Dever, Carol J.

Services for Carol J. Dever, of Gillespie, were held at 1 p.m. today in Kravanya Funeral Home there. The Rev. Richard Hill officiated. Burial was in Gillespie City Cemetery. Mrs. Dever died at 6:43 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 1999, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. She was 61 years old on October 27. She was born in Granite City, a daughter of Fred H. and Clair Apponey Tanksley. She married William Dever on August 11, 1956, in Granite City. He survives. Surviving also are sons, William C. Dever of Litchfield, Steven W. Dever of Staunton, Bruce A. Dever of Springfield, Bryan K. Dever of Benld; brother, Fred H. Tanksley Jr. of Granite City; sisters, Claire B. Marcus of Hillsboro, Barbara Britt of Granite City; and four grandchildren.

Devlin, Harry B.

Funeral Mass for Harry B. Devlin, of Gillespie, was said at 11 this morning in SS. Simon and Jude Church there. The Rev. Father Larry Auda was the celebrant with Rosemary Messner as organist. Members of VFW Post 4547, Gillespie, were pallbearers. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie. Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie was in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Gillespie İ Benld Ambulance Service. Mr. Devlin died at 11:46 a.m. Friday, October 9, 1998, in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. He was 84 years old on September 20, and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was employed as a finisher for a chemical company before he retired. He was a member of VFW Post 4547 of Gillespie. He was born in Schram City, a son of Henry and Ada Graham Devlin. He married Ann Kocis on October 26, 1946 in Gillespie. She survives. Surviving also are a daughter, Adrianne Devlin of Gillespie; brothers, Raymond and William Devlin of Chicago; sisters, Leona Koening and Margaret Hoffman, also of Chicago. Preceding him in death were a son, Eugene Raymond Devlin, and a brother, Virgil Devlin.

Devore, Melvin K.

Services for Melvin K. Devore, of Mulberry Grove, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church there with the Revs. Gary Loeffler and Max Whited officiating. Burial will be in Maxey Cemetery in rural Smithboro with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 1180, Mulberry Grove. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Ripperdan İ Scheldknecht Funeral Home of Mulberry Grove. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Illinois Junior Holstein Association or the American Lung Association. Mr. Devore died at 11:35 a.m. Sunday, May 24, 1998, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. He was 64 years old on February 12. He was a dairy farmer all of his life with the exception of military service. He was a Private Eİ1 in the Army, serving from August 7, 1956 to August 19, 1958. His reserve obligation ended August 6, 1962. He served one year and five months overseas. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1447 in Vandalia, the Illinois Holstein Association and a 4İH leader. He was born in Bear Grove Township of Fayette County, a son of James and Rotha Bingaman Devore. He married his first wife, Patricia M. Taylor, on December 22, 1958, in Mulberry Grove. She died February 2, 1990. He then married Patricia J. Daniel on December 20, 1991, in Hookdale. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Dennis W. Devore of Carbondale, Kevin Devore of Mulberry Grove; step son, David A. Branyan of Peoria; step daughters, Kandice Johnson of Columbia, Mo., Luci A. Branyan of Jefferson City, Mo.; brothers, Harold Devore of Indianapolis, Ind., Joe Devore of Mulberry grove, Archie Devore of Pleasant Hope, Mo., Dean Devore of Dresden, Ohio; sisters, Lois Goodin of Mulberry Grove, Ruth Ann Ennen of Vandalia, Rose Harpstrite of Lake Mary, Fla.; two grandsons and three step grandchildren. A brother, Dale Devore, preceded him in death.

