Services for Timothy Wayne Davidson, infant son of George and Kari Jane Davidson of Sorento, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Perfetti Funeral Home, Sorento, with the Rev. Elmer Lynn Fenton officiating. Burial will be in Reno Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday in the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service. The baby died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 1999, in Utlaut Memorial Hospital, Green ville. He was five weeks old, having been born February 21 in St. Francis Hospital. Surviving besides his parents are a sister, Allison Marie at home in Sorento; grandparents, Mike and Mary Jane Davis of Sorento, Robert Donald Blonton of St. Louis, David and Deborah Hosslette of Sorento; and great grandparents, Eldon and Dorothy Davis, Verla Rogers, all of Sorento.
Davis, Gladys Olive
Services for Gladys Olive Davis, of Sorento, were held at 11 this morning in Perfetti Funeral Home there. The Rev. Norman Fenton officiated. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery. Mrs. Davis died at 9:16 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 1999, in Utlaut Memorial Hospital, Green ville. She was 67 years old on May 1. She resided all of her life in the Panama and Sorento area. She was born in Panama, a daughter of Cromwell and Gladys Hartman Dixon. She married Francis Davis on July 14, 1947, in Sorento. He survives. Surviving also are daughter, Denise Reed of Sorento, Sherry Kirgan, Sandra Bone, both of Green field, Darla Garrett of Scott Air Force Base; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a daughter, Judith Ann Davis; two brothers and a sister.

Davis, Lillian I.
Lillian Irene Davis, sister of Juanita Scott of Nokomis, died Sunday, September 12, 1999, in Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital, Mattoon. She was 75 years old on July 31. She was a resident of Mattoon and worked as a nurse's aide before she retired. She was born in Pana, a daughter of Daniel and Irene Martin Closser. Her first husband, William Bruce Langley, preceded her in death. Her second marriage was to Roscoe Virgil Davis. Surviving are sons, William Langley of Mattoon, Jack Cloe of Little Rock, Ark., Rocky Davis of San Antonio, Daniel Davis of Houston; daughters, Diania Hasinger of Mattoon, Linda Pattin of Charleston; 27 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at graveside in Tower Hill Cemetery.

Services for Opal Mae Davis, of Litchfield, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Plummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Mallicoat, of Jacksonville, officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday in the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service. The family suggests memorials be directed to Alzheimers Disease and Related Disorders. Mrs. Davis died Saturday, November 28, 1998, in Heritage Manor of Litchfield. She was 84 years old on May 1. She was a dietician at St. Francis Hospital for 13 years before she retired, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Litchfield. She enjoyed sewing, reading and dancing. She was born in Litchfield, a daughter of Orville and Anna Miller Bandy. She married Walter C. Davis on June 1, 1932. He died in March 1961. Surviving are sons, Donald L. Davis and wife Carolyn, Melvin L. Davis and wife Merry Lee, all of Litchfield; daughters, Dorothy A. Sharp and husband William, Marilyn M. Duff, all of Litchfield, and Phyllis K. Trunk and husband Charles of Hazelwood, Mo.; 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were sons, John R. and Larry W. Davis; daughter, Blanche M. Denby; brother, Gerald Bandy; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services for Opal Mae Davis, of Litchfield, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Plummer Funeral Home. The Bro. Bob Mallicoat, of Jacksonville, officiated. Burial was in Elm Lawn Cemetery. Musical selections were "The Old Rugged Cross," "Amazing Grace" and "Supper Time." The vocalist, Shirley Edwards, was accompanied at the organ by Michelle Sweet. During the committal service at the cemetery Bro. Mallicoat read a poem, "Our Beloved Mother," written by the family. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Brian Davis, Mark Davis, Scott Davis, Todd Davis, Gary Entriken and Craig Trunk. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons, Bob Sharp and Matthew Trunk. Following the services a meal was provided for the family and friends by the Women of the Moose. Mrs. Davis, 84, died Saturday, November 28, in Heritage Manor.
Davis, Robert C.
