Graveside service for Annabel June Farrar, of Litchfield, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Union Miners Cemetery, Mt. Olive, with the Rev. Steve Revisky, pastor of the Christian Church of Litchfield, officiating. Plummer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Christian Church of Litchfield. Mrs. Farrar died at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 1999, in Heritage Manor of Litchfield. She was 82 years old on August 22. She was a machine operator with Roller Derby Skate Corporation for 30 years before she retired. She enjoyed sewing and playing bingo. She was born in Ltichfield, a daughter of Earl and Ethel Kinder White, and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1934. She married Merle E. Farrar on May 1, 1939, in Litchfield. He died in 1958. Surviving are a son, Roy Farrar and wife Debra of Litchfield; sisters, Joan Cox of Litchfield, Mildred Kellenberger of Seneca, Mo.; four grandchildren, Roy M. and David Farrar, both of Litchfield, Paul Farrar of Chesterfield, Mo., Steve Farrar of Raleigh, N.C., and three great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was a daughter, Joyce Farrar. Graveside service for Annabel June Farrar, of Litchfield, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Union Miners Cemetery, Mt. Olive. Rev. Farrar, Wanda E.
Services for Wanda E. Farrar, formerly of Litchfield, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Plymouth Park Baptist Church, Irving, Texas, with the Rev. Ken Branam officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens there. Mrs. Farrar, of Irving, died there Monday, October 4, 1999. She was 65 years old on February 17. She worked in the accounting field for many years. She especially enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Buttons and Bows Square Dance Club, holding many offices in the organization. She collected cardinal birds and cheered on the Dallas Cowboys. She was born in Athensville, Ill., a daughter of Russell E. and Cornelia Strandridge Stone. She married James A. Farrar in 1971. He survives. Surviving also are sons, H. Russell Copeland of College Station, Texas, Michael J. Farrar of Grand Prairie, Texas; daughter, Tracie A. Draper of Red Oak, Texas; brother, Gayle R. Stone of Sterling, Va.; sisters, Imogene Lovekamp of Jacksonville, Claudena Daniels of Manchester, Joyce Ward of Troy, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
Farris, Herman James
Herman James Farris, formerly of Litchfield, died at 3:45 p.m. Monday, March 15, 1999, in Imboden Creek Living Center, Decatur. He was 93 years old on July 27, and a Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He settled in Decatur following the war and worked for the Hayes Brothers Hatchery until it closed in 1955 and as a custodian of the Grace United Methodist Church until he retired in 1976. As a youth he loved music and pursued that endeavor until his induction into the Army Air Corps on April 1, 1942. Attached to the 554th Army Air Corps base units, he served in the European, African and Middle Eastern theaters. He was awarded a Bronze Battle Star. He was born in Litchfield, a son of James L. and Edna P. Bassler Farris. He married Ruby T. Bacon on December 6, 1944, in Litchfield; she died March 16, 1990. Surviving are a son, James C. Farris and wife Cinda of Decatur; step children, Richard Bacon of Brandon, Mo., Carl Bacon of Coal Valley, Calif., Joan Bacon of Yucaipa, Calif., Carole Margret of Old Towne, Fla.; a sister, Edna Merritt of Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren, 21 step grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a brother, Paul Farris and a sister, Veta Fry.

Memorial service for Paul F. Farris, of Ltichfield, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Plummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Jay Johnson, pastor of the Union Avenue Christian Church, officiating. Mr. Farris died at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 1999, in his home. He was 90 years old on September 15. He was selfİemployed as a carpenter and built several home in Litchfield. He and his wife also operated The Hatchery in Litchfield. He was a member of the Union Avenue Christian Church, Disciples of christ in Ltichfield and Litchfield Moose Lodge 1634. He was born in Illinois, a son of James Farris. His mother's name is unknown. He married Velma Marie Emmons on June 20, 1929. She died January 16, 1998. Surviving are his brother, Herman Farris of Decatur and a sister, Edna Merritt of West Sacramento, Calif. Preceding him in death was a sister, Veta Frey. A private memorial service for Paul F. Farris, of Litchfield, will be held Thursday in Plummer Funeral Home. Mr. Farris, 90, died Sunday, January 10, in his home. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to the Union Avenue Christian Church, of which he was a member.

