Gale D. Aulabaugh, 73, of Alton, died Sept. 15, 1997, in Alton Memorial. He was owner of Coachman Oil Co., from which he retired in 1986, and had started Scoot's Convenience Store in Alton. He married Marilyn J. Roberts, who survives. Also surviving are daughters, Kathie Schrier of Shipman, and Jane Pollard of Wood River; sons, Richard of Alton, and Tim of Edwardsville; a sister, Jackie Dyslin of California, a brother, Wendall of Alton; and 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were through Burke-Fine and Quinn. Memorials may be given to the Bells of St. Mary's Restoration Fund, the Catholic Children's Home and the American Heart Association.
