Mr. W. Ivan James
W. Ivan James, 79 of Jacksonville died Wednesday morning, February 20, 2002 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. He was born on May 21, 1922 in Mount Blanchard,
Ohio the son of W. Ivan, Sr. and Wilma Hurd James. He married Bernadine Clark Adams on July 10, 1970 in Iowa and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Denise (husband, Marc) Roberson of Powell, Wyoming; two-step sons, David (wife, Janis) Adams of Jacksonville and Jon (wife, Jeanne) Adams of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and one brother, Richard (wife, Judith) James of Orange Park, Florida. He was preceded in death by one son, Terrance James and granddaughter, Amanda Roberson.
Mr. James had retired in 1987 as an executive salesman with General Electric in Houston, Texas. He and his wife have lived in Jacksonville for the past 14 years. He was an Army Veteran having served in World War II. He was a member of Bloomington Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. and the Shrine Temple. Being an avid woodworker since retirement, he was an active member of Tri-County Woodworkers and Springfield Woodworkers Clubs. He also had an interest in computers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at Williamson Funeral Home. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date in Powell, Wyoming. Memorials are suggested to Grace United Methodist Church in Jacksonville or Powell Medical Foundation in Powell, Wyoming.

Mrs. June A. Jameson (Burnett)
June A. Jameson, 79, of Jacksonville, Illinois, formerly of Springfield, Illinois, died Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville, Illinois. She was born June 30, 1922 in Franklin, Illinois, the daughter of Orville Bright Burnett and Lora Eliza Teaney. She married Raymond P. Christison, he preceded her, in death. She later married William Jameson who preceded her in death September 2, 1990. Mrs. Jameson was a bookkeeper at Jameson Heating and Air Conditioning. She was also an artist who painted oil paintings, with some currently displayed in Passavant hospital in Jacksonville, Illinois. She enjoyed traveling and traveled to Europe twice. She is survived by 1 son; David Christison of Jacksonville, Illinois;1 Daughter; Jerris Frevert of Jacksonville, Illinois; 4 grandchildren; Tim Christison of Vacaville, California, Karen Hycke of Port of Lucie, Florida, Jared Frevert of Meridosia, Illinois; Dustin Frevert of Springfield, Illinois; 2 sisters, Clella Rose Ranson of Jacksonville, Illinois; and Darlene Hoots of Springfield, Illinois. Visitation will be Saturday June 15, 2002 from 5pm to 7pm at the Neece Funeral Home in Franklin, Illinois. Following cremation burial will be at a later date. The family recommends memorials to the American Lung Association. She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.

Dr. Robert Maxwell Jarrett D.V.M.
Dr. Robert Maxwell Jarrett Sr. 81, of Godfrey, IL and formerly of Byron, IL passed away Sunday (May 12, 2002) at Alton Memorial Hospital following a lenghty illness. Dr. Jarrett was born August 12, 1920 in Waverly to Lewis Maxwell and Mary Frances Rohrer Jarrett. He married Frances Jennings of Ashton, IL on august 23, 1941.
After attending Waverly schools and graduating in 1938, he attended Illinois College. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1942. In 1945 he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University. While attending school he served in the Army Specialized Training Program. “Doc” as he was known to most, began his practice of veterinary medicine in 1946 and continued activly in Byron, IL for over 50 years, specializing in bovine reproduction. Doc was instumental in the founding of the Byron Forest Preserve and was the president of its board of directors for a number of years. He had a tremendous love of prairie plants and wild flowers, and grew both in his back yard. He was a trustee of Byron Township fro 3 terms. He served for a time as the Senior Decon at Byron United Church of Christ. A lifelong Democrat, he was Ogle County Democratic Committeeman during the 70’s.
Survivors include his wife Frances at home, his 6 children Susan Carey of Gainesville, FL; Lynn Sabina of Ballwin, MO; Dr. Robert (wife Cheryl) Jarrett Jr. of Rockford, IL; Sallie (husband Jeff) Heintz of Godfrey, IL; Winafred Albright of Sycamore, IL; and Elizabeth (husband Mark) Saunders of Carmel, IN. 14 grandchildren: Patrick Carey of Springfield,IL; Dennis (wife Carrie) Carey of Springfield,IL; Nolan and Suellen Carey of Gainesville, FL; Kristin and Elizabeth Sabina of Ballwin, MO; Ehren (wife Christie) Jarrett of Rockton, IL; Daniel Jarrett of Rockford, IL; Jarrett and Stephen Heintz of Godfrey, IL; Danielle and Michael Albright of Woodridge, IL; Colin and Hannah Saunders of Carmel, IN; 2 great grndchildren, Olivia and Maxwell Carey of Springfield, IL. Also surviving is his sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Howard Stewart and a niece Mary Ann (husband Lonnie) Colburn all of Waverly,IL and a nephew Michael (wife Wendi) Stewart of Lake Charles, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday (May 16, 2002) at the Neece Funeral Home in Waverly, IL. Burial will be in the Waverly East Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Byron Forest Preserve Memorial Garden or to the Waverly East Cemetery.

