Services for Ernest Louis Flaim, of Mt. Olive and formerly of Staunton, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Livingston, with the Rev. Father George Raosevich officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Staunton. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in Lesicko Funeral Home, Livingston. Prayer service will be held at 5 p.m. Mr. Flaim died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 1998, in Springfield Manor Nursing Home. He was 86 years old on July 13. He worked for the University Club in Chicago for 47 years, retiring as manager. He moved to Staunton in 1976, where he became a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 2197 and a past president of the Senior Citizens. He was born in Pueblo, Colo., a son of Louis and Catherina Paternoster Flaim. He married his first wife, Martha Christine, on January 26, 1936. On August 17, 1974, he married Ellen Poggi Sawicki in Hazel Crest. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Charles Flaim and wife Marge of Granger, Ind.; step children, Patricia Valderrama and husband Rafael of Chicago, Carmella Sawicki of Mt. Olive, Raymond Sawicki of Sheldon, Vivian Medrano and husband Randy of Sheldon, James Sawicki of Collinsville; a sister, Mary Huhsman of Rockford; three grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were brothers, Louis and Joseph Flaim and a sister, Ida Eccher.

Funeral Mass for Edna M. Payne Fleigle, formerly of Morrisonville, will be said at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Maurice Catholic Church there by the Rev. Father W.R. Maul, pastor of St. Raymond's Church, Raymond. Burial will be in St. Maurice Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday after 10 a.m. in the Hough Colonial Home, Morrisonville. The family suggests memorials be directed to the St. Anthony Hospice in Wood River. Mrs. Fleigle died at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 1999, in VIP Retirement Center, Wood River. She was 90 years old on March 3. She was a secretary for the Stanley Hanks Paint Company for more than 30 years. She was born in Palmer, a daughter of Ray and Lucy Viola Durbin Payne. She married Elbert H. Fleigle on February 7, 1928, in St. Maurice Catholic Church, Morrisonville. He died November 17, 1981. Surviving are sons, James Fleigle of Mesa, Ariz., Don Fleigle of Wood River; a daughter, Evelyn Hinkley of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 22 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family. Preceding her in death were a brother and two sisters.
Fleming, Felma
Services for Felma Fleming, of Litchfield, were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the First Baptist Church. The Revs. C. Brent Cloyd, Albert Chaney and Kenneth Spires officiated. Rev. Cloyd delivered the message. Rev. Ron Joyce, former music director of the church, lead the congregational songs, "Because He Lives" and "Victory in Jesus." Donna Price sang "Through It All." Pallbearers were the deacons of the church, William E. Sielschott, Carl Hampton, Gerald Holliday, Richard Wimberly, Mike Rogers, Dale Bruhn, William Cornman, George West, Perry McDowell and Rick Lienau. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. Following the services a dinner for family and friends was served by members of the church in the fellowship hall. Mrs. Fleming, 59, died Thursday, December 24, in St. Francis Hospital.

Roselind McKennedy Fleming, sister of Dave McKennedy of Litchfield, died Friday, June 4, in San Diego, Calif. A resident of San Diego, Calif., she was 61 years old on July 17. She was casting director for the Laguna Beach, Calif., pageant. She was born in Chicago, a daughter of Clarence and Dorothy McKennedy, and graduated in 1955 from Virden High School. Surviving are a son, Jerry Fleming, Jr. and wife Lori of San Diego; daughter, Rene Johnston of Oceanside, Calif.; her parents, Clarence and Dorothy McKennedy of Virden; two other brothers, Dan McKennedy of Virden, Frank McKennedy of Centreville, Va.; and four grandchildren. Private services and inurnment were held Saturday in Virden Cemetery.

Jessica Marie Flitz, infant daughter of Ronald Gene and Chera Lynne Flitz of Springfield, died at 12:05 a.m. Friday, September 3, 1999, in Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, shortly after her birth. Surviving in addition to her parents are a sister, Andrea Nicole Flitz of Springfield; grandparents, Fern Flitz of Hillsboro, Leory and Judy Moss of Springfield; and great grandparents Ivy and Bernice Doyle of Barry. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today in Staab Funeral Home, Springfield. Services will be held in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Chatham Cemetery.
Flohaug, Laurene Meyer
Laurene Meyer Flohaug, mother of Larry Flohaug of Panama, died January 23, 1999, in McVille, N.D. She was 72 years old on March 31. She was reared in the Pocahontas area and graduated from high school there in 1944. She married Clarence Flohaug on October 25, 1944, at Grantfork. He survives. Surviving are two other sons, Dale Flohaug of Aneta, N.D. and Roy Flohaug of New Brighton, Minn.; sisters, Bernice Willeford of Green ville and Delores Iberg of Pocahontas. Preceding her in death were a sister, Fern Zobrist and brothers, Richard and Roland Meyer.