Services for Freda W. DeWerff, of Nokomis, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church there with the Rev. James Norton officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Stiehl - Dawson Funeral Home. Mrs. DeWerff died at 12:40 a.m. today, Tuesday, October 12, 1999, in Hillsboro Hospital. She was 84 years old on July 31. She was a farm wife, member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and former member of the Ladies Aid of the church. She was born in Montgomery County, a daughter of Frank and Matilda Mindrup Johnson. She married Harold DeWerff in 1937. He survives. Surviving also are sons, Leland DeWerff and wife Judi, Kenneth DeWerff and wife Nancy, all of Nokomis; daughter, Shirley Steward and husband Walter of Roscommon, Mich.; sisters, Martha Tuetken and husband Edward of Nokomis, Emmie Bradley of Belleville; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was a brother, John Johnson.

Services for Cecile E. DeWitt, father of Yvonnie Lash of Hillsboro, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Vancil Memorial Funeral Chapel, Springfield, with the Rev. Dennis Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Mrs. DeWitt, of Springfield, died Sunday, June 7, 1998, in her home. She was 78 years old on July 18. She was born in Grayson, a daughter of Felicien and Cecile E. Delattre Ghignet, and moved to Springfield in 1932 as a young girl. She married Lemuel A. DeWitt in 1944 in Bowling Green , Mo. He died in 1990. Surviving are sons, Alfred L. DeWitt of Poplarville, Miss., Albert J. DeWitt of Palmyra; daughters, besides Yvonnie Lash and husband Russell, Cecile E. Pace of Armory, Miss., Maryann Vicari, Janet Davis, both of Springfield, Annette Hodge of Odin; sister, Renia Paoni of Springfield; 47 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be directed to the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy. Mr. DeWitt died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 1999, in his home. He was 73 years old on March 18, and an Army veteran of World War II. He worked in construction as a laborer and was a member of Laborers Local 1084, Hillsboro. He was also a member of Moose Lodge 1634, VFW Post 3912 and Amvets Post 16, all in Litchfield. He was born in Litchfield, a son of Wilbur and Clarissa Voyles DeWitt. He married Mary M. Prather on July 9, 1948, in Litchfield. She survives. Surviving also are sons, John DeWitt of Litchfield, James DeWitt of St. Petersburg, Fla.; daughters, Mary Gaiser and husband William of Senora, Calif., Joann Harris of Palo Alto, Calif., Susan Alexander, Ellen Broida and husband Eric, Carol Triplett and husband Dale, all of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sisters, Alice Koonce and Pansy "Pat" Hollo, both of Litchfield; 14 grandchildren and one great grandson. Preceding him in death were a brother, Charles DeWitt and sisters, Pearl Lucykow and Mamie Jones. Services for Earl Henry "Hank" DeWitt, wre held at 10 a.m. Monday in Plummer Funeral Home. Mike Bates, pastor of the Litchfield Southern Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Hart Cemetery in South Litchfield Township. During the srivce, George DeWitt, playing the guitar, sang "Amazing Grace" and "Going Home." The closing song was "Daddy's Hands" recorded by Dolly Riley. Pallbearers were Vernon DeWitt, Harold Ellinger, Buddy Hollo, Don Koonce, Bob Orzel and John Orzel. During the graveside committal service Dave Allen, representing VFW Post 3912, presented the flag to Mrs. Mary DeWitt. Ben Schwab played "Taps." Mr. DeWitt, 73, died Thursday, June 3, in his home.

Dexheimer, Marian L.

Services for Marian Louise Dexheimer, formerly of Raymond, were held Sunday night in Hough Funeral Home there. The Rev. James Thompson officiated. Committal service was held at 9 this morning in the Raymond Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Raymond City Cemetery. Mrs. Dexheimer died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 1999, in Norridge Health Center. She was 88 years old on December 25. While a resident of the Raymond area, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Royal Neighbors of America. She was a daughter of Richard and Augusta Bergman Angle. She married George Dexheimer on April 21, 1930, in Chicago. He died November 18, 1967. Surviving are a daughters, Betty Gonzales of Chicago, Pauline Perna of Norridge; two children and four great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a sister, Emma Angle and a grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be directed to Trinity - St. Paul Lutheran School, Worden. Mr. Dezort died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 1999, in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur. He was 44 years old on July 29. He had resided in Decatur for the past nine years. He worked as a die setter at Bassler Electric in Highland until 1980. He was born in Alton, a son of Robert and Melba Moehle Dezort. Surviving are a sister, Darbe Brinkoetter of Decatur and a brother, Scott Dezort of Florissant, Mo.

