Ms. Lindsay Beth Taylor
Lindsay Beth Taylor, 15, of Jacksonville died Saturday morning, August 25, 2001 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 12, 1986 in Jacksonville the daughter of John and Sherrie Taylor.
She is survived by her parents of Jacksonville; one sister, Alissa, at home; paternal grandparents Kenneth and Dorothy Taylor of Monmouth; maternal grandparents Richard and Janet Hunter of Aledo; and maternal great-grandmother Marian Hunter of Aledo. Lindsay was loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lindsay was to begin her sophomore year at Jacksonville High School this fall, where she had been an honor roll student her freshman year. S he attended the First Christian Church in Jacksonville and enjoyed boating, swimming, softball, reading, computers, and photography.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at the Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Diamond Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.; Passavant Hospital, or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Mrs. Lois Lee Taylor (Johnson)
Lois Lee Johnson Taylor, 80 of Jacksonville and formerly of Arenzville died Wednesday morning, July 18, 2001 at Passavant Area Hospital.
She was born on August 15, 1920 in Waverly the daughter of Hal and Margaret Albert Johnson. She married William L. Taylor on September 12, 1947 in Arenzville and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lynn (husband, Phil) Gotschall and Marsha Taylor both of Jacksonville; one son, Michael (wife, Sandra) Taylor of Brentwood, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Karie (husband, Jeff) Ingram of Murrayville, two grandsons, Matt Gotschall of Jacksonville and Jeff Taylor of Brentwood, Tennessee; one great granddaughter, Mary Ingram of Brentwood, Tennessee and one sister, Patricia Brockhouse of Scio, Oregon.
Mrs. Taylor was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church.
Private funeral services will be held. Burial will be at Concord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association or the Concord United Methodist Church. The Williamson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Patricia J. Tayon (Lanham)
Patricia J. Tayon, age 59, of Griggsville, Ill. died Saturday morning (August 18, 2001) at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville, Ill..
She was born September 12, 1941 in Pittsfield, Ill. daughter of the late Leonard and Marie Stockwell Lanham.
She married Arthur “Tag” Tayon on September 12, 1959 in Griggsville, Ill. and he preceded her in death on March 18, 1999.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Tim (Kathy) Westfall of Griggsville, Ill. and Mrs. Jim (Jody) Heatherly of Pleasant Hill, Ill.; five grandchildren, Brandi Oitker, Quinette Hobson, Josh and Melissa Westfall all of Griggsville, Ill., and Kendra Westfall of Pleasant Hill, Ill.; three step-grandchildren, Justin, Nathan and Josh Heatherly all of Pleasant Hill, Ill.; two great-grandchildren; her mother and step-father, Marie and Joe Brown of Pittsfield, Ill.; and two sisters, Judy Hemstead of Chamberlain, South Dakota and Mary Dabney and husband Mark of Lakeworth, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Lanham; and one brother, Jim Lanham.
She was a 1959 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She was employed by Pactiv Corporation in Jacksonville, Ill. for over 25 years. She attended the Pittsfield Nazarene Church and enjoyed watching her grandchildren in their sporting activities.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday (August 21, 2001) at the Airsman-Hires Chapel in Griggsville, Ill.. Burial will be in Griggsville Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home where family will meet friends from 6-8 p.m.. Memorials may be made to North Pike EMT’s or to the Griggsville Fire Department.

