Mr. David Weddersten
David Weddersten, age 76, of Roodhouse, went home to be with the
Lord in Heaven, Saturday evening, March 24, 2001.
He was born July 9, 1924 in Roodhouse, the son of William and
Lucile Williams Weddersten.
He married Alice E. Ballard on Aug. 9, 1947 in Roodhouse and she
survives.
He is also survived by one daughter, Cathy Hunnicutt of Roodhouse;
one son, Douglas David (wife, Sherrill) Weddersten of Roodhouse; five
grandchildren, Matthew David (wife, Melissa) Hunnicutt, David William
Weddersten, Marissa Hunnicutt, Andrew Ray Weddersten and Michael John
Weddersten, all of Roodhouse; two great grandchildren, Charity Ann and
Christopher David Hunnicutt. He was preceded in death by one brother,
William “Bud” Weddersten and one sister, Hazle Crain.
Mr. Weddersten served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the
USS Neuendorf as a signalman and was a 50-year member of the
Roodhouse American Legion. He worked at the Roodhouse Envelope
Company for over 40 years, retiring in 1986. He served the community as a
volunteer fireman for 42 years. He loved to fish and spend weekends at
their cabin on the Illinois River and enjoyed bowling. He was a loving
husband and was devoted to his children and grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2001 at the
Fernwood Cemetery in Roodhouse. Memorials are suggested to the
Blessing Hospice of Green e County. The Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in
Roodhouse is in charge of arrangements.

Ruth B. Wesner (Balder)
Ruth B. Wesner, 89, formerly of Jacksonville and Chicago, died early Wednesday morning, November 21, 2001 at Pittsfield Manor in Pittsfield. She was born on May 6, 1912 in Chicago the daughter of Wilhelm and Anna Judith Johnson Balder. She married Edmund L. Wesner on April 23, 1944 in Chicago and he preceded her in death on February 23, 1998.
Mrs. Wesner is survived by several cousins. She was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Hjalmer Balder and Gustav Balder; and two half-sisters, Olga Balder Anderson and Mabel Balder.
Mrs. Wesner served as Assistant Director of Publications for the National Association of College Admissions Counselors in Niles for over ten years, retiring in 1977. She also was a translator for the Swedish-American Newspaper in Chicago. Mrs. Wesner was a lifelong member of Moody Memorial Church in Chicago, and after retiring to Jacksonville, joined Central Christian Church.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2001 at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, south of Jacksonville. Friends may call from 1 to 1:45 p.m. on Monday at the Williamson Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Pittsfield Manor Activities Fund.

Mrs. Linda Sue White (Probst)
Linda Sue White, 56, of Athensville, Illinois, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, in her home in Athensville. She was born July 9, 1944, in Carrollton, Illinois, a daughter of Norman Theodore and Mary Elizabeth Stone Probst. She married Wayne Decker Sr. and later married Marshall White in 1984 and he survives.
Also surviving are one son Wayne Decker Jr. (wife Amanda) of Murrayville, Illinois, three daughters; Lisa Renee (husband Richard) Pagan of Virginia, Illinois; Teresa (husband Kevin) Beddingfield of Athensville, Illinois; Robin (husband Bobby) Thomas of Jacksonville, Illinois; one brother Norman T. Probst of Jacksonville; two sisters, Judith A. (husband Bud) Pohlman of Green field, Illinois, Mary (husband Larry) Brown of Jacksonville, Illinois; and twenty grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son Steven Probst in 1992.
She was employed at Kraft and Lundia prior to her illness, and was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2001 in Stults-Neece Funeral Home in Palmyra, Illinois. The family will receive friends at the Stults-Neece Funeral Home on Thursday, April 26, 2001 from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Youngblood Cemetery, Nortonville, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to the family.

Mr. Bert Mills Whitlock
Bert Mills Whitlock, 84, of Modesto, Illinois,formerly Downers Grove, IL. died Saturday, March 10, 2001 in Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. He was born February 13, 1917 on the family farm near Modesto,IL, a son of Gilbert Robert and Opal Oleta May Mills Whitlock. He married Jane Edna Bingemann on August 30, 1939 and she preceded him in death on October 26, 1994. He then married Kathryn Nifong Stewart on November 28, 1997 and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons: James G. (wife Missy) Whitlock of Downers Grove, IL; Richard B. (wife Susan) Whitlock of Bloomington, IL; one daughter; Joyce S. (husband Robert) Voytek of Naperville, IL.: ten grandchildren, two step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one son; Dr. Lawrence R. Whitlock; one step son John William Stewart; two brothers; Gilbert Lewis Whitlock and Charles Donald Whitlock.
He attended Blackburn College in Carlinville, IL and received his B.A. in agriculture from the University of Illinois. He was a retired Regional Manager of Real Estate Investments for Prudential Insurance Company. He was a Lt. Col. in the Air Force during WW II.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Downers Grove, and regularly attended the United Methodist Church of Modesto, Illinois since moving to Modesto.
Memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2001 at the First Congregational Church of Downers Grove at 1147 Curtiss Street, Downers Grove, with Rev. William Hoglund officiating.
Visitation will be in the Stults-Neece Funeral Home in Palmyra, Illinois on Monday, March 12, 2001 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. conducted by Rev. John Chrisler. Private Burial will be in Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Darien, IL.