Dilbeck, Bill

Memorial Mass for Bill Dilbeck, formerly of Nokomis, was held Friday in Decatur at the Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Mr. Dilbeck died at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 1999, in his home. He was 72 years old on February 16. He sold cars all of his working life before retiring in 1996. He was born in Nokomis, a son of Earl C. and Mara E. Lamb Dilbeck. He married Madonna T. Althoff on June 18, 1949. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Thomas Dilbeck of Decatur, Jeffrey Dilbeck of Des Moines, Iowa; daughters, Lisa Dilbeck of Decatur, Lynne Proctor of Cerro Gordo; sister, Marsada Nichols of Decatur; brothers, Donald and Jerry Dilbeck of Decatur, Bobby Dilbeck of Portsmouth, Va.; and seven grandchildren. Preceding him in death were twin sons, Barry and Terry Dilbeck and a brother.

Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery at Hillsboro. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis. Mrs. Dietl died at 12:50 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 1998, in Hillsboro Hospital. She was 91 years old on May 25. She was a farm wife and a member of St. Louis Church. She was born in Hillsboro, a daughter of William and Ada Cress Rouhslange. She married Edward Dietl on February 15, 1933, in St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro. He preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, Joseph Rohslange of Witt; a sister, Elizabeth Huber of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, one step grandchild, two great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.

Dilley, Dale R.

Dale R. Dilley, an honoree in the Bottomley - Ruffing - Schalk Baseball Museum in Nokomis, died at 4:20 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 1999, in Heritage Manor of Springfield. He was 86 years old on November 16. He was a motor driver for the U.S. Postal Service until he retired in 1974, and a member of the Lincoln Land Area Local of the American Postal Workers Union. He was also a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church and Eagles Aerie 437. He was born in Tower Hill, a son of Homer and Mary Brownback Dilley. He married Flora H. Balzraina in October 24, 1935. She died October 9, 1979. Surviving are sons, the Rev. Gary D. Dilley of Vienna, Ohio, Robert L., James D. and David H. Dilley, all of Springfield; a brother, Harold Dilley of Taylorville; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a daughter, Patricia Bolinger; a brother, Gabe Dilley; three grandchildren, Rachel Dilley, Joshua Dilley and Jordan L. Hollis. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Staab Funeral Home, Springfield. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Mrs. Dine died Friday, November 12, 1999, in Eau Claire, Wis. She was 90 years old on June 19. She was born in Witt, a daughter of Martin and Mattie Moore Hoehn. She married Joseph Dine on October 16, 1936, in St. Louis. He died March 31, 1981. Surviving are a daughter, Judy Birdell Snudden of Eau Claire; a son, James Dine of Glen Rock, Pa.; sister, Frances Wilson and husband Wayne of Pekin; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were sisters, Kathryn Hribernik and Margaret Eddington.