Mr. Harry James Jessie
Harry James Jessie, 62, of Jacksonville died Tuesday afternoon, March 26, 2002 at his residence. He was born on April 22, 1939 in VanBuren, Michigan the son of John Joseph and Iva Ogilvie Jessie.
He is survived by two sons, Harry James (wife, Letha) Jessie, Jr. of Jacksonville and Ronald Wayne Jessie of Havana; one daughter, Jennifer (husband, Troy) Kolves of Topeka; four grandchildren; three brothers, John Jessie of Jacksonville, Oscar (wife, Charlotte) Jessie of Salem, Missouri, and Frank Jessie of Bristol, Oklahoma; and four sisters, Viola (husband, Bill) Davis of Alsey, Iva (husband, Tom) Fernandes of Salem, Missouri, Cora Wisdon of Evanston, Wyoming, and Edith (husband, William) Byus of Salem, Missouri.
Mr. Jessie owned and operated Harry Jessie’s Paint and Body Shop in Jacksonville for many years. He was later employed with Roulands, Freesen, Inc, and Mobil Chemical. Mr. Jessie served two tours of duty aboard destroyers, including the USS Brush, with the United States Navy. He was an animal lover who took in many strays through the years.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2002 at Corinth Cemetery in Salem, Missouri. Friends may call after 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville where the family will meet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Military rites will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Earl E. Johnson
Earl E. Johnson, age 74, of Griggsville, Ill. died Sunday afternoon (Dec. 15, 2002) at Illini Hospital in Pittsfield, Ill. He was born May 8, 1928 in Flint Township, Pike County, Ill. son of the late Harold E. and Leona Maude Ellis Johnson. He married June L. McIntire on November 21, 1953 near Pittsfield, Ill. and she survives. Also surviving is one daughter, Debra Kay Johnson and husband Lawrence Govsky of Rockville, Maryland; one son, Delbert Kent Johnson and wife Angela of Griggsville, Ill.; five grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson and wife Angie of Griggsville, Ill., Jessica Sue Johnson of Pittsfield, Ill., Austin Earl Delbert Johnson, Paige Elizabeth L. Johnson, Dalton H. Reece Johnson all of Griggsville, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Deanna Lynn Johnson; and one sister Grace Biddle. Mr. Johnson was a 1946 graduate of Griggsville High School. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force as a airplane mechanic. He farmed northwest of Griggsville for many years. He was also a past employee of Smith Oil, working at the Griggsville Jiffi Stop facility. He was a charter member of the Griggsville Genealogical Society, and a past member of the Griggsville American Legion Post #213 where he was the financial officer for the post. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday (December 19, 2002) at the Griggsville Cemetery with Roger Dunham officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm. Wednesday at the Airsman-Hires Chapel in Griggsville, Ill. Memorials may be made to the Griggsville Library.