Services for James L. Fassero, formerly of the local area, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church, Sixth and Lorena street, Wood River. The Rev. Betty Coffey and the Rev. Dennis Hill will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Hill Cemetery at East Alton. Mr. Fassero, of Brighton, died at 2:44 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 1998, in Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis. He was 62 years old on January 4. He was employed by Olin Corporation in East Alton at the time of his death and had worked for the company for 34 years. He was a member of the Westerner Club, Alton Antique Auto Club, Alton Eagles and the National Rifle Association. He was born in Wilsonville, a son of James and Freida Rademacher Fassero. His first wife was Delores but her maiden name is unknown. They were married April 21, 1956, in Bunker Hill and although they were later divorced, they have remained friends. He married the former Jeannette Cooper on December 27, 1986 in Wood River. She survives. Surviving also are daughters, Teresa Fassero of Gillespie, Lee Ann Tardino and husband Jack of Wood River; and two granddaughters, Andrea and Alyssa Tardino. Others surviving include a sister in law, Doris Fassero of Litchfield; brother in law, Ed Cooper of Mt. Vernon; and parents in law, Chester and Bessie Cooper of Mt. Vernon. Preceding him in death were a son, James R. Fassero and a brother, Gerald Fassero.

Mrs. Feeley died at 3:25 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 1998, in her home. She was 73 years old on February 25. She was born in Mt. Pulaski, a daughter of Scott and Mabel Winchester Turner. She married James Patrick Feeley on May 12, 1950, in Springfield. He died February 19, 1987. Surviving are sons, Larry Feeley of Belleville, James Feeley, Jr., of Gillespie; daughter, Nancy Link of Gillespie; brothers, William Turner of Williamsville, Robert Turner of Louisanna, Mo.; sisters, Betty Sies, June Miller, both of Springfield; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Preceding her in death were brothers, Fred and Wayne Turner and a sister, Wilma Harmon.

Services for Francis Tal Fellers, of Litchfield, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Plummer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemtery. Friends may call in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Mr. Fellers died at 5:05 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. He was 85 years old on February 2, and a Navy veteran of World War II. He worked at the American Radiator Company in Litchfield and then was employed as a personnel supervisor by General Electric in Mattoon. After his retirement, he and his wife operated the Treasurers and Trivia Antique Shop in Litchfield for 17 years. He enjoyed playing cards and golf. He was born in Litchfield, a son of Vallee Rea "Tal" and Irene Elizabeth Campbell Fellers. He married Genevie Lorraine Snow on December 30, 1938, in Litchfield. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Surviving besides his wife are a son, Dennis Fellers and wife Lori of Mattoon; daughters, Peggy Simpson and husband David, Fran Simpson and husband Hal, all of Litchfield; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Services for Francis "Tal" Francis, of Litchfield, were held at 11 a.m. Monday in Plummer Funeral Home. The Rev. Father Ted Schelich, chaplain at St. Francis Hospital, officiated. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Musical selections were "Ave Maria," "In the Garden" and "The Lord's Prayer." Pallbearers were grandsons, Peter Donahoe, Ryan Fellers, Gary Simpson, Mike Simpson, Steve Simpson and Kevin Young. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons, Chuck Brown, Chris Entler, Craig Foster and Mike Hoyle. The flag was presented to Mrs. Genevie Fellers during the graveside committal service by her grandson, Mike Simpson of the Navy and Bill Bates of American Legion Post 436, Litchfield. Following the services a luncheon was provided for family and friends by the women of Holy Family Catholic Church. Mr. Fellers, 85, died Friday, March 19, in St. Francis Hospital.