Robert C. Davis, formerly of the Litchfield area, died Friday, May 8, 1998, in his home at Crystal River, Fla. He was 74 years old last June 26. He retired as an engineer with General Motors Corporation and moved to Crystal River some 13 years ago. He was past treasurer and member of Seven Rivers Gold and Country Club. He was a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology where he earned a bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering. He was also a graduate of Gillespie High School. He was born in Litchfield, a son of Mary Elizabeth and Wesley Davis, and was reared on a farm in the Hornsby area. Surviving are his wife, Vada Lee; sons, Robert L. Davis of Cumming, Ga., Thomas C. Davis of Orlando; sisters, Myrtle Atteberry and Genevieve Woolary of Springfield, his twin, Betty Shuey of Portland, Oregon; and five grandchildren. Burial will be in Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Honey Bend. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Francis Hospital or the Mooseheart Children's Home. Mr. Davis died at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 4, 1999, in his home. He was 70 years old on February 14, and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was employed at the Shell Oil Company Refinery in Roxana for 32 years before he retired. He was a member of Litchfield Moose Lodge 1634. He was born in Litchfield, a son of Ralph Edmond, Sr., and Lota Lynn Davis, and graduated from Litchfield High School in the class of 1947. He married Joann L. Smock on February 12, 1966, in the Union Avenue Christian Church. She survives. Surviving also are step sons, Kenneth Dann and wife Mary Kay of Glen Carbon, William Dann of Camargo; step daughters, Dorothy Goff and husband Tom of Tuscola, Alberta Hankins and husband Joseph of Litchfield; sisters, Betty Beiermann and husband Jim of Litchfield, Sandra Norman and husband James of Farmersville; 13 step grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a brother, Ralph E. Davis, Jr., and a sister, Helen Schmidt. Services for Robert Lynn Davis, of Litchfield, were held Wednesday in Plummer Funeral Home. The Rev. Conducting full military honors at graveside were Will Tackaberry, Bill Bates, Bill Rogers, Lee Baker, Jess Yellowley, Jim Hicks and Dave Allen from American Legion Post 436 and Larry Schneck, V.C. Chasteen and Jim Benton. The flag was presented to Mrs. Joann Davis. Heidi Johnson played "Taps." Following the services a luncheon for family and friends was served in the hall of VFW Post 3912. Mr. Davis, 70, died Sunday, July 4, in his home.

He was 89 years old on February 15. He resided all of his life in the Morrisonville and Palmer area. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, assistant Scoutmaster of a troop at Woodstock and was also an Eagle Scout himself. He was born in Morrisonville, a son of Thomas and Edith Schwabe Davis. He married Ruth I. Johnson on December 13, 1938, in St. Charles, Mo.; she died August 14, 1986. He married Pearl Schmedeke on December 19, 1987, in St. Paul Lutheran Church of Nokomis; she survives. Surviving also are step sons Nyle Schmedeke of Morrisonville; Ivan Schmedeke of Harvel; daughters, Rita Specht of Woodstock, Anita Seitz and husband Don of Chesterfield, Mo.; step daughter, Joyce Dullenty of Morrisonville; sister, Marcella Hancock of Nokomis; five grandsons, 13 step grandchildren, three great grandsons and four step great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were brothers, Art and Floyd Davis, Bob Schwabe; sister, Radea King.
Davison, Jr., James L.
James L. Davison, father of James Lloyd Davison, Jr., of Donnellson, died Saturday, March 27, 1999, in his home in Springfield. He was 72 years old on July 7, and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was retired from the Illinois Department of Corrections in 1991. He was born in Ashland, a son of William and Della Thacker Davison. He married Marion F. Schallon in 1947 in Beardstown. She survives. Surviving also besides the son are another son, Richard Allen Davison of Rising Sun, Md.; daughter, Barbara Jean Newbrough of Mesa, Ariz.; brothers, Russell Davison of Jacksonville, William A. Davison of Springfield; sister, Mary Turner of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren and two great grandsons. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Bisch and Son Funeral Home, Springfield. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Dawkins, Bertha M.
