Norma E. Farmer, 96, died Mar. 30, 1997. She is survived by cousins, Evaline Dunkel of Godfrey, and Cecil Voyles of Sorento, Il. Services were through Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Godfrey. Memorials may be given to Evangelical United Church of Christ in Godfrey.

Fassero 06/11/98
James L. Fassero, 62, of Brighton, died June 11, 1998, in Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. He married Jeannette Cooper, who survives. Also surviving are daughters, Lee Tardino of Wood River, and Teresa Fassero of Gillespie; and two grandchildren. Services were through Marks. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.

William N. Fatchett, 89, of Alton, died Feb. 3, 1999, in Alton Memorial Hospital. He married Dorothy Best, who survives. Also surviving are sons, Larry of Alton, and Kenneth Best of Marietta, Ga.; daughters, Sue Reis of Elsah, and Rose Foiles of Shipman. Services were in Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to Calvary Baptist Church in Alton.

Jessie Faulstich, 88, of Alton, died Sept. 12, 1997, in University Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Her husband, Elmer, preceded her in death. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Services were in Gent. Memorials may be given to the Cancer Society.

Fawcett 09/13/97
Dorothy Fawcett, 85, of Alton, died Sept. 13, 1997, in Los Angeles, Ca. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Buerkle, and is survived by her second husband, Claude. Also surviving are sons, John Buerkle of Lake Forest, Il., and James Buerkle of Dallas, Tx.; step-sons, James and Robert Fawcett, both of Los Angeles; and four grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Services were through Elias-Smith in Alton. Memorials may be given to College Avenue Presbyterian Church in Alton, and the New Piasa Chautauqua.

Penny Sue Fay, 46, of Alton, died Aug. 11, 1998, in Jersey Community Hospital. Her husband, Thomas, survives. Also surviving are her parents, Leslie and Betty Gibson; daughters, Heather Goers and Laura Fay, both of Alton; and brothers, Steve Gibson of Alton, and Les Gibson of Colorado. Services were in Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to the J. B. Johnson Early Childhood Center and the Twelfth Street Presbyterian Church in Alton, Christian Education Fund.

William V. Federle, 71, of Godfrey, died Mar. 3, 1999, in Saint Anthony's Health Center in Alton. He married Peggy Blackketter, who survives. Also surviving are sons, William Federle of Elsah, and Marty Gress of Godfrey; daughters, Melinda Stiltz of Fosterburg, and Milli Hill of Bethalto; brothers, August of Cape Coral, Fl., and Norbert of East Alton; and sisters, Mary Bregenzer of Jersey County, and Velva Jouett and Ann Corwin, both of Alton. Services were in Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to the Treehouse Wildlife Center, and the American Lung Association.

Susan Lee Feldman of Godfrey, died Apr. 15, 1998, in her home. Her husband, William, survives. Also surviving are her mother, Leona Kreider of Alton; and a sister, Sylvia Donovan of Ft. Worth, Tx. Services were through Elias-Smith in Alton. Memorials may be given to the Cancer Society.
