Services for Leona Knecht, of Nokomis, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Stiehl - Dawson Funeral Home there with the Rev. Hal Minser officiating. Burial will be in the Nokomis Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Mrs. Knecht died at 6:05 this morning, Friday, November 12, 1999, in Golden Manor Nursing Home. She was 83 years old on October 20. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was born in St. Louis, a daughter of William and Lena Peters McCullen. She married Harold Knecht on November 18, 1944, in Springfield. He survives. Surviving also are a daughter, Shirley Knecht of Nokomis; son, Charles Knecht and wife Barbara of Taylorville; sister, Blanche Kittel of Florrisant, Mo.; and five grandchildren. A brother, William McCullen, preceded her in death.
Knibb, Sterling A.
Services for Sterling A. Knibb, of Wilsonville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie, with the Rev. Father Larry Auda officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie. Friends may call in the funeral home on Saturday after 12:30 p.m. Mr. Knibb died at 4:50 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 1998, in Staunton Memorial Hospital. He was 79 years old on February 2. He worked for the Gillespie Community School District 7 as a janitor before he retired. Prior to that he was employed as a labor at the Olin Ammunition plant in Alton. He was born in Bunker Hill, although his parents names are unknown at the present time. Surviving are sons, David Bloomfield of Carlinville, Timothy Lauth of Collinsville, Bradley Joe Knibb, Sandy Thomas Knibb, addresses unknown; daughters, Kathy Sherf of Carlinville, Nancy Coble of Springfield; three grandchildren and one great grandchildren. Others surviving include a companion, Virginia Crabtree of Wilsonville. Preceding him in death were a son, Jeffrey Leonard Knibb and two brothers, Al and Wally Knibb.
Knodle, Kenneth
Services for Kenneth Knodle, father of former county board member Gene Knodle, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the United Methodist Church of Fillmore with the Revs. Ernest Flowers and Tim Woolard officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Miller Funeral Home at Fillmore and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday in the church. The family suggests memorials be directed to the United Methodist Church of Fillmore or the Anti Thief Association. Mr. Knodle, of rural Fillmore, died at 11 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 1999, in Hillsboro Hospital. He was 89 years old on July 30. He was a farmer and was active in the Fillmore Methodist Church where he was also a member of the Comrade's Club. He was born in Montgomery county, a son of Glenn and Lillie E. Hoffman Knodle. He married Genevieve Pauline Kroeger on January 26, 1935, in Hillsboro. She died Jan. 21, 1990. Surviving besides the Eugene Knodle and wife Joyce of Fillmore, are a daughter, Donna Chausse and husband Joe of Hillsboro; sisters, Marie Fraizer of Kansas City, Mo., Lucille Wolford of Fillmore, Mary Belle Blaylock, Betty Anderson, both of Decatur, Dorothy Whitten of Grants Pass, Oregon; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a brother, Wayne Knodle.
Kobetisch, Emaroy
Graveside service for Emaroy Kobetisch, of Nokomis, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Nokomis Cemetery. The Rev. James Norton will officiated. Mrs. Kobetisch died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 31, 1998, in Golden Manor Nursing Home, Nokomis. She was 95 years old on August 18. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Nokomis. She was born in St. Louis, a daughter of Allie Bank and Estelle Keller Wilburn. She was first married to Robert Johnson. On February 7, 1927, in St. Louis, she married Frank Kobetisch. He died December 27, 1993. Surviving are two children, Allien Pilgrim of Green ville and Robert B. Johnson of Englewood, Fla.
Koches, Samuel
Samuel Koches, formerly of Benld, died Sunday, September 5, 1999, in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville. He was 88 years old on January 24, and was an Army veteran of World War II. During the war he served in the Battle of the Bulge and earned several awards, including the Purple Heart, the Army of Occuaption Medal, Germany, American defense Service Ribbon with Bronze Star, first and second Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, European Theater Ribbon, three Overseas Bars, Service Stripe, Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He retired in 1973 as a coal miner from Peabody Coal Company Mine 10. He was born in Benld, a son of Samuel, Sr., and Rosie May Evan Koches. He married Carmen Jean Gerardi in 1961 in Springfield. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Sam Koches of Peoria, Ariz. and a sister, Regina Kochis of Fountain Hills, Ariz. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Rita's Catholic Church, Kincaid. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pawnee. Masterson Funeral Home, Kincaid, is in charge of arrangements.
Kocian, Emma Rosemary
Funeral Mass for Emma Rosemary Kocian, of New Douglas, will be said at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Ubladus Catholic Church there by the Rev. Father George Radosevich. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Livingston. Friends may call on Thursday in Lesicko Funeral Home, New Douglas, from one hour before the service. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to Alzheimers research. Mrs. Kocian died Tuesday, September 22, 1998, in Hampton Nursing Care at Alhambra. She was 88 years old on February 13. She was a seamstress at Marshall Field in Chicago for 40 years before moving to New Douglas 21 years ago. She also resided in Livingston for a time. She was a member of St. Ubaldus church and an avid bowler and golfer. She was born in Vetroffwesfolin, Germany, a daughter of John and Pauline Smandek Drozdak. Her first marrigae, to Arthur Walker, ended in divorce. On May 10, 1947, she married Rudy Kocian. He survives. Surviving also are a daughter, Grace June Walker of Oak Park; a sister, Bertha Ostrowsky of New Douglas; and a foster sister, Rosemary Swaljug of Chicago. Preceding her in death were three brothers, Victor, Arthur and Ludwig Drozdak.