Graveside service for Bertha Mae Dawkins, formerly of Mt. Olive, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Mt. Olive City Cemetery with the Rev. Matthew Woodcock officiating. Mrs. Dawson, of Denver, Colo., died at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 1999, in Denver. She was 89 years old on February 27. She taught school for 40 years, retiring from the Aurora, Colorado, Public School System. She moved to Greeley, Colorado, in 1929, and attended the University of Northern Colorado. She graduated from there in 1933 and earned her master's degree the following year. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Denver, former member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Olive. Also in Denver, she was a member of the American Association of University Women, Delta Kappa Gamma, volunteer for the Museum of Natural History, The Art Museum and Fitzsimmons Army Hospital. She was born in Mt. Olive, a daughter of Llewelyn and Hannah Hunziker Williams, and attended schools there graduating from Mt. Olive High School in 1928. Her first husband was Roy C. Martin, whom she married in 1954 in Denver; he died in 1962. She married David Leroy Dawkins on January 19, 1982, in Denver; he died January 19, 1996. Surviving is a sister, Maybelle Williams Bankston of Denver. Preceding her in death besides her parents and her husbands were a brother, William Williams and sisters, Luella and Evelyn Williams. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Mt. Olive Library or the Mt. Olive Ambulance Service.

Services for Thomas William Dawkins, formerly of the local area, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Becker and Son Funeral Home there with the Rev. Terry Breum officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Bucholz Funeral Home, 619 St. Francis in Florissant, Mo. and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday in Becker and Son Funeral Home, Mt. Olive. The family suggests memorials be directed to Mt. Olive Park, Mt. Olive Library or Mt. Olive Ambulance Service. Mr. Dawkins, of Florissant, died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday in his home. He was 84 years old on August 12, and an Army veteran of World War II having served in the Pacific Theatre. He was a laborer with General Motors in St. Louis for 37 years before retiring in 1972. He was an avid bingo player and bowler. He enjoyed the outdoors and doing yardwork. He attended both Staunton and Mt. Olive public grade schools and attended Mt. Olive high school. He was born in Staunton, a son of Thomas W. and Temperance WAtkins Dawkins. He married Lydia Hilderbrant in June 1935 in St. Louis; she died January 30, 1989. Surviving are a sister, Rosezella "Doll" Franzen of Mt. Olive and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were brothers, Ray, Dave and Joe Dawkins and sisters, Mildred Meyer, Muriel Unger and Adelaine Scheller. Mrs. Deambrogio died at 11:17 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 1999, in Heritage Manor of Gillespie. She was 90 years old on December 10. She spent nearly all of her life in Bend and was an ardent supporter of the Benld Methodist Church in both prayer and donations. She was born in Witt, a daughter of John and Domenica Davito Nepute. Her husband, Nino "Joseph" Deambrogio, died June 25, 1952. Preceding her in death were brothers, Louis, Anton and Raymond Nepute. Among those surviving are a sister in law, Irene Lacy Nepute of Santa Monica, Calif., two nieces and two nephews.

Mrs. Debenny died at 11:15 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 1999, in Heritage Manor of Litchfield. She was 92 years old on April 27. She was an assistant manager with the Woolworth Company in Chicago before she retired. She was born in LaSalle, a daughter of Karl and Helena Kramer Wirball. Her husband, Victor J. Debenny, died January 26, 1991. Surviving are a brother, Henry Wirball of Elmhurst along with a niece and nephew. Preceding her in death were a brother, Carl Wirball in infancy; sisters, Anna and Bertha in infancy, Mary Stoler, Martha Wirball and Lee Wirball.
