Funeral Mass for Bernard J. Kiel, brother of Richard Kiel of Farmersville, will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taylorville, by the Rev. Father John O'Connell. Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery, Carlinville. Mr. Kiel, of Taylorville, died Sunday, November 28, 1999, in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital there. He was 82 years old on October 25. He was a retired farmer. He was born in Meppen, a son of John and Caroline Droege Kiel. He married Barbara Cerar in 1953 in Carlinville. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Dr. David Kiel of Taylorville, Thomas Kiel of Alton, James T. Kiel of Elsah; seven grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Kilduff, John
Memorial service for John "Jack" Kilduff, of Staunton, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Williamson Funeral Home there with the Rev. Father George Radosevich officiating. Burial of the cremains will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until the time of service. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Michael's Catholic School or the American Heart Association. Mr. Kilduff died at 10:40 a.m. Sunday, June 20, 1999, in his home. He was 54 years old on March 20. He was a machinist with Olin Corporation in East St. Louis for more than 20 years, and a member of St. Michael's Church. He was born in Lombard, a son of John H. and Agnes Kosowski Kilduff. Surviving are sisters, Harriet Halpin, Agnes V. Rothgangel, Dorrell Rae, all of Staunton, Margaret Scheller of White City; brothers, Ray Kilduff of Springfield, Robert and Bruno Kilduff of Staunton. Preceding him in death were brothers, Roy and Stanley Kilduff.

Services for Mary Dorrell Kilduff, of Staunton, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Williamson Funeral Home there with the Rev. Father George Radosevich officiating. The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Michael's church or school. Miss Kilduff died in Heritage Manor of Staunton at 4:05 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 1998, one day before her 97th birthday. A teacher and author, she retired from the Berwyn school system in 1967, and returned to Staunton. She taught in the Staunton school system for a period of five years, from 1922 to 1927. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Staunton, Macoupin County Historical Society and a past president of the National and Illinois Councils for Social Studies. She was born in Staunton, a daughter of Harry and Mary Henderson Kilduff. Surviving are eight nieces and nephews, Ed and Agnes Rothgangel, Estell and Margaret Scheller, Jim and Dorrell Rae, Bob and Kay Kiluff, Bruno and Ruth Kilduff, Ray and Audrey Kilduff, Harriet Halpin and John Kilduff. Preceding her in death were sisters, Jane Heidker, Margaret Kilduff and brothers, James, William and John Kilduff.
Kilpatrick, Helen M.
Helen M. Kilpatrick, grandmother of Roy France of Mt. Olive, died Sunday, April 11, 1999, in Culbertson Memorial Hospital, Rushville. A resident of Beardstown, she was 90 years old on February 12. She was born in Beardstown, a daughter of William Hubert and Maggie May Fessel Williams. Her first husband, Charles Virgil Riley and her second husband, Wilbur "Ike" Leonhard, both preceded her in death. In 1950, she married Emerson L. Kilpatrick; he died in 1985. Two daughters, Phyllis France and Willene Ogilvie also preceded her in death. Surviving besides the grandson in Mt. Olive are three other grandchildren, Rintha Caldwell of Springfield, Richard France and Dana Fischer of Beardstown. Services were held this morning in Beardstown with burial in the city cemetery there.

Services for Brenda Kimbro, of Panama, were held at 11 this morning in Perfetti Funeral Home there. The Rev. Linda Peyla officiated. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery. Mrs. Kimbro died at 4:35 p.m. Friday, August 27, 1999, in Fair Oaks Nursing Home, Green ville, after an illness of five months. She was 58 years old on December 16. She was the owner and operator of Brenda's Bar in Panama, and a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Panama. She was born in Sorento, a daughter of Lloyd and Blanche Hastings Saathoff, and had resided all of her life in the Sorento and Panama area. Surviving are sons, Greg Saathoff and Gary Kimbro, both of Donnellson; a daughter, Tonya Moore of Panama; brother, Dan Saathoff of Panama; sisters, Vina Houchlei of Sorento, Gail Hancock and Jeanette McGill, both of Panama; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Kincaid, of Carlinville, died at 4:13 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 1998, in Carlinville Hospital. He was 88 years old on May 2. He was a section foreman for the Illinois Transit System before retiring in 1975 after 40 years of service. He was a charter member of the First Assembly of God Church, organized the Grands Group of the church, and served as church superintendent for more than 35 years and as deacon for more than 60 years.He was born in Brushy Mound Township, a son of John W. and Martha Neely Kincaid. He married Ruby V. Fones on November 11, 1931, in Carlinville. She died January 13, 1997. Surviving besides the son are daughters, Betty Roberts of Bethalto, Sharon Sandfort of Carlinville, Judy Cooke of Gillespie, Sandy Crone of Dyersburg, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Other survivors include a daughter in law, Coletta Kincaid of Carlinville. A son, Robert Kincaid, preceded him in death in 1995.