Funeral Mass for Sister Mary John Koeberlein, O.P., will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Sacred Heart Convent Chapel. Burial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel with interment to follow in the Calvary Cemetery. She was 88 years old. She was born in St. Elmo, a daughter of John and Lena Stock Koeberlein. She entered the novitiate of the Dominican Sisters in 1931 and pronounced religious vows in 1933. She devoted 52 years to ministering in elementary and high schools in Illinois, including Sacred Heart Academy in Springfield and St. Mary's School here in 1984-85. She retired to the Motherhouse in 1985. Surviving is a brother and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters preceded her in death.

Services for Mildred E. Koehne, of Staunton, were held at 10 this morning in St. Michael's Catholic Church there with the Rev. George Radosevich officiating. Burial will be in Hoxsey Cemetery in rural Alhambra. Mrs. Koehne died at 4:40 a.m. Friday, July 17, 1998, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. She was 80 years old on June 19. She was born in Granite City, a daughter of Grover and Wilhelmina Thorman Hutchings. She married John J. Koehne on December 17, 1938, in St. Charles, Mo. He died February 1, 1974. Surviving are six daughters, Mary Frances Ruffini of Staunton, Catherine Ann Ouellette of St. Louis, Nancy Marie Nolan, Angela Joan Langiano, both of Springfield, Ellen Elizabeth Gorenz of Alhambra, Carol Lynn Silver of Las Vegas, Nev.; four sons, John Edward Koehne of Staunton, David Michael Koehne of Livingston, James Richard Koehne of Mt. Olive, Daniel Robert Koehne of Herscher; sisters, Violet Rusick, Ella Davis, both of Granite City; brothers, Richard Hutchings of Granite City, Billy Hutchings of Daytona, Fla., Ralph Hutchings of Michigan; 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were one grandson and seven brothers and sisters.

Algerie "Jerry" Kogen, sister of Anna Mae Scheldt of Litchfield, died Friday, November 13, 1998, in Lewis Memorial Christian Village, Springfield. She was 90 years old on August 20. She was a dress designer for more than 50 years and had owned and operated a dress company in Chicago. She was born in Clay County, a daughter of Stewart and Anna Myrtle Westfal Barker, and graduated from Virden High School. Surviving besides her sister are a son, David Kogen of Chicago, and a brother, James Barker of Canyon Lake, Texas. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Calvert and Ferry Funeral Home, Virden. Burial will be in Virden Cemetery.

Private services for Elizabeth Kollins, of Gillespie, will be held Saturday in Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie. Burial will be in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Carlinville. Miss Kollins died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 1998, in Carlinville Hospital. She was 89 years old last November 18. She was employed as a clerk, last working for an apparel distributor in St. Louis. She was born in Jerry Lind, Ark., a daughter of Martin V. and Elizabeth Kaus Kollins. She was never married. The last of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by a brother, Martin J. Kollins. Surviving is a nephew, John Kollins of Waverly.
Komanecky, Raymond
Services for Raymond Komanecky, of Livingston, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Lesicko Funeral Home there with the Rev. Father Paul Waters officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Orthodox Cemetery, Livingston. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Panikhida will be said at 7:30 p.m. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Holy Dormition Orthodox Church or the Veterans Memorial Fund. Mr. Komanecky died at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 1999, in St. Francis Hospital. He was 81 years old on September 5, and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a precision tool grinder with McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis for 25 years before retiring in 1986. He worked earlier in his career for Borg-Warner in Decatur and Laclede Steel in Madison. In his youth he played minor league baseball from 1939 until entering the Navy in 1942. He resumed playing minor league ball following his discharge in 1945. While in the Navy he was a machinist mate. He was a member of the Holy Dormition Orthodox Church of Benld, American Legion Post 312 of St. Charles, Mo., and the International Assocaition of Machinists Union. In addition, he enjoyed playing the fiddle and was named the Illinois State Senior Division fiddle champion 11 times. He was born in Livingston, a son of Steve and Julia Rydgig Komanecky. His marriage ended in divorce. Surviving are a daughter, Kathy S. Avery of Scotland Neck, N.C.; a sister, Mary Stanhaus Dierbeck of Northbrook; brother, Cyril Komanecky and wife Iona of Ferguson, Mo.; two grandchildren, Tammy Marshall and James Gray, both of Scotland Neck, and one great grandchild. A brother, Thomas Komanecky, preceded him in death.