Mrs. Florence Mildred Jones (Megginson)
Florence Mildred Jones, 89, of Woodson died early Monday morning, January 14, 2002 at Barton W. Stone Christian Home in Jacksonville. She was born April 6, 1912 near Woodson the daughter of Rueben “R.C.” and Ida Mabelle McCurley Megginson. She married Clyde W. Jones on January 25, 1929 in Jacksonville and he preceded her in death on September 21, 1983.
She is survived by one daughter, Ida (husband, Robert “Ben“) Seymour of Waverly; one son, Clyde “Sonny” (wife, Beth) Jones of Woodson; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sara Jane Basham of Jacksonville and Phyllis Irene Helliwell of Winchester. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Leona B. Thompson; three sisters, and five brothers.
Mrs. Jones was a homemaker. She had worked at J. Capps and Sons for several years. She was a member of the Woodson Christian Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2002 at the Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Asbury Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Barton W. Mr Paul Eugene Keeney
Paul Eugene Keeney 1922-2002 Palmyra, Illinois Paul Eugene Keeney, 80, of rural Palmyra, Illinois, died Thursday, December 26, 2002 at his home. He was born March 14, 1922, at the family farm near New Berlin, Illinois, the son of John Reuben and Bessie Emma Warren Keeney. His mother died when he was young and step mother Lillian Blakey Keeney raised him. He married Edna Jean Schramm, January 22, 1950 in Waverly, Illinois and she survives. Mr. Keeney retired from farming in 1987. He served in the United States Army in Panama, with the 554th Signal A.W. Battalion as a radar operator. He was a member of the Palmyra American legion Post# 1034, Scottville Masonic lodge #426, Palmyra Chapter O.E.S. #453 and the Green field United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife; son, Mark (Mary Frances) Keeney of Scottville, Illinois, grandchildren Amber and Chad Keeney; son, Douglas (Adele) Keeney of San Pablo, California, grandchildren, Brian and Jenney Keeney; son, Jeffery (Julie) Keeney of Villa Grove, Illinois, granddaughter, Hannah Keeney; half brother, James Blakey of New Berlin, Illinois; several nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Joseph, John, Benjamin and Charles; 4 sisters, Bernice Keeney, Bertha Stewart, Grace Richards and Paul’s twin sister who was still born. Funeral services will be at 10am, Monday, December 30, 2002, at the Stults-Neece funeral Home in Palmyra, Illinois. Family will meet friends from 4pm to 7pm, Sunday, December 29, 2002 at the funeral home. Masonic services will follow visiting hours at 7pm. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Palmya, Illinois. Memorial are suggested to the Jacksonville Gambro Dialysis Center, Northwestern Area Rescue Squad, or the Green field United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Bessie L. Kemp (Nevins)
Bessie Louise Nevins Kemp, 67, of Osage Beach, Missouri, formerly of the Waverly area, died Monday, December 16, 2002 in Osage Beach Health Care, Osage Beach, Missouri. She was born December 7, 1935, in Jacksonville, Illinois, a daughter of Elmer Daniel and Bessie Jane West Sparrow. She married Melvin W. Nevins on March 7, 1956 in Jacksonville, IL, and he preceded her in death on October 20, 1973. Surviving are: five daughters: Vicki Lou Liter of Osage Beach, Mo. Peggy Louise (husband Tim) Sloan of Palmyra, IL, Mary Jane (husband Tony) Watson of Saffell, Ark. Beckey Lynn (husband Saul) Sampson of Bluffs, Sharon Lee (husband Robert) Roach of Ashland, IL. one brother Richard (wife Gloria) Sparrow of Harrison , Arkansas, fourteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. She was a retired Certified Nurses Aid and worked in the former Bridges Nursing Home in Waverly, and Barton Stone Christian Home in Jacksonville, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 19, 2002 in Neece Funeral Home in Waverly, Illinois. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Waverly East Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family.

Mrs. Dorothy J. Kennedy
Dorothy Jane Krieg (Cox) Kennedy, 78, of Jacksonville died Saturday morning, April 27, 2002 at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville. She was born on January 25, 1924 in Cass County the daughter of Frederick and Ethel Davis Krieg. She married Glenn Cox on April 21, 1941 in Palmyra, Missouri. She married Maurice Kennedy on October 3, 1946 in Jacksonville and he preceded her in death in 1978.
She is survived by four sons, Ronald E. (wife, Susan) Cox, Merle (wife, Anita) Kennedy, and David (wife, Linda) Kennedy, all of Jacksonville, and Richard Kennedy; two daughters, Donna Helmig and Connie Kennedy, both of Jacksonville; thirty grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Diane in 1958, one brother, Alfred Krieg; and her son-in-law, Steve Helmig.
Mrs. Kennedy owned and operated Kennedy Childcare in Jacksonville for over 40 years. She later joined her daughter in business operating Noah’s Ark Childcare in Jacksonville. “Grandma” Kennedy enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening. She had been a foster parent for the Department of Children and Family Services. She valued her relationships with her grandchildren, and the daycare and foster children she cared for. She had been a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church in Cass County.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at the Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville with burial at Rushville City Cemetery at Rushville. Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or the American Diabetes Foundation.