Dittus, Nimrod Wayne

Services for Nimrod Wayne "Jake" Dittus, of Litchfield, were held at 11 a.m. today in Plummer Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Langhoff, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be directed to Zion Lutheran School or the Litchfield High School basketball program. Mr. Dittus died at 7:15 p.m. Friday, November 20, 1998, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. He was 67 years old on March 30. He was the official scorekeeper for Litchfield High School basketball teams for 22 years from 1970 to 1992. He farmed for 46 years, and was also employed at the Illinois State Treasurer's office for 10 years before he retired in 1993. An active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, he was a Sunday school teacher, past financial secretary and a member of the board of education. He was also an associate member of the Redeemer by the Sea Lutheran Church in Carlsbad, Calif. He was a member and past board member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau, and a member of the board of directors of the Litchfield Farmers Grain and Livestock Company. He was known for raising Black Angus cattle and served on the board of the Illinois Valley Black Angus Association. He was also a member of the Illinois Black Angus Association and the Illinois Valley Pork Producers Association. He was Democratic precinct committeeman for North Litchfield 1 for several years and was a past chairman of the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee. He graduated from Mt. Pulaski High School in 1949. He was born in Lincoln, a son of Albert Herman and Wilhelmina Schaffenacker Dittus. He married the former Dorothy J. Saathoff on August 12, 1951, in the Zion Lutheran Church of Litchfield. She survives. Surviving also are daughters, Dana Klim and husband William of Jackson, Mo., Lori Jacobs and husband James of Oceanside, Calif., Jane Dittus of Edwardsville; a sister, Nigel Schroeder and husband Dale of Decatur; step brother, John Prange of Laguna Beach, Calif.; three grandchildren, Teal Biri and Nicole Klim of Jackson, Mo., Kurt Tefteller of Oceanside. Preceding him in death were brothers, George and Gerald Dittus and a step father, William H. Prange. Services for Nimrod Wayne "Jake" Dittus, of Litchfield, were held at 11 a.m. Monday in Plummer Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Langhoff, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. Musical selections were "Be Still My Soul," "How Great Thou Art" and "The Lord's Prayer." Pallbearers were Michael Biri, Howard Hartke, Rob Meyer, Harland Scheibal, Chad Schroeder, Charles Sincalir and Kurt Tefteller. Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Brooker, Frank Carroll, Victor Dittus, Robert Finley, Leon Golfin, Vernon Jacob, John Prange and Myron "Barney" Redfern. Following the services a meal was provided for the family and friends by the Zion Ladies Aid. Mr. Dittus, 67, died Friday, November 20, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield.

Dixon, Gladys V.

Graveside service for Gladys V. Dixon, of Panama, were held at 11 a.m. today in Union Cemetery there. The Rev. Linda Peyla officiated. Perfetti Funeral Home, Sorento, was in charge. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Shoal Creek Firemen's Auxiliary or to Adopt A Pet. Mrs. Dixon died at 10:10 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 1998, in Hillsboro Hospital. She would have been 92 years old on Oct. 12. She spent all of her life in the Sorento and Panama area. She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Royal Neighbors of America. She was born in Sorento, a daughter of Frank and Ollie Taylor Hartman. She married Cromwell Dixon on October 26, 1923, in Vandalia. He preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Gladys Davis and husband Francis of Sorento; seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Dixon, James (Walton)

James "Walton" Dixon, father of Jeffrey Lynn Dixon of Hillsboro and Debbie Dixon of Witt, died Monday, December 14, 1998, in his home in Horseshoe Bend, Ark. He was 60 years old on July 17. He was a machinist for Caterpillar, and Army veteran and a member of the Horseshoe Bend Assembly of God Church. He was born in Green burg, Ky., a son of Bonnie Walton and Mary Helen Ervin Dixon. His wife, the former Sharon Curry, survives. Surviving also are three other daughters, Tammy Gruff and Kyla Kelsey, both of Mason City, and Susan Dixon of Lincoln; two step children, Tony Allen of Mason City, Sandy Marshall of Lincoln; three brothers, Odell, Glen and Wayne Dixon, all of Mason City and six grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in CainİHurley Funeral Home, Mason City. Burial will be in the Mason City Cemetery.

