She is survived by her mother, one daughter, and two brothers.
Mildred Fromm
Mildred Fromm, 91, 13460 New Market Rd., Ridgway, died 7:15 a.m Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at Fountain View Nursing Home, Eldorado.
She was born May 15, 1910, in Shawneetown, the daughter of the late Marion and Susie (Litney) Kent.
She married Michael A. Fromm on Jan. 16, 1945, who preceded her in death March 26, 2001.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at Vickery Funeral Chapel, Shawneetown.
The Rev. Ron Johnson will officiate.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at the funeral home.
Burial is in St. Joseph Cemetery, Ridgway.
Mildred was a homemaker.
She is survived by nieces, Joann (Gerald) Mahan, Harrisburg and Mary (Ron) Abell, Ridgway; nephews, James L. "Jim" (Shelley) Patton, Sidell, Guy (Cindy) Smith, Evansville, and Leroy (Patricia) Reinhart, Evansville, Ind.; brothers or sisters, Orval (Nancy) Kent, S.D., Reba Melemore, Calif., Virginia (Glen) Black, Tucson, Ariz., Ruby (Durad) Oxford, Rolling Meadows, Bill Johnson, Evansville, Ind., and Robert Johnson, Tucson, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael A. Fromm; four sisters, Mary Elizabeth Smyth, Grace Johnson, Anna Marie Drone and twin sister, Maggie Patton; two brothers, Edgar and Luther Kent.
Charles W. 'Bob' Cletcher
Charles W. "Bob" Cletcher, 76, Marion, died 1:35 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
He was born March 18, 1925, the son of the late Raleigh O. and Lois Ann (Robbs) Cletcher.
He married Jean Colbert, Dec. 13, 1952, who survives.
Graveside service will precede burial 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, at Levell Hill Cemetery, Junction.

Charles was a contractor and a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a Baptist by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Cletcher, Marion; sisters, Helen Peak, Brownfield, and Frances Elder, Brownfield; nephews, Dwayne (Kathy) Peak, Brownfield, and Bobby Peak, Galatia; niece, Pamela (Lewis) Murphy, Fla.
He was preceded by his parents and one brother, J.W. (Wilburn) Cletcher.
Robert Loderback
Robert Loderback, 58, 687 Fifth St., Omaha, died 9:56 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at Ferrell Hospital, Eldorado.
He was born Feb. 26, 1943, in Eldorado, the son of the late Offa and Kathryn (Vaughn) Loderback, who survives.
He was married to Beverly Gidcumb on Aug. 5, 1967, who survives.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at Vickery Funeral Chapel, Omaha.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001.

Robert was a truck driver for BiPetro, Inc.
He was a deacon and member of Eldorado Social Brethren Church.
Robert is survived by wife, Beverly Loderback, Omaha; mother, Kathryn Loderback, Omaha; daughter, Glenda (Jeff) Fleck, Norris City; son, Gerald Loderback, Omaha; sisters, Mary Swears, Omaha, and Janet (Deon) Woods, Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, James Loderback.
The Rev. Harry R. Ferrell
The Rev. Harry R. Ferrell, 94, Rosiclare, passed away 4:38 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, in Western Baptist Hospital, Paducah, Ky.
The Rev. Ferrell was a retired minister and was a resident of the Rosiclare Health Care Center, Rosiclare.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at Hosick Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. Ronald Ledbetter will officiate.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2001.