He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Raymond, Morrisonville Lodge 681 A.F.&A.M., Low 12 Club, American Legion Post 299 of Raymond, and a past master of Raymond Lodge 692. He was born in Shelby County, a son of Charles and Cordelia Godwin King. He married Lois M. Miller on November 9, 1945, in Decatur. She survives. Surviving also are a daughter, Sharon Marie King of Godfrey; sisters, Fern Puyear of Bethany, Bea Younker of Pana, June Banning of Decatur. Preceding him in death were one brother and three sisters.

The family suggests memorials be directed to the Montgomery West chapter of the American Cancer Society. Mrs. King died at 8:34 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, 1999, in Litchfield Health Care Center. She was 96 years old on October 29. She worked for the Brown Shoe Company for many years. She was active in the VFW Post 3912 Auxiliary, having been president of the post and a district president. Also, she was a member of the Union Avenue Christian Church. She was born and spent most of her life in Litchfield. She married Leo Clayton King in 1919 and he preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Leona Kellenberger of Litchfield; five grandchildren, Donna Uchtman and husband Carl, Ray Kellenberger and wife Janice, Tim King and Varrol King all of Litchfield, mark King and wife Nina of Pawnee; seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a son, Verrol King; brother, Tony Buzick; sisters, Gladys Courtway and Mildred; step father, Curly Smith; step brother, Otto Smith and step sister, Ellen Wey. Services for Irene May King, of Litchfield, were held at 1 p.m. Friday in Plummer Funeral Home. Rev. Jay Johnson of the Union Avenue Christian Church officiated. Burial was in Elm Lawn Cemetery. The VFW Post 3912 Auxiliary opened with the service with a tribute to Mrs. King. Pallbearers were Mark King, Tim King, Verrol King, Fred Uchtman and Ron Uchtman. Following the committal service a luncheon was provided for family and friends at the VFW post. Mrs. King, 96, died Wednesday, December 15, in Litchfield HealthCare Center.

He was a truck driver for 30 years before he retired. He was born in Stanley, N.D., a son of William Erza and Lillian Mary Dresser King. He married Lillie Mae Smith on February 27, 1960, in Litchfield. She survives. Surviving also are daughters, Sue Ann Mendoza and husband Bert of San Diego, Calif., Paula Brady of Bunker Hill; sons, Roy King and wife Suzanne of Centralia, Ron King of Bunker Hill, Robert "Jimmy" King of Litchfield, Roger King and wife Tina of Bethalto; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Kinnikin, Robert E.
Memorial service for Robert E. Kinnikin, of Staunton, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Williamson Funeral Home there with the Rev. Richard Feyen officiating. The remains were cremated. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Kinnikin died at 7:33 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 1999, in his home. He was 78 years old on June 7, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a pipefitter at the Arco Refinery in Hartford for 20 years before retiring in 1965. He was a member of the Pipfitters Union 553 of Alton, Staunton VFW Post 1241 and the Disabled American Veterans Association. He was born in Worden, a son of Grover and Cleda Chapman Kinnikin. He married Adele Berg on January 20, 1951, in Carlinville. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Dennis Kinnikin and wife Dawn of East Alton; brother, Kenneth Kinnikin and wife Nancy of Belleville; two grandchildren, Robert and Randall Kinnikin. She had resided in Livingston for six years and was a trustee for the village. When she retired in 1986, she had been selfİemployed as a beauty operator for 15 years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church of Livingston. She was born in Edinburg, a daughter of Benjamin and Treala Charlene Cagle Strumpher. She married Ronald L. Kirbach on February 14, 1987, in Springfield. He survives. Surviving also are daughters, Cindy Smith of Chatham, Lisa Pfeiffer and husband Ben of Mt. Olive, Michelle "Mickey" Pfeiffer and husband Mike of Mt. He was born in Griggsville, a son of Fred and Edna Hornbeck Kircher. He married Esther Chamberlain in 1950 in Arkansas. She survives. Surviving besides the son in Raymond, Tim and wife Debbie, are sons, Doug Kircher and wife Lisa of Jacksonville and Phillip Kircher and wife Joan of Springfield; a sister, Constance Athey and husband Charles of Sullivan; and three grandchildren.