Mr. Felts died at 6:40 a.m. Sunday, September 5, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. He was 91 years old on August 21. He retired from The Gardens Cafe and Motel after working there for many years. He owned and operated the Home Cafe, the Sugar Bowl and the Overhead restaurants, all in Litchfield. He also worked at Brown Shoe Company. He was a graduate of Litchfield schools and a lifetime member of the Union Avenue Christian Church. He was born in Litchfield, a son of Robert W. and Estella K. Haley Felts. He married Wilma I. Voyles on August 8, 1937, in St. Charles, Mo. She died September 28, 1998. Surviving are sisters, Opal Simpson Weeks of Litchfield, Arla Glee "Skip" Gorsage of Hillsboro, Fern Alee Sexton of Gillespie; Naomi Mai Garman of Sun City, Calif.; two grandchildren, Tami Niehaus and husband Scott of Butler, Tracie Felts of Litchfield; and one great grandchild, Branden Niehaus of Butler. Other survivors include a daughter in law, Gail Felts of Litchfield, along with many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were a son, Truman lee Felts on January 25, 1995, three other sons and a daughter in infancy, Gary, Terry, Ronnie and Connie Felts; brothers, Estell R. She was 81 years old on January 29. She worked in the restaurant business for many years and was especially known for her pies. She came to Litchfield in 1934 from Sorento where she was reared and three years later, on August 8, 1937, married Truman H. Felts in St. Charles, Mo. Together they owned and operated the Home Cafe, the Sugar Bowl and the Overhead restaurants in Litchfield. An avid sports fan, she was a member of the Litchfield Sports Boosters and she was a member of the Union Avenue Christian Church. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, canning and traveling. She was born in Sorento, a daughter of Bert and Emma Compton Voyles. Surviving are her husband, Truman H. Felts; sisters, Nellie Finke of Green ville, Ruth Collmann of Sorento; grandchildren, Tami Niehaus of Butler, Tracie Felts of Litchfield; and a great grandson, Branden Niehaus of Butler. Preceding her in death were sons, Truman Lee Felts on January 25, 1995, and Gary, Terry and Ronnie Felts in infancy; and a daughter, Connie Felts. Services for Wilma I. Mrs. Fenton died at 7:30 this morning, Friday, November 26, 1999, in her home. She was 80 years old on May 14. She was a 53-year resident of Hillsboro. born in Green ville, she was a daughter of William Edgar and Rose A. Rule Hicks. She married Willis Alva Fenton on February 23, 1929, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hillsboro. He died October 11, 1988. Surviving are sons, Alva Lee Fenton and wife Margaret Ann, John W. Fenton and wife Alice, Bruce E. Fenton Sr., and wife Barbara Ann, all of Hillsboro; daughters, Vada Carter and husband Spirz of Hillsboro, Gloria June Clayton and husband Marvin of St. Louis, Lynn Guinn and husband Larry, Nellie Moore and husband Sam of Hillsboro; a sister, Ora Cornish of Mattoon; 35 grandchildren, 35 great grandchidlren and two great great grandchildren. Gladys P. Ferguson, mother of Ruth Cavins of Nokomis, died at 12:55 p.m. Friday, August 7, 1998, in the Flora HealthCare Center. A resident of Flora, Mrs. Ferguson was 81 years old on July 16. She was born in Clay County, a daughter of George and Sylvia Flexter Stanford. She married Carl Ferguson on July 15, 1933, in Flora. He died April 18, 1981. Surviving besides the daughter in Nokomis are sons, Robert W. Ferguson of Xenia and Tom Ferguson of Flora; other daughters, Sarah Hayes and Joy Ferguson, all of Flora; brother, Roy Stanford of Flora; sisters, Goldie Goff of Flora, Ruby Lindsey of Mission, Texas, Betty Huey of Ridgeway; 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a son, three brothers and a sister. Services were held Tuesday in Flora with burial in Elmwood Cemetery there.
Ferguson, Shane E.
Shane Edward Ferguson, formerly of Litchfield, died at 9:49 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 1999, as the result of an automobile accident in Menard County between Tallula and Petersburg. He was 16 years old last April 21, a son of Terry Lee Ferguson and Delores Ann "Dodie" Nimmons. He was born in Litchfield and attended Litchfield High School through his sophomore year. Now in his junior year, he attended Peterburg - Porta High School where he played varsity football and was a letterman. He enjoyed woodworking class and related projects. He was employed by Hardee's in Peterburg, loved to fish and enjoyed the sport of professional wrestling. Surviving are his father and stepmother, Terry and Dawn Ferguson of Tallula; his mother and stepfather, Dodie and Rick Beechler of Virden; maternal grandparents, Gerald Nimmons and Elda Mae King, both of Litchfield; paternal grandparents, Elsie and Ott Hemken of Walshville, Robert and Marolyn Bishop of Florida, Diane Julies and Bill Friesland, both of Springfield; a brother, Gary Lee Entrikin III of Springfield; sisters, Cha Hamby of Hillsboro, Stephanie Ferguson, Victoria Beechler, Nichole Beechler and Kayla Beechler, all of Tallula. Preceding him in death were grandparents, Edward C. Ferguson and Edith Mae Nimmons. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday in Plummer Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Oley Lawson of Walshville will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to either the Petersburg - Porta High School or Litchfield High School. Law enforcement authorities are continuing to investigate an accident which claimed the life of Shane Edward Ferguson on Thursday. Ferguson, 16 of Tallula, was formerly from Litchfield. The accident occurred about 9:45 a.m. on Five-Point road in Menard county, south of Petersburg. Ferguson and his passenger, Daniel Julius, had to be extricated from the wreckage. Julius, 24, address unavailable, remains in critical conditional at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Driver of the other car was identified as Mary Snow, 52 of Petersburg. She was treated at the hospital and released. Authorities said she was wearing a seat belt when the collision occurred. Police are waiting to talk to Julius before releasing an official report. Ferguson finished his sophomore year at Litchfield High School before moving to Tallula. Funeral services are being held in Litchfield. Turn to page 3 for obituary information. Mr. Ferguson, 16 of Tallula, died Thursday, March 18, in an automobile accident between Tallula and Petersburg in Menard County.