Mr. Clifford Junior Wilcox
Clifford Junior Wilcox, 75, of Effingham and formerly of Winchester died Sunday afternoon, June 10, 2001 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois. He was born September 15, 1925 in Jacksonville the son of Clifford J. and Lelia A. Northcutt Wilcox. He married Betty Mitchell on November 23, 1956 in Herondo, Mississippi and she survives.
Surviving is one sister, Gwen (husband, Don) Baird of Manchester, and one brother, Reginald (wife, Hazel) Wilcox of Normal. He was preceded in death by one sister, Yvonne Daniels (surviving husband, Earl Daniels of Cantrell, Illinois).
Mr. Wilcox was a truck driver and had driven 30 years for Campbell 66 Express of Springfield, Missouri and several other firms. He was a veteran having served with the United States Army. Mr. Wilcox was a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church in Flora, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at the Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Winchester City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services. Memorials are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation or to the donor’s choice.

Alice M. Willenburg (Zimmerman)
Alice M. Willenburg, 90, of Jacksonville died at 11:30 A.M. on Sunday
April 8, 2001 at the Barton W. Stone Christian Home in Jacksonville.
Born in Calhoun Co. on August 14, 1910 she was the daughter of the late
Charles and Minnie Halemeyer Zimmerman.
She married Walter Willenburg on March 8, 1932 in Calhoun Co. and he
preceded her in death on April 21, 1974. Surviving are 2 daughters: Mrs.
Wally “Joyce” Davenport of Jacksonville and Mrs. Leslie (Dick) “Margie”
Wollenweber of South Jacksonville and a son Wilbur (wife-Rosie)
Willenburg of Carrollton. There are 5 grand and 7 great grandchildren
surviving.
She was preceded in death by a brother Godfrey Zimmerman and 3
sisters: Rose Meyer, Leola Depper and Katy Zimmerman.
Mrs. Willenburg was a housewife and member of Our Redeemer’s
Lutheran Church in Carrollton.
Visitation will be from 1-2 P.M. on Wednesday at the Airsman-Hires
Funeral Home in Carrollton. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 P.M. at
the funeral home with burial to follow in the Carrollton City Cemetery.
Memorials are mentioned to the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Dee Annamae Williams (Schwalb)
Dee Annamae Williams, 54, of Taylorville and formerly of Jacksonville and Springfield died Monday evening, April 30, 2001 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
She was born on February 20, 1947 in Beardstown, the daughter of Elmer Hallie and Laura Irene Morgan Schwalb. She married Sherman Dale Williams on June 6, 1963 in Virginia and they divorced in 1984. He survives in Jacksonville.
She is also survived by one son, Rusty Williams and one daughter, Nancy Williams both of South Jacksonville and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Gayland “Sonny” Schwalb, Robert Lee “Bob” Schwalb and Elmer L. “Buster” Schwalb and one sister Cee Nola Rose Dunkirk.
Ms. Williams had been employed as a home health care worker for Addus Healthcare in Springfield, formerly Visiting Nurses. She had owned and operated Dee’s Tropical Fish in Jacksonville in the 1970’s. She enjoyed gardening and tropical fish.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2001 at the Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville. The family will meet with friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, Diabetes Association or Salvation Army.

Mrs. Edna Willman (Heightman)
Edna Willman, age 79, of New Hartford, Ill. died early Sunday morning (Sept. 16, 2001) at the Pittsfield HealthCare Center in Pittsfield, Ill..
She was born January 25, 1922 near Pittsfield, Ill. daughter of the late Charles and Anna Saylor Heightman.
She married Robert D. Willman on July 1, 1950 in Summer Hill, Ill. and he survives.
Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Julianna Cox, Helen Baughman, Elizabeth Gooud, and Lula Helkey.
Mrs. Willman was a graduate of Higbee High School in Pittsfield, Ill. and attended Gem City Business College in Quincy, Ill.. She was a former employee of Brown Shoe and was an employee for Caterpillar Tractor Corporation in Peoria, Ill. for 30 years retiring in 1980. She was a member of the New Hartford Christian Church in New Hartford, Ill..
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday (September 19, 2001) at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Pittsfield, Ill. with Rev. Dale Wilfong officiating. Burial will be in Pittsfield West Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m.. Memorials Blessing Hospice of Pike County or New Hartford Christian Church.