Neil William Kirchner, father of Terrisa Kirchner of Fillmore, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 1999, in Memorial Hospital, Miami, Fla. He was 65 years old on August 24. He was born in Washington, Mo., a son of William and Ethel Kirchner, graduated from Granite City High School in the class of 1952, and joined the military, serving both in the Navy and the Air Force. He most recently resided in Quatalara, Mexico. Surviving besides the daughter in Fillmore are sons, Ted and Tony Kirchner of Florida, Tim Kirchner of Arizona; his mtoher, Ethel Reed of Ramsey; brother, Gene Kirchner of Maryland; and nine grandchildren.

Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kirk died Thursday, July 1, 1999, in Pleasant Hill Village, Girard. He was 98 years old on Octdober 23. He was a beekeeper until he retired in 1989. He was born in Farmersville, a son of William and Hester Brubaker Kirk. A sister, Hester Kirk of Girard, survives.

Andrew James Kish, Jr., formerly of the Walshville and Mt. Olive areas, died Saturday, December 12, 1998, in Santa Teresa Kaiser Hopital, San Jose, Calif. He was 64 years old last December 24. He was a metallurgial engineer for LockheedİMartin in Sunnyvale, Calif., and a graduate of the University of Illinois and Mt. Olive High School. He was a son of Andrew and Anna Cervanak Kish. Surviving are his wife, the former Judy Castleman; daughter, Kathy Finnegan of Tucson; sisters, Leona Riecan of University Place, Wash., Eleanor Svetlik and Mary Petrunich, both of Springfield; brother, Edward Kish of Yakima, Wash.; and two grandsons. Funeral Mass was held Tuesday in Santa Teresa Catholic Church in San Jose. Private graveside services will be held Thursday in Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, with the Kassly Funeral Home, Collinsville, in charge of arrangements.

She was born in Eau Claire, Wis., a daughter of Albert and Esther Johnson Shaw. She married James Everett Kissell on December 17, 1959, in Mississippi; he died January 25, 1991. Surviving are daughters, Pat Cox and husband Rick of Mt. Olive, Mary Wayman of Benld, Jamie Kissell of Gillespie; six grandchildren, Cassandra Hancock, Ted Hopper Jr., Ben Harrison, Sara Jacobs, Tara Kissell, all of Gillespie, and Tyler J. Kissell of Benld; and seven great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were sisters, Margaret Vyse and Irene Carstens. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Bethel Southern Baptist Church of Staunton. Mr. Kleeman died at 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 17, 1998, in Staunton Memorial Hospital. He was 70 years old on September 24, and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was licensed to preach in 1954, and was ordained a Southern Baptist minister in 1956. He continued in missionary and ministry work until his death. He had resided in Staunton for 36 years and was a member of the Bethel Southern Baptist Church there. As a journeyman lineman with Union Electric and with contractors, he was a 47 year member of the I.B.E.W. Local 649. He was born in Tarkio, Mo., a son of John H. and Louise Fischer Kleeman. He married Juanita Metz on December 24, 1946, in Bethalto. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Larry Kleeman of Staunton, Lyndall Kleeman and wife Ramona of Freeburg, Kenny Kleeman and wife Lisa of Carlinville; sister, Frances Lueck of Blackburn, Mo.; brother, John W. Kleeman of Aurora, Mo.; eight grandchildren and two great grandsons. Preceding him in death were brothers, Udo, Elmer, Omar and Olin Kleeman and a grandson, Bruce Kleeman.