Services for Geno Ferrari, of Litchfield, will be conducted privately, with Meinschein Funeral Home in charge. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield. Mr. Ferrari died at 8 p.m. Friday, December 17, 1999, in the V.A. Medical Center, Cincinnati, Ohio. He was 81 years old on April 23, and a Marine veteran of World War II. He was a salesman with Morton Buildings before he retired. He was a member of VFW Post 3912 of Litchfield and Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. He was born in Ohio, a son of Enrico and Sabina Pigati Ferrari. He married Dorothy A. Knaggs on October 27, 1940, in Sullivan, Mo. She survives. Surviving also are daughters, Sharon Cole and husband William of Mt. Zion, Barbara Shoop and husband Larry of Union, Ky.; sisters, Desoline Wolfe of Carlinville, Theresa Billy of Collinsville; four grandchildren, Dr. Todd Cole and wife Jennifer of Mt. Zion, Amy Roesel and husband Pat of Covington, Ky., Shannon Cole of Springfield, Tracy Schaefer and husband Jay of Florence, Ky.; and one great grandchild. She was 81 years old on March 2. She was a member of the Baptist church and enjoyed playing pinochle and fishing. She was born in Litchfield, a daughter of William Joseph and Emma Ellen Long Burdell. She married James J. Ferrari on June 6, 1932, in Litchfield. He died March 12, 1992. Surviving are a son, Ronald Ferrari and wife Alice of Crawfordsville, Fla.; daughters, Shirley Ernst, Virginia Ewing and husband Robert, Juanita Young and husband LaVerne, all of Litchfield, and Rose Ellen Hurd and husband Doyle of Pontiac; brother, William "Mose" Burdell and wife Cassie of Litchfield; sisters, Kathleen Reed and husband Rolland of Channon, Norma Hicks and husband James, Betty Law and husband Jack, all of Litchfield; 19 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Services for Ivan J. Fesser, of Nokomis, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home there with the Rev. Mary Etta Skinner officiating. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday in the funeral home from noon until the time of service. Mr. Fesser died at 7:55 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 1998, in Golden Manor Nursing Home, Nokomis. He was 94 years old on June 4. He worked for the Illinois State Police for 28 years and was a member of St. Mark's Church. He was born in Nokomis, a son of George W. and Minnie Fesser. He married Ilah Haller and later, Josephine Bost. She died October 14, 1997. Surviving are two grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a son, Ivan Lee Fesser on November 1, 1996; brothers, George and Lester Fesser and sisters, Elda Keiser and Viola Yeske.

Services for Melvin H. Fesser, of Raymond, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Nokomis, with the Rev. James Norton officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Hough Funeral Home, Raymond. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Melvin Fesser Memorial Fund at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Mr. Fesser died at 9:33 a.m. Sunday, July 12, 1998, in Hillsboro Hospital. He was 86 years old on April 16. He was a retired farmer, member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau, the Illinois Pork Producers, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was born in Rountree Township, a son of Frank and Hannah Keiser Fesser. He married Betty J. Lipe on December 25, 1943, in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Nokomis. She survives. Surviving also are daughters, Marlene Garard and husband Leroy of Rockford, Donna Wade and husband Gene of Morrisonville; a son, Don Fesser and wife Mollie of Farmersville; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a brother, Chester in 1994.