Services for Warren B.C. "Goog" Flowers, father of Terry Flowers of Hillsboro, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Miller Funeral Home, Fillmore, with the Rev. Tim Woodard officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery at Fillmore. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from one hour before the service Wednesday. The family suggests memorials be directed to Fillmore United Methodist Church or the Fillmore Fire Department. Mr. Flowers died at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 1999, in his home in Fillmore. He was 76 years old on September 22. He was a farmer before he retired. He became a member of the Fillmore United Methodist Church in 1950 and was chairman of the church board. He previously served as Sunday School superintendent and held various other positions with the church. He was also a 50-year member of Fillmore Masonic Lodge 670, AF&AM. He was born in Albany, Ky., a son of Curt Evert and Lula Pearl Wilburn Flowers. He married Julia Anna Wilson on November 9, 1943, in Paducah, Ky. She survives. Surviving also are two other sons, Tony and Tim Flowers, both of Vandalia; a daughter, Kathy Marks of Vandalia; brothers, Ernest Flowers of Vandalia, Curtis Flowers of Anderson, Calif.; 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were brothers, Bill and Creole Flowers.

Alleen C. Floyd, mother of Michael M. Floyd of Sorento, died at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 1999, in Elgin. She was 87 years old on May 31. She operated Alleen's Beauty Shop in Green ville for many years. She was born in Alhambra, a daughter of Roger and Emma Giershner Pearce. She married Harold B. Floyd in 1946, in Chicago. He died in 1955. Surviving are another son, Jerry Floyd of Smithboro; daughter, Betty A. Behm of South Elgin; brother, Joseph Pearce of Mission Hills, Calif.; sister, Annabell Moran of Topeka, Kan.; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was a son, Roger Floyd. Services were held in Alhambra with burial in Old Campground Cemetery at Green ville.

Gloria Lee Fontana, of Taylor Springs, died at 5:10 p.m. Friday, July 17, 1998, in Hillsboro Hospital. She was 65 years old on November 3. Mrs. Fontana had resided in Pawnee since 1965 and recently returned to Taylor Springs. She was born in Hillsboro, a daughter of William J. and Almeda Goodin Simonton. Surviving are sons, Mike Fontana of Anna, Bart Fontana of Pawnee, Ken Fontana of Cheyenne, Wyoming; brothers, Don Simonton of Gillespie, Charles Simonton of Taylor Springs, Howard Simonton of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Frank Simonton of Hillsboro; sisters, Muriel Harnetiaux of Hillsboro, Leatha Schoen of Gillespie, Dixie Miller of Taylor Springs; and one granddaughter, Gabrielle Fontana of Pawnee. Preceding her in death were a brother, Buck Simonton and sisters, Lois Ecker, Lola Obertino, Ferrel Cranford and Edith Childers. No visitation or services are planned. She was born in Toluca, a daughter of Amerigo and Concetta Pasquale DeGirolamo. Her husband, Otis Ford, died on August 15, 1982. LaVern Fosnaugh died at 7:38 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, 1999, in Doctor's Hospital, Springfield. He was 74 years old on January 13, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was employed by the State of Illinois as a highway engineer for 37 years before he retired. He also worked for 11 years as superintendent in Brown county. He was a member and deacon of South Side Church and VFW Post 3912, both in Litchfield, and the Association of Highway Engineers. He was born in Chester Township, Indiana, a son of Charles and Clara Johnson Fosnaugh. He married Charlene Kruse on October 15, 1950. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Robert Fosnaugh and wife Dawn Marie of Springfield; sisters, Lucille Duke of Mio, Mich., Lorene Andrews of Blufton, Ind.; brothers, Don Fosnaugh of Blufton, Ind., Garth Fosnaugh of Attic, Ohio; and one granddaughter, Kari Lynn Fosnaugh of Springfield. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Russell and Forrest Fosnaugh. Services were held in Springfield on Sept. 18. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Litchfield

