Quentin D. Hopkins, 79, of Godfrey, died Feb. 12, 1999. He married Clarisse Misicka, who survives. He was an administrator with Laclede Steel Co. prior to his retirement. Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey of Alton; daughters, Jill Young and Amy Murray, both of Godfrey; brothers, Jesse of Grafton, Robert of San Diego, Ca., Rex of Falls Church, Va., Gerald of Indian Wells, Ca., Mark of Rolla, Mo., and Anthony of Indianapolis, In.; and sisters, Hope Coleman of San Diego, and Linda Nagel of Lee's Summit, Mo. Services were in Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Godfrey. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, and Saint Clare's Hospital Adult Day Care.

He was an optician, and owned and operated McClintock Optical Service for 35 years, was active in the Exchange Club, and was a member of the Alton Civil Service Commission for 10 years. Also surviving are a daughter, Phyllis Fetner of Dallas, Tx.; and sons-in-law, Bill Cunningham of Fulton, Mo., and Capt. Timothy Reichert of Connecticut. Services were through Burke-Fine Funeral Home in Alton.

George William Hornsey, Jr., 71, died Aug. 21, 1997. He married Betty Roberts, who survives. He was owner of Hornsey Moving and Storage Co. in Wood River. Also surviving are daughters, Georgia Voils of Godfrey, and Theresa Henkhaus and Deborah Lorch, both of Alton; sons, George, Frederick and Charles, all of Alton, Richard of Godfrey, Ronald of Chicago, and James of Liberty, Il.; a brother, Robert of Alton; and 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