Mr. Marshall C. Kidd
Marshall C. Kidd, 80, of Springfield, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2002 at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. He was born May 10, 1921 in Green County, Kentucky. He is the son of Roy and Florence Davenport Kidd. He married Lavada Richards on July 27, 1957 in Decatur, Illinois, she preceded him in death on April 1, 2000.
He graduated Rochester High School in 1939. He then served in the United States Navy. After the Navy, he was employed at Pillsbury Mills as a stock counter for 21 years, and later was the manager of Bonasinga Senior Apartments for 15 years. He was a member of the Douglas Ave. Methodist Church.
He is survived by 2 sons; Robert (Janice) Kidd of Jacksonville, Illinois; Gary (Vicki) Kidd of Petersburg, Illinois; 1 sister, Nadine Stanton of Springfield, Illinois; 3 grandchildren, Richard Kidd of Williamsville, Illinois, Rashel Bayless of Darien, Illinois, Brittney Kidd from Petersburg, Illinois; 2 great grandchildren, Stephanie Kidd and Elizabeth Bayless.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at 10am at the Neece Funeral Home in Waverly, Illinois. Family will meet friends from 9am until service time. Burial will be in West Cemetery inThayer, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to the Make a Wish Foundation or donors choice.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and 2 brothers; Jesse Kidd and Leonard Kidd.

Helen Leona Kilver (Massey)
Helen Leona Kilver, 92, of Winchester passed away Tuesday night (January 29,2002) at Skyview Terrace in Jacksonville.
She was born June 17, 1909 in Jacksonville the daughter of the late Horace H. and Anna T. Wilner Massey.
She married Clifford Kilver in 1927 in Springfield. He preceded her in death October 1, 1977.
Also preceding her were her 5 brothers Raymond, Homer, Fred, Warren, and Harry Massey, her 3 sisters Grace Spalding, Frieda Smith, and Hazel Thomas, and a grandson.
Surviving are her children Wayne Kilver of Winchester, Shirley Mellor of Plantation, Florida, and Marlene (husband Larry) Engelbrecht of Bluffs. 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Kilver attended South Jacksonville and Jacksonville schools. She had worked for many years at the New Method Book Bindery in Jacksonville and then for Gross Animal Clinic in Winchester.
She was a member of the Winchester United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and Home Extension.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday (February 2, 2002) at the Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester with burial in the Winchester City Cemetery.
Friends may call after 3:00 PM Friday at the funeral home where the family will meet with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Winchester United Methodist Church or to the Winchester EMS.

Mrs. Lucille "Toots" Kindred (Rogers)
Lucille “Toots” Kindred, 88, of Jacksonville, and formerly of Alexander, died Tuesday morning, October 1, 2002 at Modern Care Convalescent Center in Jacksonville. She was born on October 20, 1913 at Philadephia, the daughter of James Edward and Minnie Pearl Farmer Rogers. She married Byron Joseph Kindred on April 27, 1933 and he preceded her in death on July 31, 1985. She is survived by six sons, Donald Robert (wife, Betty) Kindred, William Gene (wife, Liz) Kindred, John Franklin (wife, Mary) Kindred, Thomas Anthony Kindred, and Daniel Patrick (wife, Carol Ann) Kindred, all of Jacksonville, and James Edward (wife, Sue) Kindred of Beardstown; two daughters, Catherine Ann (husband, Howard) Timmons of Jacksonville and Constance Sue (husband, John) Satlar of Springfield; 21 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Ida Mae Schuler of Dixon, and Midge Hartzell of Canton; special friend and sister-in-law, Helen Bergschneider of Alexander, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Joseph Kindred; two daughters, Mary Louise “Peg” Pennell (surviving husband Larry of Jacksonville,) and Betty Lea Kindred; one brother, Franklin Farmer Rogers, and one sister, Louise Sheets. Mrs. Kindred was a cook at Alexander Grade School before becoming the maintenance person at St. Mary’s Grade School at New Berlin, retiring in May of 1997 after 22 years of employment. She was a member of the Church of the Visitation at Alexander and the Altar and Rosary Society. “Toots” was known for her wonderful cooking, especially her pies and breads. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2002 at the Church of the Visitation in Alexander with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Jacksonville. Friends may call after 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Williamson Funeral Home where the family will meet friends following a 4 p.m. prayer service, until 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Church of the Visitation at Alexander.