DeBolt, Mari Lynn
Memorial service for Mari Lynn DeBolt, sister of Jamel Billiter of Litchfield, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Our Redeemer's United Methodist Church in Schaumburg. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to an animal welfare organization or no-kill animal shelter. Mrs. DeBolt, of Sleepy Hollow, died Thursday, February 4, 1999, in her home following a five-year battle with cancer. She was a teacher for 30 years, the last 25 years in Hoffman Estates at MacArthur Elementary School in the Schaumburg school district. She is remembered as a dedicated professional who loved children and upheld standards of excellence in her classroom. She received a bachelor's degree from San Diego State University and a master's degree from Eastern Illinois University. She was also an avid bassett hound fancier and a loving "mom" to seven of them over the past 32 years. Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Robert DeBolt; her parents, Nicholas and Dorothy Burch of Carlinville; and sister, Jamel Billiter of Litchfield. Funeral arrangements are being conducted by Madison Funeral Homes of Elgin.

She was 78 years old on December 10. She worked as a telephone operator in the Gillespie and Carlinville areas for 29 years before retiring. She was a graduate of Gillespie High School and attended the Zion Bible Institute in Zion for two years. She was born in Gillespie, a daughter of George W. and Nellie Moore Morgan. Her husband, Carl M. Dark, died January 18, 1984. Surviving are a step son, Dwight Deck of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters, Ina Beyers of Gillespie, Lois Patterson of Collinsville, Corrine Mustain of Nashville; eight step grandchildren, nine step great grandchildren and one step great great grandchild. Mr. Decker died at 9:43 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 1998, in Hillsboro Hospital. He was 77 years old on January 21, and an Army Air Corps veteran of the World War II. He was a machine operator for John Deere in East Moline before he retired. He was born in Reasoner, Iowa, a son of Phillip and Louise Cramer Decker. He married Lois Logsdon on March 19, 1949, in Rock Island. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Karl Decker of Ankeny, Iowa, Keith Decker of Moline; daughter, Karon Casillas of Chandler; sister, Betty Larson of Round Rock, Texas. Preceding him in death were three brothers and one sister.

No services for Rubert "Cotton" Degler, of Staunton, are scheduled. His remains were cremated. Williamson Funeral Home, Staunton, was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Degler died at 10:50 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 1999, in the home of his daughter in Litchfield. He was 80 years old on August 14, and Army veteran of World War II. He was a laborer in construction and an ironworker on many construction jobs in the area before he retired. He was a member of the AFL labor union in Mt. Olive. He was born in Staunton, a son of William L. and Mamie Sparks Degler. His marriage to Shirley Lewis in 1951 ended in divorce. Surviving are sons, Kevin Degler of Meadowbrook, Michael Degler of Litchfield; daughters, Christina Long of Litchfield, Mary Green of St. Ann, Mo., Christina Smith of Litchfield; step sons, John Degler of Phoenix, Ariz., Delbert Smith of Litchfield, Ronnie Gilbert of Litchfield; step daughters, Donna McDonald of Litchfield; a brother, Charles Degler of Litchfield; sisters, Mamie Goslik of Staunton, Fern Payne of Nevada, Sarah Hochmuth of Staunton; 27 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He worked for Shell Oil Company, Wood River, for 40 years before retiring in 1977 as a zone supervisor. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Staunton. He was born near Nokomis in Rountree Township, a son of William and Anna Keiser Deist. He married Verna L. Kruse on June 6, 1937, in Wood River. She died September 23, 1998. Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Opel and husband James of Edwardsville; son, Barry Deist and wife Nancy of Staunton; a sister, Betty Steinmann of Hamel; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Surviving also are a daughter, Joyce Opel and husband James of Edwardsville; son, Barry Deist and wife Nancy of Staunton; sisters, Rene Deist of Bethalto, Evelyn Fielder of Protem, Mo.; five grandchildren and two great grandsons. Delich, William
