Doris Nell Dardeen, 78, of Muddy, died 11:12 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2002, at Harrisburg Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at Lindale Cemetery.
Those attending should go directly to the cemetery.
There will be no visitation.

She was born August 29, 1923, in Carrier Mills to Cecil E. and Muriel (Reeder) Rice.
On Nov. 16, 1940, she married George R. Dardeen, who survives.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, James Dardeen of Benton; a daughter, Becky (Jim) Schmook of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Mike Schmook, Kelly Dardeen, and Karen Ninis; four great-grandchildren, Cody and Jarod Schmook and Jacob and Adam Ninis; a brother, Joe Rice of Carrier Mills; and a sister, Donna O'Neal of Harrisburg.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Rice; and two brothers and one sister in infancy.
Ralph C. Evetts
Ralph C. Evetts, 70, of Carrier Mills, died 1:05 a.m. Monday, May 27, 2002, at his residence.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. John Dunn officiating.
Burial will be in Henshaw Cemetery near Stonefort.
Military graveside rites will be accorded by the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American Legion Posts.

He was born Jan. 18, 1932, in the Stonefort community in Williamson County, the son of John B. "Brack" and Katie (Cowsert) Evetts.
He was united in marriage to Millie Farris, who preceded him in death.
He was later united in marriage to Willadean (Roark) on Oct. 6, 1989, in Morganfield, Ky., and she survives.
Ralph was a retired asphalt truck driver.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union in Gary, Ind.
He was a graduate of the Henshaw Public School.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War.
He was a 34-year member of the Carrier Mills American Legion Post and a life member of the Creal Springs VFW Post.
Ralph enjoyed auto mechanic work and reading Western novels.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife and children.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, John Evetts of Gary, Ind.; a daughter, Deborah Kidd of Carrier Mills; seven stepchildren; nine grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 24 step-grandchildren; four great-step-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene King of Carrier Mills and Dorothy (Walter) Chaffin of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by a son, Charles Evetts; four step-grandchildren; and two brothers, Charles and Robert Evetts.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Henshaw Cemetery.
Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Zelma Louise Owens
Zelma Louise Owens, 84, of rural Route 1, Golconda, died 3:20 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2002, at her residence.
Services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at Aly Funeral Home in Golconda with the Rev. Allen Speer and the Rev. Billy Green officiating. Burial was in Prospect Cemetery west of Golconda.
Visitation was after 6 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2002, at the funeral home.
She was born August 17, 1917, in Pope County to George and Ivy (Davis) Dunning.
She was the widow of Alfred Owens, who preceded her in death on August 2, 1997.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Golconda.
She is survived by a son, Bill (Donna) Owens of Golconda; two grandchildren, Joe (Renee) Owens and Kathy (Tim) Simmons, both of Golconda; a brother, James Dunning of Golconda; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by seven sisters and one brother.

William Keating, 72, of Jonesboro, Ark., died 12:10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in East Memphis, Tenn.
Services were held 10 a.m. Monday, May 27, 2002, at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating.
Burial was in the Raleigh Masonic Cemetery in Raleigh.

He was born Oct. 24, 1929, in Eldorado to M.J. and Mary (Milligan) Keating.
He was married to Betty Jean Oglesby Keating, who survives.
He was a retired field supervisor at Halliburton Oil Well Services and a member of Magnolia Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Ark.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, William Michael Keating of Harrisburg; a daughter, Deborah Jean Rennels of Jonesboro, Ark.; a brother, Michael Keating of New Johnsonville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Holly Rennels Cockrell of Jonesboro, Scott Anthony Rennels of Jonesboro, Tyler Shea Rennels of Jonesboro, Kristopher Michael Keating of Harrisburg, Patrick William Keating of Harrisburg; and a great-grandchild, Christopher Cade Cockrell of Jonesboro.

Peggy Ann Lukancic, 67, of 800 S. Granger St., Harrisburg, died 4:55 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2002, at her residence.
In keeping with her wishes, her body will be cremated and a graveside memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2002, at Brushy Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Johnson officiating and Terry Maynard assisting.
She was born Oct. 26, 1934, in Carrier Mills to the late Clarence and Edith (Hill) Osburn.
On April 9, 1966, she married William "Bill" Lukancic, who survives.
She was an interior decorator and a member of McKinley Avenue Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Jeff (Lisa) Fisher of Evansville, Ind.; a daughter, Jane Lukancic of Kenosha, Wis.; a stepdaughter, Lori (Les) Palmer of Carterville; two brothers, Fred Osburn of Jacksonville and Clarence Osburn Jr. of Carrier Mills; and eight grandchildren, Matt Fisher, Lee Palmer, Courtney Palmer, Cody Duncan, Alexandria Vasquez, Tatiana Vasquez, Malaki Newby, and Heather Nally.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, Jim, and Ron Osburn.

Clifford Beanum Morris
Clifford Beanum Morris, 75, of 417 S. Kingshighway, Sikeston, Mo., formerly of Ridgway, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002, at his home.
He was born July 12, 1926, to Clifford Keasler and Eva May (Justice) Morris, who preceded him in death.
On May 20, 1950, he married Carol Maxine White of Chaffee, who survives.
Mr. Morris, a veteran of WWII, was a 50-year Mason.
He was also a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Sikeston Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Elks, Eagles, and the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston.
Mr. Morris also served as a State Farm agent for 35 years and was selected in the mid-1970s to represent State Farm as its featured agent in its national magazine advertising campaign.
Besides his wife, Mr. Morris is survived by three children, Dr. Clifford B. (Christine) Morris Jr. of Eldorado; Teresa Morris and her husband Dan Kelleher of Boerne, Texas; and Kenneth Lee (Charlotte) Morris of St. Charles, Mo.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, including Clifford III "Kip" Morris of San Francisco, Tiffany Morris of Overland Park, Kan., Bethany Morris of Eldorado, Blaine (Sherri) Morris of Austin, and Valerie and Marshall Morris of St. Charles.
He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, Edgar (Margaret) Morris of Mobile, Alabama, Dr. David (Nannette) Morris of Sikeston, Ruby (Orville) Lankford of Memphis, Tenn., and Pearl (Adolph) DeBoard of Wood River.
He was preceded in death by one brother, R.L. Morris of Phoenix, Ariz. and two sisters, Carrie Raben of Ridgway and Opal Nicholson of Memphis.
Blanchard Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of the arrangements.
There will be visitation 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2002 with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.
A luncheon will be held at the Sikeston First United Methodist Church at noon Thursday, June 6, 2002, with the funeral at 2 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be in Memorial Park in Sikeston.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston.