Mr. Komanetsky died at 8:48 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 1999, in Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia. He was 72 years old on November 13, and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a farmer before he retired. He was born in Benld, a son of Michael and Anastasia Katrenich Komanetsky. His wife, the former Aileen Rolando, died July 29, 1984. Surviving are a son, Brian K. Komanetsky of Gillespie; brothers, Michael Komanetsky of Benld, Dr. William Komanetsky of Collinsville; sisters, Helen Rankin of Wentzville, Mo., Dorothy Villa of Gillespie. He was a member of the Holy Dormition Orthodox Church, Benld, and the S.N.P.J. Lodge. He was born in Witt, a son of Andrew and Anna Vavrek Komar. He married Mary Charnisky in November 1950 in Benld. She died August 18, 1996. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Gathard of St. Louis; sisters, Suzanna Hill of South Carolina, Celia Komar of Miami, Fla., Anna Pacek of Port Richie, Fla.; a granddaughter, Donna Tiernan; and three great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were brothers, Andrew, Pete, Steve and Michael Komar and sisters, Helen Walls, Mary Bain and Catherine.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Konneker died at 2:46 a.m. Tuesday, September 29, 1998, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. He was 68 years old on July 29, and an Air Force veteran of the Korean and the Vietnam Wars. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service and later managed the Carlinville Elks Club. He was a member of the Rural Methodist Church near Carlinville. He was born in Carlinville, a son of Paul C. and Grace Harkey Konneker. He married Norma Owens in 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives. Surviving also are sons, Steven and Kevin Konneker, both of Springfield, Robert Konneker of Carlinville; a daughter, Cindy Verton of Gillespie; step daughters, Carol White of Boise, Idaho, Pamela Kluthe of Edwardsville; step son, Richard Ruhkick of Fairbanks, Alaska; a sister, Eleanor Bain and husband Wayne of Carlinville; and several grandchildren. Other survivors in the local area include nieces, Gayle Hanafin, Linda Wright and a nephew, Robert Bain, all of Litchfield.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie. Friends may call Friday in the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Mrs. Konneker, of Bethalto, died at 11:30 p.m. Monday, August 16, 1999, in Anderson Hospital at Maryville. She was 69 years old on March 12. She worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement and was employed by Daley Chevrolet and Buick in Gillespie for many years. She later worked for Illinois Valley Economic Development Corporation. She was born in Hillsboro, a daughter of Fred and Zella Turn Owens, and was married twice. Her first husband, Larence Mazely, died February 19, 1976. Her second husband, Gerald Konneker, died September 29, 1998. Surviving are a daughter, Pam Kluthe and husband Mike of Edwardsville; brother, Francis Owens of Pratt, Kansas; and two grandchildren, Daniel and Brian Kluthe, both of Edwardsville.
Koski, Wilbert H.
Military services for Wilbert H. Koski, father of Laurie Van Middendorp of Butler and Linda Severe of Nokomis, were held today in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Mr. Koski died Monday, December 28, 1998, in his home in Chicago. He was 65 years old. He had resided in Chicago for many years, having moved there from Nokomis. He joined the Army at the age of 16 and later joined the Navy. After his retirement he worked for the Department of the Treasury and the U.S. Customs Service. Surviving besides Mrs. Van Middendorp, are sons, David Koski of Ramsey and Daniel Koski of Cary.
Koster, Aneda F.
Aneda F. Koster, formerly of the Gillespie area, died Saturday, January 23, 1999, in Carlinville Hospital. She was 97 years old last March 10. She attended Spanish Needle School from 1928 to 1942 and was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gillespie. She formerly worked as a private housekeeper. She was born in Honey Point Township of Macoupin county, a daughter of Jacob and Eliza Brunken Eber. She married Henry "Hank" Koster in 1942 in Carlinville. He died in 1980. Surviving are nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Heinz Funeral Home, Carlinville. Burial will be in New Calvary Cemetery, Carlinville.
Krainz, Roberta M.
Roberta M. Krainz, of Shipman, died at 1:18 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 1999, in her home. She was 70 years old on December 11. She worked for Dura Craft Kitchens in Gillespie before she retired. She was born in East Alton, a daughter of Cecil and Clara M. Taylor Collins. She married Fred J. Krainz on November 24, 1973, in Springfield. He survives. Surviving are daughters, Kennie Sue Zarges of Daytona Beach, Fla., Debra Smith of Wilsonville; brother, James Collins of Hawthorne Town, California; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a son, Dennis W. Moore and a sister, Jennie Collins. No services are scheduled at this time. The remains are to be cremated. Kravanya Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Services for Florence E. Kramer, of Staunton, were held at 10 this morning in Williamson Funeral Home there. The Rev. Avis Richardson officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Staunton. Mrs. Kramer died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 1999, in her home. She was 82 years old on January 9. She was a clerk and salesperson for some 20 years at Heinz and Braido Shoe Store, which later became Billings Shoe Store. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Staunton, Staunton Memorial Hospital Volunteer group, Staunton Country Club, Lewis and Clark Painting Club in Benld, and a former member of the Staunton Junior Service Club. She was born in Staunton, a daughter of Matthew and Barbara Meldrum Day. She married Homer A. Kramer on September 27, 1941. He died September 20, 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Diane Driemeyer and husband John of Highland; sons, Kirk Kramer and wife Janet, Kent Kramer and wife Bev, all of Staunton; six grandchildren, Jason and Mark Kramer, Kristie Billings, Dereck and Jed Driemeyer and Jenny Mundy; and a great grandson, Austin Billings. Preceding her in death were a sister, Viola Fleming and a brother, Bill Day.