The family suggests memorials be directed to the First Baptist Church or the Madison County Hospice. Mrs. Fraley died at 8:40 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 1998, in her home in Troy. She was 69 years old on June 16. She had resided in Troy since 1959, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Collinsville and the Mission Circle of the church. She was born in Litchfield, a daughter of Charles W. and Iva Bingham Booher. She married Warren Fraley on June 26, 1948, in Litchfield. He survives. Surviving also are daughters, Janet Boyce and husband Gary of Litchfield, Beverly Wille and husband Robert, Barbara Burk and husband Don, Sue Putnam and husband Michael, all of Troy, and Miss Carol FraleyİBooher of San Juan, Puerto Rico; brother, Charles Booher of Atlanta, Ill.; sisters, Eunice Bishop, Tabitha Fisher, Alberta Bishop, Alma Jean Leitschuch and Mildred Odle, all of Litchfield; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Ms Franks died at 9:08 a.m. Monday in St. Francis Hospital. She was 98 years old on September 13. She farmed her whole life. She was born in Farmersville, a daughter of Leroy and Margaret Anderson Franks. Surviving is a sister, Margaret Henry of Litchfield. Preceding her in death were two brothres and one sister.

Mr. Frazer, of New Bloomfield, Mo., died Thrusday, April 11, 1999, in St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City, Mo. He was 62 years old. Mrs. Frazier died at 6:44 this morning, Friday, April 30, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. She was 87 years old on April 27. She was employed by St. Francis Hospital in the housekeeping department before her retirement. For several years before coming to Litchfield, she lived near Waggoner and worked at the Roundup Cafe and Motel in Farmersville. She was born in Franklin County, Kentucky, a daughter of Charles "Connie" and Elizabeth Lisbee Harvey. She married Everett Louis Frazier in 1935. He died in 1961. Surviving are a son, Harrison Frazier and wife Anna, and a grandson, Daniel Frazier and wife Helen, all of Plainfield.

Services for George A. "Trigger" Freed, of Bloomington, were held there today. Burial was in Park Hill Cemetery there. Mr. Freed died at 11:20 a.m. Friday, November 19, 1999, in his home. He was 64 years old on March 9. He was a cook for Canteen Corporation for 27 years, member of the Eagles Lodge 257 and Moose Lodge 745. He was born in Bloomington, a son of Thomas and Esther Laird Freed. He married Alice L. Doner on September 17, 1996, in Springfield. She survives. Surviving also are sisters, Jackie Neal, Margie Abbott, both of Bloomington, Esther Colyer of Hillsboro and Alice Kendall of Normal. Preceding him in death was a sister, Mildred Marie Freed.
French, Vera
Vera French, a Hillsboro resident for almost 50 years, died Thursday, October 22, 1998, in Indianapolis, Ind. She was 95 years old on July 31. Her husband, George "Doggy" French who was Hillsboro city clerk for several years prior to his death on August 15, 1955. She was born in Taylor Springs, a daughter of George and Anna Jacob Soffia, and married George French on November 25, 1925. She moved to Indianapolis in 1973. Surviving are a daughter, Georgia Engelman and a grandson, Scott Engelman, both of Indianaplis. Other survivors in the local area include nieces, Willma Pesko of Hillsboro, Mary Havera Lehnen and Agnes Havera Gasparich of Nokomis and nephews, Amel and Edmund Pesko both of Taylor Springs. Preceding her in death were a daughter in infancy; sisters, Mary Harvera who resided in Nokomis and Elizabeth Pesko, Taylor Springs; and a brother, George Soffia, Jr., Detroit, Mich.

Mr. Frerichs died at 12:05 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 1998, in St. Francis Hospital. He was 78 years old on December 22. He was a lifeİlong resident of Litchfield and worked for the State of Illinois in road maintenance before he retired, and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Southern Horse Pullers Association, the Michigan Horse Pullers Association and a lifetime member of the Farm Bureau. He was also a member of the Aid Association for Lutherans. He was born in Litchfield, a son of Edward William and Emma M. Sewing Frerichs. He married Dorothy M. Stamer on August 15, 1952, in Litchfield. She died February 10, 1990. Surviving are sons, Dale L. Frerichs and wife Brenda of Clinton, Mo., Donald R. Frerichs and wife Julie of Litchfield; brothers, Benjamin Frerichs, John Frerichs, both of Litchfield; sisters, Lucille Frerichs, Marie Morris, Viola McKimmey, Ruth Cranford, all of Litchfield; four grandchildren, Brian Lee, Brandalyn Marie and Bryce D. Frerichs, all of Clinton, Mo., and Jenna Rae Frerichs of Litchfield. Services for George F. Frerichs, of Litchfield, weere held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev. Following the services a meal was served to family and friends by the Zion Ladies Aid. Mr. Frerichs, 78, died Saturday, November 14, in St. Francis Hospital.