Viretta H. Fesser, sister of Kenneth Smith of Raymond, died Friday, October 29, 1999, in Taylorville Care Center. She was 97 years old on July 16. She was born in Mt. Auburn, a daughter of Harry E. and Mattie Sattley Smith. She married Lester F. Fesser in 1926 in Taylorville; he died in 1970. Surviving besides her brother are a son, Lester G. Fesser of Taylorville; a sister, Maxine August of Columbus, Ohio; a grandson and two great grandchildren. Services were held in Taylorville with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery there.
Feyen, Helen J.
Services for Helen J. Feyen, of Gillespie, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Kravanya Funeral Home there with the Rev. Ron Brooker officiating. Burial will be in Gillespie Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to aid research on manic depression dementia. Mrs. Feyen died at 9:30 p.m. Monday, November 9, 1998, in Heritage Manor of Carlinville. She was 83 years old on March 20.She was born in Gillespie, a daughter of Louis M. and Artie Redding Boroughf. Her husband, Henry R. Feyen, preceded her in death on February 8,1987. Surviving are a daughter, Eleanora Zielke and husband Henry of Hoffman Estates; brother, Louis Boroughf of Gillespie; sister, Iva Remer of Gillespie; four grandchildren, Rickey Proctor of Holmen, Wis., Kirby Proctor of Elgin, Debra Holmen of Hoffman Estates, Diane Talsma of Glen Ellyn, and 10 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were two grandsons, Randy Linn Proctor and Douglas Theodore McPeek.

Memorial service for James Richard Fields, a senior engineer with Illinois Power Company and worked in the area, were held Saturday in Decatur. Mr. Fields, of Decatur, died at 7:37 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 1998, in Decatur Memorial Hospital. He was 50 years old on October 10. He worked for Illinois Power Company for 29 years, including in the Galesburg, Hillsboro and Decatur areas. He held an electrical engineering degree from RoseİHulman Institute of Technology, having graduated in 1969. He was born in Gary, Ind., a son of Robert and Myrtle Shults Fields. He married Jean Clay on April 3, 1971, in Galesburg. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Robert H. Fields of Hobart, Ind., Stephen J. Fields of Westmont and James P. Fields of Decatur; a brother, Robert D. Fields of Clarksville, Ind.; and three grandchildren.

She was 91 years old on February 23. She was a cook at Price 's Cafe, the Elks lodge and The Hut in Litchfield. She moved from Litchfield to Springfield in 1975. She was born in Honey Bend, a daughter of William and Hattie Wright Weatherford. Surviving are sons, William File of Camano Isalnd, Wash., Charles Ray File of Lacey, Wash.; daughters, Rachel Jarvis and husband Joe of Springfield, Helen Holak of Staunton; sister, Blanche McGaughey of St. Louis; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was a grandson, Steven Holak. Services for Hazel M. File, of Litchfield, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Meinschein Funeral Home. The Rev. Randy Sands officiated. Private memorial service for Donna J. Finger, of Gillespie, will be held. The Rev. Father Ted Schelich, chaplain at St. Francis Hospital, will officiate. Miss Finger died at 5:20 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 1998, in her home. She was 35 years old on November 5. She was a data processor employed by the Illinois Department of Public Aid in Springfield, having obtained a certificate in data processing from Lewis and Clark Community College. She was a 1980 graduate of Gillespie High School. She was a member of the Women of the Moose in Litchfield. She was born in Milwaukee, Wis., a daughter of Elmer E. and Delores J. Phillips Finger, and never married. Surviving are her mother, Delores Finger of Gillespie; brother, David Finger of Valier; half brother, Donald Phillips and wife Joan of Oak Ridge, Mo.; sisters, Diane Wipfler and husband Herman of Saunemin, Doreen Finger of Daly City, Calif., Denise Finger and Deborah Givens and husband William, all of Litchfield.