She was 83 years old on July 9. She was a cook in the cafeteria of the Staunton school district for 13 years before she retired in 1980. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Staunton, the Ladies Aid of the church, the Senior Citizens of the church. She was also a member of the Macoupin County Genealogical Society and the Macoupin County Historical Society. She was born in Carpenter, a daughter of Carl and Minnie Kessmann Scheibe. She married Edgar L. Klein on May 31, 1936, in Trinity Lutheran Church of Edwardsville. He died April 11, 1988. Surviving are a daughter, Judy Sherfy and husband Bob of Staunton; brothers, William and Orville Scheibe, both of Edwardsville; grandsons, Mark Sherfy of Fairview Heights, Michael Sherfy of Champaign; and two great grandsons, Jay and Alex Sherfy of Fairview Heights.

She was born in Eagarville, a daughter of Louis and Eugenia Francisci Lanzerotti. Her husband, Stnaley Klein, died May 25, 1959. Surviving are a son, James Klein of The Woodlands, Texas; daughters, Loretta Wheeler of Gillespie, Gail Allison of McAllen, Texas; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Preceding her in deth were brothers, Mike and Frank Lanzerotti and sisters, Edith Mondia and Mary Pedrucci.

Mrs. Kleinik died at 8:02 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 1999, in Vancor Hospital, St. Louis. She was 65 years old on September 5. She worked as a nurse's aide in St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland, for 11 years. She was born in Brownstown, a daughter of James Franklin and Annette Post Busch. Her family later moved to Pinckneyville. She attended schools and high school in the Reno-Sorento area. She married Berthal E. Kleinik on February 19, 1953, in Green ville. He died October 9, 1989. Surviving are sons, Jeffrey L. Kleinik, David A. Kleinik and Kevin M. Kleinik, all of Pocahontas; another daughter, Paula J. Lloyd of Mulberry Grove; brothers, George Busch of Granite City, Ronald Busch and Ed Forbes of Green ville; a sister, Mary Best of Walnut Cove, N.C.; and 13 grandchildren. Preceding her in death was a brother, James Leon Busch.