Mr. Jack J. Thiele
Jack J. Thiele, age 59, of Perry, Ill. died Wednesday morning (February 28, 2001) at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill..
He was born May 5, 1941 in Jacksonville, Ill. son of the late William Dale and Algerine Thompson Thiele.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Andy (Mindy) Hazelrigg of Perry, Ill. and Mrs. Dennis (Robin) Lister of Springfield, Ill.; five grandchildren, Tyler Eveland, Collin Hazelrigg, and Andrea Hazelrigg all of Perry, Ill, Maxwell Lister and Alaina Lister both of Springfield, Ill.; one sister, Linda Bartlett of Springfield, Ill.; two brothers, Joe Thiele and wife Norma of Rochelle, Ill., and Bill W. Thiele and wife Barbara of Perry, Ill.; four nieces, Craig (Debra) Sweet of Dallas, Texas, Jody Bartlett of Springfield, Ill., Mrs. Tom (Jackie) Cuculich of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Scott (Jennifer) Hoffman of Quincy, Ill.; two nephews, Mark Thiele of Seattle, Washington and Jason Bartlett of Perry, Ill..
He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Hailey Eveland; and one nephew, Darin Thiele.
Mr. Thiele graduated Perry High School in 1959 and Loyola University of New Orleans in 1963. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving from 1964 to 1968 and was owner/operator of Jax Company in Perry, Ill. from 1968 until his death. He was a member of the Perry United Methodist Church in Perry, Ill. and was a former member of the Perry Elderly Housing Board. He was also a member of the Perry Masonic Lodge #95 A.F. & A.M. in Perry, Ill., the Perry American Legion Post #1040, Pike County Shrine Club, Ansar Temple in Springfield, Ill., and the Quincy Valley Consistory in Quincy, Ill..
Memorial services will be held 7 p.m. Saturday (March 10, 2001) at the Airsman-Hires Chapel in Griggsville, Ill. with Rev. Dorothy Fellhauer officiating. Masonic services will be held following the memorial service Saturday conducted by the Perry Masonic Lodge #95 A.F. & A.M.. There will be no visitation. Private interment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Perry Masonic Lodge #95.

Mr. Frederick Carl Thixton
Frederick Carl Thixton, age 78, of Manchester, died Tuesday
evening, Oct. 9, 2001 at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.
He was born April 4, 1923 in Beardstown, the son of Edward O. and
Lurenna Finney Thixton.
He married Waunita Mae McMillen in 1967 and she preceded him in
death on Oct. 5, 1983. He later married Connie Hardwick Ballard on Aug.
3, 1985 in Roodhouse and she survives.
He is also survived by two daughters, Sandra Sue Vaughn of Indiana
and Sharon Lou (husband, Harry) Gallaher of Quincy; three sons, Robert
Eugene (wife, Sherri) Thixton of Riverton; William John (wife, Beverly)
Thixton of Watkinsville, GA; and Wesley Laverne Thixton of Jacksonville;
one step-son, Troy Lee Ballard at home; ten grandchildren; several great
grandchildren; two sisters, Kay Yeager of Indianapolis, IN and Ella Mae
(husband, Lloyd) Andrews of Orlando, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Tony Thixton; one stepson,
Raymond Eugene Ballard and one brother, John Thixton.
Mr. Thixton graduated from Chapin High School in 1941. He drove a
truck for Jenkinson Grocery Company in Jacksonville for many years and
worked for Rose LP Gas in White Hall and Glover Propane in Carrollton.
He had also worked at Moulton Implement in White Hall and helped farm
at Charlesworth farms for several years after his retirement. He was a
member of the International Order of Odd Fellows in Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2001 at
the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall with burial at the
Beardstown City Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday
at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Hospice Care of
Illinois, Jacksonville Branch.

Mrs. M. Virginia Thornton (Watters)
M. Virginia Thornton, age 88, of Pittsfield, Ill. died 7:01 p.m. Sunday (April 9, 2001) at Illini Hospital in Pittsfield, Ill.
She was born February 10, 1913 in Pearl, Ill. daughter of the late W.J. and Carrie M. Cloniger Watters.
She married William Roswell “Tom” Thornton on October 11, 1930 in Carrollton, Ill. and he preceded her in death October 18, 1978.
Surviving are two sister-in-laws, Leota Collins of Pittsfield, Ill., and Lillie Thornton of Moline, Ill.; and seven nieces and nephews including Carole and Bud Robertson of Arenzville, Ill., and Mike and Ruth Collins of Springfield, Ill..
She was preceded in death by her parents; a step-mother, Suzie Watters; her husband; a half-sister, Marjorie Johnson ; a step-brother, Ned Lewis; and a aunt Cora Bagby who helped raise her.
Mrs. Thornton was a graduate of Nebo High School in Nebo, Ill.. She was an avid golfer who was a past member of the Old Orchard County Club. She was a member of the Pittsfield First Christian Church, Circle One at the First Christian Church, and P.E.O.. She also enjoyed gardening.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday (April 11, 2001) at the Pittsfield First Christian Church with Rev. Clay Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Nebo Cemetery in Nebo, Ill.. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Pittsfield, Ill.. Memorials may be made to the Pittsfield First Christian Church or charity of the donor’s choice.

