Audrey A. Nagel, nee Mueller, 87, of Waterloo, died Oct. 20, 2010 in Waterloo. She was born June 9, 1923 in Belleville, the daughter of the late Tony and Anna Mueller. Mrs. Nagel is survived by a son, William (Sue) Nottmeier; daughter, Martha (David) Browne; a step-daughter, Iris (Vic) Buettner; grandchildren Christopher, Theresa and Anna Nottmeier; Marc Buettner; and Dawn (Don) Sutter; great-grandchildren Shane Buettner, Abbey Sutter and Amanda Sutter; and special friends Marlene, Margie and Missy. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon Nottmeier; second husband, George Nagel; and grandson, David “Bitts” Buettner. Mrs. Nagel attended SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. A memorial mass will be Saturday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m., at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo with Father Osang Idagbo officiating. Louis Andrew Davis 85 of Smithton, died Oct. 20, 2010 at the Freeburg Care Center. He was born Jan. 10, 1925 in Gorham, the son of the late Hiram Osborn and Minnie (nee McClure) Davis. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary (nee Skidmore) Davis; children Edith “Kathy” (Danny) Eggemeyer of Sparta, Raymond Louis (Gail) Davis of Belleville, William Thomas (Shirley) Davis of Waterloo and Michael Andrew (JoAnne) Davis of Waterloo; grandchildren William Thomas (Jennifer) Davis Jr., Robert Davis, Angela (Robert) Flake, Andrew James Eggemeyer, Joshua Eggemeyer, Brittany Davis, Aaron Williams and Stephanie Davis; great-grandchildren Carlie, Sydnee and Alexandra Davis and Taylor Davis; a brother, Donald (Zella) Davis of Mountain View, Mo.; special niece, Betty (Melvin) Mueller; and caregiver, Connie Zorn; along with nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Kevin Andrew Davis; four sisters; and two brothers. Louis served in the United States Army during World War II. He retired as a material handler for the Union Pacific Railroad. Louis was a member of the Millstadt VFW Post 7980. Visitation is Saturday, Oct. 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Strauss-Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt. Robert D. Bradshaw, 83, of Waterloo, died December 2, 2005, in Alton. He was born April 10, 2005, in Gorham, the son of the late William C. and Gertrude M Bradshaw nee White. He married the late Violet Bradshaw nee Pape in 1944. He is survived by his sisters Thelma Bozarth of Tuscola and Ruth (Robert) Harris of E. Alton; and nephews David Bradshaw, Don Bradshaw, Robert (Judith) Perrin, Alan Bozarth and Fred (Susan) Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Homer Bradshaw and nephew Steven Perrin. Mr. Bradshaw was a retired schoolteacher and a member of Masonic Lodge #787 in Waterloo. He retired from the U.S. Air Force, and was a veteran of World War II. Visitation and funeral services were at Quernheim Funeral Home, Pastor Ivan Horn officiating. He is buried at St. John Cemetery in Maeystown.
Paul T. McDonald, 65, of Freeburg, died December 2, 2005, in Belleville. He was born April 5, 1940, in Belleville, the son of the late Clarence B. and Fleta L. McDonald nee Mitchell. He married Margaret “Missy” McDonald nee Dundon in 1960. He is survived by his wife; sons Colin McDonald, Ryan McDonald and Neill (Niki) McDonald, all of Freeburg; grandchildren Andrew McDonald, Meghan McDonald and Breanna McDonald; brother Tom (Charlotte) McDonald of Freeburg; sisters Jane (Ted) Gale of Freeburg, Sheila (Phil) Richardson of Centralia, Ann (Bruce) Weik of Galesburg, and Mary Melvin of Freeburg; and nieces nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Mary Elizabeth “Libby” McDonald. Mr. McDonald was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Freeburg. He was retired as a coal miner from Peabody Coal and later worked in maintenance at Freeburg Care Center. He was a member of the Freeburg Sportsman’s Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Dorothy Huskey nee Zollner, 85, of Waterloo, died December 2, 2005, in Red Bud. She was born April 7, 1920, in East St. Louis, the daughter of the late Bartholemew and Kathleen Zollner nee Murgatroy. She was married to the late Daniel Huskey. She is survived by her children Daniel Huskey of Colstrip, Mont., Michael (Terisa) Huskey of Waterloo, Patricia (Ron) Caywood of Waterloo, and Thomas (Leslie) Huskey of Coeur d’Alene, Id.; grandchildren Karie (Ron) Kapise, Shelley Caywood, Ryan Caywood, Jennifer Caywood, Amy Huskey (David) White, Shane Huskey, Emily Huskey, Katie Huskey, Jarad Huskey, and Kaylynn Huskey; sister Kathleen (Carl) Harris of Melbourne, Fla.; brothers Eugene Zollner of Bellingham, Wash., and James (Jean) Zollner of Belleville; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Charles A. “Art” Harbison, 70, of Kansas City, formerly of Waterloo, died December 3, 2005, in Kansas City. He was born April 28, 1935, in Banner, Mo., the son of the late Charles A. Harbison and Evelyn Robert nee Walker. He was married to Karen Harbison nee Branson. William C. E. Ehlers, 87, of Columbia, died December 4, 2005, in Columbia. He was born August 15, 1918, in Kimmswick, Mo., the son of the late William A. and Elizabeth Ehlers nee Gebhardt. He married Dorothy H. Ehlers nee Hofstetter in 1947. He is survived by his wife; sons Gary (Gloria) Ehlers of Columbia, and Steven (Mary Ann) Ehlers of San Clemente, Calif.; grandchildren Dianne (John Hoffman of Columbia, Karen (James) Kuppler of Hinckley, Allyson Ehlers of San Clemente, Calif., Brady Ehlers of San Clemente, Calif., and Carter Ehlers of San Clemente, Calif.; nine great-grandchildren; sisters Ellen Eisloefel of Belleville and Erma Ehlers of Belleville; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Ehlers attended St. Paul United Church of Christ in Columbia. He was self-employed as a farmer. He was a member of C & W Co-Op, Columbia Senior Citizens, National Farmer’s Organization, Monroe County Pork Producers and Columbia Gymnastic Association. John P. Guttmann Sr., 89, of Valmeyer, died December 5, 2005, in Belleville. He was born January 24, 1916, in Valmeyer, the son of the late Charles and Anna Guttmann nee Miller. He was married to Helen Guttmann nee Unterseh. He is survived by his wife; son Allan (Catharina “Carin”) Guttmann of Waterloo; grandchildren Darren (Rachael Guttmann, Brent (Renee) Guttmann, and Collena (Timothy) Ahrens; great-grandchildren Connor John Guttmann and Felicity Helen Guttmann; sister Alice Fromme of Wartburg; and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; son John P. Guttmann Jr.; brothers Francis P. He married Shirley Lepp nee Stevenson in 1950 in Kansas City. He is survived by his wife; sons Robert (Pat) Lepp of St. Louis, and Joe (Barb) Lepp of Columbia; grandchildren John (Valerie) Lepp, Merritt (Todd) Derickson, Derrick Lepp, Jennifer Lepp, Christina Lepp, Natalie Lepp and Alex Lepp; four great-grandchildren; brother Charles (Mary) Lepp of Columbia; and sister Margaret Ann (Mike) Conrad of Columbia.
