James Clarkson Jr., 80, of McLeansboro, died 10:25 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.
Visitation is 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at Valahalla Cemetery in Belleville.
Mr. Clarkson is survived by his wife, Adeline Clarkson; one son; one daughter; one sister; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Rhonda Hicks
Rhonda Hicks, 60, of 4126 Brandy Lane, Salem, Ill. 62881, died Friday morning, Feb. 2, 2001, at her home after a long illness.
She was the wife of Melvin Hicks who was born and raised in Harrisburg and the daughter-in-law of the late Granville (Jeff) and Gladys Abney Hicks of Harrisburg.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two children, Debbie Stokes of Springfield, Curt Hicks of Indianapolis, Ind.; three grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Judy (PeeWee) Horning of Harrisburg; Venita Tanner of Harrisburg; Phyllis (Charles) Gray of Sanford, N.C.; and several brothers and sisters of Canada, where Rhonda was born.
Arrangements are pending at the Rankin Funeral Home of 310 N. Broadway, Salem.
William 'Bill' Clardy
William "Bill" Clardy, 69, of Eddyville, died 9:13 a.m. Feb. 1, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital of Evansville, Ind.
He was born August 18, 1931, in Jonesboro to William Franklin and Cora Jane (Ralls) Clardy.
He married Elvira Naccaroto Clardy.
She preceded him in death on Oct. 22, 1989.
Visitation is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville.
Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, at the funeral home.
The Rev. John Bailey will officiate.
Burial is in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Eddyville.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Cedar Grove Church.
Mr. Clardy was employed a maintenance laborer for Millstone Water District in Eddyville.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by three sons, Steve (Wendy) Clardy of Delavan, Wis.; William "Bill" (Shelly) Clardy of Pontiac, Larry Clardy of Pontiac; a sister, Emma Boetcher of Edwardsburg, Mich.; and one grandchild.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Herman Lee Clardy.
Jerry Cletus Hafford
Jerry Cletus Hafford, 61, of 406 Boyd St., Eldorado, died 9:45 a.m. Feb. 1, 2001, in Indianapolis, Ind.
He was born June 15, 1939, in Eldorado to the late Glen and Bertha (Partin) Hafford.
He married the former Lovella June Hutchison.
She preceded him in death.
Graveside service is 11 a.m. at Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado.

He was a member of the American Legion and the Eagles.

Helen Travelstead Moss
Helen Travelstead Moss, 88, of Harrisburg, died 5 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2001, at her home.
She was born Nov. 2, 1912, in Carrier Mills, the first child of Will F. and Anna Puckett Davis.
She married Loren Travelstead in 1933.
She married William P. Moss in 1958.
He preceded her in death.
Helen was a homemaker and worked for many years as a nurse's aid at Country Club Manor.

Norma Jean Logan, 72, of Broughton, died 8:45 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 9, 1929, in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Eugene and Ruth (Small) Reynolds.
She married George Logan July 5, 1947, in Galatia. He survives.
Norma was employed as a seamstress for Elders Shirt Factory in McLeansboro from 1956 to 1977.
She attended New Salem Church.

Mary was the widow of I.B. Stricklin.

Ruth Bernice Patton
Ruth Bernice Patton, 77, Hwy 146, Elizabethtown, died 6:15 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2001, at Hardin County General Hospital.
She was born July 14, 1923, in Harrisburg.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse and Grace Harris.
Her husband was Thomas Patton, who survives.

Ruth was the Saline County coordinator for Red Cross and was the Chairperson over the Blood Drive for several years.
She was also the former director of Harrisburg National Bank and First State Bank of Elizabethtown.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Patton, Elizabethtown; stepdaughter, Elouise Patton, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Patton, Elizabethtown; granddaughter, Ida Patton, Elizabethtown; grandson, Tom Patton, Elizabethtown; and great-grandchildren, Leah and Lauryn Patton, Elizabethtown.
She is preceded in death by two husbands, Marion Whitley and John Howell Pruett; her parents, Jesse and Grace Harris; and stepson, Bill Patton.

She was born March 14, 1931, in Saline County.
She was the daughter of Paul and Elizabeth (Durfee) Pankey, who preceded her in death.
She was married to Wayne Headrick, who survives.

Georgia was a retired nurse.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Dean.