Mr. Charles Edward Thursby
Charles Edwin Thursby, 84, of Palmyra, died Tuesday, January 16, at 2001, at Pleasant Hill Village in Girard.
He was born on August 10, 1916, in Palmyra, the son of Henry and Florence Austin Thursby. He married Lucille Weller December 18, 1835, in Palmyra, and she survives.
He is also survived by one son, Howard (wife, Joan) of Palmyra; one daughter, Joyce (husband, Donald) Hunt of Palmyra; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Wendell of Palmyra; and one sister, Wilma Lamm of Colorado. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Thursby was a farmer in South Palmyra Township all of his life. He was a member of the Palmyra First Baptist Church, and was very active in the Silver Strands Senior Citizens Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the Palmyra First Baptist Church, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Palmyra. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2001at the Stults-Neece Funeral Home in Palmyra. Memorials are suggested to the Palmyra First Baptist Church, Silver Strands or the Northwestern Rescue Squad.

Mrs. Joan Bivin Thursby
Joan Bivin Thursby, 65, of Palmyra, died Thursday, July 26, 2001 in her
home. She was born on January 3, 1936 in rural Palmyra, the daughter of Hershel and Pauline Stults Bivin. She married Howard Thursby on November 25, 1955, and he survives.
Also surviving are three sons: Mark (wife, Donna) Thursby of Palmyra; Roger (wife, Shannon) Thursby of Palmyra; Raymond Thursby of Modesto; one daughter, Mary Ann (husband, Brian) Brown of Millersville, PA; two brothers, Larry (wife, Sandy) Bivin of Scottville and Harvey Bivin of Modesto; three sisters, Fayne (husband, Lester) Quarton of Palmyra, Norma Hotarek of Virden and Joyce (husband, Clifford) Walk of Girard; and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Helen Smith and Marilyn Bivin.
She was a homemaker and a member of Palmyra First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 30,2001 in the First Baptist Church in Palmyra. The family will receive friends at the Stults-Neece Funeral Home in Palmyra on Sunday, July 29, 2001 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Palmyra. Memorials are suggested to Northwestern Rescue Squad or Palmyra First Baptist Church.

Ms. Kristen Nicole Timmons
Kristen Nicole Timmons, 17, of Jacksonville died Saturday afternoon, December 15, 2001 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Pisgah. She was born on November 12, 1984 in Springfield the daughter of Mark A. and Bobbie Jo Acree Timmons.
She is survived by her parents of Jacksonville; two brothers, Nathan Timmons of Jacksonville and Nicholas Timmons at home; maternal grandmother Sandra Acree of Jacksonville; paternal grandfather Thomas (wife, Ruby) Timmons of Mt. Vernon; one niece, and many, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather William A. “Bob” Acree and paternal grandmother Ella Timmons.
Ms. Timmons was a sophomore at Jacksonville High School. She worked at McDonalds and had earlier worked at the Dairy Queen. She was a member of Midwest Christian Ministries, where she was involved in the youth group. Ms. Timmons enjoyed sports and had played basketball while at Turner Junior High School. Her greatest love was for children, including her cousins and children of her church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at the Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Diamond Grove Cemetery in Jacksonville. Friends may call after 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Midwest Christian Ministries Children’s Ministry.