Mrs. Ola Vivian Willner (Smith)
Ola Vivian Willner, 92, of Jacksonville died Friday afternoon, July 27, 2001 at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville. She was born on December 10, 1908 at Cave-in-Rock, the daughter of Charles and Etta Foster Smith. She married Frank Willner on December 17, 1927 in Springfield and he preceded her in death on February 26, 1996.
She is survived by three sons, Maurice (wife, Dorothy) Willner, Stan Willner, and Darrell (wife, Michele) Willner of Pisgah; three daughters, Norma Hicks of Jacksonville, Vivian (husband, Laverne) Jones of Winchester, and Rowena (husband, Mark) Kassler of Valley Center, California; 19 grandchildren, 36 grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Eva Harmon of Aspion, Tennessee and Audrey Dutton of Harrisburg.
Mrs. Willner was preceded in death by two sons, Leonard Frank and Everett (surviving wife Carolyn of Jacksonville); three grandchildren, five brothers, Alvin, Linel, Arza, Newell, and Loy, and four sisters, Julia Smith, Lottie Pennell, Zelpha Pennell, and Jean Orr.
Mrs. Willner was a homemaker working alongside her husband on the family farm north of Jacksonville. Earlier in life she had been employed at the Jacksonville State Hospital and Swifts and Company. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 30, 2001 at the Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Jacksonville East Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Calvary Baptist Church or Visiting Nurses of Central Illinois, Jacksonville Branch or Donor’s Choice.

Mr. Raymond Dwayne Wilson
Raymond Dwayne Wilson, 45, of South Jacksonville died Friday morning, May 18, 2001 at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville. He was born on January 18, 1956 in Carlinville the son of Charles Raymond and Lucille Costello Wilson. He married Susan Stanberry on July 16, 1982 in Franklin and she survives.
He is also survived by three sons, Jeremey (wife, Twyla) Wilson and Bryan Wilson, both of Jacksonville, and Charles Wilson of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; one daughter, Angel (husband, Chris) Privia of Arenzville; six grandchildren; his mother, Lucille Workman of Franklin; three brothers, James (wife, Diane) Wilson of Woodson, Bruce Wilson of Franklin, and Bradley (wife, June) Wilson of California; and three sisters, Betty (husband, Harold) McDaniels of Carlinville, Merry Dawne Vona of Orange, California, and Wanda (husband, Richard) Shipp of Jacksonville.
Mr. Wilson had worked in construction in the Jacksonville area. He enjoyed motorcycles and fishing and was a member of the Franklin United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2001 at the Franklin United Methodist Church in Franklin with burial at Franklin Cemetery. Friends may call after noon on Monday at the Williamson Funeral Home where the family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.; and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are suggested to the family or to the donor’s choice.

Mr. Lyndle Wilson
Lyndle Wilson, age 67, of Griggsville, Ill. died Sunday morning (August 19, 2001) at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill..
He was born September 2, 1933 in Hannibal, Mo. son of the late Walter and Gladys Garber Wilson.
He married Fern Cooper Shelton on May 3, 1972 in St. Louis, Mo. and she survives.
Also surviving is one son, G.M. “Cork” Shelton of Pittsfield, Ill.; four sisters; one brother; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents; and one sister.
Mr. Wilson was a driver for CFI Transportation in Joplin, Mo. for the last two years. He also was a driver for DOT Foods in Mt. Sterling, Ill. for thirteen years and was a past Teamsters member.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday (August 23, 2001) at Griggsville Cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by Griggsville American Legion Post #213. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Airsman-Hires Chapel in Griggsville, Ill. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Griggsville Fire Department c/o the funeral home.

Mrs. Janette Winner (Barton)
Janette Winner, 76, of Chapin died Tuesday morning, August 21, 2001 at Barton W. Stone Christian Home in Jacksonville. She was born on August 5, 1925 in Pana the daughter of Roy Thomas and Mabel Bechtel Barton.
She is survived by two daughters, Patty (husband, Kenneth) Crews of Chapin and Barbara (husband, Ben) Hannel of South Jacksonville; one son, Dale (wife, Diana) Luttrell of Chapin; thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; and one brother, Leroy (wife, Yvonne) Barton of Chapin and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Jewell Zoller, June Hudson, and Iona Standefer.
Mrs. Winner retired from Capital Records after many years. She was a member of the Chapin Christian Church in Chapin and the V.F.W. Post 1379 Auxiliary in Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2001 at the Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Jacksonville East Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Chapin Christian Church.

Richard "Goosby" Winningham
Richard D. “Goosby” Winningham, 63, of rural Winchester passed away Tuesday evening (June 26, 2001) at the Jerseyville Community Hospital.
He was born June 15, 1938 the son of the late Homer C. and Virginia Mae Duggins Winningham.
He married Margaret W. Davis. He attended school at Coon Island country school, Glasgow and Winchester schools. He worked for many area farmers, several trucking companies and bulldozing companies in the area. He had been a member of the Teamsters local 916.
Survivors include his children, Jim (wife Vickie) Winningham of Winchester, Chuck (wife Kelly) Winningham of Winchester, Lori (husband Gene) Howard of Alsey, Midge (husband Steven) Hazelwood of Alsey, Hootie (wife Tina) Winningham of Winchester, Cathy (husband Bill) Hillin of Wartrace, Tennessee and Buster Winningham of Vian, Oklahoma. 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister Pauline Hepworth, a brother Homer Lee Winningham Sr. and an infant brother Lester Winningham.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday (June 29, 2001) at the Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester.
Burial will be in Bowers Cemetery near Alsey.
Friends may call after 4:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Winchester Kiwanis Food Pantry.