Graveside service for William "Bill" Delich, formerly of Mt. Olive, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Union Miners Cemetery there. Military rites will be accorded. The family will receive friends in the cemetery from 11 a.m. until the time of service. They suggest that in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to the Paralang Elementary School in Corregidor, The Philippines. Following the services a luncheon will be provided for family and friends in the Mt. Olive Veterans hall. Mr. Delich, of Mt. Vernon, died at 3:05 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 1999, in Virden at the home of his daughter. He was 83 years old on November 11, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a sergeant with the 59th CAC regiment during the war and was taken a prisoner while defending Corregidor. He served three years in Japanese prison camp in the Philippines and Japan. He was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Ex-Prisoners of War, and became a popular figure in Corregidor. He returned there 24 times after the war, including trips with each of his sons. He was employed as a game warden for the State of Illinois Department of Conservation for more than 40 years. He was born in Mt. Olive, a son of John and Anna Pakovich Delich, and attended both the Mt. Olive grade school and high school. Surviving are sons, John and Bill and daughters, Cheri, Debbie, Patti, Lisa and Angie; sisters, Marie Boston and Violet Delich, both of Mt. Olive; 24 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Olive, was held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Union Miners Cemetery there. Eulogy was delivered by former Mt. Vernon mayor and friend, Roland Lewis. Poems were read by John Lewis and grandson, Eric Boston. Art Atchisson sang "Because He Lives" and "Amazing Grace." Full military rites were held with Fred Albers leading the firing squad and honor guard, which consisted of Nick Vuckovich, Monty Striegel, Irv Anderson, Dennis Carlile, Dick Loescher and Jack Hoog. Flag was folded by Dan Mancini and Michael Kasarda with Michael Kasarda presenting the flag to the sons, John and Bill Delich. Taps was played by Ulinda Mancini. Pallbearers were Bill Delich, John Delich, Dave Boston, Jim Gates, Mike Gremo, Barry Liss, Eric Boston and Art Atchisson. Following the service a lunch for family and friends was served in the Mt. Olive Veterans Hall. Mr. Delich, 83, died Thursday, July 8, in Virden.
Denby, Phillip L.
Memorial services for Phillip Lloyd "P.L." Denby, of Carlinville, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Episcopal Lutheran Church there with the Rev. Paul Dicks officiating. Inurnment will be in Carlinville City Cemetery. Mr. Denby died Wednesday, September 8, 1999, in his home. He was 70 years old on September 21. He owned and operated Denby Ford in Auburn, managed Denby Farm Managements Services and owned and operated a heavy equipment business. He was a 1945 graduate of Carlinville High School, attended the University of Missouri and graduated from Renken Technical College in St. Louis. He was born near Carlinville, a son of Gordon and Elizabeth Jordan Denby. He married Blanche M. Davis in 1966; she died in 1969. He married Doris Depper in 1984; she survives. Surviving also are a daughter, Susan Evans of Carlinville; step daughters, Mary Fritz and Barbara Kruse of Brighton, Michelle Pocklington of Farmersville; brothers, James and William Denby, both of Carlinville; sister, Anne Denby Michael of Vero Beach, Fla.; one grandson and nine step grandchildren.
Denny, Alberta E.
Alberta Eva Denny died Saturday, August 7, 1999, in the Oregon, Ill., Health Care Center. She was 87 years old last September 24. She was a registered nurse and one of the first 25 nurses to be activated during World War II. A member of the 802nd Medical Air Squadron, she served in North Africa. She was a recipient of the Air medal and five Bronze Stars. She was also first president of the St. Louis Area Women Realtors. She retired as executive secretary for Haas and Alt Real Estate Company in St. Louis. She graduated from Lincoln College in 1932 and then from St. Louis Hospital in St. Louis. She was born in Lincoln, a daughter of Albert and Myrtle Elliott Denny. Surviving are a sister, Noima Jenkin of Oregon. Preceding her in death was a brother, Burton. Committal service and burial were held in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro.
Denst, Dorothy C.