Infant Austin Tisdale
Austin Tisdale, infant son of Jeremy Tisdale of Modesto and Jamie Jay of Chambersburg, died Friday, February 9, 2001 at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.
He was born Friday, February 9, 2001 at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.
He is survived by his parents; maternal grandmother, LaCinda (husband, Mark) Edlin of Mount Sterling; maternal grandfather, Ronald Christian of Hillsboro; paternal grandmother, Linda Tisdale of Modesto; maternal great-grandfather, Roy Graves of Chambersburg; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Ann King of Palmyra; paternal great-grandmother, Helen Poore of Modesto; and paternal great-great-grandmother, Edna Emery of Modesto. He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, John Tisdale.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at Panther Creek Cemetery near Scottville. Williamson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Miss Dollie Pearl Tribbett
Miss Dollie Pearl Tribbett, 92, of Concord died Sunday morning, April 1, 2001 at Passavant Area Hospital-Transitional Care Unit in Jacksonville. She was born south of Murrayville on March 13, 1909 the daughter of Samuel F. and Emma L. Taylor Tribbett.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell (surviving wife, Ruth of Apache Junction, Arizona) Tribbett and Ira C. Tribbett and one sister, Pansy Fisher.
Miss Tribbett had been a school teacher for 41 years, teaching her last 16 years at Triopia Unit 27 at Concord. She was a graduate of MacMurray College in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts and had attended other colleges. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Chapin, Mary and Martha Circle, Lutheran Ladies League and National Retired Teachers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2001 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with burial in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Williamson Funeral Home where the family will meet friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Mary Martha Circle.

Ruth Schutz Tribble (Schutz)
Ruth Schutz Tribble, 80, of Columbia, Ill., formerly of White Hall died on
Tues. Nov. 27, 2001 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis.
Born May 3, 1921 near White Hall, she was the daughter of Ernest K. and
Edith Hubbard Schutz.
She married Stanley E. Tribble on Oct. 11, 1941 and he preceded her in
death on Feb. 8, 1979.
Surviving is one son: Steven (wife Judy) Tribble of Canton, Il., one
daughter: Nancy (husband Michael) Parks of Columbia, Il. , 6 grand and 9
great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Brian Tribble and
a grandson Bradley, 1 sister Mary Schutz and 2 brothers Ernest Franklin
Schutz and H. F. “Bud” Schutz.
She was a member of the White Hall First Baptist Church and attended
the Bethany United Methodist Church in Columbia. She worked for L.K.
Hubbard Law Firm in White Hall as a legal secretary and also operated her
own tax preparation service in White Hall. After moving to Columbia she
worked as a legal secretary at a law office there, retiring in 1994.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday at the Airsman-Hires
Funeral Home in White Hall. Friends may call from 10 A.M. Friday until
service time. Burial is at White Hall Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to
the White Hall Cemetery.

Rose Mary Foster Tribble
Rose Mary Foster Tribble, 51, of Jacksonville died early Wednesday morning, April 4, 2001 at her residence. She was born on June 10, 1949 in Jacksonville the daughter of Robert Buddy and Mary Dobey Foster . She married Gerald Tribble on April 24, 1982 in Jacksonville and he survives.
She is also survived by three daughters, Rebecca (husband, Bob) Phillips, Cindy (husband, Damon) Evans, and Ilena Beddingfield, all of Jacksonville; one son, Robert (wife, Patty) Foster of Jacksonville; one step-daughter Michelle Vickery and one step-son Jerry Tribble, both of Bainbridge, Georgia; fifteen grandchildren; her mother, Mary Downs of Jacksonville; one sister, Betty (husband, Dean Hunt) Foster of Franklin and two brothers, Robert (wife, Janet) Foster of Franklin and Alvin (wife, Debbie) Foster of Winchester.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Mrs. Tribble had worked as a hotel cleaning lady at Star-lite Motel and Motel 6 in Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Winchester City Cemetery. Friends may call after noon on Thursday at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choice.