Services for Raymond P. Kramer, mayor of Fillmore for 20 years, were held at 11 this morning in the Fillmore United Methodist Church. The Rev. Tim Woodward officiated. Burial was in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Taylorville. Mr. Kramer died Friday, February 26, 1999, in Pana Hospital. He was 87 years old on October 20. He was a farmer and also worked at Sangamon Card for 14 years. He served on the Taylorville School Board for 10 years and was a former president of the board. He was a member of the Fillmore United Methodist Church, the Morrisonville A.F.&A.M. Lodge. He was born in Christian County, a son of William P. and Roxanna Ladd Kramer. He married Ogretta L. Schaffe on April 7, 1934. She survives. Surviving also are a son, Ray Kramer of Bingham; daughters, Shirley Behrends of Brownstown, Donna Daughtry, Carole Swigert, Sharon Downs, all of Taylorville; sisters, Helen Budds of Pana, Caroline Wilson of Shelbyville; 13 grandchildren and 13 great granddaughters.

The family suggests memorials be directed to the First Baptist Church Building Fund or the Cancer Society. Mr. Kranich died at 10:23 a.m. Sunday, October 10, 1999, in Litchfield HealthCare Center. He was 91 years old on May 15. He was owner and operator of the Belvidere Motel and Restaurant in Litchfield for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Litchfield since 1933, and the Elk's in Litchfield for 57 years. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing and hunting. He was born in rural Litchfield, a son of Christopher and Alice Fisher Kranich. He married Edith Cerolla on June 22, 1929, in Waukegan. She died in October 1984. Surviving are a son, James Kranich and wife JoAnn of Hillsboro; daughter, Jean Ann Heyen of Springfield; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a brother, Paul Kranich and two grandchildren, Molly Bea Olson and Dan Heyen. Services for Lester Lee Kranich, of Litchfield, were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Meinschein Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Allen, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiated. Michelle Sweet was the organist. Pallbearers were James Kranich, Dennis Heyen, Michael Heyen and Robert Ewing. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. Mr. Kranich, 91, died Sunday, October 10, in Litchfield HealthCare.
Krankel, John
John C. Krankel, brother of Ed Krankel of Sorento, died Tuesday, June 23, 1998, in Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, Farmington, Mo. He was 72 years old on December 31, and veteran of World War II, having served in both the Army and the Merchant marines. He was a truck driver for Standard Oil and Amoco for 41 years, retiring in 1986. He was born in St. Louis, a son of John A. and Helen "Ella" Fogg Krankel. He married Betty Eldridge on September 10, 1967, in St. Louis. She survives. Surviving are sons, John A. Krankel of Carmi, Steve M. Krankel of Godfrey; daughters, June Duckett of Possum Trot, Ky., Pam Hausman of Plainview; other brothers, Clarence Krankel of Glendale, Ariz., Robert Krankel of Troy, Mo.; sister, Judy Howard of Cottage Hills; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchidlren. Services for Lucille M. Krebs, mother of Estelle Bruemmer of Hillsboro, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Dominic Church in Breese with the Rev. Father Patrick Peter officiating. Mrs. Krebs, of Breese, died Sunday, August 23, 1998, in St. John's Hospital, Springfield. She was 94 years old on October 20. She was employed as a bookkeeper for the Clinton County Rural Electric Association in Breese until she retired. She was a member of the St. Dominic Church and Altar Sodality, the Daughters of Isabella Precious Blood Circle and the Breese American Legion Post 252 Auxiliary. She was also a past president of the Breese Senior Citizens. She was born in Laclede, Ill., a daughter of Fred and Elizabeth Hitpas Schneider. She married Joseph B. Krebs on January 27, 1926, in St. Louis. He died December 25, 1993. Surviving besides her daughter, Estelle and husband William Bruemmer of Hillsboro, are nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Among other survivors is a daughter in law, Dolores Krebs of Breese. Preceding her in death were a son, Donald Krebs; a brother Leo Schneider and a sister, Winifred Osborn.