Dixon, Mildred

Services for Mildred Dixon, of Panama, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Perfetti Funeral Home there with the Rev. Linda Peyla officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery at Panama. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to Panama Methodist Church. Mrs. Dixon died Wednesday, December 30, 1998, in Hillsboro Hospital. She was 83 years old on November 15. She had resided in Panama most of her life and was the daughter of Charles and Jane Tovrea Davidson. She married Percy Dixon on June 7, 1933, in Hillsboro. He preceded her in death. Surviving are sons, Charles and James Dixon, both of Panama, and David Dixon of Edwardsville; daughters, Virginia "Micky" Loew of Edwardsville, Linda Kuhl of Coffeen; a brother, Jack Tovrea of Canton; sisters, Betty Huggins and Charleen Gilpin, both of Canton, and Maxine Fatheree of Farmington; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Dobernic, Andrew (Jess)

Memorial Mass for Andrew "Jess" Dobernic, a former professional baseball player from Mt. Olive, will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 3014 Oregon avenue, St. Louis. The remains were cremated. Mr. Dobernic, of St. Louis, died Thursday, July 16, in Deaconess Hospital after a long illness. He was 80 years old. He was born in Mt. Olive and in 1939, he started playing baseball as a pitcher with the Chicago White Sox farm club. He played baseball while in the Army Air Force in World War II and after the war resumed his career as a relief pitcher for the L.A. Angels of the Pacific Coast League. In 1947, he was named Most Valuable Player and received the Pitchers Fireman Award. In 1948 and 1949, he pitched for the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds. He later played in the minor league for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Tri City Braves in Washington state, retiring in 1954. He worked as a butcher for more than 20 years in the meat packing industry in St. Louis before he retired in 1982. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Dorothy Dobernic; daughters, Marianne Guber of O'Fallon, Mo., Donna Ratliff of Odessa, Fla.; sons, Alan Dobernic of Crestwood, Ron Dobernic of Clearwater, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Dobernick, Vera Bernetta

Services for Vera Bernetta Dobernick, of Coalton, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis, with the Rev. Scott Womble officiating. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery. She worked for the Illinois Department of Revenue before she retired, and was a member of the Witt Christian Church. She was born in Bellview, a daughter of Edward and Lela Thomas Steinberg. Her first husband, Vernie White, preceded her in death. Her married Charles Dobernick on June 12, 1965, in Hillsboro. He survives. Surviving also are daughters, Linda Broxson of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Wanda Fern Ward of Rochester, Rhonda Minnis of Morrisonville, Lisa Leeper of Edinburg; step daughter, Delores Odle of Arizona; step sons, John Dobernick of Lansing, Mich., Bud White of Colorado; sisters, Wanda Bryant of Hutchinson, Kan., Helen Ervin of Pleasant Hill, Jean Howland of Hamburg; grandchildren, Shelly McCroan of Pensacola, Fla., Joy Schultz of Lawrenceville, Ga., Jamie Ward of Springfield, Jeremy Ward of Rochester, Shane Austin, Corey Minnis, both of Morrisonville, Drake Leeper of Edinburg, Nikky Broxson of Gulf Breeze, Price and Kelly Dobernick of Lansing; and three great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a brother, Glenn Steinberg and one in infancy.

He was 73 years old on December 25, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a miner for many years and also operated service stations. He was a member of VFW Post 4547 of Gillespie and the Slovak National Society. He was a graduate of Benld Township High School. He was born in Sawyerville, a son of George and Mary C Vercko Dobos. He married Dolores Stottler on January 4, 1947, in Paducah, Ky. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Gary Dobos and wife Claraine of Bunker Hill; sister, Ann Stoddard of Edwardsville; and a grandson, Matthew Dobos of Bunker Hill. Preceding him in death were brothers, George, Mike and John Dobos and sisters, Betty Prebee and Mary Komara.

She was formerly Junior High cheerleading sponsor at Meissner School in Bunker Hill. She was born in Gideon, Mo., a daughter of Earl Brian and Glenda Oliver Sparrowk. She married Michael P. Dobrinich on December 19, 1977, in Carlinville. He survives. Surviving also are a son, Joshua and a daughter, Sarah, both at home; her parents, Earl and Glenda Sparrowk, both of Bethalto; brothers, Gary Sparrowk of Bethalto and Duane Sparrowk of Frankfort, Germany.

