct. 9, 1972. He survives.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at Watson Funeral Home.
Burial is at Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado.

Mrs. Baird was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, her mother-in-law Loretta Baird; a sister Debbie Allen; two sons, Devon and Justin of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Amber and Ashley of Orlando, Fla.; and a granddaughter Marissa of Orlando, Fla.
Her father preceded her in death.

Earl W. 'Gar' Morse
Earl W. "Gar" Morse, 85, of 190 Old Cain Road, Harrisburg, died 11:35 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, at Carrier Mills Nursing Home.
He was born June 24, 1915, in Harrisburg, to Richard and Talitha (Meler) Morse.
He married Lucy Ford on Sept. 15, 1945. She survives.
Mr. Morse will be cremated and a memorial service with military honors will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2000 at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg. The Rev. Herb Goeltzer will officiate.
Mr. Morse was Presbyterian by faith.
He was employed as a meter tester at REA, Southeastern Illinois Electrical Co-op.
He served in the Navy submarine base in western Australia during WWII.
He was a lifetime member and past commander of the Harrisburg American Legion and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Greg Morse of Carrier Mills; two daughters, Sandy and husband, Randy Cushist of Harrisburg, Karen Morse of Harrisburg; two granddaughters, Tara Cushist of Harrisburg, and Tracy Morse of Harrisburg; and a great-grandson, Brett Lee Morse of Harrisburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and one brother.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation and may be left at Gaskins Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
Robert Haynes
Robert Haynes, 78, of 2315 Highway 142 South, Eldorado, died 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at his daughter's home in Equality.
He was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Terre Haute, Ind., to the late Otis and Mary (Balding) Haynes.
He married Evelyn Maxine Hooker on December 17, 1945.
She preceded him in death Jan. 12, 1995.
Visitation is 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, at Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality.
Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, at Vickery Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. Gary Hays will officiate.
Burial is in Elmwood Cemetery in Equality.
Military services will be provided by McLain-Glover American Legion Post No. 595 of Equality.
Mr. Haynes was a retired coal miner for Peobody Mines.
He was an Army veteran of WWII.
He is survived by two sons Billy (Carolyn) Haynes of Sparta, Jeff Haynes of Equality; four daughters Patty (Larry) Bingham of Baldwin, Peggy (Richard) Bayer of Equality, Sandy (Bill) Harrelson of Equality, Robin (Steve) Waddle of Equality; a brother Dick Haynes of California; a sister Barbara Catterson of Terre Haute, Ind.; 12 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters and six brothers.
