Francis J. Hogan, 60, of Alton, died Dec. 26, 1999, in his home. He married Rebecca Boedeker, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Arah Morgan; step-father, James Morgan; a son, Francis, II, of Alton; and a step-brother, Kevin Morgan of Alton. Services were in Gent Funeral Home in Alton.

Hogan 03/15/01
David S. Hogan, 60, of Alton, died Mar. 15, 2001, in Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis County. Surviving are a friend, Billie Beets and her children, James Beets of Buffalo Grove, and Jane Rowden of Godfrey; and a brother, Brian of Chicago. Services were in Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to Abundant Life Christian Center.

Hogue 05/24/97
Irma Dorothy Hogue, 73, of Alton, died May 24, 1997, in Christian Hospital Northeast. Her husband, Edward, survives. Also surviving is a step-son, Brian of Alton. Services were through Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville.

Edward C. Hogue, 87, of Alton, died Nov. 21, 1999, in Alton Memorial Hospital. He married Kathrine Beneze, and then Irma Wieghard, both of whom preceded him in death. Surviving are a son, Brian of Alton; and a sister, Myrtle Leamy of Petaluma, Ca. Services were through Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to Evangelical United Church of Christ in Godfrey, and Franklin Masonic Lodge 25 in Alton.

John W. Hohnsbehn, 67, of Wilsonville, died Oct. 17, 1998, in Saint Clare's Health Center in Alton. He married Leona Spurgeon, who survives. Also surviving are sons, John of East Alton, and Bruce of Wilsonville; a daughter, Terry Smith of East Alton; a foster-son, Gene Kline of Carlinville; and sisters, Emma Albers and Mary Steward, both of Wilsonville, and Ruth Caffery of Cottage Hills. Services were through Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton.

Connie A. Holbert, 52, of East Alton, died Dec. 17, 1998, in St. Louis University Hospital. She had worked for the City of Wood River, and its Belk Park Golf Course, for 26 years. She is survived by her husband, Jerry; mother, Ann Ballman of Wood River; a son, Rob Royse of Bethalto; a step-son, Jason Holbert of St. Louis; and brothers, Paul Howell of Marion, and Marvin Howell of Papillion, Ne. Services were through Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Bethalto. Memorials may be given to United Presbyterian Church in Wood River.

David A. Holden, 45, of Alton, died Dec. 17, 2000, in his home. He married Nancy Sheary, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mary of Godfrey; a son, Michael of Alton; a daughter, Erin Hansen of Alton; and brothers, Chris of Godfrey, and Danny of Wilsonville. Services were in Gent Funeral Home in Alton.

William R. Holden, Sr., 77, of Godfrey, died May 31, 2001, in his home. He married Eugenia Clifford, who survives. Also surviving are six sons, two daughters, and one brother. Services were through Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey, and the Alzheimer's Association.

George R. Holford, 83, of Alton, died Apr. 30, 1998, in Rosewood Care Center in Alton. He married Florence Secor, who preceded him in death. Surviving is a half brother, Howard Darr of Carrollton; and nieces and nephews. Services were in Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to the Alton Area Animal Aid Association.

Lynn W. Holford, 75, died Feb. 6, 2000, in Rosewood Care Center in Alton. He married Florence Grant, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Steven of East Alton; a daughter, Brenda French of Godfrey; and a brother, Forest of Denver, Co. Services were in Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton. Gloria L. Holland, 77, of Wood River, died Jan. 15, 1998, in V.I.P. Manor. Surviving are a brother, John of East Alton; and sisters, Joan Ford and Kathy Roades, both of Wood River, Shirley Frakes and Delores Copley, both of Godfrey, and Charlotte O'Hara of Sun City West, Az. Pearl R. Homm, 94, formerly of Bethalto, died Sept. 14, in V.I.P. Manor Nursing Home in Wood River. Her husband, Harry, preceded her in death. Surviving are daughters, Verline Aljets of Holiday Shores, and Ruth O'Neal of Titusville, Fl.; a sister, Alice Edwards of Bethalto; and eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren. Services were through Elias-Smith in Bethalto.

Estil Ivan Hood, 59, of Brighton, died May 16, 1998, in his home. He married Jackie Schmoeller, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Michelle Hood of Wood River; sons, Wayne and Joshua, both of Brighton; a brother, Charles of Brighton; and sisters, Norma Finchem of Brighton, Tessie Saunders of Wood River, Dorothy Dugan and JoAnn McGlynn, both of Cliffside Park, N. J., Ruby Davis and Shirley Rose, both of Ripley, Tn., and Sue Sturgiss of Citra, Fl. Services were through Targhetta.