Dodd, Dr. Robert B.

Dr. Robert B. Dodd, of Springfield, died Thursday, November 18, 1999, in Memorial Medical Center there. He was 78 years old on April 12. He was head of the department of anesthesiology at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and head of the department of anesthesia at Memorial Medical Center. He was widely published in professional journals and contributed to other texts. He also wrote a book, "Diethyl Ether." He was a long-time member and served as an officer in many medical associations. His wife, two sons and a daughter survive. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday in the Boardman - Smith Funeral Chapel, Springfield.

Dohm, Addie C.

Services for Addie C. Dohm, of Staunton, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's United Church of Christ there with the Rev. Noel Gehm officiating. Burial will be in Staunton City Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Williamson Funeral Home, Staunton. The family suggests memorials to St. Paul's church. Mrs. Dohm died at 2:20 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 1998, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland. She was 95 years old on June 11. She worked as a practical nurse before she retired. She was born in Leslie, Mo., a daughter of Henry and Carolina Zolliker Roehrs. She married Herman Dohm in 1954. He died in 1978. Surviving are a step daughter, Annette Folkerts of Mt. Olive; a step son, Rev. Robert Dohm of St. Charles, Mo.; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Other survivors include nieces, Doris Brockman of Union, Mo., Elva Biermann of New Haven, Mo., and a nephew, Kenneth Roehrs, also of New Haven. A step son, Armin Dohm, preceded her in death.

Dollinger, Marie

Marie Mina Dollinger died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, in LaMoine Christian Nursing Home Roseville. She was the mother of Les Dollinger, retired superintendent of the Hillsboro School District. Mrs. Dollinger, 91 on August 4, spent most of her life in the Cameron and Monmouth areas. She was born in Berwick, a daughter of Frank and Minnie Youngquist. She married David Dollinger on December 31, 1927, in Monmouth. He died January 10, 1957. Surviving are sons, Les Dollinger and wife JoEllen of Hillsboro, Leroy Dollinger and wife Grace of Metamora; sister, Bertha Denisar of Dollinger; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Services were held Monday in Monmouth. Burial was in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Donaldson, Carl Lee

Services for Carl Lee Donaldson, father of Christine Ernst of Litchfield and Troy Donaldson of Hillsboro, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, with the Rev. Norris Price officiating. Burial will be in Myers Cemetery in Herrick. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Donaldson, of Huntsville, Ala., died at 2:12 a.m. Monday, July 13, 1998, in Huntsville Hospital. He was 55 years old on January 10. He was a printer and press operator, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was born in Ramsey, a son of Arthur Pella and Della M. Welch Donaldson. He married Margaret A. Banish on June 16, 1993, in Cleveland, Ohio. She survives. Surviving also are another daughter, Kim Arkebauer of Witt; brothers, Bob Donaldson of St. Elmo, Donald Donaldson of Ramsey; sisters, Donna Price , Cora Bushert, both of Ramsey, Mary Harpster of St. Peter, Barbara Cook of Coffeen, Carol Durbin of Payson, Utah; and two grandchildren. A brother, James, preceded him in death.

Donaldson, Elizabeth C.

Services for Elizabeth C. Donaldson, of Morrisonville, were held at 10 this morning in St. Maurice Catholic Church, Morrisonville. The Rev. Father John Hannigan officiated. Burial was in St. Maurice Cemetery. Mrs. Donaldson died at 9:05 a.m. Friday, October 1, 1999, in her home. She was 76 years old on January 19. She was a member of St. Maurice Church, attended its parochial grade school and graduated from Morrisonville High. She was born in Morrisonville, a daughter of Adolph and Catherine Nagle Unser. She married Eugene Donaldson on November 28, 1942, in Morrisonville. He survives. Surviving also are sons, Eugene F. Donaldson Jr. and wife Sandra of Taylorville, Kenneth D. Donaldson and wife Rosemary of Morrisonville; daughters, Linda K. Neideen and husband Ken of Urbandale, Iowa, Patricia A. Ferrill and husband Charlie of Morrisonville; brothers, Leo Unser of Morrisonville, Loren Unser of Lakeland, Fla.; sister, Marty Curtin of Taylorville; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were three brothers, one sister and one grandson, Scott Donaldson.