Services for Dorothy C. Denst, formerly of New Douglas, were held today in Denver, Colo. Fairmont Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Denst, of Denver, died Thursday, February 4, 1999, in Denver, Colo. She was 84 years old on June 3. She was born in New Douglas, a daughter of Charles and Clara Knop Prange. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Ohio State University and worked in public health in Illinois and taught public health nursing at the University of Pittsburgh before marrying Fredrich Stallmann, a native of Staunton, on May 30, 1942. After his death she moved to Denver to teach nursing at the University of Colorado. On September 21, 1950, she married John Denst, M.D. He survives. Surviving also are daughters, Caroline Carrico and Eva Denst; a son, Henry Denst; a brother, Otto Prange; sisters, Velma Vasholz, Emma Spear and Ruth Drummond; and three grandchildren, Cathleen and Cecilia Carrico and Henry Denst, Jr.
Denton, Robert
Services for Robert "Bud" Denton, of Taylor Springs, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Patton Memorial Home, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Harry Meyer, pastor of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Hillsboro, officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery, Litchfield. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to the church. Mr. Denton died at 1:35 this morning, Wednesday, September 16, 1998, in Hillsboro Hospital. He was 62 years old on September 10. He was a truck driver before he retired June 1, 1995, working for Consolidated Freightways, Springfield, for 25 years, Buske Lines and Caulk Trucking. He was a member of Teamsters Local 916 and the United Methodist Church of Irving. He was born in Rountree Township of Montgomery County, a son of Roy E. and Oregona Schoeneweiss Denton. He married Barbara Milanos on Spetember 15, 1957, in Hillsboro. She survives. Surviving also are daughters, Sheri Reynolds and husband Roger of Taylor Springs, Stacy Payne and husband Michael of Collinsville; his mother, Oregona Denton of Hillsboro; sisters, Linda Denton of Hillsboro, Darlene Mikeska and husband William of Taylor Springs, Juanita Borgic and husband Steven of Decatur; and four grandchildren, Bradley and Emily of Collinsville, Christopher and Brooke of Taylor Springs. Preceding him in death were a son, Randy Robert Denton and his father, Roy E. Denton.
Deppe, Ruth Moore
Ruth Moore Deppe, sister of Aileen Hampton of Litchfield, died at 7 a.m. Sunday, June 14, in Belleville. She was 75 years old on June 22. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and taught grade school there. She was a daughter of Leonard and Lulu Wolfe Moore, and the wife of Russell Deppe to whom she was married for more than 50 years. He survives in Belleville along with sons, Robert of St. Louis and Don of Kingwood, Texas.
Deschamps, Richard R.
Services for Richard Rice Deschamps, of Nokomis, were held this morning in Sutton Funeral Home there. The Rev. Father Paul Waters officiated. Burial was in the Russian Orthodox Cemetery at Witt. Mr. Deschamps died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, December 23, 1999, in Golden Manor Nursing Home. He was 76 years old on January 22. He worked in electroplating for Cinch Manufacturing TRW in Elk Grove and also renovated old trains for the train museum at Union, Ill. He was a member of the Orthodox faith. He was born in Springfield, Mass., a son of Louie and Emma Rice Deschamps. He married Mary Furmisky on March 4, 1979, in Chicago. She survives. Surviving also are a daughter, Nichole LaPorta of Orland Park; brother, Robert Deschamps of California; and two grandsons, Nicholas and Michael.
Detrick, Edwin Eugene
Memorial service for Edwin Eugene "Ed" Detrick, brother of Evelyn Ilene Ingram of Litchfield, was held Sunday afternoon in the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. His remains were cremated. Mr. Detrick, of Columbia, S.C., died Thursday, November 5, 1998, in Palmetto Baptist Medical Center there. He was 45 last December 3. He was a computer analyst for Policy Management Systems Corporation in Columbia and a member of the Columbia Toastmasters Club. He was also an Army veteran. He was born in Macomb, a son of Walter E. "Gene" and Wilma Green Detrick. Surviving are his parents, Walter and Wilma Detrick of Jacksonville; sister, Evelyn Ingram and husband Lyle of Litchfield; brothres, Eldon Lee Detrick of St. Joseph, Mich., Ernest Glen Detrick of Las Vegas; a grandmother, Helen Green of Macomb. Cody and Son Funeral Home, Jacksonville, was in charge of arrangements.
