Goeken 12/24/00
Felicia R. Goeken, 73, of Alton, died Dec. 24, 2000, in Saint Anthony's Health Center in Alton. Her husband, George, survives. She was a founder of the National Right to Life Committee. Also surviving are sons, George and John, both of Alton; daughters, Valerie Lewis, Christy Hold, Mary Donahue, Julie Henkhaus, and Anne Hermann, all of Alton; a sister, Marlene Shake of Branson, Mo.; and a sister-in-law, Rosemary Rhoads of Alton. Services were through Fine and Quinn Chapel for Funerals in Alton. Memorials may be given for masses and to the building fund at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton, and the National Right to Life Committee in Washington, D.C.

Goldman 04/27/98
Lola Goldman, 90, of Godfrey, died Apr. 27, 1998, in Blu-Fountain Manor in Godfrey. Her husband, William, preceded her in death. Surviving are daughters, Barbara Smith of Godfrey; Elizabeth Siney of San Lorenz, Ca., and Frances Pedroni of Alameda, Ca.; and 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Services were in Gent. Memorials may be given to Blu-Fountain.

Frances Anna Golenor, 80, of Alton, died Feb. 6, 1999, in Alton Memorial Hospital. Her husband, William, preceded her in death. Surviving are daughters, Marjorie Moretto and Margaret Seight, both of New Mexico; and a sister, Catherine Horvat of Wood River. Services were through Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Alton.

Golike 04/27/97
Betty Lorraine Golike, 69, died Apr. 27, 1997. She is survived by her husband, Donald. Also surviving are sons, Jeffery of Bethalto, and James of Brighton; a daughter, Susanne Morris of Brighton; a sister, Trudy Hays of Chestnut Ridge, N. Y.; and two grandchildren. Services were through Elias-Smith in Alton. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church of Fosterburg.

Goodyear 01/25/97
William L. Goodyear, 96, died Jan. 25, 1997. He married Gladys F. Crowson, who preceded him in death. Surviving are a daughter, Virginia L. Fohrman of Godfrey; a sister, Anna Weindel of Alton; and one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. Services were in Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to the Diabetes Association.

Thomas Lee Goon, 59, of Brighton, died Mar. 23, 2001, in Jersey Community Hospital. He married Thelma Emmons, who survives. Also surviving are daughters, Nancy Tucker of Brighton, Kathy Garcia of Hinkley, and Amanda Leber of DeKalb; and a brother, Larry Locke of Sheldon, Ia. Services were in Targhetta Funeral Home in Brighton. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.

Gordon 10/01/99
Dorotha D. Gordon, 84, died Oct. 1, 1999. Husbands, Henry Snider and Herbert Gordon, preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, Bill Snider of Sorento; and a brother, Dale Dunn of Fairview Heights. Services were in Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be given to East Alton Pentecostal Church.

Gorham 04/03/01
Helen Irene Gorham 89, of Medora, died Apr. 3, 2001, in Jerseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her husband, Paul, preceded her in death. Surviving are daughters, Virginia Smith and Paula Gorham, both of Medora, and Sue Roemer of Missouri; and a sister, Frances Bahr of Jerseyville. Services were through Targhetta Funeral Home in Medora. Memorials may be given to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Medora.

Maurice L. Goring, 83, died Apr. 4, 1997. He married Alvena Kohle, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Marcelene Pisarek of Fosterburg; and two grandchildren. Services were in Elias-Smith in Alton.

Gorman 02/20/97
Thomas J. Gorman, 102, died Feb. 20, 1997. He married Emma Louise Martin, who preceded him in death. Surviving is a brother, Daniel of Alton. Services were through Gent's. Memorials may be given to S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton.

Gosa 12/08/98
Jerome Carzell Gosa, 47, of Alton, died Dec. 8, 1998, in Vencor Hospital in St. Louis. He married Pierette Jones, and she survives. Also surviving are a son, Jerome of Alton; and a grandmother, Malendda Rush of East St. Louis. Services were through Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Alton.

Gosling 08/09/98
Harold R. Gosling, 79, of Godfrey, died Aug. 9, 1998, in DePaul Health Center, St. Louis. He married Dorothy Bowker, who preceded him in death, and married Arlene Renken, who survives. Also surviving are daughters, Sandra Thompson of Alton, and Jan Harris of Godfrey. He had been an executive with the former Alton Water Co., and was active in civic and service organizations. Services were through Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Godfrey. Memorials may be given to the Alton Area Animal Aid Association (5 A's), and First Presbyterian Church in Alton.
