Naomi H. Bowen, 86, of Godfrey, died Jan. 2, 1998, in Jersey Community Hospital. Her husband, Lloyd, preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, Don Gilworth of Jerseyville; and one grandchild. Services were in Gent. Memorials may be given to the Shriners Hospital.

Kenneth C. Bowers, 50, formerly of Alton, died July 9, 1997, in Henderson, Ky. He married Julia A. Booth, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Matthew of Henderson; a daughter, Allison of Henderson; a brother, Glenn of St. Charles, Mo.; and sisters, Myra Miles of Houston, Tx., and Judith Greene of Delhi. Services were in Gent. L. Y. Cahill Lucille Y. Cahill, 89, of Alton, died July 1, 1997, in Saint Anthony's. Her husband, Joseph, preceded her in death. Surviving is a son, Joseph, Jr., of San Francisco, Ca. A memorial service was through Gent.

James Barnett Bowles, 86, of Alton, died May 29, 1998, in Colonaides Nursing Home in Granite City. He married Madge Schwartz, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Beverly Cannon of Isanti, Mn. Services were through Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Dorothy Louise Bowles, 69, of Alton, died Oct. 24, 2000, in D'Adrian Convalescent Center in Godfrey. Her husband, James, survives. Also surviving are a son, Frank, Sr., of Alton; and brothers, Earl and Frank Johnson, both of Godfrey. Services were in Fine and Quinn Chapel for Funerals in Alton.

Nellie Bowman, 82, of Medora, died Aug. 19, 1997, in Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home. She is survived by her husband, Kedral. Her first husband, Robert Cunningham, preceded her in death. Also surviving are sons, Tom and Bob Cunningham, both of Medora, and Ronald Cunningham of Plainview; daughters, Mary Cameron of Medora, and Rita Brown of Gillespie; sisters, Evelyn McGraw of Ottawa, Il., and Mary Johnson of Florida; a brother, Paul Moran of Brighton; and 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Services were in Targhetta Funeral Home in Medora. Memorials may be given to the Shrine organization and for masses.

Oscar W. Bowman, 76, of Alton, died Dec. 4, 1998, in Saint Anthony's Health Center in Alton. He is survived by a brother, Oliver of Fenton, Mo. Services were in Gent Funeral Home in Alton.

Also surviving are his parents, Robert Bowman, and James and Donna Sohn; a son, Chase at home; a daughter, Jennifer at home; and sisters, Becky Stewart of Brighton, and Patty Guthrie, Christine Sohn and Jamie Hilliard, all of Bethalto. Services were in Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Bethalto.

Terry Dale Boxdorfer, 34, of Bethalto, died Nov. 26, 1999, in Alton Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Reva; a sister, Vickie Watson of Alton; and a brother, Danny of Meadowbrook. Services were in Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Bethalto.

Ivy M. Boyd, 86, died Jan. 23, 1997. Her husband, Edwin, preceded her in death. Louis Bracht, Jr., 79, of Alton, died Dec. 2, 1998, in Alton Memorial Hospital. He married Marion Bothwell, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Marcia Haun of Bethalto; sons, Mark of Fairview Heights, and Michael of Auburn, Al.; and a brother, Melvin of East Alton. Services were through Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to the Masonic Lodge, the VFW, and to charities of choice.

Surviving are sons, Steven of Pacific Grove, Ca., and Brian of Alton; a daughter, Dr. Myra Schached; a brother, John Waggoner of Alton; and a sister, Ruth Means of Fosterburg. Services were in Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.

John E. Bramley, Sr., 73, of Brighton, died June 21, 1997, in Saint Anthony's Hospital in Alton. He married Frances Howard, who survives. Also surviving are a son, John of Brighton; daughters, Frances Groves of Brighton, and Carolyn Rutledge of Shipman; a sister, Ruth Mault of Missouri; and three grandchildren. Services were in Targhetta Funeral Home in Brighton. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association and the Brighton Firefighters Fund.