He is survived by his son, Ed Ferrell, Juno, Alaska; sister, Hazel Gonger, Rosiclare; several nieces and nephews and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Val and Laura (Stacey) Ferrell; sisters, Mabel Partain, Molly Jackson and Hattie McDaniel; brothers, Otis, Randall, Norman and Russell Ferrell; and his wife, Stella Ferrell.
David M. Moore
David Martin Moore, 60, St. Augustine, Fla., formerly of Harrisburg, died 4 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at St. Luke's - Mayo Hospital, Jacksonville, Fla.
He was born April 13, 1941, in Harrisburg, to Rollie A. and Ethel (Martin) Moore, who survive.
He was the beloved husband of Audrey (Ridge) Moore, who also survives.
The body has been cremated.
A celebration of David's life will be held at Church on the Rock, St. Augustine, Fla., Tuesday, Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. Kotrady-Hudgins-Croyle Funeral Home, St. Augustine, Fla. is in charge of arrangements.
Local arrangements are in the charge of Gaskins Funeral Home.
David was a long term employee of Northrup Grumman Corporation and a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was a member of Church on the Rock, St. Augustine, Fla.
David was an avid sports fan and enjoyed all sports.
David graduated from Harrisburg Township High School, Class of 1959, and was active in many school activities.
He served as manager of the basketball and baseball teams; manager and treasurer of the HI-Y club; Keystone staff; and Prom Committee. In addition to his wife and parents, David is survived by three sons, Daryl, Alan, and Bradley, all of St. Augustine, Fla.; two step-sons, Eric and Alain; and three step-daughters Carole, Cathy and Carmen.
He is also survived by two brothers, Chuck Moore, Dallas, Texas, and Tom Moore, Westville, N.J., one sister, Kathy Farmer, Dallas, Texas; and 11 grandchildren.

Calvin Gene Thompson
Calvin Gene Thompson, 70, Rosiclare, died 7:21 p.m. Aug. 13, 2001 at his residence.
He married the former Juanita Asbell, who survives.
Funeral service is 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001 at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare.
The Rev. Roy Baker will officiate.

Clyde Layman
Clyde Layman, 93, died at Victory Hospital, Waukegan, of cardiac arrest after sustaining a broken hip on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001.
He was born in Mitchellsville, on Jan. 10, 1908, to Florence Emma Duncan Layman and James Matthew Layman.
He was the second youngest of 10 children born to this family and the last sibling to pass into eternal life.
The Layman siblings were Nora, Arlie, Walter, Ralph, Anna, Raymond, Margie, Harry, Clyde and James. Family history research has documented that the Womble mountain range in Illinois is named for Simon and Delilah Womble, relatives to Clyde's mother's family.
He leaves many loving relatives and friends from the Layman, Dempsey, Furlong, Spurlock, Pankey, Hancock, Henshaw, Duncan, Bryan, Shelton, Smith, Evans, Asbell, Johnson, Adams, Thedos, Ebberhardt, Sachs, Scheman, Lee, Lob and Brachman families.
Clyde was nicknamed "HAP" all his life for his happy disposition.
He was baptzed and confirmed in January 1960 and a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Grace Church in Waukegan. He served with distinction in the United States Air Force and United States Army in Europe and the Far East.
He was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for valor in combat in France and during Omaha Beach.
Clyde was involved in the Berlin Air Lift and gave his own rations to refugees.
He served at many military posts in the United States, Europe and Asia.
He was a strong, compassionate and honorable soldier all his life.
He suffered military wounds, but never complained about lifelong pain discomfort from them.
Upon military retirement, he worked at Downey Veterans Hospital in North Chicago for over 30 years and earned many recommendations for superior performance on the job.
He was a generous contributor to Veteran causes and kept memberships with the Third Armed Division, American Legion, and VFW posts.
A favorite military memory of Clyde's was when he graciously assisted the famous aviator, Charles Lindbergh, during a visit to Clyde's base in St. Louis.
Clyde was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Gerlinde Lob Layman, whom he married in Munich, Germany in October 1955 while serving at Landsberg, Germany post.
His daughter, Arlene Frances, died in July 1978 and he suffered his wife and daughter's death very deeply.
He is survived by oldest daughter, Marianne Layman Brachman, and husband (Daniel) of Waukegan and two beloved grandchildren, Jarret Matthew Brachman, wife (Erin) of Delaware and Bryn Jane Brachman of Waukegan.
Clyde requested a graveside prayer service only and this will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001 at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Libertyville.
He was buried next to his wife and daughter and is at peace with them.
He would have wanted any memorials to be sent to Immanuel Lutheran School, 1310 Frolic Ave., Waukegan, 60085 where his daughters and grandchildren attended.

At the next Layman Family Reunion in May 2002 in Carrier Mills, Clyde' s memory will be honored.
He loved Southern Illinois and spoke of it often.