Olive Ambulance Service or the Zion Lutheran Church Organ Fund. Mrs. Friesner, of Cerro Gordo, died at 1:20 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 1998, in her home. She was 81 years old on November 22. She worked in Mt. Olive as the proprietor of Turner Hall and Schoppies Corner. She was also a waitress and egg grader and worked at an IGA store as a check out clerk until her retirment in 1979. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Monticello. She was born in Mt. Olive, a daughter of William H. and Charlotte Meyer Grosenheider. She married Walter Eugene Friesner on September 29, 1937, in St. Charles, Mo. He survives. Surviving also are a son, Walter E. Friesner, Jr., and wife Iris of Mt. Olive; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a brother, Oliver Grosenheider and a sister, Lorene Grosenheider. Following the services a lunch will be served to family and friends in the Zion Fellowship Hall by the women of the ELCA. Services for Verna Anna Lena Friesner, formerly of Mt. Olive, were held at 11 this morning in Becker and Son Funeral Home there. The Rev. Terry Breum and the Rev. Allan A. Oman officiated. Burial was in Mt. Olive City Cemetery. During the services, solist Ginger Berry sang "Amazing Grace." The Zion choir presented "How Great Thou Art" and the congregation sang "Just A Closer Walk with Thee." Organist was Elda Prange. Pallbearers were William Grosenheider, John Mihelcic, Fred Fellin, Tom Shank, Ron Yurkovich and Harold Scheiter. Follwoing the services a lunch was served by the Women's ELCA group in fellowship hall at the Zion Lutheran Church of Mt. Olive. Mrs. Friesner, 81, died Sunday, September 27, in Cerro Gordo.

Donald Wayne Fritts, of Hornsby, died Friday, December 3, 1999, in the Texoma Medical Center, Dennison, Texas. He was 60 years old on February 27. He was a cement finisher and worked out of the Clement Masons Local 90, Troy. He was born in Huntsville, Ark., a son of James and Dortha McQuric Fritts. He married the former Margaret Kauffman Odle on November 29, 1968, in Durant, Okla. She survives. Surviving also are sons, James Fritts of Phoenix, Ariz., David and Bryan Fritts of Valdez, Ark.; three step children, Chuck Odle of Litchfield, Ronnie Odle of Nokomis and Karen Mack of Pawnee; his mother, Dortha Fritts of Huntsville, Ark.; sister, Yvonne Fritts of Dennison; brothers, R.K. and James Fritts; three grandchildren, seven step grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a son, Donald "Butch" Fritts and his father, James Fritts. No local services are planned. The remains were cremated and inurnment will be held on the family farm in Huntsville, Ark. Bratcher Funeral Home in Dennison was in charge of arrangements.