Opal L. King (Adcock)
Opal L. King, 98, of White Hall formerly of Carrollton died at 9:10 A.M. on Wed. Oct. 2, 2002 at the White Hall Multicare Center. born in Carrollton on June 24, 1904 she was the daughter of the late John and Pearl Black Adcock. Surviving are a daughter Edith Naber of Carrollton, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, 2 sisters: Mary Baker of Carrollton, Dorothy Custer of Carrollton, a brother: Lawrence Adcock of Carrollton. She was preceded in death by a son Robert Thomas, 3 sisters: Alma Miller, Iva Laird, Margaret (an infant) and 3 brothers: Henry, Donald and Frank Adcock. Opal had worked at the old Chapman Hotel in Carrollton, the old shoe factory in Jerseyville and later at Boyd Memorial Hospital from where she retired some years ago. She was a member of Believer’s Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Thursday at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton where services will be held on Friday at 10 A.M. with burial to follow in the Carrollton City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assn.

Mrs. Ida Constance Kirchner (Glover)
Ida Constance Kirchner, age 81, of White Hall, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 5, 2002 at Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. She was born Jan. 6, 1921 in Los Cruces, New Mexico, the daughter of Theodore and Anne Starkey Pierce Glover. She married Earl Kirchner on Jan. 5, 1941 in Bowling Green , Missouri and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1966. She is survived by one son, Harold Kirchner of Du Quoin; four daughters, Jerry Lee Meek of Mexico, Missouri; Elizabeth Lancaster of Industry; Shari Parton of Meredosia and Linda White of Winchester; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one brother, Theodore Glover of San Diego, CA and three sisters, Anne Wadsworth of Willows, CA; Jessie Campbell of Winchester and Antoinette Briscoe of White Hall. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Lee Kirchner and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Kirchner was a nurse’s aid at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville for many years. She was a member of the White Hall First United Methodist Church and the White Hall VFW Auxiliary. She was the great granddaughter of Captain Horace Starkey who was the president of the White Hall Banking Association until 1904 and was a civil war captain. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2002 at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall with burial at the White Hall Cemetery. The family will meet friends one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Boyd Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Flossie Seely Kistler (McClenning)
Flossie Seely Kistler, age 93, of White Hall, died early Monday morning, Dec. 23, 2002 at Boyd Memorial Hospital in Carrollton. She was born Sept. 28, 1909 in Hillview, the daughter of Alvis and Katie Deeds McClenning. She married Hal Seely on Dec. 30, 1929 in Winchester and he preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 1976. She later married Harold Kistler on Nov. 12, 1977 in Hillview and he preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 1993. She is survived by sixteen nieces and eleven nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Basil, Vere and Ross McClenning. Mrs. Kistler was a retired school teacher, teaching at Lakeview School and Coates School near Hillview and later taught at the White Hall Elementary School, retiring in 1975. She was a very active member of the Hillview Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002 at the Hillview Baptist Church with burial at Pine Tree Cemetery near Patterson. The family will meet friends from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Hillview Baptist Church. The Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall is in charge of arrangements.