Funeral arrangements for James Joseph Fiscor, of Litchfield, are pending at Plummer Funeral Home. Mr. Fiscor, 60, died Wednesday, August 19, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. Services for James Joseph Fiscor, of Litchfield, will be held at noon Saturday in Plummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Father David Schmidt, pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church and Larry Brunette, deacon of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Litchfield. Friends may call on Saturday in the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Mr. Fiscor died at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, 1998, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. He was 60 years old on January 10. He was the yard manager at Landreth Lumber Company of Litchfield until its closing. He was previously employed at Consolidated Coal Company's Hillsboro mine in Coffeen until its closing. He was also an Army veteran. He was a member of the Holy Family parish and enjoyed camping and fishing. He was born in Litchfield, a son of Stephen J. and Frances A. Elvidge Fiscor. He married Peggy Carol Logsdon on February 6, 1971, in Litchfield. She died on August 7 this year. Surviving are a son, Steve Fiscor of Chicago; daughters, Jaime Koonce and husband Wade of Litchfield, Alicia Fiscor, Sheila Fiscor and Holly Fiscor, all of Litchfield; a sister, Helen Stahr and husband Roy of Riverton; and three granddaughters, Adrienne and Kristin Koonce and Kylie Fiscor. A sister, Paula Denise Fiscor, preceded him in death. Services for James Joseph Fiscor, of Litchfield, were held at noon Saturday in Plummer Funeral Home. The Rev. Father David Schmidt and Deacon Larry Burnette officiated. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Musical selections played during the service were "How Great Thou Art," "The Lord's Prayer" and "On Eagle's Wings." Pallbearers were Steve Fiscor of Chicago, Roy Stahr of Riverton, Larry White, Ronald Bergman, both of Litchfield, David Barger and Art Menu, both of Springfield. At graveside the flag was presented to Mr. Fiscor's son, Steve, by Will Tackaberry, commander of American Legion Post 436 of Litchfield. Following the services a meal was provided for family and friends by the women of Holy Family parish. Mr. Fiscor, 60, died Wednesday, August 19, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield.

Services for Peggy Carol Fiscor, of Litchfield, were held at 11 a.m. Monday in Plummer Funeral Home. The Rev. Father Dave Schmidt, pastor of Holy Family parish, and Deacon Larry Brunette officiated. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Musical selections played during the service were "Ave Maria," "Amazing Grace" and a song by Willie Nelson, "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain." Pallbearers were Dave Barger of Springfield, Leslie Gent, Oscar Gent, Dean Jett, Wayne Pezold and Cecil Robinson of Lithcfield. Following the services a meal was provided for family and friends in the Moose Lodge by the women of the parish and the Women of the Moose. Mrs. Fiscor, 47, died Friday, August 7, in St. Francis Hospital. Services for Peggy Carol Fiscor, of Litchfield, were held at 11 this morning in Plummer Funeral Home. The Rev. She was 47 years old on August 4. She attended Holy Family Church, enjoyed camping and fishing, and played slow pitch softball. She was born in Litchfield, a daughter of Leslie N. and Opal C. King Logsdon, and graduated from Litchfield High School in the class of 1969. She married James J. Fiscor on February 6, 1971, in Litchfield. He survives. Surviving also are daughters, Alisia, Sheila and Holly Fiscor, all of Litchfield; step son, Steve Fiscor of Chicago; step daughter, Jamie Koonce and husband Wade of Litchfield; sisters, Ginger Jett and husband Leslie, Ramona Wilson and husband Richard, Emma Micenheimer and husband Richard, Edna Gent and husband Oscar, Debbie White and husband Larry, all of Litchfield, Edith Large and husband Richard of San Diego, Calif.; one granddaughter, Kylie Fiscor, two step granddaughters, Adrienne and Kristin Koonce, all of Litchfield. Preceding her in death were brothers, Andy and Leslie Logsdon and sisters, Shirley and Patricia in infancy.

Services for Romarose Fisher, formerly of Mt. Olive, were held this afternoon in Stabb Funeral Home, Springfield. Burial was in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Mrs. Fisher died at 3:33 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 1998, in her home in Springfield. She was 72 years old on August 9. She was born in Mt. Olive, a daughter of Theodore and Agnes Roehl Bartels, but spent much of her life in Springfield. She married James H. Fisher on December 9, 1945. He survives. Surviving also are a daughter, Pamela Brooks of New Berlin; a son, Paul J. Fisher of Springfield; two grandchildren, Amanda Kaye and Robert Brooks, both of New Berlin.

Barbara JoAnn Fitzsimmons, formerly of Witt, died Tuesday, May 19, 1998, in Cooksville, Tenn., General Hospital. A resident of Sparta, Tenn., she was 65 years old on November 25. She was born in Witt, a daughter of Walter H. and Caroline Elizabeth Tudor Garret. Her husband, Charles P. Fitzsimmons, survives. Surviving also are daughters, Elizabeth Fitzsimmons of Sparta, Amy Fitzsimmons of Loudon, Tenn.; sons, David G. Fitzsimmons of Sparta, Tim Fitzsimmons of Hopkinsville, Tenn; brothers, Donald Garrett of Sparta, Dennis Garrett of Taylorville; and three grandchildren. Services were held at the Thurman Funeral Chapel in Sparta with burial in Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