He was 55 years old last March 10. He was a maintenance engineer with the Macoupin County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of Blue Knights Chapter 21 of Carlinville and the Honda Motorcycle Club. He was born in Staunton, a son of Anton Michael and Verna Kirkwood Fritz, and graduated in 1961 from Benld High School. He married Donna Boston on May 19, 1995, in Menominee, Mich. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Andrew Lesicko of Staunton, Todd Fritz of Highland, Anton and John Fritz of Staunton; daughters, Lora Engel of Daggett, Mich., Cinda and Brenda Fritz of Livingston; his mother, Verna Fritz of Sawyerville; brother, Anton Fritz of Lebanon; sisters, Verna Goodman of Mt. Mr. Fritzsche died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 1998, in St. Francis Hospital. He was 80 years old on May 10, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was engaged in farming all of his adult life and attended the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive. He was a member of the Mt. Olive Labor Local. He also loved to play the game of poley along with all card games, and was an avid bowler. He was born in Mt. Olive, a son of Paul and Mary Zimmerman Fritzsche. He married Margaret Rose Costello on October 19, 1939, in Missouri. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Paul "Rook" Fritzsche of Worden; daughters, Lucille Adden of Mt. Olive, Patricia Svetlik and husband Edward of Walshville; brothers, Roy Fritzsche and wife Mildred of Mt. Olive, Virgil Fritzsche and wife Evelyn of Mt. Olive; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Frizzo, Lorene B.
Services for Lorene B. Frizzo, of Staunton, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Williamson Funeral Home there with the Rev. Richard Feyen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Frizzo died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 1998, in her home. She was 86 years old on March 10. She worked as a nurse's aide and health care giver before she retired. She was last employed by Memorial Hospital in Staunton. Before that she worked at Shriners Hospital in St. Louis. She was born in Staunton, a daughter of Christian and Golda Hastings Nessl. Her first marriage was to Arthur Burkhardt in 1933. She second husband was Irvin Meyer, whom she married in 1947. In April 1972, in Carlinville, she married Albert Frizzo. He died March 20, 1979. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Hartman and husband Kenny of Staunton; sons, Wayne Burkhardt and wife Lee of Pickney, Mich., Kenneth Meyer and wife Sue of Ferguson, Mo.; brothers, Dale Nessl of Staunton, Dean Nessl of Litchfield; sister, Golda Albrecht of Staunton; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Froman, Philip
Philip Froman, brother of Don Froman and wife Mildred of Litchfield, died Monday, December 13, 1999, in the Veterans Hospital at Pittsburg, Pa. He retired from the Air Force in 1976, after serving 21 years, and was 64 years old last January 24. He was born in Paris, Ill., a son of Ernest and Rena Froman. Surviving are his wife, Betty of Mt. Union, Pa.; sons, Steve Froman of Pinellas Park, Fla., Kevin Froman of Largo, Fla.; step son, Dave Shisler of Mt. Union; step daughter, Dona Brenneman of York, Pa.; and three grandchildren. A memorial service and burial will be conducted at a later date in Pennsylvannia.
Fuchs, Herbert L.
Services for Herbert L. Fuchs, formerly of Litchfield, were held today in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Watertown, Wis. Entombment was in Glenview Memorial Gardens, Ixonia. Mr. Fuchs died Sunday, October 31, 1999, in Marguardt Memorial Home of Watertown. He was 93 years old on October 16. He was born in Litchfield, a son of William and Martha Kubow Fuchs. Surviving are his wife, the former Elda Tiemann; daughters, Ruth Martin of Watertown, Carolyn Hallauer of Colfax, Wash., Audrey Zauther of Watertown, Lucille Ellenberger of Franklin; sisters, Esther Schmidt of Watertown and Dorothy George of Ltichfield; 20 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Preceding him in death were brothers, Paul, Arnold and Walter Fuchs.
Fuchs, Leonard L.
Services for Leonard L. Fuchs, formerly of Farmersville, were held at 11 this morning in Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomington. The Revs. Thomas Wirsing and Ernest L. Gerike officiated. Entombment was in Park Hill Mausoleum in Bloomington. Mr. Fuchs died Thursday, August 13, 1998, in Heritage Manor of Bloomington. He was 80 years old on May 7, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was vice president and general manager of Country Life when he retired in 1983, after 33 years of service with the Country Companies insurance firm. After graduating from Farmersville High School, he attended the University of Illinois and graduated in 1942 with a degree in agriculture education and in economics. He was a farm advisor in Adams and Pike counties before joining Country Companies as a district sales manager. During World War II he served in the Army Signal Corps and was stationed from 1943 to 1946 in the Philippines. He was active in the Bloomington community as a member of the Rotary, Planning and Zoning commission of McLean County, board of the former Mennonite Hospital, the Livingston - McLean County chapter of the National Alliance of the Mentally Ill. He was active also in his church, Trinity Lutheran, serving as Sunday school superintendent, elder, on the boards of personnel review and of evangelism. He was born in Honey Point Township of Macoupin County, a son of Otto and Bertha Neuhaus Fuchs. He married Bonnie V. Wachs on June 11, 1943, in Champaign. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Ronald Fuchs of Rockford, Kevin R. Fuchs of Carlinville; daughters, Linda A. Norton of Normal, Karen K. Brooks of Bloomington; brothers, Lester Fuchs of Glenwood, Minn., Robert Fuchs of Morrisonville; sisters, Lorna Nelson of Robbinsdale, Minn., Frances Lainsbury of Minneapolis, Mary Strandboge of Corina, Calif., Roseleen Abbott of WalnutCreek, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