Donaldson, Joseph S.

Services for Joseph S. Donaldson, of Fillmore, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Miller and Sutton Funeral Home there with the Rev. Ernest Flowers officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Masonic rites will be conducted at 8 p.m. Mr. Donaldson was found dead in his home Sunday, February 21, 1999. He was 88 years old on January 25. He was a farmer before he retired, and a member of the Masonic Lodge 670 A.F.&A.M. of Fillmore. He was born in Filllmore Township, a son of Homer and Ella Carter Donaldson. His wife, the former Nora Alice Lynch of Hillsboro whom he married in 1932, survives. Surviving also are a son, Ronald Donaldson and wife Jean of Fillmore; a daughter, Gail Bowman nad husband Ronald of Buena Vista, Colo.; and three grandchildren. Preceding him in death were two brothers and two sisters.

Donaldson, Ruth F.

Services for Ruth Francis Donaldson, of Fillmore, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Miller Funeral Home there with the Rev. Ernest Flowers officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Mrs. Donaldson died Sunday, February 14, 1999, in Hillsboro Hospital. She was 80 years old on May 20. She ws born in Fayette County, a daughter of Rufus and Bess Nicols Kelly. She married Tornie Elmer Donaldson in 1938. He died December 9, 1985. Surviving are a son, Jerry Donaldson of St. Charles, Mo.; brothers, Tom Kelly of Mt. Vernon, Ind., Joe Kelly of Poland, Ind.; sisters, Wave Mauldin of Bloomfield, Minn, Peggy Rogers of Madisonville, Ky.; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Donham, Kevin

Services for Oliver Kevin Donham, of Litchfield, will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Donald Langhoff officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday in the church from 4 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to either Zion Lutheran Church or the Litchfield High School Sports Complex. Cremation will follow the services. Plummer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Donham died at 12:09 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 1999, in the emergency room at St. Francis Hospital. He was 43 years old on December 18. He and his wife operated Maggie's & Company in Litchfield. He also operated Donham's Ladies Apparel along with his parents and was manager of the Jerseyville store. He also operated Donham's II in Litchfield. After graduating from Litchfield High School in 1974, he continued his education at Illinois State University, Normal, and graduated from there in 1978 with a bachelor of arts degree in Mass Communications. He enjoyed sports and for several years, wrote sports and feature articles for the News-Herald. He also coached the Zion Lutheran Flyers basketball team, and most recently coached soccer. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Litchfield, the Litchfield Country Club, Delta Sigma Phi and a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. He was born in Litchfield, a son of O.K. and Agnes W. Ryan Donham. He married Debra Kaye Rowland on January 21, 1978. She and his parents survive. Surviving also are sons, Sean Rowland Donham and Christopher Ryan Donham, both at home. Others surviving include an aunt, Isabelle Prine and husband V.E. of Carmichael, Calif. Services for Oliver Kevin Donham, of Litchfield, were held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Zion Lutheran Church. Rev. Donald Langhoff officiated. Opening song was "Danny Boy." Keith Marburger was the organist. Congregational hymns were "Rock of Ages and "Amazing Grace." Pallbearers were his father, O.K. Donham, also Ron Beck, Richard Bolar, Fred Floreth, Andy Furman, Rex Lambert, Charlie Morrison, Mark Scheldt, Sam Stewart and Mark Wolff. following the service a light meal was provided for family and friends in the gymnasium of the church by members of the Zion Ladies Aid. Plummer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Donham, 43, died Saturday, July 31, in St. Francis Hospital.