Mrs. Kreis, of Springfield, died at 10:15 p.m. Monday, August 2, 1999, in Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was 91 years old on June 6. She was born in Athens, a daughter of Henry and Gretje "Kate" Dirks Reinders. She married Karl F. Kreis on August 20, 1928, in Athens. He died November 7, 1989. Surviving are a son, Carroll G. Kreis and wife Betty of Springfield; six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a son, Kenneth Lee Kreis on Octber 2, 1989, six sisters, two brothers and two grandsons.

Services for Irene Dmytryk Krend, formerly of Benld, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Dormition Orthodox Church, Benld, with the Rev. Paul Waters officiating. Burial will be in Holy Dormition Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in Kravanya Funeral Home, Benld. Panikhida service will be held at 7:30 p.m. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Holy Dormition Church. Mrs. Krend died at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 1999, in her home in Lemoore, Calif. She was 80 years old on May 19. She was a secretary at an elementary school in Covina, Calif., before she retired. She waas born in Benld, a daughter of Michael and Mary Rydgig Dmytryk. She married Patrick H. Krend on May 17, 1942, in Benld. He died April 30, 1992. Surviving are sons, Jeffrey Krend of Hartfod, Conn., William Krend and wife Marjorie of Lemoore, Calif.; brother, William Dmytryk of St. Augustine, Fla.; sister, Lucile Adams of Benld; and four grandchildren, Andrew, Kira, Julie and Michael Krend. Preceding her in death were a brother, Harold Dmytryk and a sister, Genevieve Kuklis.
Krug, Alphonse J.
Services for Alphonse J. Krug, formerly of Staunton, were held at 10 this morning in Kravanya Funeral Home, Benld. The Rev. Father Larry Auda officiated. Burial was in Benld City Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Joseph's Church in Benld. Mr. Krug died at 9:25 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 1998, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Danville. He was 84 years old on August 7, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a plumber and worked in the construction industry before he retired. He was born in Staunton, a son of William and Lenna Coerver Krug. His wife, the former Ann Spudich, preceded him in death. Surviving are sons, Steve Spudich of Sullivan, Mo., Robert Krug of Bunker Hill and a grandson. A brother, William Krug preceded him in death.
Krupp, Mary F.
Graveside service for Mary F. Krupp, of Texas and formerly of Hillsboro, was held Tuesday in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in Texas. Mrs. Krupp, 72, died Wednesday, June 30, 1999. Her husband, Dr. Jerome Krupp, USAF retired, survives. While they were stationed at Brooks Air Force Base, Texas, Mrs. Krupp was recognized as Volunteer of the Year for her work with base Family Services. She was active in other organizations, including the Ladies of the Oriental Shrine, Daughters of the Nile and Order of the Eastern Star. She as a life member of the Braken V.F.D. A graduate of Hillsboro High School, she also attended William Woods College in Fulton, Mo. Surviving besides her husband, a son, Terry Krupp and wife Janis of Bellevue, Neb.; daughter, Patricia S. Laffin and husband Dennis of Youngsville, Iowa; brother, Walter Edwards and wife Gloria of Bethel, Conn.; and five grandchildren.