of Roodhouse, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at the Ormond Memorial
Hospital.
She was born July 14, 1934 in Hillview, Illinois, the daughter of
Charles Ernest and Lela Mae Nell Goacher.
She married James Klingele on Aug. 5, 1955 in Roodhouse, Illinois
and he survives in Ormond Beach.
She is also survived by two sons, Robert C. Klingele of Atlantic
Beach, North Carolina and James Eric (wife, Stephanie) Klingele of Normal,
Illinois; one daughter, Vickie Sue (husband, Terry) Shickel of Sharpsburg,
Georgia; six grandchildren, Stacey of Secor, Illinois; Matthew and Sarah of
Gridley, Illinois; Brandon of Atlantic Beach, North Carolina; and Lauren and
Tony of Normal, Illinois; and two sisters, Doris (husband, John) Todd and
Ruth Goben, both of Roodhouse, Illinois. She was preceded in death by one
brother, Clyde Goacher (surviving wife, Orlena) and two sisters, Mardell
Bain and Thelma Northrop.
Mrs. Klingele graduated from the Roodhouse High School in
Roodhouse, Illinois. She worked as an administrative assistant at Ellies
Design Firm and later at Salvato & Coe Design Firm in Columbus, Ohio. She
and her husband lived in Normal, Illinois until 1979 and lived in Columbus,
Ohio until their retirement in 1998 when they moved to Ormond Beach,
Florida. Mrs. Klingele worked part-time at the Stein-Mart Department Store
in Daytona Beach, Florida. She was a member of the Ormond Beach First
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and Beta Sigma Phi in Bloomington,
Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at
the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Roodhouse. The family will meet friends
from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial
will be at a later date at Pine Tree Cemetery near Patterson. Memorials are
suggested to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital in Memphis, TN or the Ormond
Beach First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Ormond Beach, FL.

Mrs. Mary A. Klumpp (Murray)
Mary A. Klumpp, 95, of Jacksonville died Saturday, July 20, 2002 at Barton W. Stone
Nursing Home in Jacksonville. She was born May 9, 1907 in rural Jacksonville the daughter of John William and Hannah Marie Casey Murray. She married Bernard John Klumpp on July 23, 1947 at St. Rose of Lima Church in Chicago and he preceded her in death in March, 1965.
Surviving is one nephew, Tom (wife, Helen) Murray of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and William Murray.
Mrs. Klumpp was a graduate of St. Patrick’s Grade School, Routt High School and Routt College. She was employed by J. Capps and Sons before moving to Chicago in 1942 and was employed by the Chicago Transit Authority for 28 years as a cashier. Mrs. Klumpp had made her home at Barton W. Stone Christian Home for the last several years.
Mrs. Klumpp was a member of the Church of Our Saviour, Catholic Daughters of America and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Church of Our Saviour.

Mrs. Mary Ruth Knapp (McLamar)
Mary Ruth Knapp, 70, of Jacksonville died Saturday morning, April 6, 2002 at the White Hall Multicare Center in White Hall. She was born June 30, 1931 in Nortonville the daughter of Olin Merritt and Alma Fanning McLamar. She married Thomas Knapp on April 11, 1951 in Texarkana, Arkansas and he survives in Quincy.
She is also survived by two sons, Thomas (wife, Cindy) Knapp of Hollywood, Florida and Terry Knapp of Meredosia; two daughters, Brenda Lorton of White Hall and Trula (husband, Matthew) Thomas of East Peoria; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Martha Upchurch and Betty Pruden, both of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Merrill McLamar and John (surviving wife, Helen) McLamar of Springfield, and one sister Sylvia French.
Mrs. Knapp had been a seamstress at the Co-Ed Dress Factory in White Hall and J. Capps & Sons in Jacksonville; and was a waitress in Meredosia. She was a member of the Youngblood Baptist Church in Nortonville and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 1379 in Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at the Youngblood Baptist Church in Nortonville with burial at Youngblood Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. on Monday at the Williamson Funeral Home where the family will meet friends from 6-8 p.m. The VFW Ladies Auxiliary will conduct services at 8 p.m. Monday. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the Youngblood Baptist Church.

Mr. Raymond W. "Peck" Knifley
Raymond W. "Peck" Knifley Franklin, Illinois 1915-2002 Raymond W. Knifley, 86, of Franklin, died Thursday, June 13, 2002 in Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville. He was born September 5, 1915 in Franklin, the son of Virgil and Betty Absher Knifley. He married Goldie F. Silveus in Auburn, Illinois on June 15, 1937, and she survives. Also surviving are one son:Rick Knifley of Franklin ,IL; One brother Robert Letus Knifley of Quincy,IL, One sister Marie Stienmetz of Athens,IL; Six grandchildren and Twelve great grandchildren. He Was preceded in death by one brother Rollin Knifley,and three sisters Lois Knifely ,Carrie Hart,and Vida Spencer. Mr.Knifley was retired after owning and operating R.W Knifley Trucking for over 50 years. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday , June 18,2002 at Neece funeral Home in Franklin,IL. The family will receive Friends at the funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM Monday 17,2002. Burial will be in Franklin City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Franklin City Cemetery.