Virginia R. Klemm, formerly of Gillespie, died Tuesday, December 15, 1998, in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville. She was 79 years old on May 22. She was a registered nurse employed by the Christian County Health Department before she retired. She was born in Gillespie, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Fallin. She married Maxwell Klemm in 1946, in Gillespie. He died in 1960. Surviving are a son, Max Klemm of Taylorville; daughters, Jackie Davis of Princeton, Ginny Klemm of Taylorville; brothers, William Fellin of Taylorville, Ralph Fellin of Washington, Mo.; sister, Pearl Spagnola of Watchie, Wash.; five grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Mr. Klim died at 8:07 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 1999, in Hillsboro Hospital. He was 72 years old on November 19, and a Navy veeran of World War II having served from 1944 to 1946. A farmer in the Irving area, he spent most of his life in the Hillsboro and Irving areas. She was a member of the Farm Bureau, American Legion at Irving, Litchfield Moose Lodge, Litchfield VFW and the Montgomery County Pork Producers. He was born in Springfield, a son of Peter and Helen Katherine Sherrock Klim. He married Josephine C. Franklin on June 18, 1949, in Springfield. She died May 31, 1990. Surviving are a son, William Charles Klim and wife Dana of Jackson, Mo., and four grandchildren.
Klinefelter, J. Allen
Services for J. Allen Klinefelter, father of Kent "Skip" Klinefelter of Nokomis, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Stiehl - Dawson Funeral Home, Nokomis, with the Rev. James Longstreet officiating. Burial will be in Buckeye Cemetery in rural Taylorville. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Mr. Klinefelter, of Wickenburg, Ariz., died Wednesday, November 10, 1999, in Del E. Webb Memorial Hospital, Sun City West, Ariz. He was 76 years old on November 8. He was a farmer, worked in sales and also owned and operated a ranch. He was born in Taylorville, a son of C.G. and Leona Klinefelter. His first wife, the former Marjorie Aldine Friedrich, died October 10, 1968. A second wife, also Marjorie, survives. Surviving, in addition, are three other children, Danny Klinefelter of College Station, Texas, Steve Donnell of Waddell, Ariz., Lynn Klinefelter of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Paul Meredith Klinefelter of Arlington, Va.; sister, Helen Saxton of Grosse Pointe, Mich. and Sun Lakes, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a brother, James H. Klinefelter.
Kloberdanz, Thelma R.
Services for Thelma Riggin Kloberdanz, formerly of Litchfield, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Union Avenue Christian Church with the Rev. Jay Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Sorento. Friends may call on Friday in the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials are suggested to the church. Mrs. Kloberdanz, a resident of the Barton Stone Christian Home in Jacksonville, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 1999, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. She was 76 years old on July 13. She was a teacher and head librarian at George Washington High School in Denver, Colo. for many years. She was a member of the Union Avenue Christian Church and a 1941 graduate of Litchfield High School. She attended Blackburn College in Calrinville and the University of Illinois in Urbana, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She was born in Litchfield, a daughter of William and Mina Jenkins Riggin. Her marriage to Jack Kloberdanz ended in divorce. Surviving are a brother, Charles Riggin and wife Isabel of Southern Pines, N.C. and a sister, Reba Riggin of Kennebunk, Maine. Services for Thelma M. Riggin Kloberdanz were held at 10 a.m. Friday in Union Avenue Christian Church. Rev. Jay Johnson officiated. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Sorento. Musical selections were "Beyond the Sunset" and "In the Garden." Paul Kincaid, the vocalist, accompanied himself on the piano. Linda Maulding was the organist. Pallbearers were Stan Horst, Richard Neimann, both of Litchfield, Jim Olson of Arvada, Colo., Robert Proske, Buel Schwab and Bob Towell, also of Litchfield. Mrs. Kloberdanz, 76 of Jacksonville and formerly of Litchfield, died Sunday, August 22, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield.
Klump, Orville Floyd
Services for Orville Floyd Klump, of Hillsboro, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Bass Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Langhoff, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Litchfield, officiating. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, Raymond. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Zion Lutheran Church of Litchfield. Mr. Klump died at 12:46 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 1998, in his home. He was 91 years old on March 16. He had resided in Hillsboro for the past 10 years. In his youth he farmed in the Windsor area then moved to a farm near Raymond. He also worked for the ASC office until 1954. In 1955, he and his wife moved to Arizona. He was then employed by the Washington School District at Royal Palms School until he retired in 1971. They then traveled extensively with a group of recreational vehicle enthusiasts known as The Maricopa Family Campers. He was a lifelong member of the Farm Bureau and was a very active member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Litchfield. He was born in Strasburg, a son of Edward George and Emma Matilda Spannagel Klump. He married Juanita Childress on March 19, 1928, in Charleston. She survives. Surviving also are sons, William Klump and wife Betty of Butler, Bob Klump and wife Virginia of Hillsboro, Gene Klump and wife Martha of Raymond; a daughter, Maree Worsham of Phoenix, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were sisters, Norma and Ada Klump and a great grandson, Jeremy Chappelear.
Knackstedt, Walter
Services for Walter Knackstedt, of Worden, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Trinity Lutheran Church there with the Rev. Jeffrey Gross officiating. Burial will be in Worden Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday in Williamson Funeral Home in Worden. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Siding Fund or to the Worden Fire Department. Mr. Knackstedt died at 10:03 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 1999, in Hitz Home, Alhambra. He was 88 years old on April 24. He resided in the Worden area all of his life and was self employed as a farmer and truck driver. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was born in Worden, a son of Charles and Lena Albrecht Knackstedt. He married Irene Gusewelle on May 1, 1937; she died January 23, 1943. He married Adele Monke on September 27, 1947, in Mt. Olive; she survives. Surviving also are a son, Lewis Knackstedt and wife Lorene of Alhambra; daughter, Donna Schaefer and husband Larry of Worden; eight grandchildren, Rodney, Kent, Perry, Kirby, Allen and Kimberley Knackstedt, Denise Grandame and Tammy Bone; and five great grandchildren, Crystal, Jeremiah, Briana and Justin Knackstedt, and Kelsey Jo Bone. Preceding him in death were a son, Adolph Knackstedt; brothers, Harold and Oscar Knackstedt; and twin great grandchildren, Nicole Marie and Hannah Jo Knackstedt.
